Hyderabad, India

Online registration is done for this place.

Online registration is done for this place.

The tourists here are permitted to stay in Poochamarathur Eco Tourism Resort on Saturday and Sunday only by the forest officials.

India offers a lot of budget-friendly destinations that provide an amazing travel experience. Coimbatore district in Tamil Nadu qualifies as one of those inexpensive destination. When one envisions this place, the initial thoughts typically revolve around lush forests, abundant greenery, etc. This space articulates the list of popular tourist destinations named Poochamarathur Eco Tourism Resort, Parlikad village, etc which provide ample opportunities for visitors to enjoy Coimbatore.

Poochamarathur Eco Tourism Resort-

This resort is one of the popular tourist destinations for both children and adults. It is located near Karamadai, which is located 30 kilometres away from Coimbatore and 5 km away from Mettupalayam. The serene and calm natural environment is another USP for this popular picnic spot.

When can tourists go here?

Reservation required

If you are going with your family members i.e.- around 5 or 10 to 15 people then you should book in advance and get their names registered. Registration is done online and by entering the details on the Forest Department’s official website.

Tourists can also visit the Parlikad village in Kerala with a bus facility available there. There is a disadvantage with this facility because it takes time to help tourists reach their destination. People can reach the village by bike but then they will be left vulnerable to attacks by the forest animals. Therefore, the commuters are advised to not prefer buses or bikes and instead travel by car. This will ensure their safety and quick arrival at the village as well.

The moment you step into the Parlikad village, the villagers living there will welcome you with immense respect and also serve luscious Sukku Malli Coffee. Also called Sukku Tea, it is one of the best home remedies used commonly in Tamil households.

Parisal savaari

Parisal savaari offers a mesmerising boating experience in the river Bhavani which gets water from the Pillur dam. A maximum of 4 people are allowed in one boat and enjoy the captivating sight of nature alongside.
