This 3-minute treatment gave me smoother and softer skin

versed doctor's visit mask review

Between the viral dolphin skin trend and the growing popularity of slugging , one thing has become clear: Everyone is after that smooth, dewy glass skin look.

And while TikTok users seem to have discovered a few different ways to achieve it, I couldn't help but be amazed when I saw @_aishanuuur's video showing her results after using the Versed Doctor's Visit Instant Resurfacing Mask. The same could be said for the millions of viewers who also watched the video and helped make the mask go viral late last year. People were astonished by the dewy glow that she got from the treatment. One commenter even compared her skin to a "glazed donut" — in a good way.

"We have achieved that all-over glass face that I have been trying to achieve for such a long time," Nur said in the clip. Her post inspired other users to try the mask and share their own thoughts. "This left my skin so glowy and smooth, I was obsessed," another TikToker said.

Given all that, I couldn't wait to try it for myself. And once I did, it wasn't hard to see why it was getting so much hype.

Versed Doctor’s Visit Instant Resurfacing Face Mask

versed doctor's visit mask review

It gave me softer and smoother skin

The mask has a few key ingredients that can help smooth and rejuvenate skin, according to the brand. It features AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids), like glycolic and lactic acids, which experts say can help improve the tone and texture of the skin and improve the appearance of sun spots and pigmentation. It also includes the BHA (beta hydroxy acid), salicylic acid, which dermatologists say is helpful for cleansing skin and unclogging pores. Along with the acids, the mask also contains pineapple and papaya enzymes, which are said to be rich in vitamin C and help with the exfoliating process.

I've been using the mask regularly for a few weeks now and can attest to its exfoliation abilities. The instructions say to only leave it on for two to three minutes, which doesn't seem like a lot of time, but it's clearly long enough for it to work its magic. While the initial effects aren't super noticeable, when I wipe it off, I do see a slight difference in the overall texture of my skin — it looks smoother and my pores appear smaller .

The real benefits show up the next day. I usually apply it right before bed (as the brand suggests), and when I wake up, I notice that my skin not only feels smoother, but my complexion is brighter and more even. And while it doesn't totally clear up my breakouts (a girl can only dream!), I feel like it helps reduce the redness around them, making them less noticeable.

versed doctor's visit mask review

Shop Pros use this makeup hack to eliminate dark circles, cover redness and more

Sadly, I didn't get anywhere close to the dewy glow that I had hoped I would get after seeing the initial TikTok. But even though I didn't end up looking like a glazed doughnut, my face definitely felt more hydrated.

The texture is super satisfying

When I first opened up the tub, I was shocked by the texture of the mask. Unlike other ones that I've tried that had a cream or gel-like consistency, this one both looked and felt like jelly (and while that might not sound appealing, I was kind of obsessed). The jiggly formula applies smoothly and feels slightly cooling as I spread it over my skin.

The refreshing feeling is enough to make me want to use it every day, but because of its exfoliating abilities, the brand recommends only using it once per week. Between this guidance and only really needing to use a little product at a time (the directions suggest a "thin" layer), I've barely made a dent since I started using it. So, I imagine that one tub of the $18 product will last for a while.

Because my skin doesn't always react well to intense exfoliation, I've been careful not to exceed the recommended usage. In fact, Versed says that the mask isn't for those with sensitive skin. Since my skin usually veers in that direction, I did a patch test first to see how it would react. After multiple uses, I have yet to experience any issues.

The brand also recommends avoiding other skin care acids and retinoids for 24 hours both before and after application. I use a gentle retinol product a few times a week, so I've been making sure to skip it on nights when I plan to use the mask.

Shop TikTokers are using this drugstore find in place of expensive eye creams — here’s why

Reviewers say it helps with fine lines and hyperpigmentation.

Plenty of reviewers with a range of skin care issues, from acne to hyperpigmentation have raved about the results that they've noticed after using the formula.

