Tour Edge Bazooka 370 vs. 470

The Tour Edge Bazooka golf club sets are different from other sets that seem to only cater to beginners. In particular, it may be worth discussing what the 370 and 470 sets can offer more experienced golfers.

The Tour Edge Bazooka 370 set is cheaper than the 470 set. The 370 set also features a higher launch, a putter with alignment help, and very thin club faces. The 470 set is more expensive but gives players more forgiveness and weight in the club heads.

Let’s break down these differences in more detail to help you find the best set for you.

Tour Edge Bazooka 370 vs. 470: Similarities and Differences

Both these golf sets can suit different experience levels from beginners to intermediate players. This makes them a standout choice among golf club sets made for only beginners.

Bazooka 370

The Tour Edge Bazooka 370 set comes with a lot of benefits for new and experienced golfers alike. To start, this set is cheaper than the Bazooka 470 without sacrificing quality .

You can expect the faces of the 370 clubs to be thinner than the 470. This thinness creates a great reaction to the ball being hit. As the ball meets the thin face, it will propel forward similar to how low-compression golf balls propel themselves forward due to the compression. If you want more distance, this is the set for you.

The Bazooka 370 set will also give you a lot of launch compared to the 470 set. Additionally, the putter in this set has an alignment line to help you better line up your putts. So, if you struggle to putt accurately, this set can help you better line up your putts and get those three-putts down.

Bazooka 470

The Bazooka 470 set gives players more forgiveness than the 370 but doesn’t give as much distance or launch. Forgiveness can help beginners and intermediate players. Some of the best golfers still struggle with consistency, and forgiveness gives you the ability to swing imperfectly while still hitting straight shots.

The putter in this set also allows for a ton of forgiveness as it has a high moment of inertia (MOI). The MOI measures the ability of the putter to produce straight putts even with off-center putts. With the 370 putter, you have an alignment line. This putter instead lets you be a little off with your shot without losing direction.

Altogether, this club is great for many different skill levels, but it offers a ton of forgiveness in every club. If you’re comfortable with distance and launch but need some help hitting straight, this set is exactly what you need.

Final Thoughts

If you need a cheaper option with improvements to distance and launch, the Bazooka 370 set is for you. On the other hand, the Bazooka 470 is better for those who need forgiveness in their clubs and don’t mind spending a little more to get it.

Comparing Tour Edge Bazooka 370 vs Tour Edge Bazooka 470

Tour Edge Bazooka 370 vs Bazooka 470 Header image

Looking to learn more about Tour Edge’s Bazooka 370 and Bazooka 470 club sets? You came to the right place. Tour Edge , a top-of-the-line golf brand, spent years designing clubs that would enhance forgiveness in your shots and maximize shot speeds all at the same time.

Their efforts didn’t stop there though. Tour Edge continues to place their customers at the top of priority, shown through their extensive club options set at affordable prices – including the Bazooka series.

If that sounds like what you’ve been hoping to find in a club set, take a peek at this breakdown that compares the Tour Edge Bazooka 370 and Bazooka 470 club sets.

What is a Tour Edge Bazooka club?

Like you’d expect from a club series named “bazooka,” this series was designed with the intention of providing faster launch speeds. At the same time though, it was also designed to add forgiveness in your shots. The Tour Edge Bazooka 370 series offers new shaped clubs and weight position to achieve this added forgiveness and speed boost. In short, weight is placed deeper in the heel of the clubs to lower the center of gravity and provide the added forgiveness, while ultra-thin club faces produce faster speeds and higher launch in shots.

The Tour Edge Bazooka 470 series takes things a step further. They designed advanced aerodynamic club shapes to lower the center of gravity once again. Doing so enhances the forgiveness in mishits and optimizing ability to hit nearly any shot on the course. It may sound too good to be true, but we promise, it's not.

What are the major differences and similarities of the Bazooka 370 and Bazooka 470 sets?

The two series of Tour Edge Hot Launch clubs we are reviewing are the Bazooka 370 and Bazooka 470 series. Both series come as full sets with advanced technology designed to add faster shot speeds and enhanced forgiveness to your game.

Both the Bazooka 370 and Bazooka 470 sets come with 12 clubs. However, the 370 set only has a #4 Hybrid, with #5 - #9 Irons, while the 470 set has a #4 and #5 Hybrid, with #6 - #9 Irons. If you always want the next best thing, the 470 set was designed with enhanced aerodynamic club shapes based on the 370 set. Tour Edge’s goal with this advancement is to continue benefitting golfers through a next-level design. Their mission is truly to progress their customers’ game.

The Bazooka 370 series is available in Uniflex and Senior flex. For those who may not know, Uniflex is a mix between stiff and regular flex shafts, making it a great choice for beginners. The 370 series is available for both lefty and righty golfers to enjoy. Righties are given the ability to get +1” on shaft length, sorry lefties. The Uniflex and Senior flex 370 sets offer graphite shafts in their drivers, woods and hybrids, while the irons and wedges come as steel shafts.

The Bazooka 470 series is available in Uniflex and Senior flex. This set is available only for righty golfers (once again, sorry lefties). Drivers, woods and hybrids in the 470 series are designed with graphite shafts, while the irons and wedges come as steel or graphite shafts.

To be noted: the 470 set with the steel shafted irons comes only with stand golf bag, and the 470 set with the graphite shafted irons comes only with a cart golf bag. You can learn more about the differences in the bags below in the golf bag section.

What are the similarities and differences in each of the Bazooka 370 and Bazooka 470 clubs?

To break down the similarities and differences between each club in the Bazooka 370 and Bazooka 470 series, we will go one club at a time. You will see which advanced technology is included in each of the Bazooka 370 and Bazooka 470 clubs, as well as what club measurements are different or consistent across both series.

Tour Edge Bazooka 370 vs Bazooka 470 Drivers

Bazooka 370:

Tour Edge added weight in the heel and toe areas of the sole to give this 460cc titanium matrix driver an enhanced center of gravity. The new perimeter weighting and driver’s ultra-thin face largely improves forgiveness on mishits while providing a faster and higher launch.

  • 5” Shaft Length
  • This is the largest clubhead size in golf, providing the biggest sweet spot you can find

Bazooka 470:

Tour Edge switched to a new shape for its high-MOI (moment of inertia) next gen Bazooka 460cc driver. It powers tee shots with powerful and accurate performance through its variable face thickness technology.

