Would avoid where possible

Customer service is often slow and not very good (although friendly and willing to help). Boarding passes are issued extremely close to the flight (which can be stressful the day before the flight and you have no boarding pass) and it doesnt allow you to check in sooner even if you know check in is already open - my last flight i got my boarding passed the day before my flight even though check in was open for 30 days prior. Can’t seem to upgrade baggage and choose seats online, so you’re essentially forced to call them and be on hold for a long time. App is confusing and I felt forced to make an account, as it would not sync my flights to the app after being given my reference number and email several times, but as soon as I created an account which I didnt want to do, suddenly my flights synced and I don’t think that’s a councidence. They also stipulate that in their basic backage (so the basic fair you pay without upgrading) that they will not inform you of flight time changes or cancellations, which i find utterly appalling and should be a given included in the basic price. I only manage to give this app an extra star because the app was somewhat good in the sense it is ‘quirky’ by showing you the number of miles youve travelled and cities youve visited. But i’d much prefer a usable, efficient app for things like my flights, than something ‘quirky’. If you can book direct from the airline instead, please do.

Terrible never book an holiday or anything using Opodo

Terrible behind any stretch of Imagination NEVER ever make any kind of reservation via this and neither eDream they are the sme company! I made a reservation convinced it was package flight+hotel. I made a mistake with the reservation and tried to cancel but for some strange reason it wasn’t possible. Whilst making the reservation I add the insurance and also the premium. I find out that The opodo in spite of Premium do not refund and they claim because it was over the 24 hours ; once I argued that it wasn’t 24 hours since I made the cancellation they told me that is within midnight that you need to cancel and they told me to contact the insurance company which i did but it is a Scam! The insurance is Europ Assistance and it is a real scam! Please BE CAREFUL and do not make reservations with opodo or edreams they are same comiany or buy insurance with Europ Assistance m. I just been contacted by opodo and it will be another waste if my time …. They keep sendind you from one email to tge other from one number to the other and after wasting tour time tge answer is always the same they so not give your money back… SIMPLY Stay AWAY!!! I will be passing this message via Facebook, WhatsApp, twitter, trip advisor and I will keep spreading the news because people works hard for their money and you are stilling you should be brought to international Court! Hi, Thank you for sharing your comments with us. Kindly send us your concerns, indicating your booking reference, through the following form so that we can go through them: https://biturl.top/iqaYvq / Thank you in advance! Best regards, Auguste - App Support Team
I have never written an app review but wanted to caution my fellow travelers. First time booking via Opodo and I will DEFINITELY not be rebooking again. Called to check and find out about my fare conditions (my bad for not saving this). My first call was okay - but I requested for cancellation/change costs and only received an email with “refund amount xxx”, no information on change costs. I paid close to £600 and was only being offered £150 back (I would accept this if the costs were broken down clearly to me, but it wasn’t). Also the poor English/ formatting in the email seemed really unprofessional. I called in again to ask for a full breakdown. Customer support would not provide and got rude and kept raising his voice. When asked why he was being rude, he simply said that it was his normal voice and hung up on me. All in all, there is a complete lack of transparency and inability to provide basic information. Atrociously bad customer service, completely unacceptable. None of this information can be found in your booking page in the app or their site either. Better off paying a bit more to the airline/hotels directly and save yourself from this headache.

girl with blonde hair and flower headband wearing a red backpack looking over Oaxaca city - Opodo Prime review

Love travel? Love discounts? An Opodo Prime membership could be the perfect thing for you this year!

There’s really nothing better than bagging a great deal on travel, is there? Whether it’s finding a crazy sale price or error fare on a flight, or unlocking a discount on a swanky hotel, I’m always on the alert for a travel bargain.

Savvy travellers know that there are tons of great ways to find discounts for their trips. Saving up Airmiles with credit cards, regularly browsing Skyscanner in case a sale drops, even cashing in your Clubcard vouchers to spend on hotels (one of my favourites).

But what if you could just get a discount applied automatically, every time you book?

If you love to travel several times a year, then an Opodo Prime membership could be ideal. With it, you’ll get access to exclusive members-only discounts on flights, hotels, and car hire – without having to lift a finger!

