Based on the review here, we booked on the Sonesta Moon Goddess March, 2023. We were disappointed. The rooms were indeed classic and comfortable. The carpets in the hall were old and stained. The HVAC systems in the room did not work properly despite engineering’s best efforts. Hot water was often hard to come by. The most disappointing element was the food. This was served buffet style, and almost never maintained hot. It was as if I had returned to my high school cafeteria. The staff were attentive and tried to please.

Egypt & Jordan Discovered By Nile Cruise (5 & 4 Star Hotels)

In general, I was really happy with this tour. Everything we saw was terrific and impressive. The hotels were really good. Our first tour guide was OK, friendly enough, but didn't seem really tuned in or passionate about what he was explaining to us. He tended to enjoy the younger people on the tour more. The guide during the Nile cruise was great, super knowledgeable and super in to us and what he was telling us. Our guide in Jordan was also super knowledgeable and informative. An extra cost tour that was a total waste of money was the star night at Wadi Rum. It was way over crowded with badly behaved children. There were too many people and not enough help to make sure we saw anything through the telescopes. When we sat in a circle within an enclosed area for further star information, we were sat with our backs to the wall and what we were supposed to view. The young woman who was speaking didn't seem to know what she was talking about or doing and kept on saying "Don't judge me." The other workers just let her babble on. The overnight trains were a little primitive but interesting to experience. The trip was strenuous and it was very hot. I am older and it was hard work, but I was warned and chose to do it anyhow. Overall, it was a very good experience!!!

Ayman, our guide in Cairo and Alexandria explained us everything in great detail, happily answering our questions but also making a lot of fun and giving us plenty of useful tips about our newly started journey. At the last moment we had to find a Spanish speaking guide for the Nile cruise and Vacations to go arranged it for us at the moment. Our 3 days stay in Sharm’s Savoy was exactly what we needed to rest a bit before going to Jordan, where Mahmoud took care of us and, once more, everything went smoothly. If we are lucky enough to go back to that part of the world we won’t hesitate to book with them again and highly recommend Vacations to go travel to anyone considering traveling there. The trip with Vacations to go travel was very interesting. It was inexpensive and we got a private tour guide in all of the cities we went to (Cairo, Aswan, Luxor, and Petra) and all of our transportation and hotels were already taken care of. The tour guides were flexible with what we wanted to do, had good senses of humors, and excellent English skills. And it was nice when things got iffy at the Israel border, that our guide took care of everything.

This tour was by far the best thing we’ve ever done. Our friends and family were definitely apprehensive of us coming to Egypt and Jordan but we never felt unsafe once. The professionalism of On the Go is top notch. All of our airport transfers, hotel check ins, bus picks ups were effortless. MoMo our guide was beyond fabulous. He went above and beyond what he had to do and truly made our tour something we’ll never forget. He ran our tour like a well oiled machine, always a step ahead of us ensuring everything happened seemlessly. His knowledge of the different sites we visited was also amazing. Standing at the base of the pyramids on Christmas Day is something I’m never going to be able to beat. If you want the tour of a lifetime, then this is for you. So much jam packed into one trip and so damn worth it. We made friends for life on our tour and we’ll definitely be doing another On the Go tour. MoMo we love you!!!

We had really enjoyed this history, sensory overload of wonderful Egypt. Our tour guide “Tiger” was very organised, extremely knowledgeable and made us feel safe at all times. He was constantly checking with us to see if we required any further information, great areas to view the magnificent sights of Egypt. I have rated this tour “Good”, this is no reflection of “Tiger” he was Excellent. The rating of good is due to the river cruise where the ship was not ready for tour due to “refurbishing” which was not completed when we boarded. We will say that the staff on board were very attentive to our needs - the meals were so flavourful. We would recommend this tour. Thank you ?

Tour was well organized! The guide for the Egypt portion was very experienced The guide for Jordan was just ok. There were many occasions when he could be more organized. He didn’t explain what to expect what the plans were for the next day. Much confusion resulted from that. Many things look disorganized The boat cruise was terrible. Frequent problems with steady water supply , Not one day was without problems. The boat was not well maintained. The highlights of the tour were the pyramids, Abu Simbel. The hot air ballooning was a highlight despite reservations from the tour organizers

In general, I was really happy with this tour. Everything we saw was terrific and impressive. The hotels were really good. Our first tour guide was OK, friendly enough, but didn't seem really tuned in or passionate about what he was explaining to us. He tended to enjoy the younger people on the tour more. The guide during the Nile cruise was great, super knowledgeable and super in to us and what he was telling us. Our guide in Jordan was also super knowledgeable and informative. An extra cost tour that was a total waste of money was the star night at Wadi Rum. It was way over crowded with badly behaved children. There were too many people and not enough help to make sure we saw anything through the telescopes. When we sat in a circle within an enclosed area for further star information, we were sat with our backs to the wall and what we were supposed to view. The young woman who was speaking didn't seem to know what she was talking about or doing and kept on saying "Don't judge me." The other workers just let her babble on. The overnight trains were a little primitive but interesting to experience. The trip was strenuous and it was very hot. I am older and it was hard work, but I was warned and chose to do it anyhow. Overall, it was a very good experience!!!