  • 45” Shaft Length
  • This is the largest clubhead size in golf, providing the biggest sweet spot you can find

Fairway Woods

Tour Edge Bazooka 370 vs Bazooka 470 Fairway Woods

These stainless steel fairway woods come in new oversized shapes with a lower center of gravity. As any great fairway wood should, these clubs make it easy to hit and get the ball quickly into the air from any lie on the course.

Tour Edge took a step further with advanced head shapes in their Bazooka 470 #3 and #5 woods. These clubs have a shallow face and an extra big sweet spot to assist in getting the ball into the air and accurately targeted.

  • 43” Shaft Length
  • 42” Shaft Length

Tour Edge Bazooka 370 vs Bazooka 470 Hybrids

With its stainless steel head and deeper center of gravity, this hybrid is easy to hit and forgiving on common mishits. Say goodbye to annoying hard hitting long irons, the Bazooka 370 Hybrid is here.

  • 75” Shaft Length

The Bazooka 470 set comes with two hybrids: the #4 and #5 hybrids. These feature new shapes with shallower faces and a design to optimize their center of gravity. All this comes together to provide maximum accuracy and forgiveness on all your shots.

  • 39” Shaft Length
  • 25” Shaft Length

Irons & Wedges

Tour Edge Bazooka 370 vs Bazooka 470 Irons and Wedges

The Bazooka 370 set comes with a #5 – #9 iron, plus pitching and sand wedge. All distance-based irons in the set hold a lower center of gravity with more heel and toe weighting to maximize shots and ball flight. The added large undercut cavity and stainless steel build combine for a bigger sweet spot and enhanced accuracy.

Due to the addition of its #5 Hybrid, the Bazooka 470 set comes with #6 – 9 irons, plus a pitching and sand wedge. Each made with a wider and longer blade for a larger head design, along with deeper perimeter weighting to the heel and toe of the clubhead. Beyond maximizing forgiveness, the enhanced center of gravity combines with an expanded undercut cavity for a bigger sweet spot with powerful and high launch on shots. The 470 irons and wedges are available as graphite or steel shafts.

  • 25” Steel Shaft Length
  • 75” Steel Shaft Length

Tour Edge Bazooka 370 vs Bazooka 470 Putters

The Bazooka 370 anser-style putter features an easy-to-use alignment aid for set up and keeping putts on line. Anser-style putters feature an offset hosel, which is the slightly thicker part of the club where the head meets the shaft.

  • 35” Shaft Length

The Bazooka 470 putter features a high-MOI (moment of inertia) design to maximize the stability through the stroke. This design provides optimized alignment at impact and keeps putts on line.

Tour Edge Bazooka 370 vs Bazooka 470 Golf Bags

The Bazooka 370 club men’s set comes with a lightweight stand bag. It holds an 8-way club divider with dual carry straps and five pockets. However, the senior set comes with a deluxe cart bag possessing 7 pockets, including two large garment pockets.

The Bazooka 470 club set additionally comes with two options depending on which iron shafts you choose. In the steel shaft iron set you can get a lightweight, dual strap stand bag. In the graphite shaft iron set you can enjoy a deluxe cart bag.

Who should use Tour Edge Bazooka 370 vs Bazooka 470 clubs?

Both the Hot Launch 3 and Hot Launch 4 club sets are targeted for two specific levels and types of players. Firstly, Tour Edge was focusing on beginner golfers when they designed these sets to provide utmost forgiveness and assistance in performance.

Secondly, intermediate golfers wanting to continue developing their game, or wanting to move on from their simple club set, are also great for the Bazooka 370 and 470 club series. As these clubs are built for forgiveness and consistency, both sets are great for anyone who wants to keep getting better at their golf game.

Are you ready for Bazooka 370 or Bazooka 470 Club Sets?

Want to take the next step in your golf game and find more forgiveness in your day-to-day performance? We are full supporters of both the Tour Edge Bazooka 370 and Bazooka 470 club sets to do exactly that. Our Tour Edge Bazooka 470 Set Review (Worth It in 2024?)

Henry Foster Image

The Tour Edge Bazooka 470 Complete Set is an excellent option for the mid to high handicapper looking for a brand new set of clubs.

You may not be overly familiar with the Tour Edge brand, but their Bazooka line of golf clubs has become very popular.

In this Tour Edge Bazooka review, we will explain exactly what you get with the Tour Edge Bazooka 470 set and a few alternatives if this is not the best pick for your golf game.

Tour Edge Bazooka 470 Set Review

tour edge 370 vs 470

What’s Included In The Set: Driver, 3 Wood, 5 Wood, 4 & 5 Hybrid, 6-SW, Putter, Stand Bag

Features And Benefits

tour edge 370 vs 470

Player Handicap

One of the biggest problems you will run into when looking for a complete club set is the fact that they are all made for beginner golfers .

One of the things we love most about this particular Bazooka Golf Club set is that it will work for a beginner golfer all the way to a middle handicapper .

The Bazooka Tour Edge 470 has a really great set makeup with a mix of fairways and hybrids that will have you set with all the golf clubs you will ever need to excel in this game.

Some may eventually add in a lob wedge , but you are undoubtedly fine to get by without it for a while.

Shaft Options

The Bazooka Golf Clubs do not have any customizable shafts or shaft options. The woods are going to have graphite shafts, and the irons will have a stainless steel shaft in them.

Some Bazooka sets do give you the option for graphite in the irons as well, but this will change the price slightly. You will also get a cart bag with the graphite shaft irons, with the steel shafts you get a stand bag.

The flex is going to be a uniflex shaft that will feel very close to a regular stainless steel golf shaft.

Look/Sound/Feel

Beginners golf clubs are known for being forgiving and relatively long , but they don’t always have a great feel. This is not the case with the Tour Edge Bazooka. These clubs feel like a traditional cavity back set of irons . If you want to hit a draw or a fade, you can.

The clubs themselves are easy to hit, but they have a great look to them. Combine that with the styling and design of the stand bag, and you will not just be ready to golf, but you will look like a golfer!

Forgiveness

The sweet spot on the 460 cc driver is quite large. Even if you miss the center of the clubface on the driver, you will get plenty of distance with this golf club. The irons have a very low center of gravity with a wide sole that makes them easy to hit.

