Wellness and Adventure

Interact’s mission is to provide life altering experiences to visitors to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks through active scenic tours. An expert ecologist and local guides offer contextual understanding. Activity promotes wellness, while hiking, biking and SUP or kayak paddling in Yellowstone offers a sense of scale and place. We operate in Yellowstone National Park, Big Sky and West Yellowstone, Montana, the Greater Yellowstone Ecological Area including Driggs and Jackson, and throughout Southwest Montana.

Our eco-adventures and active scenic tours range from mild to wild, each affording world unique opportunities: Dig for crystals in rugged Montana mountains, then soak in natural fed hot springs. Clamber down boardwalks of a real 1880’s ghost town. Feel the stunning Big Hole Valley where Looking Glass of the non-treaty Nez Pierce was pursued and engaged by US calvary under John Gibbon. Gain an appreciation for watersheds, history and ecosystems. In addition to boundless beauty. All this and more on our two night Crystals, Gold and Big Hole Valley Tour .

Or, explore Yellowstone National Park’s Northern Range, the “Serengeti of North America”. This Yellowstone River watershed has the greatest density of carnivores in the western hemisphere. It is also the most reliable opportunity to spot wolves anywhere in the world. It’s all on our “ Beasts and Vistas ” YNP Day Tour.

Even add-on adventures. Like an overnight in Cooke City to traverse the high alpine Beartooth Highway from the Park’s Silver Gate to Red Lodge for an encompassing world class experience. Breath mountain air with yoga. Or stand up paddleboard (SUP) or kayak on Lake Yellowstone  as another add-on adventure.

Don’t just watch the Geysers at Middle and Lower Basins erupt. Bath in their runoff and minerals in the Firehole River on our Geysers, Falls and Firehole Tour. Use goggles to look for gold! Optionally, paddle where the Madison River pools with Firehole’s geyser water to form Lake Hebgen. Just “add-on” our “ Learn to Kayak Adventure ” for even more adventure!

Or bike across the Tetons fully supported. The trips rolls directly between the saddle of Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park, camping two nights along the way.

Plan your trip with our In-House PhD Ecologist.

Eco-Active Yellowstone Adventures

Whether hiking, biking, kayaking or stand-up-paddleboarding, we seek to engage you with the outside world on eco-active Yellowstone adventures. Touch things.

Smell things. Visit Old Faithful, Grand Prismatic and Fairy Falls. Then immerse your body in them at the Firehole River swimming spot. This is where “most of the outflow from the park’s geyser basins empties…causing it to be warmer with larger concentrations of dissolved minerals (chemically richer) than other watersheds.”

Taste things. Learn how yarrow plant leaves were used by solders and Early American peoples to treat wounds. Then chew a leaf and imagine how it might work as a clotting agent.

See the force of water and time at Canyon Falls where the Yellowstone River cuts its Grand Canyon. Feel the mist and gain a better understanding of the watershed and topography as you drive over the Dunraven Pass. You’ll see and hear Antelope Creek and Canyon River merge into falls before joining the Yellowstone. Then follow its major tributary, the Lamar River, to spot opportunistic carnivores in the Northern Range .

Touch, smell, taste and feel. Move the body and mind. Hike, bike and paddle. These are the eco-active Yellowstone adventures!

Colleen is a graduate of UVA, and holds a PhD in ecology from UCAL Davis, having work extensively with the indigenous people of northern California along with the USDA to increase our understanding of forest understory, timber activities and fire. She also holds a masters degree in traditional Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture and is a certified yoga instructor and massage therapist as well. She has worked for the USDA in Washington DC and helped write the first USDA agency guidelines for Certified Organics. She has also worked on federal fire crews to gain a holistic understanding of fire-ecology and forestry management.

Wilderness is a myth; Indigenous peoples had been burning and cultivating forests for 10,000 years with a pre-Columbus population numbering as high as 100 million peoples. What we call “wild” is really an anachronistic framework illustrating gaps in management and culture. The great news is there is still so much to learn!