"I’m in love with how this makes my skin feel," wrote one reviewer , who discovered the mask on TikTok. "I have really thick, mixed skin with large [pores] and [a] pale complexion. Oily-dry combination. This has made my dry patches feel more hydrated and my face just feel ... tighter. Does not irritate my sensitive allergy-prone areas."

Another reviewer said, "it works like magic," and also added that it is the perfect price. "I’m impressed and beyond shocked [at] how smooth and soft my face feels," they wrote . "I had bumps on each side of my nose for years and no exfoliating, mask, or different products helped. Only one use of this cream smoothed the area instantly."

The brand boldly claims that the mask delivers "pro-grade results you don’t need an appointment for." While my results won't have me skipping my dermatology appointments any time soon, it does make enough of a difference that I feel more confident about my skin after using it. And that's a major win in my book!

Ultimately, though, Versed aims to work for all skin types and budgets (every product is under $25). Given the brand's massive amount of success on social media, they're all about listening to their online communities. "Quite simply, every single product launched gets approved by the community," says Versed's Vice President of Marketing, Lindsey Kracum. "We are constantly engaging with our community across multiple platforms and touch-points to ensure we’re developing products that suit their wants and needs."

But, the products aren't just clean formulas wrapped in pretty packaging (though they are that, in addition to much more). In fact, Kracum says that the very brand name "Versed" comes from the fact that they're actually, simply just well-versed in skincare. "Dermatologist approval carries a lot of weight when it comes to our community's skincare decisions," she says. "Versed has our own Dermatologist Advisory Board, where dermatologists test our formulas and provide feedback during the innovation process."

So, the bestselling Versed products below aren't just tried and tested by us WH editors—they're loved by dermatologists, too. See below for our honest thoughts on bestselling products from the brand.

Packed with AHAs, BHAs, enzymes, and vitamin C, this mask is meant to exfoliate the skin while infusing it with brightening ingredients. But, it's meant to do all of that without drying the skin out.

Editor Review: "I have dry skin but I also suffer from hyperpigmentation, so I get nervous about trying out products that promise a lot of heavy exfoliation. First off, the jelly-like consistency felt so cooling and soothing on my skin. And, I love that I only had to keep it on for a few minutes, so I can easily do this in the morning before putting on makeup. It left my skin feeling brighter and super hydrated. I'm super picky about the masks I like to use, but this is a standby on my vanity now." — Neha Tandon, WH senior commerce editor

If you've spent any amount of time trying to curate your own skincare routine, you know all about the benefits of retinol . Meant to increase skin cell production, in this eye cream, it's supposed to smooth out fine lines and increase collagen production. While the ingredient can be drying, this formula is also infused with hydrating and nourishing vitamin E .

Editor Review: "Being Indian, my dark circles are genetic, and it's near impossible to find a product that can hydrate my dry skin while also brightening that sensitive under-eye area. Till now, the only thing that's ever worked was the Kiehl's Avocado Eye Cream. While I've kept that as my day eye cream, this is now my holy grail nighttime eye cream. The balm-like formula feels so luxurious on that sensitive area under my eyes, and that hydration alone makes the area look a bit brighter." — Neha Tandon, WH senior commerce editor

One of the most popular products from the brand, Versed's Dew Point Moisturizer has an ultra lightweight gel-cream formula that can be attributed to the aloe leaf juice in the formula. And ICYMI, aloe is an antibacterial ingredient that can be great for treating acne, but it's also known to give skin a serious glow.

Editor Review: "When the warm weather rolls around, I look for a bouncy, lightweight cream that doesn't clog my pores, and Versed's Moisturizing Gel Cream is my perfect fit. I love that it leaves my skin feeling dewy and refreshed—never heavy and greasy—and that it's cooling when it touches the skin. It also wears perfectly under makeup, and it holds on tight to your glam for all-day wear." — Lily Wohlner, WH associate commerce editor

Cleansing balms (and cleansers in general) are hard to master. Clean formulas tend to not get all your waterproof makeup off, and they can leave behind a greasy residue. On the other hand, more aggressive formulas will get all your makeup off, but they make leave your skin feeling dry and stripped of its good, natural oils. Enter: the Day Dissolve Cleansing Balm.

