• Falls of Dominica & Sulphur Springs (Roseau, Dominica) Focus on the springs and falls of Roseau in this exciting excursion. You’ll pass plantations and vibrant flowers on the way, before you arrive at the Twin Falls (and can even take a dip in the waters). Then you’ll arrive at the bubbling hot springs before heading to Trafalgar Falls for another waterfall experience.  

• Sky Safari Zipline (Basseterre, St. Kitts) Soar through the canopy as you feel the jungle breeze fly past your face and see the incredible views along the way. The experience is unparalleled, and afterwards you’ll be able to walk the ruins of Wingfield Estate and shop at Caribelle Batik before heading back to the ship.  

• Deep Sea Fishing (Castries, St. Lucia) Cruise off the coast of St. Lucia to a quiet spot where many fish congregate for a chance to reel in a dorado, yellow fin tuna or marlin on a deep sea fishing adventure. This is also a great spot to look out for dolphins and whales.  

• Flavors of Jamaica (Ochos Rios, Jamaica) Explore a beautiful Jamaican garden with herbs and tropical plants. These include Cat Whiskers and Plumbago. Afterwards you’ll visit the St. James Rum Distillery for some samples and to learn about sugar cane and how it has been processed and distilled in Martinique since 1765.  

• Miami City Tour and Shopping at Aventura Mall (Miami, Florida) Drive through neighborhoods of the rich and famous, like Rosie O’Donnell and Gloria Estefan, before visiting the art deco drag of South Beach. You’ll visit Coral Gables, the Biltmore Hotel and the University of Miami. Then get some goods at the Aventura Mall.

More ships cruise the Caribbean islands than any other region in the world, and Caribbean cruises treat vacationers to crystal-clear waters, pristine beaches, abundant water sports and duty-free shopping. Caribbean cruises are divided into three regions: Western Caribbean cruises, Southern Caribbean cruises and Eastern Caribbean cruises.

Western Caribbean cruises can take you to see Mayan ruins on Mexico's Yucatan coast, snorkeling in the barrier reef off the coast of Belize or to Grand Cayman's Seven Mile Beach. Southern Caribbean cruises can take you to the beautiful beaches of Aruba, the rain forest of Martinique or the beautiful beaches of Barbados. Eastern Caribbean cruises may call on ports in the Bahamas, San Juan, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Turks and Caicos.

Because so many people cruise the Caribbean islands, you'll find the most competitive pricing and the best per-diem rates on a Caribbean cruise. This is especially true in the fall -- just before the start of the peak Caribbean cruise season -- when ships return to the Caribbean from Alaska and Europe.

Hurricane season runs from June 1 through November 30, but with the sophisticated radar and weather-tracking systems found on larger Caribbean cruise ships today, there is little cause for concern. Ships can easily change course to avoid storms and will substitute alternate Caribbean cruise ports as necessary.