I get asked a few times each season after we put in downriver, if we keep floating will we end up back at the shop? In part, people get disoriented on vacation. But some really space out and think we might be in a lazy river, or an M.C. Esher painting. We laugh about it but if there is one thing I want to instill in my guests is an understanding of watersheds. It’s a template that applies about anywhere in the world, that precipitation will commit to one outcome, and influences everything else along the way. -Beau Blessing, River Guide, Ski Instructor & Traveler

Home to more than 2.2 million acres, hundreds of geysers and waterfalls, as well as Yellowstone Lake – the largest high-altitude lake in North America – Yellowstone National Park is a bucket list vacation destination for many travelers. For help planning an unforgettable visit to America's oldest national park, consider a guided tour. In addition to in-the-know locals, these tours also provide hassle-free transportation from nearby cities like Jackson Hole, Wyoming . With the help of traveler and expert input, U.S. News determined that the following tours offer the best ways to take in all that the park has to offer. All of these top-rated excursions feature skillful guides who are eager to share their knowledge of the park's unique geologic features and wildlife.

Note: Because of weather and other factors, the park's roads are not accessible all year, and its entrances in Wyoming and Montana have differing seasonal opening and closing dates, so plan your visit accordingly. Additionally, tour companies' prices typically do not include the park's approximately $20 entry fee for each visitor 16 and older.

Passengers generally find the coaches warm and comfortable and the drivers (who double as guides) knowledgeable and passionate about the park. Yellowstone Wild – Wildlife & Bear Watching in Yellowstone with a Private Guide

In addition to a light breakfast and a full picnic-style lunch, prices include pickup from hotels in the Gardiner area (where Yellowstone Wild is based), but additional fees may apply for round-trip transportation to some other locations. Departures start around 5 a.m. Note: This tour is not considered appropriate for children younger than 5.

Yellowstone Insight – Day Tours – Wildlife Tour

Tours, which are available to book year-round, generally start at around 5 a.m. in the summer and 6:30 a.m. in the winter. Rates start at approximately $650 for a single person and $50 for each additional person (except for children younger than 5, who can tag along for free). Yellowstone and Grand Tetons Adventure

6 days | follow in the footsteps of cowboys as you explore wyoming’s wild terrain.

SASY - Person viewing the colourful Grand Prismatic Spring, Yellowstone National Park

Embark on a discovery of some of the most iconic natural landmarks in the USA. Visit the country’s oldest national park – the immense Yellowstone National Park – where Old Faithful Geyser shoots boiling water to the sky, bubbling hot rivers flow, and herds of bison roam. Spot wildlife like moose, bears and beavers hidden within the Grand Teton Mountain Range and follow along with a real-life wolf tracker who’ll teach you their secret tracking tricks in the wee hours of the morning. In the evenings, unwind like the cowboys used to do, with dinner, drinks and entertainment in the famous frontier town of Jackson, Wyoming.

Trip overview

  • Enjoy three full days exploring Yellowstone National Park, as you explore both the northern loop and the southern loop, witnessing all of the park’s highlights.
  • Explore the stunning scenery of Grand Teton National Park – home to wildlife such as moose and grizzly bears, as well as pristine lakes and incredible alpine terrain.
  • Meet up with an experienced wolf tracker in the wee hours of the morning for a unique opportunity to search for wolves in their natural habitat in Yellowstone National Park.
  • See Yellowstone’s most iconic sites like the powerful Old Faithful Geyser and the hypnotic Grand Prismatic Spring, then see if you can spot the park’s famous bison herds (from a safe distance, of course).
  • Spend two nights in Jackson – known for its cowboy heritage and culture – and visit the elk antler arch at the town square, surrounded by a mountain range.
  • By travelling on this trip, you’ll directly support our Intrepid Foundation partner, the Grand Canyon Conservancy. Donations help them protect Grand Canyon National Park and support trail restoration, conservation of native plants and wildlife, and educational programs.
  • This trip includes time spent travelling in a private vehicle with your group. Extra space can be tight, and conditions may feel a little cramped. It’s all part of the adventure and a great way to get to know your fellow travellers. Please read the itinerary carefully for travel time estimates.
  • There are walking opportunities throughout this trip. We recommend you bring good quality walking shoes if you're keen to enjoy a hike - or two!