The buttery soft formula is infused with clarifying ingredients like eucalyptus oil, and it's designed not to leave any residue behind on your skin.

Editor Review: "I absolutely loved how silky soft this texture felt. It was actually like a cross between butter and silk. It didn't really get my waterproof makeup off, though. I think this is great for low-makeup days or times I'm not wearing waterproof mascara. It didn't leave any gross film on my skin, which is a worry of mine with clean formulas. I also think I'd use it as a regular lightweight cleanser in the morning when I'm not taking off any makeup." — Neha Tandon, WH senior commerce editor

One of the pricier items from Versed, this is another one that TikTok beauty gurus love to rave about. The bronze glow drops come in two shades: bronzed and golden. Both feature a water-like consistency in a handy dropper formula, infused with hyaluronic acid and antioxidants.

Editor Review: "Since I have a naturally darker skin tone, I get hesitant about the bronzing products that get TikTok-famous, since most of them just end up being my actual skin tone. But, I actually tried both shades (even the one that was technically lighter than my skin tone), and they both looked amazing . I used way too much product at first, because a little seriously goes a long way (the instructions said to use one to two drops, and I ignored them—whoops). It added the most stunning glow to my face. It's my new favorite product to add to my cheekbones or even whole face when I really want some glow. I also love that it has hyaluronic acid in it, since I have dryer skin. I do think it would be a bit much for anyone with oily or combo skin, though." — Neha Tandon, WH senior commerce editor

Made with both chemical and physical exfoliants, Versed's body scrub has dozens of five-star reviews online from people who swear by it for making their shower feel like a spa, making their legs feel super smooth. It aims to smooth out strawberry legs, too.

Editor Review: "I really swear I wanted to like this, but nothing seems to be a match for my ultra-stubborn coarse South Asian hair and strawberry legs. That said, I think this is great for anyone who has more fine hair on their body. I loved the fine texture of the scrub, and it was a nice exfoliator to use pre-shave, but it just didn't really do anything outstanding or unique for me." — Neha Tandon, WH senior commerce editor

If you don't have any particularly aggressive skincare concerns, it can be hard to incorporate a retinol into your routine like everyone seems to be saying you should. That's where Versed's gentle retinol serum comes into play. The derm-approved formula is specifically designed for sensitive skin types to be non-irritating—it's a great starter retinol product if you simply want to prevent fine lines from appearing.

Editor Review: "At 26, I've only recently started to notice fine lines on my forehead and around my eyes and mouth, so I've been dabbling in retinol serums trying to find one that works well with my skin. (I tend to have drier skin which retinols can make worse). I love this serum because it felt moisturizing and gentle on my skin. I noticed my skin looked more hydrated and luminous after using it (rather than drier/redder, which sometimes happens with retinols)." — Currie Engel, WH associate news editor

Body acne isn't just normal—it's super common, too. Whether you have it on your butt, back, or waist, it can be just as hard to treat as the acne you may get on your face. Versed's answer to that is this body mist infused with antibacterial witch hazel , acne-fighting salicylic acid , and clarifying tea tree oil .

Editor Review: "Wow, ok. I think I may have just FINALLY found the solution to the pesky bumps I get on my bikini line. I do occasionally get bumps on my butt, and this definitely helped smooth those out, but the more outstanding benefit was the way in which this soothed my razor burn I get around my bikini line. I have pretty coarse hair, and this totally soothed the pain and discomfort I get after shaving there. I apply it right after shaving, every time I get out of the shower, and before bed. I love the easy continuous spray nozzle, and that the formula is super lightweight (like water), but still nourishing and hydrating." — Neha Tandon, WH senior commerce editor

I know you may be thinking, "Who needs another basic sunscreen?" but, it's honestly a hard product to master. Some can leave a greasy residue on the skin, and others often leave behind a white cast on darker skin tones. Versed promises that their mineral, reef-safe formula won't leave a cast, and that it'll work for every skin tone and shade. It's supposedly the Goldilocks of SPFs—not too matte, but not too glowy, either.

