Amazing experience to Preveli Beach

We were very happy with the first excursion with Kyriakakis to Elafonisi which was worth seeing. Our guide Erika had a nice voice and was very good at telling us about the area and other stories about Chania and areas along the way. She was very clear on giving us times to get back to the coach and where and when we would stop for lunch. Our second excursion to Preveli Beach was good too. Our guide on this occasion though was not so clear on stop offs and seemed to keep having to think of what to say next on our journey to Preveli. I won't name her, but she was definitely not as good as Erika. Preveli is really worth seeing. A stunning palm forested river to walk through and also walk in the river. The beach was great too. Kyriakakis Travel picked us up right near our apartment and dropped us back in the same place.

I was extremely happy with this bus service. Our Driver Manoli was very friendly and polite. The service was well run and professional. They notified us to let us know they were running a little late. They even went to the trouble of returning my mobile phone to my hotel reception after I forgot it on the bus. Will highly recommend this company and be sure to use them again on my next visit to Crete.

The tour to Elafonissi was well organised by Kyriakakis Travel and the services are highly recommendable. Great choice of restaurant. The tour guide, Linda, made our day tour in Elafonissi a wonderful experience. She was a great narrator, enthusiastic, communicative and multilingual. She knows very well the history and the nature of the area and her general knowledge is very rich. Her lively narrative sounded like a History Channel or National Geographic voiceover at some points.

My wife and I walked through Samaria Gorge in June this year. We went with Kyriakakis Travel and we could not speak highly enough of our experience. The group was large - a coach full of participants but our bus driver and especially our guide were excellent. The guide was fully aware of the group members and brought up the rear so all members were in front of her for safety and guidance. This was especially important as there were over 1000 walkers in the Gorge the day we were there. Our guide Ingrid and her compatriot Pia wereparticularly knowledgeable about the geography as well as the history and culture of the area. We were also extremely grateful for the help they provided when my wife had an accidental fall. First aid was provided within minutes, care was taken over the remaining part of the walk and on returning to Chania we were dropped outside a clinic so follow up attention could be provided. The trip was excellent, the guides outstanding and the follow up attention impressive. We could not be more complimentary about the experience. We booked our trip via TripAdvisor but I would recommend any visitor to Crete and Chania book day tours directly with Kyriakakis Travel. They have an office conveniently located in the centre of Chania and their online site is equally easy to access. If going to Crete I would give my highest recommendations to Kyriakakis Travel.

We travelled with Kyriakakis to the Heraklion archeological museum and the Knossos Palace. The bus collection was punctual and the air conditioned bus with comfortable chairs helped us relax on the way to our destination. Our tour guide Katerina was very helpful and informative. Creating vivid stories of the myths and stories that surround the palace. The visit to the archaeological museum was not guided however the signs provide ample information to make it an informative experience. When we arrived at Knossos it was clear Katerina had a fountain of knowledge concerning the palace and really amazed my family with incredible facts and stories. The palace itself is really well persevered considering it’s age, and the replicas of the frescos are truly beautiful.( the originals are in the museum). Overall I would definitely recommend this guided tour to anyone who’s interested in learning about some ancient history and who’s looking for a fun day out to learn more about the country they are in!

July 14, 2023-my sister and I had the pleasure of taking a day trip to Elafonissi beach on a Kyriakakis Travel tour bus (booked by our hotel concierge). Dimitri, our driver, and Linda our tour guide arrived to pick us up right on time in the morning. The bus was large, clean and air conditioned well. Linda is very knowledgeable of the sites along the way and also with the local customs and traditions of the island. Dimitri was a great bus driver, he was very careful and precise on a very turnabout drive. They were both very nice, helpful and hospitable. We also stopped in a small town for a delicious early dinner. There was also a bakery and coffee shop nearby. We then started our way home which again the bus was prompt and dropped us off right at our hotel. We couldn’t have asked for a better day and tour! Thank you and we hope to see you again in the future.