Welcome to Wyoming! Your adventure begins in the historic town of Jackson, where fur trappers and frontiersmen once gathered. Surrounded by towering mountain ranges and the meandering Snake River, Jackson is your gateway to discovering Yellowstone National Park. You’ll have a group meeting at 6 pm, followed by an optional welcome dinner. After, the evening is all yours to explore the town’s nightlife. Feel free to wander the plaza or maybe head to the famous Million Dollar Cowboy Bar for a drink with your new fellow travellers.

  • Hotel (1 night)

There are no meals included on this day.

It’s very important that you attend the welcome meeting as we will be collecting insurance and emergency contact details at this time. If you are going to be late, please let your travel agent or hotel reception know. Ask reception or look for a note in the lobby for more information on where the meeting will take place.

This morning, embark on a day of exploring Grand Teton National Park – one of the most stunning places in Wyoming. The Grand Teton Mountain Range rises above a scene rich with abundant wildlife and pristine lakes. Stop at Jenny Lake and gaze up in awe at the surrounding landscape. Perhaps take the optional boat trip across the lake for more incredible views of the Tetons from the water, or hike to Inspiration Point. Maybe have a picnic, spot a moose or even a grizzly bear and enjoy the serenity of this remarkable place. Other wildlife you might find include elk, beavers and black bears, so keep your eyes peeled! Continue to viewing sites for buffalo and antelope herds along the Gros Ventre River and Antelope Flats, then visit the Mormon Row Historic District to see the iconic Moulton Barn with the Tetons towering behind. For dinner, you'll head out as a group for a western-style chuck wagon dinner at a local restaurant.

This morning, drive from Jackson to Yellowstone National Park – the crown jewel of the American national parks – and spend the day exploring with your leader. Yellowstone is the country’s first national park – a mountain wilderness home to grizzly bears, wolves and herds of buffalo and elk. You’ll take the southern loop today and watch as Old Faithful Geyser sprays over 4000 gallons (14,000 litres) of boiling water into the air. Then, be hypnotised by the startling colours of the Grand Prismatic Spring – you should definitely have your camera handy today! You have three full days to explore the park, which means you can take your time at all the sites and fully immerse yourself in this unique landscape.

  • Yellowstone National Park
  • Yellowstone National Park - Southern Loop Featuring Old Faithful Geyser & Grand Prismatic Spring

Your travel time today will be approximately 3.5 hours.

Today we will spend a full day exploring Yellowstone National Park. You’ll focus on the northern loop of the park today, which passes by the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone – an icon of the park’s complex and dramatic geological history. Pass the Norris Geyser Basin as well – the hottest and oldest geyser in Yellowstone’s thermal areas – among other sights along the loop. Along the way, look out for abundant wildlife, including birdlife and grazing elk.

  • Yellowstone National Park - Northern Loop Featuring Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone & Norris Geyser Basin

Yellowstone is a huge park and we will cover a lot of ground during our exploration. We'll spend approximately 9-10 hours in the park today, of which you can expect to spend about 3.5 hours in the vehicle.

Wake up super early this morning, ready for a very special last day in Yellowstone National Park – you’ll join a naturalist wildlife guide on a wolf-tracking adventure in a quieter, off-the-beaten-path section of the park. This is an ideal place to look for wolves, as well as lots of other wildlife like bison, elk and bears. High-power binoculars will be provided during the tour, so you have the best shot at glimpsing these elusive beasts. Check out the Mammoth Hot Springs in the park, then continue back to the hotel. Enjoy some time to rest and recharge this afternoon, then head out for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant with your group.

  • Yellowstone - Wolf Tracking Experience

Due to the very early start and remote locations visited, we recommend you pack snacks to carry with you during the Wolf Tracking experience. We'll spend approximately 9-10 hours in the park today, of which you can expect to spend about 4 hours in the vehicle.