Editor Review: "This sunscreen doesn't leave a white cast at all. It blends so smoothy into my skin, and the fragrance is super light. It doesn't feel like I'm caking something on, and it doesn't make me look oily. I'm always skeptical about buying mineral sunscreens because so many brands swear there's no white cast when there is but this one delivers on that. Once I'm done with this one, I'll definitely buy another one." — Sabrina Talbert, WH editorial assistant

Anyone with a full-time job, trying to have a social life while fitting in workouts and cooking, all while doing laundry in between? Same, which is why I'll beam at any product that promises a shortcut. Versed's aptly-named overnight facial has lactic and glycolic acid in it, two chemical exfoliants that are meant to brighten the skin, so you should wake up with a brighter, more radiant complexion.

Editor Review: "I love the ingredients in this formula, and it felt really nice and lightweight. While it definitely did make me wake up with bright skin, it also dried me out a bit, too. I feel like this would be perfect for someone with combo or oily skin who wants an overnight glow-up. I tried applying an oil on top of this, but that made the product pill a bit. I think my friends with hyperpigmentation and combo skin will totally love it, since I definitely saw some brightening benefits in just two nights of use." — Neha Tandon, WH senior commerce editor

Versed Instant Gratification At-Home Dermaplaning Tool

Instant Gratification At-Home Dermaplaning Tool

Face razors are all the rage here at Women's Health , and our derms love dermaplaning tools for all the skincare benefits they offer, too. The face on your hair is totally normal and natural, but an at-home dermaplaner is great if you want to get rid of that hair or if you simply want a smoother palette for your skincare or makeup to go on top of. Versed's tool offers a nice, thick handle to allow your hand control as you use the blade.

Editor Review: "I'm obsessed with dermaplaning, but a lot of the at-home tools can be a bit flimsy and have cheap blades that feel really rough on the skin—I've definitely had close calls with cutting myself on cheaper drugstore options before. I love how thick this handle is and how long the blade on this is. I get more surface area in one swipe, and the handle allows a lot of control. To be super honest, the first time I used this, the razor head I was using actually broke off the handle, but that's why I like that the heads are super easily replaceable. I used this for about a month and never had an issue after that first time." — Neha Tandon, WH senior commerce editor

Versed Weekend Glow Daily Brightening Solution

Weekend Glow Daily Brightening Solution

Who doesn't perk up at the word "glow" in a skincare product? Since this toning solution is one of the first steps in your skincare routine (after cleanser), it's really meant to penetrate your pores with a vitamin C and AHA-infused formula designed to brighten the skin. Hundreds of reviewers with larger pores like that this really helps to unclog their skin, too.

Editor Review: "I really liked this. It didn't break me out and I have very sensitive skin. I'm not sure if the ingredients are really beneficial or if it brightened or improved my skin at all, but it made my face feel very cool in the morning before applying skincare products." — Addison Aloian, WH editorial assistant

Versed Total Package Replenishing Body Lotion SPF 30

Total Package Replenishing Body Lotion SPF 30

One of their newest releases, Versed's body lotion with SPF is ultra affordable at $20 for a big six oz. bottle. Designed to be ultra hydrating yet non-greasy, the formula contains nourishing cupuaçu butter and grapeseed oil to make sure your skin won't dry out while you lay in the sun. Even then, they claim to have a non-greasy formula—a seriously hard thing to achieve in an SPF.