Even the three and five wood have a slightly offset design to help you get the ball headed straight down the middle of the fairway.

As far as weighting is concerned, the set is a little bit light . If you have a very fast swing speed or are extremely strong, you may want to look into a club set with even more durable stainless steel shafts than these.

Considering this is a full club set with highly forgiving clubs, including fairway woods and hybrids , the price is pretty incredible.

You will have a hard time finding a better deal than this for the quality that you get with the Tour Edge Bazooka set.

Pros and Cons of The Tour Edge Bazooka 470

The Tour Edge Bazooka 470 golf set has both positives and negatives. Like any golf product, you can’t expect that the Tour Edge Bazooka will be the perfect fit for all players. When we look at the Tour Edge set there are more positives than negatives. Before you make your final purchase consider some of these positives and negatives.

  • Great set makeup
  • Comes with two fairway woods
  • Has two hybrid clubs included in the set
  • Large 460cc driver head
  • Forgiving golf putter
  • Large golf bag with plenty of storage
  • Total of six irons included
  • Can work for the higher handicapper and beginner or the mid handicapper
  • Not a great option for the high swing speed player
  • Clubs do not have as much longevity as a premium golf set from Tour Edge or another brand

Frequently Asked Questions

Many golfers wonder if the Tour Edge Bazooka 470 could be a good fit for their game. There are many complete set options like this Tour Edge on the market and it can take some time and dedication to narrow down which are the best for your needs. Let’s take a look at a few of the questions golfers have about the Tour Edge Bazooka 470 and the Tour Edge brand in general.

Who Should Play With The Tour Edge Bazooka 470?

The Tour Edge Bazooka 470 is the perfect complete set option for a golfer that is new to the game or plays an occasional round and does not want to spend a fortune on a completely new set of golf clubs.

The Bazooka has very fair pricing and the playability of the set is quite good. Golfers will find that they can enjoy forgiveness and feel with the Bazooka and not be restricted because of the set having a small sweet spot or difficult to flex golf shafts.

With the Tour Edge Bazooka, we typically see players in the mid to high handicap range go for this set of clubs. In addition, if you are on a budget but still want some quality and technology the Bazooka 470 could be a great overall choice.

Are The Tour Edge Bazooka 470 Clubs Good?

The Tour Edge Bazooka 470 clubs are good and they are a solid fit for many players looking for an increase in technology for a very fair price. If your golf set is a bit outdated and you need to upgrade everything at once, the Tour Edge Bazooka 470 is a great choice.

Many complete set options from manufacturers use basic technology and they try and release a set of clubs at a low price just to attract the budget shopper. Although the Tour Edge golf clubs are fairly priced, they are also known for being forgiving and having plenty of distance.

We can’t tell you that the Tour Edge will have anywhere near the technology of something like the new TaylorMade Stealth but you are also going to be looking at two completely different price ranges.

Overall the technology featured in the Tour Edge Bazooka 470 makes them a very good choice for a large group of golfers.

Is Tour Edge A Good Golf Brand?

Tour Edge is a good golf brand but it may not be as well known as other golf brands. The Tour Edge company focuses on fairly priced golf equipment for the average player. There is a division of this company that will also work with players who are looking to try and perfect their game and lower scores, but that is a smaller division and those are the Tour Edge Exotics.

The Tour Edge brand does not advertise nearly as much as other golf manufacturers and that is partly why some golfers wonder if the products are good. If you are not being shown all of the latest releases from a company you may wonder what the reasoning is behind this.

The good thing about seeing less advertising from a brand is that their marketing expenses are lower and the overall product prices may also be lower.

Are Tour Edge Clubs Forgiving?

The Tour Edge golf clubs, especially those in the Bazooka 470 set are very forgiving. The clubs are perimeter weighed cavity back irons. In addition, the fairway woods have large sweet spots and the hybrids have a bit of extra weight to help them pull through the rough to hit a great shot.

With the shafts in the Tour Edge golf clubs, there is also quite a bit of forgiveness and high launch that golfers will see. If you struggle to get the ball up high enough or have a problem with dispersion, the Tour Edge golf clubs could be a perfect fit for your needs.

Why Are Tour Edge Golf Clubs Less Expensive?

Tour Edge golf clubs are less expensive because they have different marketing and business strategies and try to appeal to the golfer that is on a budget. If you are one of these players the Tour Edge brand is good to consider.

In addition, if you are looking for individual clubs that are not part of the Tour Edge Bazooka set you may be able to get them custom ordered through the Tour Edge website for a very fair price. Many golfers need custom-fit golf clubs and this requires you to purchase something brand new from a top manufacturer.

Luckily Tour Edge also allows for custom fit golf clubs but the price point is considerably lower. Most golfers can get irons for a little less than $100 an iron which is something that we typically don’t see from custom golf clubs.

The fact that Tour Edge golf clubs are slightly less expensive should not be something that keeps you from purchasing this brand. The lower price has nothing to do with the overall quality of the product.

Alternatives

If the Bazooka 470 isn’t for you, there are other options out there.

These three are the most closely related to the golfer that would be interested in the Tour Edge Bazooka.

Tour Edge Bazooka 370

tour edge 370 vs 470

  • Priced lower than the Bazooka 470
  • Good set makeup for a beginner
  • Lightweight bag
  • Shafts are not quite as strong as 470
  • Better suited for beginner

The Tour Edge Bazooka 370 is the little brother to the 470. This set will be a bit more forgiving and have a more oversized clubhead design.

If you are a newer golfer and like the complete option that the 470 gives but are not sure you want to spend as much money, the 370 makes a great choice.

These clubs have a very thin face , which will help you get a little more distance than the clubs you are currently playing with. This set includes a Driver , 3 & 5 wood , 4 Hybrid , 5-SW , and a putter .

So the set makeup is similar to the Tour Edge Bazooka 470, except you get one more iron and one less hybrid. It still comes with steel shafts and a lightweight stand bag.

Callaway Strata Tour

tour edge 370 vs 470

  • Price is very fair, similar to Tour Edge
  • Easy to hit clubs
  • Tour model is more for players that have played some golf
  • Not for faster swing speeds

Callaway makes quite a few complete club set options. However, the one that is most similar is the Callaway Strata Tour .

The Tour comes in both a stiff and regular golf shaft , so it is geared for the player that a bit more of an idea as to what their game is capable of.