This morning after breakfast, take a scenic drive back to Jackson. Watch the Idaho scenery pass you by as you follow the western edge of the Tetons and then cross the Snake River in Wyoming. You’ll arrive in Jackson at about 3 pm this afternoon, where your trip will come to an end. If you’d like to extend your stay, just speak to your booking agent.

Your travel time today will be approximately 3 hours.

It’s recommended that you don’t book any flights home until at least 6 pm tonight, in case there are any delays in the transit back to Jackson.

Fun and Educational Yellowstone National Park Tours for Families

Yellowstone is for family trips. Children have a natural fascination with nature, and we passionately explore the wonders of Yellowstone with them to create memories and learning experiences to last a lifetime.

We love guiding families through the wilds of Yellowstone. Our Family Adventure tours are fun and educational for children and adults alike , showcasing the magic of nature in Yellowstone National Park!

We start our morning by heading out in search of wildlife in and around the Lamar Valley, looking for bison, pronghorn, birds of prey, and more*. We hope to get everyone – but especially kids –  excited about wildlife and wild places by focusing on those things easily seen by curious young eyes.  Binoculars and spotting scopes allow us closer looks at distant animals allowing for full viewing enjoyment for all ages. As the morning progresses and our animals begin to prepare for their mid-day naps, we have a chance to venture out away from the roads on a true Yellowstone adventure on foot. While exploring, we might find animal tracks and scat (poop!), bones and antlers left behind by previous inhabitants, wildflowers and berries that invite tasting, or even evidence of nesting birds, burrowing rodents, or the no-longer-needed undercoat of an animals winter “jacket”! Throughout the day, our goal is to engage all ages to discover the joys of the natural world through games, nature walks, hands-on learning, and multi-sensory engagement with Yellowstone’s offerings.

*If your family’s top priority is observing Yellowstone’s bears and wolves, we suggest the Bear and Wolf Watching Tour , which is suitable for ages 5 and up and has an earlier start time (5AM) to better see these animals.

We can accommodate up to 10 people per vehicle/guide. This is perfectly suited for large groups and family reunions, as well as for small families.

How does the Family Adventure differ from our Bear and Wolf Watching Tour?

  • Later start ensures kids (and parents!) are well rested
  • Plenty of time to engage in exploratory learning in nature
  • Less time searching through spotting scopes for far away animals, which can be difficult for young eyes
  • NOT focused on wolves and bears, though we will take advantage of sightings that we might happen upon
  • Children ages 2-5 allowed and encouraged on this tour. Bear and Wolf Tour is for ages 5 and ups

  • Lots of questions and curiosity!

Yellowstone National Park is a very large place divided by mountain ranges, deep valleys and a massive lake. The weather within the 2.2 million acres can vary widely, so checking the weather in the park can be a difficult task. We recommend checking several different NOAA weather stations around the park, and working an average of those if you’re planning to travel around the entirety of the park.

  • Gardiner MT
  • Tower Junction, WY
  • Cooke City, WY

Can you expect to see all the wildlife you hope for?

It is important to remember that the wild animals we seek to observe are exactly that, WILD free-ranging animals that can roam across all of Yellowstone’s vast and rugged 2.2 million acres. The probability of locating and observing them is greatly elevated due to your guide’s intimate personal familiarity with the landscape and the animals themselves. We do not guarantee any wildlife sightings on our tours; however, we will guarantee that your guide will use their knowledge, skills, and network of other guides, wildlife watchers and photographers to do everything we can to find you the animals you’d like to see. We are in the park nearly every day searching for and watching wildlife, and that consistent experience pays off in finding the animals you’ve traveled to see.