In this post, I’ll outline exactly what Opodo Prime is, how much you can save, and if the membership is worth it for you. I hope it helps – but feel free to leave any questions in the comments at the end. Happy bargain hunting…

This post was brought to you in collaboration with Opodo. As always, all words and opinions are my own.

Who are Opodo?

How much does it cost, what travel discounts will i get, how much can i save.

  • What happen to bookings if you cancel?

Opodo Prime Day

Final thoughts, more money saving posts.

Opodo is an online travel agency and flight search engine, known for great travel bargains and low flight prices. I booked flights with them last time I was travelling in Thailand , and they often pop up as the cheapest option when I use flight comparison searches.

As well as flights, they also sell accommodation, package holidays , car hire, and more.

Useful during these uncertain times, Opodo also have a premium “Cancel for Any Reason” guarantee. You pay a bit extra, but you’ll be able to cancel your booking without fees or hassle – perfect for travel in the current environment.

What is Opodo Prime?

OK, so what actually IS Opodo Prime? Essentially, it’s an annual subscription you can sign up for that grants you access to exclusive members-only discounts on flights, accommodation, and car hire for any trip you’re planning.

Those discounts can be used ON TOP of any existing offers that Opodo are running. Prime members will be first to hear about all the best deals that are running, and you can combine any discount codes with your Prime membership savings for extra bargains!

Better yet – your Prime member discounts can be used on bookings for up to 10 people. You don’t all need a subscription, so families and couples can split the membership cost between them.

Prime members ALSO get access to an exclusive 24/7 VIP customer service line. With travel rules and restrictions changing fast all the time, it’s handy to have that level of support on hand should you need to cancel, or you run into any issues with your booking.

An Opodo Prime subscription costs £59.99 per year for UK customers. All new members also get 30 days FREE with the Opodo Free Trial (more on that in a mo).

  • Discounts on 100% of flights
  • Up to 50% discount on accommodation
  • Up to £40 off on car hire
  • The same discounts for all the people who travel with you (up to 9 other people)

Is Opodo Prime Worth It?

You may be wondering if Opodo Prime is actually worth the subscription fee. Well, I think that depends on you, and how often you travel. But if you get a substantial discount, even on just one booking, it may well be worth the price of the Prime subscription.

Since the annual membership is £59.99, you only need to make one booking a year with a discount of over £60 for your Opodo Prime subscription to become worth it. And since it can be used on bookings of up to 10 people, a couple could split the cost of a membership for just £30 each and get some great discounts on their travels.

Let’s take a look at the potential savings to see how quickly that membership can pay for itself…

The exact amount you’ll save depends on the booking, and the total price. I’ve borrowed this table from Opodo to show what they say are the average savings. As you can see, a couple of flight bookings per year will make the Prime membership worth it

However, those are just the averages – it’s not the exact amount you’ll save each time. When I did a search for weekend flights to Barcelona , for example, the Prime discount was £29 per person (see screengrab below).

Screenshot of Opodo Prime flight deal discount

The best discount I was able to find in a bit of quick research was £68pp on £600 return flights to Mexico City, or £50 on £400 returns to Cancun .

It depends on dates, and when you’re browsing for flights, and probably a host of other factors too.

But if you book a couple of flights a year, with £10 or more discount per flight, and also get up to 50% off your hotel bookings… an Opodo Prime membership could well be worth it!

Opodo Prime Free Trial

As mentioned above, your Opodo Prime subscription includes a free trial for the first 30 days. You can cancel any time during those first 30 days and won’t be charged a penny.

How do I Cancel?

If you decide Opodo Prime isn’t for you, you are able to cancel any time during the 30-day free trial. You simply log in and go to “My Prime Account” on their website, then follow the instructions to cancel. Make sure you do so before the free trial is up, otherwise you will be charged the annual fee of £59.99.

What happens if you make a discounted booking during the free trial, then cancel?

A few people asked this in the comments, so I reached out to Opodo for clarification. This was their reply:

“Yes, if you book a discounted flight while on the free Prime membership trial and then cancel before the trial renews, you still get the discount on the flight but the free trial can only be enjoyed once”

There’s one more benefit to being an Opodo Prime member – Prime Day!

