The Great Britain Tourism Survey (GBTS) 2021
A national consumer survey measuring the volume and value of domestic overnight tourism trips taken by residents in Great Britain, and provides detailed information about trip and visitor characteristics. Data will cover April-December 2021.

Great Britain Day Visits Survey: 2019
The report provides a comprehensive breakdown on patterns and trends of volume and expenditure for 2019.
This is the latest release in the series: Great Britain Day Visits Survey
It also includes additional data on activities undertaken, destination type, transport types used, money spent during visits and the profile of visitors.
Results are provided at an overall GB level and individually for visits taken to destinations in England, Scotland and Wales.

- There has been a decrease in the volume of tourism day visits taken in Wales during 2019, with 87 million trips taken (a decrease of 9%).
- The overall spend fell by 14% in 2019 with an expenditure of £3.4 billion.

Main points. There was an increase in the volume of overnight tourism trips taken in Wales by GB residents in 2019, with 10.7 million trips taken, an increase of 6.8%. The overall spend also increased in 2019 with expenditure of £2.0 billion, an increase of 8.1%.