  • Chevron down We Adhere to the Yellowstone Wild Code of Ethics

Park Rules and the Yellowstone Wild Code of Ethics

As a licensed Commercial Use Permit holder with Yellowstone National Park, we must follow all park rules and regulations. Additionally, as life-long proponents of wildlife and wild places, we will also follow our own ethical wildlife viewing practices. We will take this opportunity to teach you about how we can have the very best viewing and photography opportunities possible without having negative impacts on wildlife by respecting the animals’ space and movements as they go about their lives.

While on tour with Yellowstone Wild LLC, we will observe the following park rules (subject to law enforcement):

  • Keep at least 25 yards from all wildlife
  • Keep at least 100 yards from wolves and bears
  • Avoid remaining near or approaching wildlife, including birds, at any distance that disturbs or displaces the animal.

It is our ethical responsibility as visitors to the park to make sure that our actions do not inflict undue stress or hardship upon the animals that we are observing. Wild animals in a natural setting do not have easy lives, and the last thing we want to do is make their lives any more difficult. Your guide is an expert at reading animal behavior, and the moment that our presence is bothering an animal, we MUST back off until we are no longer disturbing its natural behavior. Failure to promptly respond to your guide’s instructions to back away from wildlife may result in the termination of your tour, subject to the discretion of your guide.

This is where our optics prove invaluable. We use only the finest quality Swarovski and Vortex spotting scopes so that we can thoroughly enjoy our wildlife sightings at a distance that allows the animals to carry on about their business, as if we were not there. In fact, much of the time they probably don’t know we are there, yet our high powered and crystal clear optics give us an up-close and personal view. Furthermore, we must be mindful of any animal feeding on or resting near a carcass. Approaching such an area may drive the animal(s) away and deprive them of valuable food. It is important to remember that a carcass is regularly scavenged upon by any number of other animals, including grizzly bears, who will violently defend such a food source. Approaching such an area is strictly prohibited and can seriously put people and wildlife in danger. Finally, it is important to be mindful of the other park visitors and biologists who may also be observing the same animals. We promote quiet, respectful behavior to maximize everyone’s wild Yellowstone experience.

SEE WHAT OUR GUESTS HAVE BEEN SAYING!

Our tour with Yellowstone Wild was the highlight of our trip! Our guide, Laura, was warm, personable and organized--and most of all, incredibly knowledgeable! She had wonderfully detailed stories about the area’s ecosystem, the wildlife, and the history of the park. Our family learned so much! We had sightings of bears, wolves, elk, mountain goats and even Rick McIntyre. :) I would absolutely hire Yellowstone Wild again!

We went on the personal family tour, and it was hands down the best part of our trip. Our guide Matt was extremely passionate and knowledgeable. With his insight, we were able to see so many of the beautiful animals in Yellowstone (bison, elk, and even a large pack of wolves!) We have three young children (the youngest is 3 years old), and he was able to keep our entire family engaged the whole day with beautiful hikes that are less well known but no less beautiful, exploration of the flora, and little-known facts about the park and its history. Let's just say that by the end of the trip my husband was asking if we could move to Montana :) thank you Matt and the entire Yellowstone Wild team for a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

We had the most amazing experience viewing the Yellowstone wildlife with Ty as our guide! She picked us up from our hotel right on time and immediately started getting to know us - even at 5 am. She was personable and enthusiastic, and we felt that she immediately set out to make sure we had the experience that we wanted. She was an educator above all else and made the learning and viewing experience fun for our 11 and 8 year old girls - and us, too. We really felt her become part of our family for the day, but a member that was far more useful than the rest of us :) Her knowledge of the area, equipment, and constant communication with the other guides ensured that we saw wolves and their pups, grizzly bears, a black bear, and bison migrating to the rut. Truly amazing experience and the highlight of our 2-week national park road trip!