Opodo Prime Day is a bi-annual travel deal event  delivering a few days of exceptional discounts on flights, hotels, vacation packages (flight+hotel) and car rentals.

The event runs for a few days twice a year (in 2021 it ran in June and October), with special limited-time deals JUST for Prime members. Some of the world’s top airlines take part, including Etihad, EasyJet, Lufthansa, Turkish airlines, Airfrance, and KLM, offering hefty discounts on top of the usual Prime savings. Sort of like a Black Friday event that only a few people are invited to!

I hope you’ve found this post about what Opodo Prime is useful, and have a clearer idea of whether or not the subscription is worth it for you!

My advice would be to sign up for the free trial next time you’re booking flights, in order to access that initial saving.

Once you’re a member you’ll also be able to check out the hotel and car rental discounts. If you feel like the Prime membership is going to save you money on future travels, stick with it and pay the annual subscription fee. If not, cancel before the 30 days are up and there’s no harm done!

And be sure to let me know how much you save – I always love hearing about travel bargains! Scroll down to leave a comment.

Hello. If you book flights then cancel the Prime membership before the end of the free trial, do you know if you still get the airfare at the Prime price, or do they adjust the flight charges if you cancel the membership? Thank you.

Hi Nicole. I am pretty certain you still get the Prime price even if you cancel the free membership – but I would double-check that with Opodo just to be on the safe side!

Hi Nicole, I am in a similar situation, did you manage to get an answer about your question? I tried using the Help Centre, but this robot could not understand my “long” question… :S

Hae yu tried reaching out to the company on Twitter/Facebook? Companies are usually pretty good at responding on there. But reading through their T&C’s it suggests that the discounts will still stand even if you cancel: https://www.opodo.co.uk/prime/terms-and-conditions/

I would love to know the answer to this question, I’d you cancel if you still get the discount? Thank u

I’ve reached out to Opodo for clarification so I’ll let everyone know (and update the post) if I get an answer :)

I hate being charged by opodo prime without prior notice especially if they retain your credit card information.

That’s a pain – I always recommend setting a reminder to cancel a free trial. They tell you when you sign up that they will autorenew the trial so it’s a good idea to remind yourself.

I emailed Opodo for clarification and this was their response: “Yes, if you book a discounted flight while on the free Prime membership trial and then cancel before the trial renews, you still get the discount on the flight but the free trial can only be enjoyed once”

If you read their comments when cancelling it states that you will lose all of your benefits from your discounted booking booked during the 30 day free period.

Does it really? I emailed them about it and received the following reply:

But that was on 4th May 2022, it’s possible things have changed.

I saved £69 on flights to Geneva & back using the opodo prime free trial. I phoned to cancel the free trial because I needed to be sure that by doing so, I wouldn’t lose the discount already used. The man I spoke to spent 20 minutes trying to persuade me not to cancel. He dodged all my questions & would make a good politician. 😀 The call was exhausting & I advise anyone cancelling to do it online.

Thanks so much for commenting Linda – that’s a helpful tip. I’ve had similar experiences trying to cancel other services ont he phoen – you almost have to be rude to get what you want, it’s definitely exhausting!!

Did you still get your discount dispite cancelling? Opodo have assured me that you do, but it’s always good to get a first-hand account :)

ah, thank you for this clarification. I guess you get more hits with answering this question as we are in same position, after booking tickets using the Free Prime trial, guess many people in same boat

You’re very welcome – I was glad to be able to get a firm answer as I know it’s not clear in the T&Cs!

how do I cancel this. I don’t want it and want my money refunded now. regards violet fullerton

Hi Violet. I have a section on how to cancel in the post above. But unfortunately, I can’t help you cancel or get you a refund – I don’t work for Opodo and am not affiliated with them in any way. I’m an independent writer and this was a review! Try contacting Opodo via their website and hopefully they can help. Emily :)

The question which is not answered, if I buy a discounted ticket 3 months in advance and then for any reason I decided to cancel the membership within the 30 days i.e before my first flight , what would happen to my booking?

All I can tell you is the answer I received from Opodo, which is this:

“Yes, if you book a discounted flight while on the free Prime membership trial and then cancel before the trial renews, you still get the discount on the flight but the free trial can only be enjoyed once”

To me, that sounds as if the discount will still apply on any flights booked during the free trial, regardless of when the flight is booked for. However, I would recommend speaking to Opodo directly to confirm this. Try reaching out to them on social media?