Just like the Tour Edge Bazooka, the Callaway comes with a 460cc driver and all the clubs necessary to put together a complete easy to hit set.

The Callaway has the name brand behind it, but the player with more experience should look more at the 470 than the Callaway Strata Tour.

Cobra Speed XL

tour edge 370 vs 470

  • Complete set makeup
  • Stainless steel irons
  • Great set for the price
  • More expensive than the 470

Last is the Cobra Speed Complete Set . The Cobra is a bit more of a premium option than the Tour Edge Bazooka, and because of that, you will pay a bit more money for it.

The Cobra Speed will have a complete set makeup with two hybrids and two fairways.

If you are a mid handicap golfer that is looking for a great value with plenty of forgiveness and performance , the Cobra is a great choice. This set will have a better feel than any of the other options in this review.

Hopefully, this Tour Edge Bazooka review helped you learn more about what these clubs can offer your game. Choosing a set of clubs can be difficult.

Some may have a driver you love, but the irons are not right for your game. Another may have great short game tools but terrible long game tools.

The Tour Edge Bazooka is a wonderful option because it gives you a quality product across the long and short game.

The 460cc driver, the stainless steel-shafted irons, and even the forgiving and great feeling putter make this set one of the best values on the market.

Tour Edge announced (quite a while ago to be honest) their new Bazooka 370 and Bazooka 470 Black complete sets for golfers looking for no-nonsense gear at affordable prices. The new sets are part of the company’s Get in the Game products, i.e. best sellers designed and built to play in the “best bang for the buck” category in the game.

As per Tour Edge manifesto, the new Bazooka 370 and Bazooka 470 Black are basically high quality/high performance sets built to make golfers’ lives easier on the course, and the game itself easier to play, or something along these lines. According to the company’s president David Glod, but let’s quote the man himself:

“Our Get in the Game products include complete sets for men, seniors, women, and juniors, as well as modestly priced golf bags, wedges, and putters. The entire Get in the Game concept is fueled by our desire to help grow the game of golf by offering great performing products at the best pricing in the industry. No one else is doing what we are doing as far as offering every type of golfer a quality option to get into new golf equipment.”

Tour Edge Launches Bazooka 370 and Bazooka 470 Complete Sets

Marketing talk aside, the Bazooka 370 and Bazooka 470 Black sets feature a new weight positioning and club head shapes, in order to deliver more forgiveness compared to previous Tour Edge made gear, i.e. they’re incredibly easy to hit and launch.

Let’s begin with the new Bazooka 470 Black complete men’s package set: all the irons in the set arrive with “new and improved” aerodynamically shaped heads, as well as an optimal CoG (center of gravity). There’s also a high-MOI 460cc Bazooka Black 10.5 degree driver, available with a new shape and obviously sold separately, that’s ideal for people looking for high flying and accurate performance. The driver comes with Tour Edge’s patented VFT, also known as Variable Thickness Face technology, that delivers long and powerful tee shots. The 470 Black set includes more advanced head shapes for the 15-degree 3-wood and the 19-degree 5-wood; these babies are designed with a pretty big sweet spot and a shallow face, i.e. everything is aimed at helping golfers to lift the ball easier and on target.

Then we have the 470 hybrids, which are also brand new and featuring new shapes, including a shallow face and an enhanced center of gravity, which bring together both accuracy and forgiveness in a long iron replacement club. The new hybrids are available in lofts of 22 and 25 degrees. We must also say a few words about the new larger iron head designs, that arrive with a longer and wider blade, featuring additional weight located lower and in the center of the club. This particular design feature is aimed at improving forgiveness because after all's said and done, you can't have game improving equipment without extra forgiveness. The new 470 irons combine an expanded undercut cavity with extreme perimeter weighting to the heel and toe of the clubhead, which ends up in a bigger-than-life sweet spot, for a high and powerful launch.

Tour Edge Launches Bazooka 370 and Bazooka 470 Complete Sets

And before you ask, the new Bazooka 470 Black set includes a high moment of inertia putter in a mallet-style design, that maximizes stability. Finally, all the components of the new complete-set from Tour Edge arrive in a newly designed dual strap lightweight stand bag (with steel shaft iron set) or deluxe cart bag (with graphite shaft iron set), right-handed only, for only $539,99 MSRP.

Next in line, we have the Bazooka 370 Complete Set; arguably, the main star of the show is the 460cc titanium matrix Bazooka 370 driver, that arrives with an optimized CoG (center of gravity) and extra weight located in the heel and toe areas, as well as a newly designed ultra-thin face. The new perimeter weighting technology and the thin face of the driver are incredible in terms of boosting forgiveness, especially on off-center hits, and they also deliver a faster and higher launch, shot after shot.

Tour Edge Launches Bazooka 370 and Bazooka 470 Complete Sets

The fairway woods in the Bazooka 370 set are designed as low profile, oversized stainless steel 15- and 19-degree, with a lower center of gravity and new shapes, i.e. they're easier to hit than ever before and excel at getting the ball quickly into the air from basically any lie. The Bazooka 370 hybrid successfully replaces the hard-to-hit long iron and makes for a forgiving No. 4 24-degree hybrid with a low profile design and easy to hit stainless steel head, featuring a deep CoG.

The Bazooka 370 set includes distance based irons, now in a larger design and extra heel and toe weighting, with a low CoG; everything's centered on delivering amplified ball flights, as the cavity back irons built from stainless steel are designed to deliver excellent accuracy via their larger sweet spot. The Bazooka 370 putter comes with an easy to use alignment-aid, in an anser-style design. Obviously, all the gear comes packed in a premium lightweight stand bag if you order the Men's set, or a lightweight cart bag if you order the Senior set. Both versions are available for $439.99 MSRP, both in left and right-handed options nationwide and globally.

Tour Edge is a golf equipment company that tends to do a little less advertising and promotion than other brands in the industry.

The result of this is that you may not know as much about these clubs, but their pricing is usually a little bit less.

I recently tested the Tour Edge Bazooka 370 golf set, and it seemed like a really fair price for all that was included.

Overall, this set offers tremendous value. It is a great golf set for beginners and high handicappers.

Tour Edge Bazooka 370 Review and Benefits

tour edge 370 vs 470

One of the first things that will stand out about the Tour Edge Bazooka 370 is how reasonably priced it is.