Not sure how to adequately sing the praises of this company and our guide, “Mr. Matt.” We booked this tour hoping to spot a few animals. We made a bucket list of additional animals once we got to the park. By the day of the tour, my kids had all but requested unicorns and dinosaurs (read: foxes, wolves, moose, and anything super challenging to find). We met up with Matt bright and early, who was waiting with a very warm personality and even warmer coffee/hit cocoa! The day only improved from that point. The intimate setting with just our group allowed for 8 hours of engaging conversation/discussion/questions and a debate with my kids over the best dorito flavors. The snacks and drinks and picnic lunch were absolutely perfect and planned to the last detail - those with young ones, they even know the golden rule to pack at least as many flavors of juice boxes as there are kids in the group! No one gets left behind drinking grape juice while a sibling gets fruit punch! It was a banner day for animals: bears (mating, at that!), bison, wolves, foxes and their babies, coyote, mountain goats, deer, elk, and even a little walk for the kids to find some bison bones! If you’re considering booking a tour, just do it. It’s worth every penny and every extra hour earlier you have to wake up to make that early morning call time. Thanks, Matt! And thanks Yellowstone Wild for being everyone’s favorite part of our trip!

We were a family group of 14 including 3 children. We took the one day wildlife tour with Alexa and Laisa. We can't say enough about how professional our guides were and how much fun they made it for everyone. They were able to help us see wolves, grizzly bears, black bears just to name a few. Alexa even answered a thousand questions from a very inquisitive 10 year old! The trip was made even more special when we found out that Laisa was from our home town and graduated from the same high school as 5 of our family! Small world! Some of us have been to Paradise Valley and Yellowstone several times - wish we would have done this tour before!

Our family completed a day with Laura a couple of weeks ago and I wanted to pass along our extreme gratitude and praise. First off, Laura was just a ray of sunshine and our family immediately connected with her. Our kids felt extremely comfortable with her and asked her lots of questions that she had all the answers too! We learned SO much. She took our hopes and dreams for the day and turned them into reality. The wildlife, landscape and beauty we saw that day will be a part of our treasured memories forever. At the end of the day, we all were saying the same thing - "Today was the best. If/when we return, we would want to spend another day with Laura." We really did feel like Laura was a part of the family and we were just spending the day with her sight seeing and learning. I really can't express enough how much we loved our day with her. We have already shared with friends and family all about our day with Yellowstone Wild. Everyone can't believe what an amazing day we had and our stories!!We are extremely happy we had a day with you Laura!! Thank you!

Galyna Saltkovska Is “Very Proud” Of The Comparisons Between ‘The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys’ And ‘Yellowstone’

‘Vanderpump Villa’s Hannah Fouch And Marciano Brunette Tease More Body Shots, Whipped Cream And Hookups To Come

‘summer house’ star amanda batula says husband kyle cooke’s “mullet and late hours out” are signs of a “midlife crisis” [exclusive], neal brennan thinks we’ve failed by turning ‘crazy good’ comedians like dave chappelle and joe rogan into moral authorities.

Behind every man there is a good woman. On Peacock and USA’s The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys , that woman is Galyna Saltkovska. Smart and savvy, the Russian-born self-taught business maven and single mother is at the right hand of McBee Farm and Cattle owner Steve McBee, both professionally and personally. Her passion project is the McBee’s latest business endeavor, McBee’s Coffee N Carwash . Over the course of Season 1, we see Saltkovska spearhead a $105M dollar deal with a hedge fund group to finance the fast-growing coffee/carwash chain. Fans who have seen the series in its entirety know that the deal falls through, but while the consequences seemed dire in the heightened stakes of reality TV, the business is actually doing quite well.

“When it comes to any kind of financial deal, it’s always a very long process,” explained Saltkovska. “You cannot always guarantee that you will get the end result you want.” Since they finished filming, Saltkovska reveals they are about to open a few more locations. “I’m not going to stop with the expansion because I got one ‘no,'” said Saltkovska. “I’m going to continue to push until somebody says ‘yes.'” It’s that determination and drive which makes Saltkovska such a great partner, in both business and otherwise.

However, one of the juiciest aspects of the show is Saltkovska’s romantic relationship with McBee. While McBee has been vocal about keeping things between them casual, Saltkovska is still with him 24/7. One of the most dramatic moments of the show occurred when McBee’s other paramour, Brooke, crashed Saltkovska’s vehicle after McBee unwisely lent it to her. In Episode 9, Saltkovska and Brooke came face to face for an explosive conversation after an accidental encounter on the farm. “It caught me by surprise,” remembered Saltkovska. “I do believe in karma, [and] I was going to find out that Steve was being secretive one way or another.”

