Sightseeing tour

After breakfast, we will visit City Palace complex and the shores of the Lake Pichola.

The City Palace was built as the capital of the Sisodia Rajput family by Maharana Udai Mirza Singh in 1559, after he moved from Chittor. Situated on the east bank of the Pichola Lake, it has many palaces inside its complex. Believed to be the largest of its kind in Rajasthan, the splendid building represents a perfect combination of the Mughal and Rajasthani architectural styles.

Later, we will visit the mysterious palaces and beautiful gardens. Continue our drive we will head towards the Saheliyon ki Badi, the Garden of the Maids of Honour for the Royal Ladies of Mewar.

The rest of the afternoon is free for leisure or you can enjoy a boat ride on the striking Lake Pichola, sailing past the sstunning City Palace, Jag Mandir Island and the famous Jag Niwas Island.

In the evening, we will transfer you to the hotel for an overnight stay.

The tour with WTX (world travel experience) was amazing!From start, the communication was excellent, all questions answered and extra requests met. Very early arrival at the Delhi airport was no problem for pick-up, our driver Ram is just a darling and was our loved companion over the 10 days (we added extra nights in Delhi)! We saw all the amazing cities, with nice guides and the upgraded hotels were worthwhile though a bit far from central towns (with Ram no problem, picking us up). Be prepared to be shown some shops by the tour guides, expect to buy textils, marbel goods or similiar with no problem of not buying or simply not going to the shop. The trip was a wonderful experience and exceeded our expectations!!

Colorful India with Taj Mahal & Rajasthan

It was not an expensive tour and some aspects will reflect that. The hotels aren't 4/5 star but they are clean I'd in a bit of disrepair in some situations. My driver Lakhan Singh made me feel safe and cared for which was very important as a solo traveller and I'd recommend him to other solo women. If I wanted roadside chai he'd ask me to stay in the car and he'd bring me the chai so I didn't have to deal with stares or rude questions, and when my tour ran a bit late he checked in repeatedly to make sure everything was ok. The tour guides are a range of skill and experience but they'll be different for every city. My favorites were Nipendra in Udaipur and Bhawani in Jaipur. They customized the tour on the fly for me when I expressed that I wanted different experiences.If I were to do it again the only change I'd make is the length. A day extra in Delhi and Jaipur would have been ideal for me, and while I'm sure the company would have made those adjustments for me, it was my first trip to India and I wasn't expecting to be overwhelmed by the beautiful sights.

We took this week long trip covering Agra, Delhi, Jaipur, Pushkar and Udaipur in December 2022. Our driver took us from city to city and we met a different tour guide in every city. The Driver was prompt and communicative and we felt very safe the entire trip. The sights were amazing and guides were decent as well. The accommodations were luxurious and we had a lot of time to rest in between long days of sightseeing.

An incredible tour in an incredible country. India is diverse and complex, offering so much for travellers to see and explore. The pacing of the trip was intense, but appropriate would strongly recommend the tour for the intended age group 18-35.

North India Revealed, was an amazing tour. Our guide Sanjeev was really good. Free time is a bonus and though sometimes felt obligated to do what the rest of the group is doing, you can still go off and explore on your own. Watch out for beggars, of all ages including children. They don't take no for an answer. In India they expect tips, I wasn't aware of this but its on 10 Rupiahs which equates to about 2c Australian. Overall a really good trip.

Day 1 : Arrival at Delhi

Arrive Delhi on day one, You will be warmly welcomed by Travelogy India officials at the airport who will take you to a hotel and guide you in check process after that handed all document related to your trip.

Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 2 : Delhi - Agra (By Road 233 Kms / 4 Hrs)

Morning after breakfast, guided sightseeing tour of Delhi by visiting places like Qutub Minar, India Gate , Rashtrapati Bhawan, Lotus Temple , Humayun’s Tomb in New Delhi (the region that was the capital of British India).

Later visit Red Fort (Outside View), Rajghat , Chandni Chowk, Jama Masjid in Old Delhi (capital of Mughal empire of later time). Also enjoy the rickshaw ride in Old Delhi .

Afternoon we pick you up and drop at Agra (225 kms). On reaching Agra, assisted transfer to a pre-booked hotel.

Day 3 : Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur (By Road 240 Kms / 5 Hrs)

We set out to witness the rising sun over white marble monument: ‘Taj Mahal’ . It looks as if Taj Mahal is being bathed in golden sparkle which makes it look more beautiful than it would have looked ever.

Back to hotel for breakfast and freshen up. Later visit Agra Fort will be the next stop of this day. This fort is like a mini aristocratic city with palaces, halls, mosques and other sites within its acreage.

You will be moved to Jaipur in afternoon . There will be Stopover at Fatehpur Sikri (capital city of Mughal dynasty for some time) in between the journey towards Jaipur.

Check in at a hotel in Jaipur and stay there for the whole night enjoying the royal hospitality of Rajasthan.

Day 4 : Jaipur Sightseeing

Post breakfast, explore the history of Rajputana in sites like Hawa Mahal which is an extremely popular tourist spot in the Pink City (It has 935 windows and five floors in the palace complex meant for royal women to glance out whenever they wanted to do so) . Enjoy elephant ride till Amber Fort and sightseeing.

Later Visit Jantar Mantar (best preserved astronomical observatory of the four observatories built by Jai Singh II) and museum in City Palace . In the evening, visit local markets of Jaipur.

Overnight stay at Jaipur.

Day 5 : Jaipur - Pushkar (By Road 150 Kms / 3 Hrs)

Post breakfast, drive will take you to the sacred town - Pushkar (250 kms). It is known for the ghats and temples tucked around the holy Pushkar Lake.

On your arrival at Pushkar , check into your hotel and take some rest.

Later we will take you to explore Brahma Temple, Pushkar lake and Nag Pahar . Move to hotel to spend a night at pure bliss.

Day 6 : Pushkar - Udaipur (By Road 277 Kms / 6 Hrs)

We set out for Udaipur , which is also referred to as the ‘City of Lakes’ because it has been blessed with strikingly impressive lakes.

On reaching Udaipur , assisted transfer to a hotel and relax for some time. Later visit Jag Mandir.

Evening show of traditional folk dance of Rajasthan at Bagore ki Haveli . Overnight stay at the hotel in Udaipur.

Day 7 : Udaipur Sightseeing

Post breakfast, On this day, visit to some picture perfect places in Udaipur is lined up for you: Lake Pichola, City Palace known for the museum that it houses.

Later visit Monsoon Palace (constructed with a tank made for rain water collection), saheliyon ki bari - garden meant for the royal ladies etc.

Overnight at Udaipur.

Day 8 : Udaipur - Delhi (Departure)

Post breakfast, journey back to Delhi. From here you will be bid a hearty farewell as you board the flight for Delhi.
