Rapper GZA Announces North American Tour in 2024 With Phunky Nomads

by Em Casalena March 14, 2024, 3:15 pm

Wu-Tang Clan founding member GZA has been busy touring Europe this year, but he’s finally making a few stops in the US and Canada. The rapper will tour across North America with support from his live band Phunky Nomads and Brooklyn-based rapper Kota The Friend, specifically along the East Coast with one West Coast date. The Soul Rebels and Ghostface Killah will make an appearance for the Washington, DC stop.

Videos by American Songwriter

The GZA 2024 Tour of North America will start on March 21 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at Underground Arts. Unless additional dates are added to the tour, it should end on July 21 in Stuart, Florida at Terra Fermata.

Getting tickets to see GZA live is pretty straightforward. Fans can find general admission tickets through Ticketmaster and Stubhub . It doesn’t look like any presale events are going on for this tour. It’s also worth noting that the Baltimore tour date won’t be available for general sale until March 15, and there is also going to be a Charlotte, North Carolina date that has not been announced yet.

If you want to catch any of GZA’s international dates outside of the North American tour, check out Viagogo for the best deals.

If your chosen tour date sells out, check out what’s available on Stubhub. This is our top secondary ticketing platform because it’s reliable, occasionally has cheaper tickets, and is backed by the FanProtect Program. No scams, no fake tickets.

Don’t wait around to reserve your spot on the GZA 2024 Tour. Get your tickets now!

GZA, Ghostface Killah, and Raekwon Announce Joint Tour

By Jazz Monroe

Ghostface Killah and GZA in 2015

A joint tour from Wu-Tang royalty GZA , Raekwon , and Ghostface Killah will plough across America later this year. Billed as the 3 Chambers Tour, the 25-date run is a celebration of the artists’ classic albums Ironman, Liquid Swords , and Only Built 4 Cuban Linx . Find the dates below.

“As we start to approach a back to normal environment, which is overdue, I’m overly excited about seeing my fans again,” said Raekwon in a press release. “This 3 Chambers Tour will be something I recommend nobody misses. This shit will be bananas!!!! Get ready to enter the WU again... (#ironliquidlinxshit).”

Earlier this year, Raekwon and Ghostface Killah staged a VERZUZ battle featuring surprise appearances from RZA and Young Dirty Bastard, among others. Last fall, Raekwon said his memoir The Story of Raekwon was coming this spring, but a release date has not yet been announced. Ghostface Killah, meanwhile, is apparently working on Supreme Clientele 2 , the sequel to his 2000 classic .

A bit disappointed, the was almost like a public karaoke, half of the songs were sung by the audience and the DJ (or the sound eng) put too much bass, couldn't here so much the melody...

The show was long for nothing, 2h waiting after the door opened, got very tired waiting that for a bands that only need to plug a mac laptop and 3 cables.

GZA Concert Tickets

If you want to see an energetic live hip-hop performance and sharp metaphoric lyrics, GZA tickets are what you're looking for. GZA is an American rapper and songwriter that began performing in the early 1990s. He gained renown for his work with the Wu-Tang Clan, including the group's first album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).

The album featured a GZA solo track, "Clan in da Front," one of two tracks that did not feature multiple rappers. GZA continued to be featured among several Wu-Tang Clan albums during the 1990s, including Return to the 36 Chambers , The Dirty Version and Only Built 4 Cuban Linx .

GZA's rising reputation and the support of his fellow Wu-Tang Clan rappers fueled the success of his solo career. His second solo album, Liquid Swords, featured all of the original Wu-Tang Clan members and peaked at the No. 2 spot on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums and No. 9 spot on the Billboard 200 charts. His next album, Beneath the Surface , was critically acclaimed after its release in 1999 and swiftly earned a Gold Certification by the RIAA.

GZA first gained renown overseas with the hit single, Ich lebe für Hip Hop, in 2000. The single became immensely popular in Germany and peaked at the No. 11 spot in the German charts. In 2005, it became clear that GZA stood out among other rappers for his unique lyrics that referred to science and incorporated witty metaphors. He released the collaborative album Grandmasters , which used chess as a metaphor for the rap game.

In the mid-2000s, GZA began to work on his album, Dark Matter . The album was to feature unique lyrics centered on themes like physics, space and the ocean. In 2010, he was invited to speak at Harvard University and, in 2015, GZA performed live on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Now, you can get your chance to see this incredible rapper by purchasing your GZA tickets through TicketSmarter.
