UAE Visit Visa Requirements for Pakistani Citizens

  • Simplified Application Form
  • Expert Application Review
  • Approved visa or money back

The Ministry of the Interior of the United Arab Emirates has implemented an online visa for travelers arriving in the country from more than 140 countries across the world, including Pakistan.

The eVisa for the UAE expedites the visa application process, making it quicker and easier to apply and receive your electronic tourist visa from Pakistan. This travel document can be requested and obtained online from the comfort of your home without needing to visit an embassy or consulate.

This page covers everything you need to know about the UAE eVisa for Pakistanis, including Dubai visa requirements for Pakistani travelers.

Main Features of the eVisa for the UAE for Pakistanis

The visa policy for the UAE defines which nationalities are eligible to obtain an electronic visa and what conditions must be met. Citizens from Pakistan can apply for the Emirati eVisa if their travel plans meet the following features:

  • Their trip will be for tourism and leisure
  • They will only need a single-entry eVisa
  • Their visit to the UAE will be temporary (30 days maximum)

Pakistani travelers must consider that once the eVisa is granted, they have 60 days to use the eVisa to enter the country. They must also plan their transportation to be by air only. The eVisa for the UAE is only valid at international airports .

We must remind Pakistani passport holders that the eVisa is offered for temporary visits only and cannot be used to take up any professional activity. If they are interested in relocating to the UAE for job-seeking opportunities or other long-term stays, we recommend to schedule an appointment at the Emirati Embassy in Islamabad or the Consulate in Karachi for more suitable visas.

Sub-Block TitleDo I need a Dubai visa for Pakistanis if I have the UAE eVisa?

The Dubai visit visa requirements for Pakistanis are the same as for the UAE . As Dubai is one of the Emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates, it falls under the same visa policy.

This means that the UAE eVisa is valid for trips to Dubai . If you are a Pakistani citizen traveling to Dubai, you can use the UAE online visa for your trip. The visa will automatically be valid for the other Emirates too (Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah).

Documents Required for the UAE eVisa for Pakistani Citizens

We recommend reading through the  visa requirements for Pakistanis before making any travel arrangements for the UAE. Applicants from Pakistan will find information about which countries they can visit with an electronic visa and what conditions they must meet to successfully obtain one.

The main requirements for the UAE eVisa for Pakistani petitioners include the following:

  • Possess a Pakistani passport valid for 180 days minimum on their arrival date
  • Supply a digital image of the biographical page of the passport
  • Provide a passport-style color photograph of the applicant in digital format
  • Use a credit or debit card to pay the UAE eVisa processing fee
  • Register their eVisa application with an active email address

Pakistani nationals should ensure their passport is valid for at least 6 months on the date they plan to reach the UAE. If this condition is not met, we request them to submit it for renewal at their earliest possibility.

They should possess a digital copy of their personal id photo (color and at 6 months old) plus a readable digital version of their passport’s biographical page. They should ensure their debit or credit card is activated for internet payments, and they apply with an active email address.

Visitors from Pakistan should also have their travel plans ready before they begin their eVisa form. During their petition, they should have decided to which Emirate they will fly to and their arrival date.

Application Process for the UAE eVisa for Pakistanis

The UAE application requires you to provide the following information:

  • Citizenship
  • Arrival date
  • Emirate of destination
  • Email account
  • Date of birth
  • Country of birth
  • Current profession
  • Qualifications
  • Reason for travel
  • Passport information

They will proceed by filling in their passport number, issue date, expiration, and issuing country.

It is very important to carefully review all this information before submitting the eVisa petition since any typos or mistakes could lead to a denial of their application. For their benefit, Pakistanis can also fill in the eVisa questionnaire in Arabic besides English.

Pakistani groups traveling to the UAE for a family trip can include any dependent in their eVisa application.  This includes spouses, children, or old age relatives. They will be required to share additional documentation such as marriage or birth certificates.

The eVisa petition is concluded with the payment of the processing fee . The payment is issued by a secure digital platform where most international bank cards are accepted. Pakistani applicants must simply check their cards are activated for online payments and carry sufficient funds.

Evaluation Process of the eVisa Applications by Pakistani Citizens

The Ministry of Interior of the UAE analyzes all the eVisa forms received. They usually submit a resolution to all petitions received between 1 and 3 business days . To account for possible delays during busy tourist seasons, we recommend submitting their forms at least a week before their visit.