In addition to the fair pricing, I really wanted to see how the distance, forgiveness, and overall ease of use stood up against other complete golf sets on the market.

What’s Included

The Tour Edge Bazooka 370 Set comes with 12 golf clubs. You really won’t need to add anything additional to the set. In addition, you also get a golf bag and a few headcovers .

  • Pitching Wedge
  • Sand Wedge
  • Golf Bag and Headcovers

Driver and Fairway Woods

Driver in the tour edge bazooka 370 set

The first thing I like to look for in these complete golf sets is whether or not the driver is a 460cc club head. This is the current USGA max , and you may as well take advantage of the largest and most forgiving golf club head size you can.

Players will enjoy an optimized center of gravity and a relatively high launch from the driver. The driver’s head is not adjustable, but it is set at 10.5 degrees, making it a fair amount of loft for golfers still new to the game.

This Tour Edge Bazooka 370 is not the longest club I’ve ever hit, but it was relatively accurate. I can see this as a good choice for those needing the extra forgiveness.

The set also comes with a 15 and a 19 degree fairway wood. These fairway woods have a low center of gravity and increase total launch. In fact, I loved using them as an alternative to the driver on certain holes.

Out of the rough, the 4 hybrid or the 5 wood are forgiving enough that you won’t be penalized for having your drive land here.

Hybrid and Irons

Our test of the 7 iron in the tour edge bazooka 370 set

There is only one hybrid included in the Tour Edge 370 Complete Set. Instead of two hybrids, they have put a 5 iron in play. This is really my one major complaint about this set of golf clubs. Sometimes it’s hard to hit the 5 iron if you have a slower swing speed.

However, these irons were designed to be more heel and toe weighted. The result is a lower center of gravity and a higher overall ball flight. In addition, these are cavity back irons, so you can expect they offer plenty of forgiveness when hit in the center of the face.

Outside of the 5 iron (which requires a little extra speed), the overall performance of these golf irons was very consistent.

Wedge and Putter

testing the bazooka 370 putter

There is a sand wedge and a pitching wedge included as part of the Tour Edge set. You may consider adding a lob wedge from another brand with high spin levels.

These wedges are easy to work with and very forgiving, but not necessarily the most impressive when it comes to spin rates.

The Tour Edge Bazooka 370 set comes with a classic blade-style putter . The putter has an alignment aid to help with visualization, and the overall feel of the clubface is pretty soft.

You may not keep this putter forever, but it’s a good start.

Golf Bag

The Tour Edge Bazooka 370 set comes with either a lightweight stand bag or a cart bag. The cart bag is only available in the senior set. Both of the bags have plenty of storage, and they come with an 8-way divider top to keep the clubs from hitting each other as you play and practice.

I like the stand bag a bit better than the cart bag, as it is versatile and durable. The cart bag is nice for storage, but it certainly makes it difficult to walk the golf course and carry it with you.

Tour Edge Bazooka 370 Pros and Cons

The Tour Edge Bazooka 370 has lots of impressive features. Overall I really liked the forgiveness that this set offers.

It may not provide the most impressive distance technology on the market, but if you miss the center of the clubface, you won’t be punished badly for it. Paired with a forgiving golf ball , you’d be in good shape.

tour edge bazooka 370 4 hybrid review

The major negative here is the 5 iron. It’s just hard for most average to slow swing speed beginners to hit a 5 iron with ease.

However, if you happen to have a little extra speed in your game, this 5-iron will likely be a club you enjoy.

  • Very forgiving golf clubs
  • Includes two fairway woods for more versatility in the set
  • Impressive performance from the rough
  • Higher launching golf clubs
  • Regular and senior shaft options
  • 5 iron is a bit more difficult to hit than a 5 hybrid
  • Distance from this set is not quite as long as other options on the market

The oversized, low-profile stainless steel 15- and 19-degree fairway woods come in new shapes that feature a lower CG so they are easy to hit and get the ball quickly into the air from any lie on the course.

Tour Edge Bazooka 470

We’ve tested almost all of the top beginner golf sets on the market, and we just keep coming back to this Tour Edge Bazooka 470.

Tour Edge makes a full line of products for golfers of all levels.

garmin-approach-s62-watch-gps-range-finders

Tour Edge Bazooka 470 Complete Club Set

The clubs are affordable, feature forgiveness and distance technology, and have a club set makeup that works perfectly for the beginner player.

We earn a commission if you click this link and make a purchase at no additional cost to you.

The Tour Edge Bazooka 470 has options for both steel and graphite shafts. The best thing about the set is that you will likely be able to use this even as you move from the beginner to intermediate stages of the game.

Here’s a look at our experience with the Tour Edge Bazooka 470.

Tour Edge Bazooka 470 Complete Set Review

To get a better idea of what the Tour Edge Bazooka 470 set has to offer, we took the clubs on the course and to the driving range.

Having these in our hands was the best way to give you a complete description of what they have to offer.

What You’ll Find in the Tour Edge Golf Bazooka 470 Set

Tour Edge Bazooka 470 Golf Club Set

The Tour Edge Bazooka 470 is a pretty complete set. It comes with a driver, 3 wood, 5 wood, 4 hybrid, 5 hybrid, and 6-SW irons.

It also comes with a putter and a bag where you can keep all your gear. It’s either a cart bag or a stand bag, depending on the variant you buy.

You can either get an all-graphite shaft set or opt for steel shafts on the irons and graphite shafts on the driver and woods.

An all-graphite set would be a better option for beginners with slower swing speeds. Steel shafts on irons give you better performance if you have more speed.

Looks and Feel

In terms of looks, the Bazooka 470 combines black, yellow, and silver.

It has a sleek look to it, making it a good choice for golfers regardless of age. Some beginner sets can look like they are made for seniors or teens, but the 470 works for everyone.

At a glance, you’ll be able to tell it’s not a pro’s set, but the price point shows that, too!

The feel of the clubs is good. They aren’t premium TaylorMade or Callaway clubs, but Tour Edge is actually known for having a great feel in their equipment.

You can go after the ball a bit and still get some impressive stability in the clubhead, something we didn’t really expect. The sound isn’t the best coming off the woods, but again, for the price point, it matches.

It just has a cheaper hollow sound than something like a Titleist or Ping Driver.

The Tour Edge Bazooka 470 is designed for golfers with heights between 5’8″ and 6’3″ tall.

