The vision of the future of Star Trek is one of cooperation between governments and species of different beliefs, homeworlds, and upbringings. That cooperation evolves in the world of Star Trek Online with the Khitomer Alliance – the first formal exploration and defense cooperation pact between the Federation, the Klingon Empire, the Romulan Republic, and the Dominion. The Alliance was formalized for defense, against the Iconians and then the Hur'q, but the hope for all involved is that it will lead to lasting peace.

To celebrate this, and as a thank you for spending your time with us during this long quarantine, Star Trek Online is giving away the formal uniform of the Khitomer Alliance and a brand new vanity shield, to deck your ships in their colors. We hope this allows the players that wish to be a part of the Alliance to feel more like their characters are a part of this brand new movement in the Final Frontier.

The package containing this uniform and vanity shield are in the Uniforms Tab of the C-store, on PC until June 16th. Once you've claimed that package, you can claim the vanity shield in the Promotions tab. They will be coming to Console at a later date. Enjoy, Captains, and we'll see you out there.

Earn A New Khitomer Alliance Ship In Star Trek Online’s The King And Collective Event

The grand prize is the alliance rex pilot escort..

Star Trek Online is celebrating its anniversary the only way the Star Trek universe can – with a Borg event. In this case, players will be taking on different stories in the form of the MMORPG 's episodes, TFOs, and a minigame in order to earn points toward the Alliance Rex Pilot Escort prize.

To earn 40 daily progress points , players will need to do the episode “Taken by Surprise”, the space TFO “Guillotine”, and the “Omega Particle Stabilization” minigame. There’s also a new episode “Scorpion’s Aybss” and a new TFO “Battle of Wolf 359” that will go toward earning more points.

Once players have the 40 daily progress, they’ll be able to claim the ship. Any points earned after that will earn players Dilithium Ore. The Dilithium reward scales, beginning with a lump sum of 8,000. Every day players can add 1,000 to their daily total up to a cap of 50,000 per day.

Khitomer Alliance

The Khitomer Alliance, formerly the Alpha Quadrant Alliance , was an interstellar alliance based in Local Space across the borders of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants , whose influence reached the Delta Quadrant thanks to Iconian gateway technology. The primary goal of the Khitomer Alliance was to defend the galaxy from various conquerors from within and without. ( STO video game : Delta Rising )

The Alliance was formalized in the Jenolan Accord early in 2410 . ( STO - The Iconian War mission : " A Step Between Stars ")

By the beginning of 2411 , this alliance was renamed Khitomer Alliance, after the Khitomer Accords . ( STO video game : Legacy )

History [ ]

The groundwork for the Alliance was laid gradually over the course of the year 2409 . The Federation and the Klingon Empire were embroiled in the Federation-Klingon War of 2405-2410 but emerging threats forced them to agree to cease-fires in various sector blocks to avoid being defeated after weakening one another. ( STO - Cardassian Struggle mission : " Second Wave ")

When the Romulan Republic colonized New Romulus , the nascent state was recognized by the Federation and by the Klingons . Despite the state of war between the two powers, the Republic was allied to both of them. In its territory, the Tau Dewa sector block , a cease-fire between Starfleet and the KDF was in effect. ( STO - From the Ashes missions : " Turning Point ", " Neutral No More ")

When the Deferi came under attack from Breen Confederacy forces led by Thot Trel , Ambassador Surah sought the help of the Federation, the Klingons and the newly-founded Romulan Republic . Although the thee forces did not cooperate directly with one another, their common efforts led to the defeat of Trel and the reawakening of the Preservers on Lae'nas III . Since the Breen invasion, a cease-fire was in effect in the Orellius sector block . ( STO - Breen Invasion missions : " Cold Call ", " Cold Storage ") The three powers remained in Deferi space to combat Breen slavers and fight back the Borg Collective 's invasion of Defera . ( STO video game : Star Trek Online )

The three powers drove the Orion Syndicate , the Tal Shiar and the Elachi from Nimbus III . ( STO episode : " Wasteland ")

Admiral D'Vak , son of Alexander Rozhenko , established Task Force Omega , a joint Federation-Klingon task force to combat the Borg , who had invaded the Gamma Orionis sector block . Subsequently, the two nations worked grudgingly together and a cease-fire was put in effect in the region. The Romulan Republic participated in the efforts as well. ( STO - Borg Advance mission : " Report to Gamma Orionis ") Task Force Omega's efforts expanded to help fight back the Undine invading the Pelia sector , and Rear Admiral Tuvok organized a reconnaissance mission into Fluidic Space . ( STO - Borg Advance mission : " Fluid Dynamics ")

Finally, a diplomatic summit convened at Deep Space 9 to formalize efforts to combat the Borg. The conference was interrupted by a time-displaced Dominion fleet led by First Kar'ukan and Loriss the Vorta . The Allies worked together to repel the Beta Jem'Hadar and reclaim DS9 with the help of the Dominion leadership. ( STO - Cardassian Struggle missions : " Second Wave ", " Boldly They Rode ")

Formation [ ]

The discovery and subsequent exploration of the Solanae Dyson Sphere led to the first formal alliance between the UFP, Klingon Empire and the Romulan Republic. The Romulans spearheaded the war effort against the Voth . The alliance was governed by Dyson Joint Command . Voth Separatists joined the Allies. The Voth government called the Allies derogatorily "mammals". ( STO - Solanae Dyson Sphere missions : " Sphere of Influence ", " Circles within Circles ")

When the Undine launched a massive assault on the Allies and another Iconian gateway opened to the wayward Jenolan Dyson Sphere , Fleet Admiral Jorel Quinn and Klingon Chancellor J'mpok agreed to the terms of the Jenolan Accords laid out by Admiral Tuvok, ending the war between the Federation and the Empire. ( STO - Solanae Dyson Sphere mission : " Surface Tension ")

Expansion [ ]

Alliance sectors by 2410 .