Pakistani passport holders who have filled in their eVisa form correctly and meet the requirements will receive an approval email where they can download the granted eVisa via an accessible link. Upon receipt, we request them to print out a copy and keep it next to the rest of their documents.

Travel to the United Arab Emirates from Pakistan with the eVisa

Once granted, Pakistani nationals have 60 days to use their eVisa to enter the UAE. If they do not meet this requirement, their eVisa will not be valid, and they will need a new one. They must also plan their departure to abide by the granted 30 days for their stay.

Visitors from Pakistan should also confirm they will fly to the same Emirate airport they selected during their application process. Once they land, they are recommended to head straight to the queues reserved for eVisa Travelers of their nationality to save time during passport controls.

They will be requested to supply their passport and printed eVisa to border officials before being allowed to enter the country and enjoy their trip.

The UAE has placed no visa restrictions on Pakistanis from any cities. The Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson on Monday confirmed that the United Arab Emirates did not ban or blacklist the issuance of visas to Pakistanis belonging to specific cities.

“We have seen the reports and can confirm that no such ban is in place by UAE for issuance of visas to Pakistani citizens,” spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said.

The response came in view of the queries by journalists on reports of blacklisting or a ban by the UAE on the issuance of visas to Pakistani citizens belonging to specific cities.

The UAE also strongly denied reports of not providing visas to Pakistani citizens belonging to certain cities, terming it as “fake news”.

Consulate General of the UAE Karachi Bakheet Ateeq Al Remeithi said that the UAE government had imposed no such ban.

UAE Visa Rules Updated For Pakistan Nationals: Comply or Face Deportation

As more and more Pakistan Nationals are being denied visas to the UAE , the UAE Government has strictly Enforced Visa Acquisition for Pakistani Individuals Below 18 Years Old.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) government has recently announced its intention to enforce the law strictly regarding visa acquisition for Pakistani individuals below 18 years old. This article aims to provide comprehensive information about this regulation and the stringent actions to be taken by the UAE government, as shared by the Consul General stationed in Karachi, UAE, Atiq Bakhit al-Rumiti.

Legal Background

Federal Law No. (3) of 2016 on child rights (Wadeema’s Law) aims to protect children’s rights and ensure their welfare. This law imposes strict requirements for individuals who wish to bring their children to the UAE, including obtaining appropriate visas and meeting certain conditions related to housing, education, and health. These requirements aim to ensure that children are not subjected to any form of abuse or exploitation while residing in the UAE.

However, the Consul General of the UAE, Bakhit Atiq al-Rumiti , has revealed that a significant number of Pakistani nationals holding work visas in the Emirates are breaching laws related to children’s rights. Specifically, many Pakistani individuals are bringing their children to the UAE without obtaining the appropriate visas or meeting the necessary conditions related to housing, education, and health. This is a serious violation of Wadeema’s law and can result in significant penalties for those found to be in breach.

“As emphasized by the UAE government, strict enforcement of visa acquisition laws for individuals below 18 years old, as per Wadeema’s law, carries severe penalties such as fines, imprisonment, and deportation. Compliance with all pertinent laws and regulations is imperative for Pakistani nationals residing in the UAE to evade any legal or personal repercussions.” — Bakhit Atiq al-Rumiti, UAE Consul General

What’s the Wadeema’s Law?

Wadeema’s Law is a federal law that came into effect on June 15, 2016. The law is named after an eight-year-old Emirati girl named Wadeema, who was brutally abused and murdered by her father and his girlfriend in 2012. The law was enacted to prevent such heinous crimes against children and provide them with the protection they deserve.

The law emphasizes that all children should have access to proper living conditions, healthcare services, education, and equal opportunities in essential services and facilities without any discrimination. It also provides protection to children against any form of negligence, exploitation, or physical/psychological abuse.

The law defines child abuse as any act or omission that endangers the life, safety, health, or physical, mental, or moral development of a child. It includes physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, exploitation, and emotional abuse. The law recognizes that children are vulnerable and need to be protected from harm.

The law places a legal obligation on parents, guardians, or caregivers to provide the necessary care and protection to children under their custody. It is the responsibility of parents or guardians to ensure that children have access to education, healthcare, and other essential services. Parents or guardians who violate this law will be subject to legal action, including fines and imprisonment.