We spoke to Saltkovska over Zoom to talk about the season, the somewhat apt comparison between The McBee Dynasty and Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone , and whether she and McBee are still cohabitating.

DECIDER: How did you first come to work at McBee Farm & Cattle Company all those years ago?

GALYNA SALTKOVSKA: Before coming to McBee, I was just working normal jobs. I had my daughter just a couple of years after college. I put my career on hold for a long time because I was stay-at-home mom. When my daughter got older, I finally started having free time. I knew I wanted to start building back my career because I never wanted to depend on anybody again. So, I started actively asking myself, “What do I need to do?”

I love the operations side of business and worked my way up with a couple corporations. I was able to apply what I learned with smaller businesses on the side. That’s how I started with Steve and Steven [McBee Jr.]. I started helping them with one of their companies, just doing the analysis of their profit and loss statements. I was able to build up cost structures to help them become more profitable and efficient. So, through that, I earned their trust and respect. As their business grew, they needed more people. I was the first one that they offered a full-time job, and that’s how I started working at the farm.

And you worked your way up to CFO.

I know [laughs]. I’m mostly operations now, but I’m willing to learn everything. It’s been quite the journey. In 2020, we lost most of our team, so then the three of us had to figure out who did what. The guys didn’t have the patience to crunch the numbers, create the Excel spreadsheets, and study the accounting software. Out of three of us, I was the most suitable for that role. I went straight to YouTube. Everything was shut down, so I’m like, “Okay, the internet is still out there, so I’m going to read, I’m going to learn, I’m going to just figure it out.”

Steven Jr. was responsible for bringing the cameras to the farm during his stint on Joe Millionaire: For Richer Or Poorer . What was your reaction when reality TV producers later approached Steve and Steven about doing a show on the farm itself?

Honestly, I was incredibly supportive and saw it as such a cool opportunity. I told them to go for it. It was not only a great opportunity for him, but for our businesses. Even before Joe Millionaire , I always told Steven: “We have such a unique setup here, and I want the world to see everything that we do, how we do it, and our interactions with each other.” I would always joke that they’re going to make movie about us and Charlize Theron was going to play me.

People just can’t help but compare The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys with the Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone saga—minus all the murders, of course. What do you think about that?

I don’t mind at all. I am very proud that people are comparing our show to one of the most successful series on American television. I’m not complaining about that one bit.

What does your daughter, Erena, think of the fact that her mom is a reality TV star?

Oh my goodness, she’s just so cute [laughs]. She might not be a fan of everything she sees, but ultimately, she’s very supportive and extremely proud of me. She’s sharing the show with her friends. She’s on a cheerleading team at college, and they had a party and watched the show. It’s definitely awesome to see that we have a lot of support.

Have you been watching the show? I know some reality TV personalities choose not to…

I have. I haven’t watched it in full. I watch a little bit, take a pause, and then watch some more. I like most of the show, but there were a couple of really uncomfortable moments that I had to make peace with.  I ended up really loving it, outside of those few things, of course.

Yes, there are some tough moments between you and Steve, but there was so much fun stuff too. I loved that the camera captured when the girls went out for ladies’ night.

I was laughing so hard watching this episode. I definitely did not expect a stripper to show up. We were just going to have a good time. I knew they had something planned, but I was truly shocked when that guy showed up and started undressing in the middle of a country bar. His dancing was aggressive in a fun way [laughs], but I’ve never had stripper experience before. Later that night, people tried to show us how to do the two-step. I probably rolled my ankle at least three times on the dance floor, but all together, it was such an amazing night.

It was nice to see you get to cut loose away from the farm because you’re always having to toe the line between the personal and professional sides of your life.