Performance

This beginner-friendly set comes with everything that you need. You’ll get great distances, no matter your lie or the type of shot you’re taking. So, let’s look at the parts that make this possible.

Tour Edge Bazooka 470 Driver

The driver is a large 460cc clubhead with 10.5 degrees of loft. It’s got a high moment of inertia to get all the speed and distance you need. At setup, the club is just a little offset, but not enough to be awkward or unappealing.

The technology used in the clubhead combined with the large face also works to reduce twisting and give you straighter and more powerful shots.

Tour Edge Bazooka 470 Hybrid

The Bazooka 470 comes with two hybrids, a 4 hybrid, and a 5 hybrid. This is one of the most important benefits of the set (and you’ll use them a lot!).

They have 22 and 25-degree lofts, respectively.

Their lofts and the shallow face design result in higher accuracy and a better sound when hitting the ball.

Tour Edge Bazooka 470 Irons

With the Tour Edge Bazooka 470 set, you get 6 through 9 irons. They have lofts of 28, 32, 36, and 41 degrees, respectively.

The four irons come with perimeter weighting as well as a low center of gravity. Not only that, but they have deep undercuts, all of which make the irons highly forgiving.

When we tried on the course, we noticed it was easy to get the irons up in the air, and they were forgiving even out of a difficult lie.

If you don’t consistently get center shots, the irons are a good match. It also serves you well if you’re working on increasing distance .

Tour Edge Bazooka 470 Wood

One of the biggest perks about the Bazooka 470 set is that it comes with two fairway woods. You don’t find that often in beginner complete sets, especially for this price.

One is 3 wood, and the other is 5 wood. Each one is set to a 15-degree loft and 19-degree loft, respectively.

The heads of these woods come with an aerodynamic design. Mix that with the shallow face design, and you get ideal shots that don’t compromise your speed—even with high lofts.

We liked the way they set up on the ground. If you use your fairway woods from the short grass, you shouldn’t have much trouble getting them up in the air and heading toward your target.

The set comes with both a sand wedge and a pitching wedge, set to 55 and 46 degrees of loft, respectively.

Similar to the irons, the wedges feature deep undercuts and larger sweet spots. So, it’s safe to say that every item in this set caters to a novice’s needs.

The sand wedge is great for short-sided green shots, but you may eventually add a lob wedge to ensure they all work together properly

Tour Edge Bazooka 470 Putter

To put the cherry on top, Tour Edge gives you a putter with a high moment of inertia. This helps you land your short shots effortlessly and smoothly.

It’s a modern mallet-style putter that is very stable at impact. If you are known to twist the head when you come into the ball, the Tour Edge putter can fix it for you.

As is the case with most beginner clubs, the Bazooka 470 clubs are perimeter-weighted.

They also come with cavity back irons and fairway woods with large sweet spots.

Finally, the hybrids come with extra weight to enable beginners to feel the clubhead and hit great shots, even when they’re in the rough.

All in all, the Tour Edge Bazooka 470 set caters intricately to novices who are still trying to get a hang of the game.

Why should you buy the Tour Edge Bazooka 470?

  • Great combination of golf clubs for beginners
  • Comes with two fairway woods
  • Has a large 460cc driver head that’s perfect for beginners
  • High-quality bag with multiple storage spaces
  • Comes with six irons (including a sand wedge)
  • The clubs feel steady
  • Suits mid handicappers as well as high handicappers

What are the Tour Edge Bazooka 470’s shortcomings?

  • Comes only in a right-hand variant
  • Doesn’t suit high swing speeds
  • The club’s paint can chip if not properly cared for

Final Verdict

The Tour Edge Golf Bazooka 470 club set is a great set from a mid-range brand. Tour Edge knew exactly what they were doing when they gave us the Bazooka 470 set.

The set isn’t going to last you the next 15 years, but you can use this as an occasional golfer or a beginner looking for something affordable and well made.

Use the provided headcovers when playing a round of golf with your Tour Edge Golf Bazooka 470 to ensure that no paint chipping occurs.

If you are new to the game or play golf a handful of times a year, keep this one on your list

Callaway Strata Vs. Tour Edge Bazooka 370 Golf Club Set Comparison Overview

tour edge 370 vs 470

If you are looking for a set of entry-level golf clubs that you will still be able to use once your game improves, you might want to pay extra close attention to the following comparison overview. We have tested the Tour Edge Bazooka 370 and the Callaway Strata golf club sets before.

However, we have never tested them side by side. We wanted to see how these sets stacked up against each other specifically because individually, we already know them to be quality beginner’s sets. But which one is better overall? Find out in the following comparison overview.

Callaway Strata Golf Club Set Overview

Strata Main Image

The Callaway Strata complete men’s golf club set includes a driver, 3 wood, 5 hybrid, irons 6-9, a pitching wedge and putter.

The incidentals of the set include a stand bag and 2 head covers for your woods. Now let’s get into the fun stuff. What we liked most about this set was the driver and it’s performance off the tee. The driver of the Strata set is a perfect example of one that punches above it’s weight class.

It has a forged titanium face insert so not only does it yield exceptional distance (about 257 yards on average for a tester with a swing speed of 95mph) but also feels amazing on impact. The driver definitely feels like one you would find in a premium set of clubs.

We liked the combination of 3 wood and 5 hybrid in the set to give beginners options. However, both these clubs produce a sort of flat shot trajectory. The irons are nothing to write home about either but the long blade and wide soles will definitely help with forgiveness.

Tour Edge Bazooka 370 Golf Club Set Overview

tour edge 370 vs 470

The Tour Edge Bazooka 370 set includes a driver, 3 wood, 5 wood, #4 hybrid, irons 5-9, PW, SW and putter.

It’s clear that Tour Edge emphasized forgiveness more than anything else with this set. The entire set feature low and back weight placement that will make it easier for new players to get their swing speed up and make more consistent contact with the ball.

The 460CC driver also has a titanium face but it was not forged so the feel is poorer even if the distance is about the same as the Strata driver. This set shines in the rough as the fairway woods and hybrid sport shallow faces that allow players to scoop the ball out of shaggy turf.

The irons are also forgiving in this set; but we really liked the wide sole and high launch of the wedges. The anser-style putter is well-balanced but you don’t get a lot of feel or roll control due to the clunky face insert.