Beware and be very careful !!! Opodo tried to charge me the £59.99 membership in November 9 months after I cancelled the membership during the free trial. The bank have refunded this but it was just luck that I noticed. Trying to speak to Opodo prime is impossible. Can’t if you are not a member but can if u have a booking ref found my ref but the phone automatically closed the call as this was for a expired booking. I want to find address to send a formal compliant. My advice is AVOiD AVOID AVOID !!

Oh dear, that sounds like a nightmare. Did you get an email confirmation that the trial was cancelled? I had a similar problem with Amazon Prime once and it turned out I hadn’t actually finished the cancellation process :( I know that you can contact Opodo via Facebook and Twitter direct message, so if you have an account on either of those you can reach out there to speak to someone real.

Alternatively, I did a google search and found this listed as the address for written formal complaints: Opodo Ltd, 26-28 Hammersmith Grove, London, W6 7BA

Not sure if that’s definitely the correct address but worth a try.

This is a useless membership. Opodo Prime flight prices are same or little costlier than what you can get if you shop around – even with minimal effort.

Thanks for the input Rajat – always good to get a range of opinions :)

Just signed up for Opodo Prime after reading your positive review, but will cancel ASAP after checking Opodo’s ratings from their existing customers. They score 1.0 or 1.1 in average out of 5!! That’s unheard of. I did some more checking and it seems that the both the Opodo company and Prime membership are most commonly described as SCAM, STAY AWAY! You don’t check these things before entering a collaboration? I noticed your review basically used the same text as their own marketing. I may be wrong, but I wonder how that is perceived if you want to be regarded as independent, expressing your own thoughts?

Hi Markus, thanks so much for commenting and raising these concerns. This is more of a “what is it” post than a review. I wrote it at the start of 2022* after trailling the service for 30 days. Those are real screenshots of real discounts I found while I was trialling Opodo Prime. I’ve also genuinely used Opodo before to book a flight and had no problems at all. When I worked on this post, the ratings were not 1 out of 5. In fact, I just had another look at Trustpilot and Opodo’s rating is currently 4.1 out of 5. There are some low reviews too but a lot of them seem to be from people who forgot to cancel the free trial and were annoyed that they got charged. My advice would be to set a reminder to cancel the trial before it ends if you decide you don’t want to pay for a year of Prime membership.

Hope that helps clarify everything :)

*I’ve updated it since then with the latest prices so the “last updated” date at the top of the post is more recent.

I just wanted to say that I sought to cancel a flight to Edinburgh today that I had bought only hours previously as I realised there weren’t any trains home at the hour of my arrival. I spoke with the prime service on the phone and was told that I would receive 80% of my flight back, which was calculated at £42.49 on an £87 flight – clearly not correct (it should have been £69.60). I was told that if I preferred, I could cancel or find a new flight with easyJet (who would charge me £49 for the privilege). I had paid an additional payment – what I thought was was £11 but must have been £24 as my total payment was £111. So much for hassle-free cancellations (entire tickets only) with no fees or surcharges! Very disappointing. I’ve kept the flights and found a way home but I’m not impressed.

Oh no that’s so annoying, I’m sorry that happened to you. It sounds like they were giving you 80% of the flight fees but not the taxes maybe? Still really annoying for you though. To be fair, I think it’s the airlines that set those fees, rahter than Opodo – budget airlines are really bad for doing stuff like that. I made a similar mistake to you in the past and now I’ll only book when I’m 1000% sure that’s the flight for me!

You may be right but I’m entitled if to have taxes back if I can’t use a ticket. I think the problem is clarity – and I’m not sure that I can see much!

Rooftops view of Turin on a sunny winter day.

My four-day rail and ferry adventure from the UK to Albania

From London to Tirana, via Chambéry’s medieval streets, bustling Bari and Albania’s dynamic capital, this trip across Europe has treats at every turn

M y overriding memories of crossing countries by train, on a trip from London to Albania, are of half-empty carriages and countryside sweeping past windows bathed in the soft orange glow of sunset. I remember cypress trees, red-roofed villages with square churches, farmland in neat strips and row upon row of vineyards.