I’ve always was able to draw a really clear line between professional and personal relationships. On occasion, I’ve had a bad day when I’ve brought to work whatever happened at home, but for the most part, I’m really good about separating the two.

It was nice to see Steve include you in his Father’s Day celebration with his sons. You seemed a bit nervous, but you pulled off an amazing spread!

I’ve very respectful of Steve’s sons. I’m aware of their feelings towards me and their father. I’ve never asked for anything from them, but it really was a nice treat for me to be able to participate in the Father’s Day party. It was the first time I was ever included in something like that. I tried to respect their boundaries and be appreciative they made me part of the day. I gave it my best with presentation of the food. I mean, I watched so many TikToks to get ideas. I don’t know if my food looked quite as cute as the food on TikToks, but it wasn’t bad.

I thought you handled it beautifully. I don’t know if Steve anticipated that the show would reveal the impact that his relationships with women have on his sons and their feelings towards their own partners . Were you surprised to see how much of an effect his behavior has on them?

No, I mean it’s just a common sense. I knew Steve’s poor treatment of me at times left an impression on boys and affected how they treat the women in their life. However, they are smart guys.

They can break the cycle.

One relationship I didn’t expect to love as much as I did was your bond with Tessa. You two didn’t get off to the best start. How is your friendship today?

We’re great now. Tessa is, as you probably noticed, extremely protective. Those are her boys. She knows the entire family and has been with them for years. When I was new to the farm, she was obviously on guard. Can we trust her? Is she going to be good for my boys? I recognized that she was wary of me, so I gave her the time and space to see my good intentions and my hard work. I knew I had to earn her respect. We are in much better place now. We still make jokes about each other though [laughs]. That’ll never change.

I appreciated that she had your back in Episode 9 during the confrontation with Brooke at the farm on that Saturday morning.

Absolutely, yes. I was happy about that.

Now, I love Steve, so no disrespect to him, but I just wish he would have been honest with you about giving Brooke the keys to his Nashville home, especially after the ultimatum you gave him earlier in the season. How did you navigate around this betrayal?

I did not expect her there. It was very disappointing. I did not really know the full circumstances of why it was happening, and it caught me by surprise. Honestly, it was eye-opening and caused me to re-evaluate certain things. It was very disrespectful for her to show up there on Saturday. Everybody knows that I rarely take any days off. For him to assume that I was not going to be there… I do believe in karma. I was going to find out that he was being secretive one way or another, and the universe made sure I did.

I do have a theory about Brooke crashing your car. Do you think it’s possible she totaled your car on purpose to out their relationship to you?

With all due respect, I’m not going to give her that credit.

I think it was just her being reckless, if that’s the right word. I definitely don’t think she had this master plan. Accidents happen, you know?

For sure. Now, before I left you go, I do want to talk about the season finale. It was hard to watch the deal with the venture capitalist fall through for McBee’s Coffee N Carwash. How do you go on from that disappointment?

All financial deals involve a very long process. You cannot always guarantee that you will get the result you want. It’s not uncommon that those types of business deals fall through. We’re still a younger business, so we will always have to jump through a few more hoops before we get everything secured. Just because this deal didn’t go through at this time doesn’t mean it’s over. Maybe they needed a bit more time, or they want us to make the payments in smaller increments, or they want to repackage the entire deal. Since we finished filming the show, we have a few more locations for the business in the works. I’m not going to stop with the expansion because I got one “no.” I’m going to continue to push until somebody says “yes.”

I know the business is doing really well, so your perseverance has clearly paid off. However, the season does end in a cliffhanger as Steve takes some time off from the business and leaves his sons in charge. What can you tease about the aftermath of that decision?

The boys definitely do rise to the challenge. All of them have been extremely active on the farm and know so much about farming operations. It’s been really amazing. The boys do understand that this business is their future. I’m there to support them.

Lastly, I know you moved in with Steve while you were on the lookout for a new house. Are you still cohabitating?

We’re still working through those living arrangements just because we are so, so, so busy with work. Right now, our priority is building the businesses. That’s what I’m focusing on.
