• If rain is forecasted, we recommend bringing a poncho.
• Many guests see wild alligators, birds, and other wildlife on their airboat and buggy tours, but Mother Nature makes no guarantees, so neither can we.
• You will definitely see alligators and other rescued animals in our Animal Sanctuary , an attraction included with all our tours.
• Our tours run rain or shine, except when there's a thunderstorm.
• We don't refund bookings if you cancel too close to a tour's departure time (check the policy when booking).
• Sometimes we need to delay due to thunderstorms or other unforeseen circumstances. We'll do our best to reschedule or issue a refund.

Airboat Tours Florida - Cape Coral boating and fishing is double the fun on an airboat!

Except for kayaks, you can go where no other kind of boat fears to tread.

Airboats only need 1/4 of an inch of water, so touring and fishing become more exciting and adventurous as you can get closer to shore, and deeper up into rivers and streams.

I have heard that there is some amazing fishing in those shallower waters, and better chances to see wildlife ........... so you've got to try it at least once!  I recommend Archer Airboat Tours with Captain Bobby Archer.  He has been building airboats and giving tours for around 30 years now.

Capt Bobby has done many tours in the Everglades, but you don't have to go that far, because he is now in Matlacha, which is fantastic for fishing and beautiful scenery, and it's so close to Cape Coral ......... I can get there in about 5 minutes.

Just head west on Pine island Rd and when you pass Matlacha Isles on the right, up ahead, you'll see a fenced in area on the right for launching boats at the D&D Marina.

You should be able to see a truck with Archer Airboat Tours on it, take a right at the Bait and Tackle Shop, into the lot and you're good to go!

Touring is great all year round, fishing is really good pretty much all year as well, but particularly in the spring and summer.

It gets hot in the summer, but all you have to do is jump in the water, or power up the boat and go for a spin!

Airboat rides cost only $250 for a 1 1/2 hour tour for up to 6 people as long as one of them is a child, or, up to 5 adults.

We got to go airboating on a picture perfect day with lots of sunshine, puffy white clouds, and a gentle breeze.

I sat in the highest seat so I could take pictures and videos. The person in that seat wears earphones to muffle the sound of the airboat's motor.

Our tour started off at a slow chug until we got a ways from Matlacha Island.

I've heard that some tours are boring, but not this one! Bobby takes the time to point out the wildlife, runs the boat both at different speeds, and takes you to a variety of places in Matlacha Pass Aquatic Preserve.

We hugged the shore of one of the many smaller islands for a bit, enjoying the scenery of mangroves and sky reflecting in the water.

Then we slowed down even more and looked for fish ......... we saw needlefish, mullet, and stingrays.

Instead of going out into the open waters of Matlacha Pass we headed to a narrow channel and Bobby let 'er fly ......... it was amazing, I know you will love this ride!

He spun the boat out, which was a lot of fun, and we headed out to the pass and back again to explore inlets and shallow creeks where fishing boats can't go.

We waved to kayakers and boaters as we got to deeper waters and saw both blue and white herons.

Then a dolphin swam by, almost went under the boat, then swam around close enough to get this video ..... it was very thrilling!

It was then time to go to the sandbar in Matlacha Pass so we could anchor and take a swim.

We saw lots of big redfish .... we're going to go back and do some airboat fishing at some point.

Archer Airboat Tours Florida is planning on taking trips up the Peace River from Arcadia in June and July to hunt for huge shark teeth, fossils and dinosaur bones ........ doesn't that sound amazing ...... think I'm just gonna have to do that one!

The Peace River Tour is also $150/hour, but there is a 3 hour minimum because he has to haul his boat up to Arcadia, about 1 1/2 hours away.