Editor Review: "The first time I used this, I felt worried because it had that sticky sunblock feel that I’m not a fan of. But once it’s rubbed on, it feels weightless and a bit smoother. If you touch your skin, you can sort of tell where you’ve applied it, which makes me feel like it’s doing it’s job and allows me to easily see where I should apply (or reapply) more SPF." —

Drugstore Delight: Versed Doctor’s Visit Instant Resurfacing Mask

Skincare | October 14, 2020

Versed Doctor's Visit Mask

If you love a good drugstore buy like I do, there’s some seriously exciting news for you! Versed skincare has just launched a new facial peel (under $20) that promises pro-grade results in just two minutes — without any irritation!

Enter: Versed Doctor’s Visit Instant Resurfacing Mask

Versed Doctor’s Visit Instant Resurfacing Mask

This weekly resurfacing facial peel features a blend of both AHAs and BHAs (like skin-brightening glycolic acid, texture-smoothing lactic acid, and breakout-clearing salicylic acid), as well as enzymes derived from pineapples and papaya which are packed with the skin-brightening all-star vitamin C.

Product Description

Pro-grade results you don’t need an appointment for—just two minutes!

A literal pot of gold featuring a triple-threat of AHA, BHA, and enzyme exfoliation, it tackles hyperpigmentation and boosts cell turnover to reveal a brighter, smoother and clear complexion. The lactic and glycolic acids dissolve dull, dead skin and help fade dark spots, while salicylic acid minimizes the appearance of pores and redness.

And that instant glow is all thanks to vitamin C-rich pineapple and papaya enzymes, which gently remove the outer layer of dead skin cells that trap bacteria and sebum to clarify, rejuvenate and soften skin.

No tingling, no burning, just a post-facial glow in a flash with results that build week after week.

Non-Toxic | Vegan | Cruelty-Free

Versed Doctor’s Visit Instant Resurfacing Mask Review

As you might know, I am not new to at-home facial peels. I have tried quite a few different ones, from the cult-favorite Baby Facial from Drunk Elephant to a professional strength intensive chemical peel and more!

The main reason I was drawn to Versed Doctor’s Visit Mask (and purchased it as soon as it was released on their website!) is that it needs only 2 minutes to work (instant gratification, yes please!) Not to mention, it also claims “no tingling, no burning” which I found to be true!

Versed Doctor’s Visit Mask Review

Versed Doctor’s Visit Mask has a lumpy jelly texture that applies easily like a light gel (check out the bouncy texture in my Instagram video below!) You just need to apply a thin, even layer to clean, dry skin and then rinse with cool water after 2-3 minutes.

True to its claims, this facial peel is gentle and doesn’t cause any discomfort or stinging, unlike some of the other glycolic acid peels I’ve used. It doesn’t bother me at all while on my face, nor does it leave my skin red or irritated.

Versed Doctor’s Visit Mask texture

The directions clearly state NOT to leave it on for more than 3 minutes, and avoid using other acid-based products or retinol for 24 hours before and after each use.

If you are new to facial peels, you might experience slight tingling with this product. And skin may look slightly pink afterwards, but don’t freak out—that’s normal and should subside quickly.

However, if your skin is on the sensitive side, Versed Doctor’s Visit Mask may not be right for you. A more mild option like The Shortcut Overnight Peel would probably be better.

This Buzzy Product Promises to Give You the Results Of A Facial At Home

Maxine Eggenberger

As soon as winter rolls around, it seems that everyone begins experiencing the same skin complaint: dullness. Achieving that coveted glow during the summer months is difficult enough, but in winter it's even harder to obtain.

With weather extremes and temperature changes to contend with, your skin faces more stresses. Some will find their skin becomes dry and irritated, which can lead to seasonal flare-ups of hyperpigmentation, rosacea, eczema, and psoriasis. It's critical, then, to nourish and revitalise your skin. That's where Versed's Doctor's Visit Instant Resurfacing Mask  (£17) comes in.

versed-doctors-visit-instant-resurfacing-mask-289870-1604076848389-image

By now, you'll already be familiar with our beautiful sister brand,  Versed . Not only are the products affordable (every single item is under £18), but the sustainably sourced, vegan, cruelty-free, results-driven skincare buys are also essentially everything you need to ensure your skin looks its best year-round. Still, its latest addition, the jelly-like Doctor's Visit Mask, surpasses even our highest expectations.