On my London-Paris-Chambéry-Turin-Bari-Tirana journey over land and sea, there was, for long stretches, little to do. The wifi was patchy. It took a while to adapt to having so much time to simply watch the world go by, travelling through landscapes without having to navigate them.

The biggest stress happened long before I set off, when a landslide not far from the French border with Italy blocked the rail line between Chambéry and Turin, forcing a closure that continues today. Byway, the no-fly operator I had booked with, offered to reroute me through Nice and on to Turin via the Vermenagna valley (with changes in Tende and Cuneo), or book me on the FlixBus service over part of the Mont Blanc massif. I was keen to see Chambéry and the Alps, so I chose the bus.

The writer leans out of the train door. She is wearing a long denim coat and sandals and looks excited.

People seemed surprised when I told them I was travelling overland to Albania. As I gushed about the romance of slow travel by train and sleeper ferry, and my excitement about Tirana, I got comments about being “brave”. I didn’t feel especially brave: all the planning, tickets and hotel bookings were done for me, and friendly help was a WhatsApp call away if needed.

I just had to download the Rail Planner app for my Interrail pass and make sure I was at the right station at the right time (Turin was the biggest challenge: it has four main railway stations and taxis scream between them bearing anxious-looking passengers).

The entire journey took four days. If I did it all again, I’d stay longer in Puglia, the heel of Italy’s boot – and remember to buy my Paris Métro ticket from the cafe on the Eurostar.

Day one: London to Chamb éry

A street with pale pink classical buildings and a statue on a plinth.

First to Paris’s Gare du Nord, then the metro to Gare de Lyon, where I make a beeline for a cafe opposite the station. Noise pervades the pavement tables of Café Terminus, but the cacophony is delightful – an atmospheric place for a citron pressé .

I’m in plenty of time for the train to Chambéry and, excitingly, am on the upper deck. Soon, we break free from the suburbs to trace huge stands of forest. Beyond Lyon begins a ripple of hills, lazy rivers and thickly forested slopes. As evening approaches, it’s all Alpine scenery. I arrive at an almost-empty station and walk to the boutique Hotel des Princes in Chambéry’s old town.

Chambéry has an Italian feel – it was the seat of the House of Savoy before the dynasty moved on to Turin – and its medieval alleys, cathedral and pastel-coloured townhouses are quietly impressive. The 1838 Fontaine des Éléphants sits in the middle of the closest square to the old town, and peeking from the end of every street are the Bauges and Chartreuse mountain ranges. My stay is peaceful and easy.

Day two: Chamb éry to Turin

Misty blue mountain silhouettes.

From Chambéry, the train to Turin would take about 2½ hours, but the bus takes double this. I’m on the top deck again, which is worth it for the sight of misty fingers of early morning light breaking across the mountain ridge. Snoozing backpackers rouse themselves to snap pictures of remote Mont Blanc peaks, before slumbering once more through the tunnel to Italy. In Turin there’s perfume in the air from the blossom-covered trees.

Turin’s grid of long, straight boulevards is testament to its development by the Romans – the redbrick Palatine Gate is another Roman relic – and its grand piazzas, royal palaces and graffitied colonnades date from the city’s Savoy heyday in the 16th and 17th centuries. Today, the number one attraction is the Museo Egizio (Egyptian Museum).

My favourite moments? Ricotta and fig ice-cream on Piazza San Carlo, an aperitivo on off-the-beaten-path Via Sant’Agostino and the towering neoclassical Mole Antonelliana (national museum of cinema). I eat Turin’s famous doughy pizza al padellino (pan pizza) and spend a comfortable night in the eaves of Hotel Urbani in 19th-century residential streets close to the grand Porta Nuova train station.

after newsletter promotion

Day three: Turin to Bari

A rolling mountain range with cumulus clouds in the sky.

The views from my next train are of cinematic Tuscan scenes. Scorched fields, vines and Italian cypress trees. Neat red roofs and shabby-chic farmhouses. Fluffy clouds cling to hills that Google Maps tells me are the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. After hours of soothing golden landscapes, the opal-blue Adriatic wallops into view just north of Ancona. Beach bars whip by and cypress trees are replaced with palm trees: I’ve arrived in the south of Italy.

