Great place for a good rest.”

A simple and rustic inn/backpacker with very friendly and helpful staff. My room was clean and the shared bathrooms are conveniently located on the same floor. Bathrooms are cleaned daily and the hot showers are so soothing on cold mornings. The reading area leading to the balcony is a great place to catch up on light reading and one can enjoy the cool and fresh air out on the balcony. The kitchen is clean and well equipped and one just have to buy groceries just a few doors away to prepare one's meals. There are also big fridges to store your eggs and sausages. The inn/backpacker is easily accessible by bus and is within walking distance to the Central Market. There is also a free City Connector bus just about 100 meters from the inn. Getting to the airport is also convenient. Just hop on the Free City Connector bus (Clockwise) and change to Bus J1 (Glenelg) at Bus Stop W1. The J1 bus will take you straight to the Adelaide Airport Bus Stop 10. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Adelaide.

Though the building at this budget hostel in Adelaide might not be all that we kinda like the retro vibes. Though the decor is a little… dated. And basic. Nonetheless, the staff are decent, the general atmosphere is quiet and chill, and it’s definitely got a friendly vibe, too.

The location is great, in the southeast corner of Adelaide’s CBD, which means you can roll outta bed and go for a stroll in the park to nurse your hangover. Or just because you LIKE strolling in parks, because that’s ok.

Adelaide was originally designed to be the capital city of Australia before they decided to change it to Canberra. As such, the city is largely open plan, as they didn't get the influx of population they expected, and with just over a million people, this gives the city a calm, relaxed, and spacious feel. It has all of the hustle and bustle of a major city, with tons of hostels, without all of the overwhelming crowds. Also known as the city of churches, Adelaide has many older buildings and parks scattered throughout newer and more modern architectural designs.

There are two major areas where your Adelaide hostel will be located -- the first major area is in the CBD close to all of the amenities, shopping in the Rundell Mall, and public transport. The other area is the more hip and touristy Glenelg, situated by the beach and with a raging nightlife. No matter which area you pick, public transport in Adelaide is good and there are frequent trams running services between these two areas so that you can visit both. A public transport bus also runs from the airport -- take this to the downtown region as a cheap alternative to a shuttle bus and stops down on Waymouth Street near many of the Adelaide hostels in that region.

The Adelaide region is renowned for its award-winning wines from the Barossa Valley. Head down to Gouger Street for a large selection of restaurants from which to try the different local produce and wines that Adelaide and the surrounding hills have to offer.