Versed + Doctor's Visit Instant Resurfacing Mask

Best described as a salon-grade facial in a tub, beauty emporium Cult Beauty described it as "a literal pot of gold." Here's why.  Featuring a triple threat of AHA, BHA, and enzyme exfoliation, it tackles the aforementioned effects of hyperpigmentation and boosts cell turnover for brighter, smoother, rejuvenated skin. The lactic and glycolic acids dissolve dull, dead skin and help fade dark spots, while salicylic acid minimises the appearance of pores and redness. And that instant glow is all thanks to vitamin C–rich pineapple and papaya enzymes, which gently remove the outer layer of dead skin cells that trap bacteria and sebum, all the while moisturising and softening skin.

Versed + Doctor's Visit Instant Resurfacing Mask

Like the rest of the Versed skincare collection , the Doctor's Visit Mask is vegan, cruelty-free, and clean. It's as safe as it is effective. That means no tingling and no burning, just a post-facial glow in a flash with results that build. Oh, and did we mention you only need to apply it once a week for just a few short minutes to see these impressive results?

To reap the Doctor's Visit Mask's  benefits, apply a thin, even layer to clean, dry skin. Leave it on the skin for two to three minutes, then rinse it off with cool water. Its potency means it shouldn't be used for longer than three minutes tops and that you should avoid using other acid-based products and retinoids for 24 hours before and after each use to allow your skin time to adjust from the treatment. Once a week is all you need, and you'll soon start to see noticeable results.

Versed + Doctor's Visit Instant Resurfacing Mask

As with any new product, we always recommend doing a patch test on your arm before you use this mask. Your skin is yours and yours alone, so what works for someone else mightn't be what's right for you. Still, we're pretty confident that once you've got the green light, this will become a staple in your skincare regimen.

Versed / InStyle

Trying new skincare products is a risky business. You never know if they will help your complexion , make it worse, or do virtually nothing. Out of the slew of products available, I have the biggest trust issues with face masks. There have been countless times I’ve wasted money on ones that made false claims, and I’ve also fallen for poor-quality masks (just because they had cute packaging and cost less than $5), only to break out after a “self-care night.”

If you’ve gone down a similar path or are simply looking for an effective face mask to revive your skin, I finally found one worth buying and adding to your weekly routine. The Versed Doctor's Visit Resurfacing Face Mask , which went viral on TikTok for leaving people’s skin looking like glass, is essentially an at-home facial that takes just three minutes once a week. It’s become one of the only face masks I’ll continue to have on hand.

Versed Doctor's Visit Resurfacing Face Mask

As a shopping editor, I’m constantly testing out skincare products and decided to give the resurfacing face mask a try because, with a name like Doctor’s Visit, I was hopeful that it wouldn’t fall under the same category as other not-so-effective face masks.

The face mask is formulated with AHA, BHA, and enzyme exfoliation to combat hyperpigmentation; glycolic, salicylic, and lactic acids to help shed dead skin cells and reduce the appearance of pores; and vitamin C to brighten and plump the skin. And thankfully, this one actually does what it’s designed to do.

Due to its laundry list of top-notch ingredients, I figured it would either leave my skin feeling and looking the same as before or preferably make it look brighter, smoother, and glowy, as the brand promises. Fortunately, the latter happened, and the results were better than I expected. It took just two minutes of the mask soaking into my freshly cleansed skin to make it look flawless, and it just keeps getting brighter, plumper, and clearer with each use.