We liked the overall performance of the Tour Edge Bazooka 370 set. It offers comparable distance and just a bit more short-game accuracy thanks to the thoughtfully designed wedges. Plus, you actually get 2 woods and a sand wedge!

Callaway Strata – First Impressions & Club Breakdowns

tour edge 370 vs 470

After seeing the 1000’s of positive reviews online, I was looking forward to getting my heads on the clubs and getting them out on the driving range for a test run was high on the list of priorities.

You can immediately tell that the clubs are good quality when you take them out of the bag. The clubs feel light to hold and the shafts are solid but do have a bit of flex.

The driver stands out initially with the large titanium head and massive sweet spot. The club is long accurate and forgiving.

The 3 Wood also has a large sweet spot and is a dream to hit off the fairway. These clubs are built for distance and if you have a slower swing speed, the 3 Wood can also be excellent off the tee.

With the 14 piece set, you get the 5 hybrid which is the perfect club for when you veer to the left or right of the fairway. If you want an extra hybrid that can close any distance gaps and replace some irons shots, go with the 16 piece set.

The irons are game improvement with thick soles, built for distance and they interact well with the turf making them easy to get in the air and towards the green.

The pitching wedge is nice to hit and the lack of a Sand Wedge in the 12 piece set makes the 14 piece a must have for most beginners in my book.

No complaints with the putter, they haven’t tried to reinvent the wheel, it’s a simple blade putter with a solid shaft that gets the job done with visual alignment included.

The shafts in all of the clubs with the Strata set are Steel but you have a choice between regular and stiff flex. There is also a ladies set with ladies flex available.

The clubs are built for forgiveness AND distance, so if you have an average to faster swing speed, Strata can be an excellent option.

Tour Edge Bazooka 370 – First Impressions & Club Breakdown

tour edge 370 vs 470

The first thing you will notice about these clubs is that they are lightweight and feel very balanced.

Tour Edge did a really good job with CG placement in pretty much all of these clubs but most notably in the driver and fairway woods. The extreme heel and toe weighting in the heads of the woods make swinging these clubs very comfortable –  even if you have a fast swing speed.

Of course, the Bazooka 370 golf clubs were designed with slower swing speed players in mind. Let’s take a look at each individual club.

The driver is set to 10.5 degrees of loft so you get decent launch out of it. The main attraction, so to speak, is the titanium face. The thin titanium face provides plenty of flex and feel so you know where you struck the ball on the face after every drive. The 460CC head will also be congenial for players who are having a bit of trouble with accuracy off the tee.

Fairway Woods

The #3 and #5 fairway woods are thoughtfully designed for the high handicap player. They feature shallow faces which helps them perform better from the rough and tight lies. Beginners will be able to scoop the ball up out of the rough and launch the ball nice and high with these woods.

Just in case you don’t like woods, Tour Edge included a #4 hybrid. This hybrid has a generous sweet spot and is nice and light. Like the fairway woods, the #4 hybrid in the Tour Edge Bazooka 370 golf club set has a shallow face so it too can be very handy when you find yourself in the rough.

The first thing we noticed about these irons is the long blade and large profile. These irons were designed to hit with. They are cavity back irons which help with distance and forgiveness. While you won’t be able to work the short irons too well, you probably aren’t very worried about that as a beginner anyway.

The pronounced leading edges of the sand and pitching wedge makes it very easy to launch the ball high in the air. In fact, they launch too high sometimes, causing the ball to lose it’s line in windy conditions. Still, beginners will start to learn how to work short approaches with these wedges and that’s the important thing.

The Tour Edge Bazooka 370 set comes with an anser-style putter that looks smooth and clean at point of address. The roll control is a bit lacking as the face insert seems a little on the thick side, but the clubhead balance is there.

Shaft Information

The woods and hybrid clubs in the Bazooka 370 set are all outfitted with graphite shafts. They are 75 grams while the irons in the set have steel shafts that are 110 grams.

Who Is The Strata Set For

tour edge 370 vs 470

The Strata set is for beginners. The clubs get rave reviews but it is important to keep in mind that they are not going to compete with a premium $400 driver or $6oo set of irons when it comes to performance.

Who is the Tour Edge Bazooka 370 Golf Club Set for?

tour edge 370 vs 470

It became very clear after just half a round with these golf clubs that they were designed with beginner players in mind.

Everything about the set was made to be forgiving. From the extreme perimeter weighted driver to the oversized heads of the iron, Tour Edge wanted to make sure that beginner players felt confident with these clubs at point of address.

If you are an intermediate player you might be able to derive some value from this set – mainly from the easy distance and launch you get from the woods. However, the lack of workability in the irons will likely leave a bad taste in the mouth of players who are trying to hone their short-game accuracy.

That all being said, the Tour Edge Bazooka 370 would make a great gift for anyone who has expressed interest in taking up golf. If you are searching for a beginner set of clubs for yourself, the Tour Edge Bazooka 370 set is an affordable option and in most cases, we think that beginner players can skip a fitting with these clubs.

Distance: 92/100

Accuracy: 89/100

Feel & Control: 91/100

Forgiveness: 94/100

Callaway Strata Vs Tour Edge Bazooka 360 Golf Club Review – Which One Should I Buy?

Callaway strata vs tour edge bazooka golf club review – which one should i buy.

Strata Main Image

We know a lot of golfers that like to chop their sets and add different clubs to them over time. But even they had to start somewhere. Buying individual clubs from different sets can be very time-consuming and very expensive.

For the most part, it’s better to start with a complete set and make changes to it as needed down the road. But what set offers the best initial value? Which set will give you the best springboard into an effective collection that’s all your own?

Today we are going to be looking at a couple of different complete sets of golf clubs. We chose these sets because we believe that they are good starting points for both beginners and those who have been playing for some time. So let’s take a look.

The Callaway Strata Set

Strata Golf Clubs

The Callaway Strata clubs are for anyone looking for a good set of clubs to start out with. Over time, you may want to change a couple of the woods and putter, but overall Callaway has come through with the Strata series and delivered clubs that are high quality and affordable.

You get everything you need from this set. They will help improve your front game and best of all, they come from one of the best golf club manufacturers in the world. The ample driver gives you a good start to any round with a large head and plenty of forgiveness.

The Tour Edge Bazooka 360 Set

Bazooka 360

The Tour Edge Bazooka 360 is another full set of clubs that aims to deliver firepower right out of the gate and they do a pretty good job. This would be a great set for anyone who already knows that they prefer hybrid irons as opposed to straight up steel ones.

