Well, not exactly. There’s more to a presale than that and it doesn’t require any magic to take advantage—you only need to know where to look…

Ticket Presales Defined

The presale ticket period is when certain event tickets go on sale to a specified group of fans, usually as a reward for their membership or customer loyalty. In advance or during the presale timeframe*, these select fans are given a code which allows them to search for tickets to buy. Fans aren’t guaranteed a ticket during the presale, but they’re given the opportunity to browse ahead of other fans who don’t have the code.

• Ticketmaster Presale Are you signed up to receive special offers from Ticketmaster via email? If not, don’t worry, we’ll tell you how. • VIP Presale Buying the best seats in the house has its perks! When you’re searching for tickets, be sure to look for any VIP packages that may be available for the event. • Fan Club Presale Are you an avid follower of {insert-your-favorite-band-here}? If the answer’s yes, then you should look into becoming a member of their official fan club or community. Typically, fan club members are rewarded for their loyalty and given presale access to their fav artists’ shows as a perk. FYI—there may be a cost associated with joining an artists’ fan club or community so read all the details before signing up!
• Album Pre-order Presale Sometimes tours offer a presale code to the fans who pre-order the artist’s new album. This is a great way to get early access to tickets and the music you love from your favorite artist. You can find out about these types of opportunities by signing up to receive email notifications from your favorite artist and/or Ticketmaster .
• Fan Club Bundle Still not a member of your favorite artist’s official fan club? Not to worry, some artists give non-fan club members early access to tickets when they purchase a special “Fan Club Bundle.” Purchasing this bundle allows you to buy tickets during the specified presale period along with the purchase of an official fan club membership. You kill two birds with one stone here—you’re given the chance to buy tickets early and you become an official fan club member with even more insider info from your favorite band. Keep in mind that in most cases, there’s an additional cost associated with purchasing the fan club membership.
• Team Presale Sports teams traditionally try to give their loyal following early access to tickets. Simply visit your desired sports team’s website for more information on how to join their email list.
• Radio presale Stations partner with different tours, events and sports teams to offer their loyal listeners early access to buy tickets. Listen closely on air or visit the station’s website for details on signing up and securing passwords.

Frank Turner announces summer 2024 UK tour

The tour announcement comes after the singer revealed his attempt to break the record for the most shows played in 24 hours

Frank Turner has announced a UK headlining tour set to begin later this summer.

Turner and his band The Sleeping Souls will kick off the tour at Glastonbury on June 28 where they are set to perform on the Avalon stage. They will then make their way across the UK with stops in Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow, Southampton, Birmingham, Nottingham, Cardiff, Oxford and Norwich. The headlining dates will wrap up in Suffolk on July 26.

The Meffs will be serving as opening support. A ticket pre-sale will begin tomorrow (April 24) for fans who have pre-ordered Turner’s upcoming album ‘Undefeated’ by 11:59pm today (April 23). The pre-sale will commence at 11am Wednesday April 24.

Speaking about the upcoming dates in a press release, Turner said: “We’re getting closer to the day when ‘Undefeated’ is out in the world. We’ve announced and sold out 14 shows in the UK – all on the same day – so let’s add a few more! I’m bringing the tour, the new album, the Sleeping Souls, and my excellent friends The Meffs, to a string of dates in rooms I know well and love around the UK this July, in between our festival shows.”

The announcement of his UK tour comes after he announced his attempt to break the record for the most shows played in 24 hours in honour of the Music Venue Trust .

In celebration of his upcoming 3,000th show and the release of his 10th album ‘Undefeated’ on May 3, Turner will attempt to play 15 shows of minimum 20-minute sets on May 4. Sponsored by taxi app FREENOW, Turner will travel circa 500 miles to play shows from Liverpool to Southampton.

Turner says of his challenge: “With nearly 3000 shows under my belt, I’ve never been one to do things by halves or shirk a challenge – I once played all 50 American states in 50 days, for goodness sake. For the release of my tenth studio album, ‘Undefeated’, I will be making an attempt at a world record: the most number of shows in different cities in 24 hours.

“It’s not just self-promotion either,” he added. “We’re working with 13 independent record shops and 15 independent grassroots music venues for the shows, highlighting two bits of the infrastructure of the underground that I care about most. It’s going to be tough, but hopefully fun too. Come down for a show!”

Meanwhile, Turner  announced his new record in January this year , sharing it was about “survival and defiance, but also one with a sense of fun and self-deprecation.”

“19 years into my solo career, I’m still standing up and putting out some of my best work. It feels good.”

He also spoke to  NME  about the importance of going to gigs  after Covid-19, saying: “We’re trying to remind people that going to independent gigs is fun, and teaching the kids who came of age in 2020 or 2021 that this is a cool thing to do. My role in this is twofold – to shout about it whenever I can and be positive and say it’s a really fucking cool thing to go to indie gigs.

“Don’t fucking go to an arena gig where you get charged nine quid for a beer!”

Previously, the  MVT awarded Turner an Outstanding Achievement Award  for hosting 27 shows which were instrumental in directly enabling grassroots music venues to survive the  coronavirus  crisis, having raised nearly £300,000.