Delta Alliance Command was established to oversee Allied operations in the Delta Quadrant . Alpha Quadrant Alliance became the name of the new interstellar alliance. The Alliance sought to retrace the journey of USS Voyager and to combat the Borg on their home turf. Subsequently, the Alliance faced the Vaadwaur Supremacy , which sought to conquer the entire Delta Quadrant, and their puppet masters, the Bluegills . The Alliance allied with the Talaxians , Kobali and the Borg Cooperative , spurring the establishment of the Delta Alliance . ( STO video game : Delta Rising )

Following the Iconian War of 2410 , the Alliance made first contact with the Lukari species who had been relatively isolated in their adopted home system for centuries. The Lukari eventually joined the Alliance after defeating a Tholian plot to destroy their sun, and after significant technological exchange programs resulted in the Lukari leaving their home system. ( STO - New Frontiers mission : " Echoes of Light ")

Shortly afterwards, a separate sect of the Lukari's species, the Kentari Union was discovered in the Gon'Cra Nebula. ( STO - New Frontiers mission : " Mirrors and Smoke ") After a tense first contact situation, the Alliance helped the two factions jointly settle the Dranuur System . The newly formed colony fell under attack by the Tzenkethi who were attacking the colony in pursuit of germanium crystals which turned out to be eggs of a species they called the " Dranztuli ." Eventually the attack was repelled and both the Lukari Concordium and the Kentari Union joined the Alliance.

Shortly afterwards, it was revealed that the Dranztuli, had in fact been caretakers of the long lost Hurq civilization, who were awakening from hibernation to "devour" the galaxy. During a Hurq attack on Deep Space Nine, the Dominion arrived to assist the Alliance, with a request for aid to deal with the Hurq threat in the Gamma Quadrant . ( STO - New Frontiers mission : " Scylla and Charybdis ") The Federation and the Romulan Republic agreed to assist, while the Klingon Empire largely sent a token volunteer force and remained on the sidelines. ( STO - Gamma Quadrant mission : " Storm Clouds Gather ") Following the Hurq conflict, Odo , now the leader of the Founders agreed to have the Dominion join the Alliance on the condition that the Jem'Hadar be freed of their addiction to Ketracel White . ( STO - Gamma Quadrant mission : " Home ")

In early 2411, the Alliance had created their headquarters on the planet Khitomer and had launched its first Alliance Joint Ship, the AFS Khitomer , under the command of Captain Kagran of the Klingon Defense Force. At this time, the Alliance was in open conflict with the temporally displaced J'Ula of House Mo'Kai who had arrived in the 25th Century a few years prior. J'Ula used an obscure Klingon law to reinstate her house and hold a conference with the High Council of the Klingon Empire. During which, J'Ula questioned Chancellor J'mpok's claim to the Chancellery, citing that with Martok still living, the Chancellor had stolen the position, and soon the conference fell to violence with several Great Houses joining House Mo'Kai in the fighting, resulting in a new Klingon Civil War. Immediately the civil war spilled into other members of the Alliance's territories, including the destruction of a Federation Starbase and an attack on a Romulan mining base by Elachi forces after J'ula opened a mycelial rift near it. J'Ula's command ship, the IKS Lukara , would fire on the planet Qu'Vat, destroying Qu'Vat City with its Mycelial Weapon . ( STO - House Divided mission : " The Centre Cannot Hold ")

The Alliance Chairman , a Ferasan named Ksenneta , had secretly allied with J'Ula, viewing J'mpok as a problematic leader, hoping that J'Ula's rebellion would quickly dispose of the Chancellor with minimal bloodshed. When this did not happen, Ksenneta allowed J'Ula to seek refuge on Khitomer in the same halls the Alliance were using as their headquarters and had only two years prior been site of the conference that recognized the existence of the Romulan Republic.

When an Alliance Captain and General Martok arrived searching for J'Ula, they found themselves stonewalled by the Alliance politicians. Eventually they found J'Ula, and her right hand, Aakar . During the struggle, Aakar betrayed J'Ula, trapping her with the Alliance members and beamed aboard the Lukara and proceeded to give the Mycelial Weapon to Chancellor J'mpok, who fired it at the Alliance HQ on Khitomer. However, before J'mpok fired the weapon, he had sent Captain Ja'Rod of the House of Duras and a legion of his troops to massacre the Alliance members on the planet to ensure no witnesses and the elimination of two of his rivals he had personally sent to the location. Ultimately, the Alliance Captain, J'Ula, Martok, and a handful of others managed to survive and escape, but not before being declared traitors to the Alliance and going into hiding. The loss of the Alliance Headquarters and many members of its staff including Ambassador Surah of Defera and Rugan Skyl of Cardassia was a heavy blow to the organization. Later history [ ]

By the 28th century , the Romulan Republic and the Klingon Empire were part of the Federation and the Khitomer Alliance had been succeeded by the Galactic Union .