Penalties for Violation

The UAE government has made it clear that it will take stringent actions against any individuals found to be in breach of Wadeema’s law. These actions can include fines, imprisonment, and deportation. Furthermore, individuals who are found to be in breach may be prohibited from entering the UAE in the future, which can have significant consequences for their employment and personal lives.

Recommendations for Pakistani Nationals

Pakistani nationals residing in the UAE should take note of this significant announcement and ensure that they comply with all relevant laws and regulations related to visa acquisition for their children. They should obtain appropriate visas and meet all necessary conditions related to housing, education, and health. Failure to do so can result in significant penalties and can have long-lasting consequences for their personal and professional lives.

What this means for Pakistani Nationals?

The UAE has been a popular destination for Pakistani migrants due to the availability of employment opportunities and higher wages. According to recent estimates, there are currently 16 to 17 million Pakistanis living in the UAE, constituting one of the largest foreign national communities in the country. However, the UAE government has recently tightened its visa requirements for Pakistani nationals. In particular, Pakistani nationals seeking to obtain new visas must provide assurance that they will fully adhere to UAE laws in the future.

Reasons for Visa Rejections for Pakistani Nationals

There are several reasons behind the recent immigration regulations imposed by the UAE government. Over the years, there has been a rise in criminal activities involving Pakistani nationals in the UAE. Reports indicate that Pakistanis are involved in drug trafficking, money laundering, and other forms of illegal activities. Such activities have tarnished the image of Pakistanis in the eyes of the UAE government and its citizens.

Implications for Pakistani

The recent immigration regulations have significant implications for Pakistanis seeking to migrate to the UAE. Pakistani nationals seeking to obtain new visas must provide assurance that they will fully adhere to UAE laws in the future. This means that Pakistanis will need to provide evidence of their good conduct and character, including their employment history, educational qualifications, and criminal record. Pakistani nationals will also need to demonstrate their ability to support themselves financially while in the UAE.

The UAE government is committed to ensuring that children in the UAE have access to their fundamental rights. Wadeema’s Law provides protection to children against any form of abuse or neglect. It emphasizes the importance of providing children with proper living conditions, healthcare services, education, and equal opportunities. Parents or guardians who violate this law will face legal action, including fines and imprisonment. It is the responsibility of all members of society to ensure that children are protected and their rights are upheld.

Minimum bank statement for New Zealand visit visa from Pakistan – April 2024

Pakistanis intending to visit New Zealand for tourism or short-term study purposes must obtain a visitor visa beforehand, as entry into the Oceania country is not permitted without it.

The visitor visa allows a stay of up to six months on a multiple-entry visa or nine months on a single-entry visa. However, employment is not permitted, although short-term study for up to three months is allowed.

Identity Proof

When applying for a New Zealand visitor visa, applicants must furnish all necessary documents to support their application. These include proof of identity, such as one acceptable photo for online applications or two photos for paper applications, along with a passport or certificate of identity.

Additionally, a medical certificate demonstrating good health and a police character certificate are required. Proof of return ticket and accommodation, such as hotel bookings, is also mandatory.

Minimum Bank Statement for New Zealand Visit Visa

Financial documentation is crucial for the visa application process. Applicants must show they have enough funds to sustain themselves while in New Zealand.

The minimum financial requirement is NZD $1,000 per month, or NZD $400 per month if accommodation expenses are already covered. This can be proved through bank statements, credit card statements, or accommodation pre-payment receipts.

Authorities may also inquire about the source of funds. For instance, for a three-month stay without prepaid accommodation, a minimum of NZD $3,000 must be available in the applicant’s bank account, which translates to approximately PKR 502,890 based on the current exchange rate of NZD $1 = PKR 167.63.

Applicants are also obligated to declare their willingness to cover any medical expenses incurred during their stay in New Zealand.

Regarding visa processing times, the New Zealand immigration website states that 80 percent of visa applications are processed within four weeks.

This timeline provides applicants with an idea of when to expect a decision on their visa application, allowing for better planning of travel arrangements.

Saudi Vision 2030: Challenging misconceptions about women’s rights

Opinion columnists.

The country is making significant strides in advancing women’s rights

200930 Saudi bikes

In the ever-evolving landscape of global affairs, Saudi Arabia’s recent assumption of the chairmanship of the Commission on the Status of Women stands as a significant milestone in the kingdom’s journey toward advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment on a global scale.