And I’m not the only one who loves the Doctor’s Visit face mask . It has hundreds of five-star reviews on the brand’s site, with many shoppers seeing immediate visible results, including a 65-year-old customer who noticed their “dark spots fading” after three uses. Also within three applications of the mask, one reviewer shared that they found “results comparable to professional peels [they’ve] done,” and another gushed that their “friends have asked what procedure [they’ve] had done.”

Don’t wait any longer to incorporate an at-home facial into your skincare routine. Add the Versed Doctor's Visit Resurfacing Face Mask to your cart, and keep scrolling to see more best-selling products from the brand.

Product summary

"Versed Skin - Doctor's Visit Instant Resurfacing Mask" is effective for: Evens skin tone , Anti-blemish , Anti-aging , Exfoliation and Moisturizing

Ingredient callouts

  • Exfoliating acids in a high total concentration (glycolic acid 4.20% - 6.40% and lactic acid 5.10% - 7.60%). This is a strong peel. It removes the top layer of the dead skin cells, revealing a "fresher" skin. It can also have an anti-aging effect and stimulate collagen production in a long-run. But we recommend to use this product with caution to avoid over-exfoliation (no more than 1-2x a week). Over-exfoliation can seriously damage your skin barrier and lead to sensitivity and even trigger pigmentation issues. PHAs (gluconolactone 0.05% - 0.15%) in this product are milder exfoliators. In addition to exfoliation, they also help skin hydration.
  • Salicylic acid (1.25% - 2.50%). This is an oil-soluble exfoliating acid. Because of this property, it can work inside pores and help reduce the congestion. It has an anti-inflammatory effect and is used to treat acne. Because it is a quite strong exfoliator, be careful with using this product too often: it could result in over-exfoliation.
  • Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) at about 1.60% - 2.40% concentration. In this concentration, Panthenol works effectively to improve the skin barrier and reduce inflammation.
  • Humectants (biosaccharide gum-1 0.10% - 0.35%, inositol 0.10% - 0.50%, sodium acetylated hyaluronate 0.15% - 0.65%, sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer 0.20% - 0.75%, sodium hyaluronate 0.30% - 0.75%, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid 0.45% - 1.05%, glycerin 1.30% - 2.00%, panthenol 1.60% - 2.40% and lactic acid 5.10% - 7.60%). These ingredients help attract water to the upper layer of the skin and improve the skin hydration.

About the brand

According to Cruelty-Free Kitty "Versed Skin" is cruelty free and so is its parent company.

The product retails from 17.99$ up to 18.99$ in the United States, for 45.99CA$ in Canada and for 57.50A$ in Australia.

What can the product work for?

What does the product description say.

The glycolic and lactic acids dissolve dull, dead skin and help fade dark spots, while salicylic acid minimizes the appearance of pores and redness.

This product can help reduce breakouts and clogged pores because it contains the following ingredient: salicylic acid. This ingredient is used for treating acne and can have a noticeable effect.

The following ingredient (ingredients) in this product might be helpful, but there is no evidence to confirm that it actually works: glycolic acid

A literal pot of gold that contains a triple-threat of AHAs, BHA, and enzymes, it tackles hyperpigmentation, smooths surface texture and boosts cell turnover for brighter, more youthful skin.

This product can help reduce and prevent fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin elasticity and firmness because it contains glycolic acid.

These ingredients in the product can also be helpful, even though there is less evidence for their effectiveness: lactic acid.

Keep in mind that it typically takes at least 6 weeks to notice any results because the changes that are needed to improve fine lines and elasticity happen in the deeper layers of the skin. No topical anti-aging product can “erase” wrinkles or fully reverse signs of aging.

A literal pot of gold featuring a triple-threat of AHA, BHA, and enzyme exfoliation, this resurfacing mask tackles hyperpigmentation and boosts cell turnover for brighter, smoother, rejuvenated skin.

This product can help reduce hypepigmentation and even out the skin tone because it contains the following effective ingredients: glycolic acid, lactic acid, salicylic acid

Keep in mind that you would need to apply any topical skincare targetted at hypigmentation consistently for a couple of months to get a result. No topical skincare product can help get rid of hyperpigmentation (including post-acne marks and age spots) instantly.