Latin rap star Pitbull is set to deliver a mix of his career-spanning hits on the upcoming Party After Dark Tour. The U.S. trek follows numerous successful solo tours for the "Give Me Everything" rapper, including the triple-headlining Trilogy Tour with Enrique Iglesias and Ricky Martin .

Produced by Live Nation, the 26-city tour kicks off on Aug. 21 in Bristow, Virginia, making stops across the U.S. before wrapping in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on Oct. 5.  Fellow rappers T-Pain and Lil Jon will serve as a special guests on the tour.

The Grammy-winning Pitbull is known for a slew of hit singles , including "Fireball," "Timber" with Kesha , "Hotel Room Service," "Give Me Everything" with Afrojack and Ne-Yo and "Time of Our Lives" with Ne-Yo.

Quick and simple process

Always easy to access on sale tickets. Never seem to have an issue unlike other ticket providers. Quick and simple process.

One star lost because you cannot choose…

One star lost because you cannot choose your seats and you do not give the best seats available for the price you want to pay. On the third device I used I was offered better seats than on the first device. Another star lost due to the payment debit name being some other company and not Gigs and Tours’.

Easy process

Buying tickets was problem free and easy to navigate. It would be useful if when buying for more than one venue you could save and check out/pay in one go rather than having to go back and forth and pay individually. Notwithstanding that, the email confirmation/tickets arrived immediately and the overall process was good.

If zero stars was an option I would have taken that! After booking Peter Kay tickets for a special occasion, we are extremely disappointed that the venue has had to cancel the event. The option of a day the following week has been given but we are unable to attend on that day due to work commitments. So reluctantly we took the option to have the tickets refunded. We paid a total of £450 for our 6 tickets but have only been refunded £390! Plus we are out of pocket for the venue parking of £25! Surely this is not acceptable for something that was entirely out of our control. I’ve edited this review as gigs and tours have just contacted me and are now giving us a full refund.

I struggled to make payment because my bank thought I was being hacked but I eventually sorted that out and got the tickets I wanted. It was an easy thing to do following all the instructions on screen.

Always managed to get tickets!

Considering that I couldn't get AC/DC tickets when they first came on sale but then, I got some when they let me know they released more tickets, I'm delighted. Bearing in mind, it was the first time I couldn't get tickets! I even got tickets for the Hawkins tribute. So, I'm delighted with Gigs and Tours!

Good do with a little more time wgen buying tickets, if you don't put your payment details in quick enough you could lose the tickets you want. Would be good if the tickets were posted out sooner

Too expensive tickets for listening to…

Too expensive tickets for listening to the songs that are not familiar to the children and even adults, except Frozen and Little Marmaid. I paid nearly 50 pounds for two adults and two children, which is too expensive for a very light entertainment.

Haven't used the site for quite a while. Easy to navigate and book tickets and pay easily. Got instant conformation and booking ref.

Seat Choice Issue

I expected to choose my particular seat, but the system would not permit it. I attempted to see what would happen if I changed the number of tickets, and up popped seats I would have chosen, as they were available, but never released for a single booking. I tried numerous times to select the seat I wanted, but it was not possible. I finally had to accept a seat that was chosen at random for me. Very disappointing, especially considering the high cost of the ticket.

Shakira is bringing her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour to Footprint Center in downtown Phoenix on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024.

Promoted by Live Nation, the tour’s first leg features 14 arena shows across North America kicking off Nov. 2 in Palm Desert, California, with stops in Los Angeles, Miami, Toronto, Brooklyn, Chicago and more.

Known for her high-energy performances, Shakira will perform tracks from her new album and her catalog of hits.

Shakira teases 2024 tour at Coachella with Bizarrap

On Friday, she surprised fans at Coachella when she appeared during Bizarrap’s set to perform their global smash hit “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53” and “La Fuerte,” both featured on her new album. Before exiting the stage, Shakira teased the tour news to a roaring crowd .

Coachella marks the second time in the last month that Shakira has surprised fans with a showstopping performance.

Last month, following the album release, Shakira shut down New York City’s Times Square, giving a crowd of more than 40,000 fans a peek into the energy of her live shows when she performed at the TSX Stage.

The performance included such iconic hits as “Hips Don’t Lie,” “Te Felicito/TQG” and “Session 53,” as well as “Puntería” and “Cómo Dónde y Cuándo” from her new album.

Shakira tour 2024 is in support of 'Las Mujeres Ya No Llora' album

The tour is in support of Shakira's new album, "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran," which within 24 hours of its release became the most streamed album of the year with more than 10 billion streams, and was certified seven times platinum.

The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Album and Latin Pop Album charts, while “Puntería” with Cardi B holds the No. 1 spot on both the Billboard Latin Airplay and Latin Pop Airplay charts.

Shakira last played Phoenix in 2018 on the El Dorado World Tour

Shakira last played Phoenix in 2018, when the El Dorado World Tour played that same venue , which was still called Talking Stick Resort Arena at the time.

Since then, she's performed one of the more iconic Super Bowl halftime shows in history with Jennifer Lopez.