This move, however, has not been devoid of controversy and skepticism, particularly from certain quarters of biased Western media, who have labeled it as ‘Womenwashing,’ drawing parallels to previous unfounded accusations of ‘sportswashing’ against Saudi Arabia.

Yet, amid the cacophony of criticism and misperceptions, it’s crucial to delve deeper into Saudi Arabia’s genuine commitment to promoting women’s rights and empowerment, which remains steadfast and unwavering. The kingdom has consistently demonstrated its readiness to collaborate with the international community in advancing women’s rights, as exemplified by its leadership role in the Commission.

This leadership position not only underscores Saudi Arabia’s determination to drive positive change but also reflects its desire to foster inclusivity and equality on the global stage.

At the helm of this transformative journey are Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and King Salman, whose visionary leadership has charted a bold course with Saudi Vision 2030. This ambitious reform agenda encompasses a wide array of initiatives aimed at diversifying the economy, enhancing global competitiveness, and fostering social development.

From substantial investments in professional sports leagues to groundbreaking reforms in various sectors, Saudi Arabia’s commitment to creating opportunities and driving progress across different facets of society is palpable.

SAUDI VISION 2030

Protecting rights and dignity

Despite the persistent scrutiny and criticism, the strides made by Saudi women in recent years are undeniable. Breaking barriers in diplomacy, assuming leadership roles in major corporations, and actively participating in various fields, Saudi women are playing an integral role in propelling the nation forward and reshaping societal norms. Moreover, legal reforms aimed at protecting the rights and dignity of divorced women underscore Saudi Arabia’s dedication to upholding equality for all its citizens.

While the path to progress may sometimes seem gradual, Saudi society is undergoing a profound transformation, marked by increasing opportunities and inclusivity for women. Long-term residents and observers alike bear witness to the remarkable shifts occurring, fueled by a collective determination to embrace progress and build a more prosperous and equitable future for all.

As Saudi Arabia continues on its trajectory of reform and modernisation, it extends an open invitation to skeptics and critics to engage in constructive dialogue and witness firsthand the remarkable transformations underway. By fostering open dialogue and understanding, the kingdom aims to bridge the gap between perception and reality and showcase its genuine commitment to women’s empowerment and societal advancement on a global stage.

  • From Barcelona to New York: A global epidemic of tourist misconduct
  • Blinken’s broken vows as Gaza teeters on brink of famine
  • America’s political chaos and race to the White House

However, this journey toward progress is not without its challenges and complexities. The transition toward a more inclusive and equitable society requires concerted efforts, not only from the government but also from civil society, the private sector, and the international community as a whole. It necessitates a nuanced approach that acknowledges the cultural, social, and historical contexts within which these reforms are taking place.

Moreover, it’s essential to recognise that meaningful change takes time. While Saudi Arabia has made significant strides in recent years, there is still much work to be done to address systemic barriers and entrenched inequalities. This requires sustained commitment, dialogue, and collaboration at all levels of society.

Saudi Arabia’s leadership in the Commission on the Status of Women represents a pivotal moment in the kingdom’s ongoing commitment to advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment. Despite the challenges and criticisms, the kingdom remains resolute in its pursuit of progress and inclusivity. By fostering open dialogue, embracing diversity, and championing the rights of all its citizens, Saudi Arabia is laying the foundation for a more prosperous and equitable future for generations to come.

I invite all those overseas doubters in the media to visit the country and witness with their eyes the changes before drumming up charges of women washing from their cubbyholes back home based on slanted versions in their press. That would indeed mouthwash their unfair charges.

Thailand’s Same-Sex Marriage Bill Advances Further After First Senate Nod

Activists Waddao Chumaporn, right, and Chanya Rattanatada at Thai Parliament in Bangkok, on April 2.

Thailand’s Senate sent a same-sex marriage bill previously cleared by the lower house to a panel for further scrutiny, as the Southeast Asian nation seeks to become the region’s first to guarantee equal rights for gay and lesbian couples.

The bill cleared the first reading at a Senate sitting on Tuesday with 147 out of 158 members voting in support of the so-called marriage equality bill, technically an amendment to the country’s Civil and Commercial Code. The upper house then set up a 27-member committee that includes senators, civil society and ministers to review the bill. Senators are expected to vote on the bill again in July, when the parliament reconvenes following a recess that begins next week.
