One of the most popular deities in Maharashtra is Khandoba and Jejuri is the best known town of pilgrimage for his devotees. What also makes a trip to this temple worth it is that it is situated on a hillock and offers a fascinating view of the surrounding rural landscape. Jejuri is situated on a 758-meter high hillock about 80 kilometers away from Pune in Purandar taluka. The temple here is a huge complex with the shrines of various deities, including of course that of Khandoba. The hilltop on which the temple stands is called Jejurigad and its history can be dated back to 1688 when it was included in the fiefdom of Manaji Shankar Nilkantharao along with Shikali, Chamili and Narayanapur. It was the Maratha ruler, Shahu Maharaj, who being an ardent devotee of Khandoba, had asked Bajirao Peshwa to construct a huge tank (37 acres) at Jejuri for the benefit of the devotees.

The Unhere hot water springs located in the near Pali taluka Shudhagad of Raigad District in Maharashtra State, India. Just 1 km before the Pali Ganesh temple is a hot water spring. Proceed to Morgaon in the morning, the distance is 76 kms from Pune and take 1.5 hrs. after Darshan leave for Theur, the distance is 68 km from Morgaon and take more than 1 hour to reach. On arrival take Darshan and then halt for lunch. After lunch move for Siddhatek, it is around 90 kms from Theur and take 1.5 hours to reach Siddhatek. After having darshan move to Ranjangaon. After Darshan, back to Pune for night halt.

Proceed to Ozhar in the morning, the distance is 90 kms and take 2 hrs to reach there in morning time. After Darshan move to Lenyadri (15 kms and require 15 minutes). On arrival have a Darshan of lord Ganesha and halt for lunch. Then movie to Pali. After Darshan drive to Mahad & then drive back to Pune

Proceed to Morgaon in the morning, after Darshan leave for Theur. On arrival take Darshan and then halt for lunch. After lunch leave for Siddhatek and then return back to Pune.

Proceed to Ranjangaon in the morning. After Darshan leave for Ozhar on arrival take Darshan and halt for lunch. Then move to Lenyadri. After the climb of 307 steps drive back to pune.

Proceed to Pali in the morning. After Darshan leave for Mahad. On arrival visit temple and halt for lunch. After lunch move back to Pune.

Chintamani Temple Theur – The Chintamani Temple of Theur at 25 kms from Pune is one of Ashtavinayak Temple, a set of eight Lord Ganesha temple visited part of a circuit.

Ranjangaon Mahaganapati Temple – Mahaganapati Temple at Ranjangaon near Pune is one of the eight Ashtavinayak Temples that are visited as part of a circuit.

Moreshwar Temple – Shri Moreshwar Mandir is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha at 64 kilometres from Pune city. The temple is the start and ending point of a pilgrimage of eight Ganesha temples called Ashtavinayaka temples.

Lenyadri Ashavinayak Temple – Lenyadri Ashtavinayak Temple is one of the eight Ashtavinayak temples. The temple is set in a cave and and only one of the eight temples that requires climbing some steps to reach.

Ozar Ashtavinayak Temple – Shrivighnahar, Ozhar is home to one of the eight Ashtavinayak Temples. It is visited alongwith Girijatmaj, Lenyadri Ashtavinayak Temple.

Mahad Varad Vinayak Ashtavinayak Temple – One of the eight Ashtavinayak Temples at 6 km from Khopoli. This is well visited over weekends. From the parking area there is a 200-300 meters walk to the temple.

Siddhtek – Siddhtek is home to Siddhivinayak Temple, a Lord Ganesha Temple at 100 kms from Pune and one of the Ashtavinayak Temples.

Ballareshwar Pali – One of the eight Ashtavinayaka temples. Ballaleshwar is the only incarnation of Ganesha that is known by his devotees name.

• Girijatmaj temple, lenydri is administered by central government which closes at 6.30 in evening. Varadavinayak temple at Mahad is always open. Other temples close at 10 pm.
• Girijatmaj temple, lenydri is in the mountains. It has 350 steps. It takes more than an hour to climb and get down. (total 1 hour 20 minutes).
• To avoid traffic and to reach temples on time. It is better to start your journey early in the morning.

Day 1 : Pune to Theur (25 Kms/1 Hr)

Welcome to Pune, you are greeted by Namaste India Trip representative. Begin your trip to Theur, to one of the larger and more famous Ashtavinayak Temples. The history of this temple describes how Ganesha retrieved the wish giving jewel Chintamani for his devotee, the sage Kapila from a greedy king Gana.

Theur to Moregaon (70 Kms/2 Hrs)

After darshan proceed to Moregaon to Shri Mayureshwar Mandir which relates the temple to killing of the demon Sindhu by Ganesha.

Moregaon to Siddhatek (65 Kms/2 Hrs)

Later proceed to Siddhatek to Siddhivinayak Temple which is a jagrut kshetra where Ganesha is said to be highly powerful. It is a place where Vishnu invoked Lord Ganesha to bestow his blessings and various siddhis.

Siddhatek to Ranjangaon(92 Kms/2 Hrs)

visit Ranjangaon to Shri Mahaganpati . It is said that Lord Shiva invoked Lord Ganesha before fighting the demon Tripurasura.

Day 2 : Ranjangaon to Ozar (100 Kms/2 Hrs)

After breakfast proceed to Ozar to Vighneshwara Temple. It is associated with the legend of Ganesha defeating Vignasura, the demon of obstacles.

Ozar to Lenyadri (15 Kms/30min)

After darshan proceed to Lenyadri which is famous for 30 rock cut Buddhist caves. Cave 7 is dedicated to Lord Ganesha’s temple.

Lenyadri to Mahad (134 Kms/3 Hrs)

After Lunch proceed to Mahad to Varad Vinayak temple which means the one who blesses all wishes. The idol of this temple is a swayambu and was found in the adjoining lake in an immersed position.

Mahad to Pali (42 Kms/1 Hrs)

After darshan proceed to Pali to Ballaleshwar temple. It is believed that Lord Ganesha had saved a devotee boy, Ballala, whi was beaten by local villagers and his father for his single minded devotion to him. Later return to Pune Railway station/Airport/ Bus Stop for journey to onward destination.

Ashtavinayak tour, Day 2: Early morning proceed to Lenyadri (Girijatmaj Ganpati darshan),it is situated on hills which is having around 350 steps to reach. After breakfast, proceed to Mahad (Varad Vinayak Ganpati darshan) followed by Lunch at Mahad. Proceed to Pali (Ballaleshwar Ganpati darshan). After tea, proceed to Pune.