Bari is hands down my favourite stop. The noise, heat and energy as we step off the train in the early evening are joyous. After Chambéry and Turin, Bari feels brash, a little rough around the edges even; a proper port city. The labyrinthine alleyways of the whitewashed old town are almost cliched in their cuteness. Despite the troupes of tightly packed headphone-wearing Americans following guided tours, it somehow manages to retain a tranquil atmosphere.

An elegant old building presides over the port, with its little fishing boats, on a sunny day.

Old ladies yawn from the shade as tourists surreptitiously snap pictures and laundry flutters from balconies. I could stay for ever, but after 24 hours (which includes a lot of pasta, a stroll along the posh promenade to the not-so-posh city beach and a night in an elegant aparthotel, Residence Zodiacus , halfway between the station and the old town), it’s time to board the night ferry to Albania.

Day (and night) four: Bari to Tirana

The mosque is lit in evening sunlight, with mountains in the background.

I arrive at the ferry on foot and am escorted through the car deck to jokes about going in the wrong direction (to Albania, instead of from it). In the early morning I spot a pink sky through the cracked window of my comfy en suite cabin, and head to the top deck to see the sun rise over the distant outline of Albania. Disembarking in the port of Durrës is a bit of a scrum and there’s a bus to the capital waiting, but I opt instead for a five-minute taxi ride to the centre of town and breakfast of pastries and espresso on a dazzling white road lined with boutiques and palm trees. I later regret this though, as the aircon on the grubby public bus I eventually take to Tirana is more tired than I am, and drops me in an urban sprawl miles from the centre.

Tirana itself is a revelation. My hotel, Padam Boutique , is a grand villa with handsome rooms and floor-to-ceiling windows, and there’s striking new skyward architecture on every nearby street. A short stroll away is the landmark Pyramid of Tirana , which stands as a symbol and monument to change (and is fun to climb at sunset). Skanderbeg Square – a jumble of buildings erected on a roundabout at the time of the celebrations to mark the fall of communism in 1992 – is now a pedestrianised, glossy public space. There are nods to Albania’s recent, wretched history behind the iron curtain, of course – the Bunk’Art and Bunk’Art 2 museums, in nuclear bunkers are unmissable – but Tirana and the country are more than just the last century. My journey is done, but it feels like Tirana is just getting into its stride.

The trip was provided by Byway , which offers sustainable travel and accommodation packages across the UK and Europe. Its Alps to Albania trip costs from £679pp

Max Thieriot Likes to Watch Things Grow, Including Himself

The “Fire Country” star talks about the road trips, the farm equipment and the family time that keep him grounded.

  • Share full article

A black-and-white photo of Max Thieriot against a blue and yellow background.

By Kathryn Shattuck

For Max Thieriot, one of the creators and the star of the CBS series “ Fire Country ,” all roads lead back to his roots.

He was raised on a vineyard off the coast of Sonoma in Northern California. And for a while, he lived nearby on 90 acres of his own with his wife and two sons.

But “Fire Country” — about prison inmates joining elite firefighters to battle the region’s blazes in exchange for shorter sentences — shoots near Vancouver, British Columbia. So Thieriot, 35, moved his family to rural Washington, where his kids could continue to run around with the chickens and the goats.

“I wanted to try and keep the same lifestyle for my wife and my boys, and not to totally upend their world,” he said.

Alas, Thieriot still has wine in his blood.

About 14 years ago, he and a couple of childhood friends started their own vineyard. The big lesson?

“It’s much faster to do, and makes a lot more sense, when you have an entire crew,” he admitted before discussing the tractors, the road trips and the grapevines that keep him grounded.

These are edited excerpts from the conversation.

I consider my closest friends my family, but certainly at the center of my universe is my wife and my boys. I can have an exhausting day and no matter what, when I come home and I get to see my wife and I get to see my kids, it makes all of the other stuff go away.

The Ruby Mountains in Nevada

Mount Jefferson is almost 12,000 feet and there’s this insane plateau on the top of it, this huge meadow mesa, and in the summertime it’s filled with bighorn sheep. There’s a lot of Native American artifacts up there. You can see these rock outcroppings where they would have their hunting camps and their tents. You can imagine what it was like 1,000 years ago to be sitting in that place.