This product can help exfoliate the skin. In other words, it helps break down the bonds between dead cells on the surface of the skin and speed up the skin turnover. Skin often appears softer and brighter after exfoliation, but overdoing it can result in disrupted skin barrier. The following ingredient is doing the exfoliating job in this product: glycolic acid, lactic acid, salicylic acid.

And that instant glow is all thanks to vitamin C-rich pineapple and papaya enzymes, which gently remove the outer layer of dead skin cells that trap bacteria and sebum, all the while moisturizing and softening skin.

This product contains good ingredients to attract water to the upper layer of the skin. These ingredients are called "humectants": biosaccharide gum-1, glycerin.

When humectants are on the surface of the skin, they “pull in” the moisture from the outside environment, or from within deeper layers of the skin. If the air is dry, humectants can speed up the moisture loss from the skin. This is why it is a good idea to use another product on top of this one to help "seal in" the moisture (look for ingredients like dimethicone, squalane, oils and butters).

The following ingredients in this product are especially good for supporting the skin barrier and helping with the hydration level: panthenol

Great instant brightening mask

This mask is great at instantly brightening the skin and improving the skin’s texture. Also, I have sensitive skin and whilst this does leave me with some redness (almost all products do) it doesn’t cause longer term irritation or upset my skin.

Was this helpful?

Wouldn’t repurchase

I had my eye on this for awhile as I heard it was good for hyperpigmentation which I have a lot of on my dark skin tone. I feel like I’ve used this consistently and I’m just not noticing any changes over time now. It’s also really inconvenient to apply. The texture is like jelly that falls apart and it doesn’t come with a brush. So putting it on your face is very messy and fiddly.

This mask is very unusual, however it does work and I feel like my skin looks smoother

Incredible face mask

This is so good at helping even out skin texture! Haven’t had any issues with burning or irritation and am on my second tub.

For the glass look

For the people who love their glass skin i highly recommend you keep it on your skin for a few mins like a face mask the moment u wash it off it gives u that shine and glow you been wanting. I love the packaging too the colours so unique.

Nice and quick

Really enjoy this mask, when I need something nice and quick

Facial in under 3 minutes!

Gentle yet deeply effective facial treatment! Delightful texture.

Versed Mask

Love this mask! Doesn’t irritate at all and leaves skin feeling really soft, has really helped with textured skin and oil regulation.

repurchased!!

i had to repurchase this as it’s such a good ((but strong)) exfoliating mask. it really is resurfacing which is great as i have a lot of marks on my skin and it makes my complexion so much brighter. 10//10 recommend

Great quality at an affordable price, does it`s job well.

About this item

  • At Home Facial - This 2-minute face exfoliator features a mix of aha bha and exfoliating enzymes that smooths surface texture and boosts cell turnover for brighter, more youthful skin. No tingling, no burning, just a post-facial glow in a flash with results that build week after week.
  • Dissolve Dull Skin - Glycolic acid and lactic acid help brighten skin and fade blemish spots while salicylic acid minimizes the appearance of pores and redness.
  • Buildable Brightness - This instant glow is all thanks to vitamin C rich pineapple and papaya enzymes, which gently remove the outer layer of dead skin cells that trap bacteria, while moisturizing and softening skin. The best part? Watching the results build week after week.
  • How to Use - Apply a thin, even layer of this brightening mask to clean, dry skin and rinse with cool water after 2-3 minutes. Do not leave on for more than 3 minutes, and avoid using other acid-based products and retinoids for 24 hours before and after each use. Use once a week, ideally at night, after cleansing (and toning) but before moisturizing.
  • High Performance, Not Hype - High-performance skin care products with a purpose. With clean, proven ingredients at skin-changing levels, our face exfoliant delivers results that warrant restocking.