While Tour Edge doesn’t share as much of the market as Callaway does, they have made some very high-rated clubs in recent years. With the Tour Edge Bazooka series, they continue to impress seasoned vets and novices to the game.

Callaway Strata Features

The Callaway Strata set is a full 12-piece set. One of the best features of the set is the oversized driver face which allows for maximum forgiveness. It is a 460CC, forged titanium head so it delivers plenty of launch power.

There are both stainless steel and hybrid irons in this set. The PW is made of stainless steel. There is also an oversized fairway wood (3) that delivers an ample loft degree of 15.5. Naturally, the pitching wedge features the highest loft degree at 44.

  • More affordable than the Tour Edge Bazooka set
  • Driver has a good length (45”)
  • Stainless steel irons
  • A hybrid 5 iron
  • Putter features alignment
  • Comes with a standing bag with a cooler compartment
  • They dent easily
  • Not long enough for taller golfers (6’2” and above)
  • Geared more towards starters trying to improve their front game
  • Only one iron is a hybrid

Tour Edge Bazooka Features

Bazooka 360

The back irons of this set are what impressed us the most. They are cavity-backed irons that are weighted at both the heel and toe. They make it easier to take a proper swing and give you great loft and sound on impact.

The driver (460cc) was also pretty easy to use. It has a nice, thin face which improves forgiveness. The hybrid iron in this set is the 4 and the other iron heads are made of stainless steel. The putter features a white alignment finish.

  • The clubs are more durable than the Callaway’s
  • The irons were also easier to use
  • The putter was also easy to hit accurate shots with
  • You get head covers for the 5 wood, 4 iron 3 wood and driver
  • High MOI putter
  • Titanium driver
  • The bag is kind of flimsy and cheap
  • We wish the hybrid iron was the 5
  • No 9 iron so this set may not be good if you use irons a lot
  • Steel iron shafts

Composition comparison.

The driver and hybrids of the Tour Edge Bazooka are graphite. The 4 iron is a composite of stainless steel and graphite. The fairway woods are steel and the driver features a titanium head. The hybrid irons also feature stainless steel heads.

The shaft of the 5 iron Callaway Strata set is also a composite of graphite and stainless steel. The head of the driver is also a nice full titanium style head. The 6 and 9 irons as well as the pitching wedge are made of stainless steel.

Performance Comparison

Callaway Strata 3

The Callaway Strata set seems to have emphasized opening drives. It is impressive how easy it is to get good distance with the driver.

It is also very easy to hit the sweet spot of the driver. But for the back end of the round, we felt the putters, woods and pitching wedge underperformed.

The Tour Edge Bazooka 360 set also delivered with a great driver that opens up the hole with a good distance advantage. But they took the long game a step further by including some high quality, cavity-backed irons that give good spin control and loft. Oh yes, and good distance as well.

Pitch shots also suffer a bit with the Tour Edge Bazooka, but the putter was at least smoother than the Callaway.

Price Comparison

The Tour Edge Bazooka 360 will cost you around $340 while the Callaway Strata set will set you back about $289.

Our Opinion

tour edge 370 vs 470

As a jumping off point, you really can’t go wrong with either of these sets. They make it easier to improve the aspect of your game that you should focus on when just starting out: your long game.

But in our opinion, the Tour Edge Bazooka performs a bit better during other portions of your round. It is a better set if you want one that can keep up with you a bit as your game improves.

You will have to supplement less of the finer clubs of the Tour Edge Bazooka in the future, as opposed to the Callaways, so in our opinion, it’s the better set for improving golfers. Give it a good look if you need a starter set!

  2. Tour Edge Bazooka 370 vs. 470

In particular, it may be worth discussing what the 370 and 470 sets can offer more experienced golfers. The Tour Edge Bazooka 370 set is cheaper than the 470 set. The 370 set also features a higher launch, a putter with alignment help, and very thin club faces. The 470 set is more expensive but gives players more forgiveness and weight in the ...

  3. Comparing Tour Edge Bazooka 370 vs Tour Edge Bazooka 470

Both series come as full sets with advanced technology designed to add faster shot speeds and enhanced forgiveness to your game. Both the Bazooka 370 and Bazooka 470 sets come with 12 clubs. 4. Our Tour Edge Bazooka 470 Set Review (Worth It in 2024?)

Tour Edge Bazooka 370. The Tour Edge Bazooka 370 is the little brother to the 470. This set will be a bit more forgiving and have a more oversized clubhead design. If you are a newer golfer and like the complete option that the 470 gives but are not sure you want to spend as much money, the 370 makes a great choice.

  5. Tour Edge Launches Bazooka 370 and Bazooka 470 Complete Sets

Tour Edge announced (quite a while ago to be honest) their new Bazooka 370 and Bazooka 470 Black complete sets for golfers looking for no-nonsense gear at affordable prices. The new sets are part of the company's Get in the Game products, i.e. best sellers designed and built to play in the "best bang for the buck" category in the game.

  6. Tour Edge Bazooka 370 Review and Hands On Test

The Tour Edge Bazooka 370 set comes with a classic blade-style putter. The putter has an alignment aid to help with visualization, and the overall feel of the clubface is pretty soft. You may not keep this putter forever, but it's a good start. Golf Bag . The Tour Edge Bazooka 370 set comes with either a lightweight stand bag or a cart bag.

Highlights of the new complete sets include: New Higher MOI shape on Bazooka 470 Driver. New more advanced shape on Bazooka 470 FW's. New shape, shallower face, deeper CG on Bazooka 470 and Bazooka 370 ...

  10. Tour Edge Bazooka 470 Review

Driver. The driver in the Tour Edge Bazooka 470 set is 460cc, the same size as all the top brand-name golf drivers on the market this year. This is a non-adjustable driver head with 10.5 degrees of loft. Overall, the forgiveness of the driver is good, but it does have less draw bias than drivers in most beginner complete golf sets.

  13. Tour Edge Bazooka 370 Golf Clubs Set Review

Tour Edge Bazooka 360. The older version of the Tour Edge Bazooka's feature a lot of the same features like cavity-back irons, 460cc driver head and an anser-style putter. But this set is significantly more affordable now that the thinner-face 370's are on the market. Pros: Very affordable; Deep undercut irons