Digging in the Dirt

Growing up on a vineyard, one of my favorite things to do was to ride on the tractor with my dad. So as soon as we bought our Sonoma place, I went out and purchased a couple of tractors. I got a Kubota Skid Steer because there was a lot of cleaning-up work to do. Then I got a vineyard tractor, a narrow New Holland. And up here I’ve got a utility tractor. The boys love being able to dig holes and have a bucket and all the fun attachments that I can put on it.

As soon as I had children, I suddenly became a terrible flyer. So when Covid happened, we started driving everywhere. We call it the Thieriot Family Adventures. Frankly, when you’ve got a 6- and an 8-year-old who can be best friends one moment and then going at it the next, when we’re contained in our car, our wild, crazy family stuff is just our stuff. We don’t have to share it with everybody in the airport.

My family’s been in San Francisco for something like six generations now. I have a Joe Montana jersey, signed, that my dad got me when I was a kid. My boys have grown to love the sport as well. They both play flag football. I’m not quite ready for them to start tackling.

Storytelling

I never felt that confident in my writing because English was not my strongest class. I didn’t have the same vocabulary as a lot of writers. But I eventually realized that I didn’t need to as long as I could make someone feel something.

Working Out

I was always a skinny kid, and I wanted to gain muscle. As soon as I became dedicated enough to it, and just through perseverance, I started to see this change. I realized, OK, if you really commit yourself to something, you can achieve pretty amazing things.

Farm to Table

We had a guy named Ulises Valdez who was one of our vineyard managers, and he said to me, “Max, when you work hard, the food tastes a lot better.” And that stuck with me. I feel like when I’m raising a beef cow, I’m watching the animal grow. I know what I’m feeding it. I have an appreciation for its life, where this meat has come from.

I think about music as I’m directing. What’s the tempo of the scene? And if I can imagine a song right now, what is the song that’s playing here and how is it motivating whatever the audience is supposed to be feeling at this point?

Lifelong Friends

I grew up in a small town where a lot of my friends I’ve known since childhood. I think it has kept me grounded in a way. It’s brought me back to my roots, brought me back to the people that know me for me and who I really am at my core and not the actor that they see on TV.

Does anyone have any advice for contacting Opodo?

All help centres and numbers ask for the booking reference, which obviously I don’t have.

Contacted easyJet and they can’t see a booking.

Really appreciate if anyone has any advice. Thanks

We have 100+ threads here about Opodo, for a reason.

Reason is, they stink. Pretty much ALL the "cheapo" ticket sellers stink. And they stay cheap with many tricks, one of which is they don't have contact info., If you can't fix something thru your login there you are pretty much out of luck

How long ago did you book? Is the money GONE from your credit card? Or is there a HOLD on the funds?

When is the travel?

What research did you do before you chose them? They've been a terrible company for a very long time

Tripadvisor staff removed this post at the original author's request.

my trips opodo

The key pieces of information ate

how long ago you made your booking request (you didn’t actually book anything, just asked them if they would make a booking for you)

Has a charge actually been processed by them or is it just a hold

If it has been several days and tge charge has actually been processed, then dispute it

Next time book direct with the airline

When you login to your account on Opodo, can you find your booking in Manage My Booking? Could be your booking confirmation has gone into spam/junk or you've mistyped your email address. I'd check these things before going into panic mode.

my trips opodo

"you've mistyped your email address"

Yes, they've mistyped it into a booking request form for the wretched Opodo!

How long ago was the booking? Did you get an error during the process or did it seem to complete as normal? Unfortunately, some third party ticket sellers like Opodo don't have completely live pricing, so you may book, and then sometime later get a notification that the price for what you want has changed.

#6. Correct. You’d be surprised how many stupid mistakes are made when booking. Never made a typo? Good for you.

@ fru_sorteravn . Is there any need to say that in response to what I take to be a response to GinJimAtlanta's comment in Post 7?

Over the years I have been active on TA it has amazed me just how careless people are sometimes often when they are spending £££s and who then get cross because the company at the other end do not communicate with them as expected.
