This is such a cute little carrousel near the Eiffel Tower. There are a lot of carousels in Paris. This one's really nice. It's popular but not too busy. You feel like you're surrounded by tourists.

This is a really pretty old-fashioned carousel. There's sweet music and there's sounds of children having fun. They say that this is the only carousel in Paris that goes clockwise. Who knows if that's really true! Really very nice views and you can feel like a kid again even if you don't take a ride. Try to go at night to see the lights of the Eiffel Tower. There's food stalls so you can have a crepe and watch. You can also get your picture taken here.
This crepe place has recidivous customer service. The cashier was yelling at me by pulling out the barcode I got from the travel apps for him to scan for the crepe that I paid in advance. The crepe is not even on par. It's so over rated. Bad customer service and food not on par.
The worst crepe I ever had.
Le Carrousel de la Tour Eiffel just happened to catch my attention while walking in Paris. I asked my daughter to stop so I could get a photo. It's absolutely beautiful and a historic landmark. Because of this photo I like to photograph carousels now. I enjoy the carousels in Manhattan. I treasure this photo and I definitely would make it a point to return the next visit to Paris. In fact I'd like to photograph more of the carousels in Paris. There are around twenty carousels around Paris. Most from the 1900's when it's considered they reached their Golden Age.

For 3 Euros a person this was a great deal: We each chose a horse and rode the Carousel by the Eiffel tower and had some fun. It was a nice little thing to do and wasn't terribly busy -- no line. They even took a great picture of me and my friend (which she bought) as it's rather hard to take a good selfie on a carousel when riding two different horses. In one of the touristy hot spots, it's good to have something with no lines to connect with our inner children.
This is a fun stop across the street from the Eiffel Tower. You can walk around and enjoy the scenery, carousel rides, souvenir shopping, and some tasty treats. There's a ham and cheese crepe topped with fries that appeared to be delightful. I already ordered my Nutella crepe so I missed out on that one. Service is fast and there's a variety of crepes and waffle options to choose from. You can also get some great pictures of the Eiffel from this side of the street.

On my second trip to Paris, I took my mother along. She has fairly simple dining needs and isn't the most adventurous. So after touring the Eiffel Tower and a bit famished, I noticed chien chaude was on offer by the nearby carrousel. So interested in checking out the French version on the hot dog, we decided to try it. We were not disappointed! So when I brought the GF to Paris, I knew I had to blow her mind. Could a French-style hot dog compete with the U.S.? Across the street from the NW section of the Eiffel Tower, right by the bridge, you'll notice the carrousel. And to the right of this, is a crepe stand. You can't leave Paris without trying a crepe and the ones here were pretty good, especially considering they are for eating on the go! They'll stuff your crepe with cheese, ham, and even a fried egg! Chien Chaude Fromage [7.50 Euros = $9.13] But first, let's get back to that hot dog. The GF was actually surprised by how good it was. The cheesy, crusty baguette was fresh and housed the hot dogs well (read: plural). The dogs also had nice snap and a salty savoriness. The mix of mayo and ketchup definitely makes sense - adding some acidity and creaminess to each bite. Maxi Complete Jambon [9.50 Euros = $11.57] Crepe, ham, cheese, egg, fries I probably should have stopped there, but considering we had arrived late on our first night in Paris and were scheduled for a boat ride by the Seine River, I went all out. I ordered the largest version of their crepe. It's filled with ham, cheese, egg, and topped with fries - talk about a carbo-gut-bomb. If you go this route, do get extra napkins because you'll find a decent pool of grease at the bottom of your crepe. I'd opt for some ketchup and mayo as well. Regardless, this was an enjoyable mess of gluttony, though not exactly the most delicate of endeavors. So if you're by the Eiffel Tower and need a quick snack, stop by the carrousel and order up a hot dog or a simple crepe. But if you're really starving, try the maxi complete jambon crepe. It requires two hands to hold and be sure to get those napkins!

The best crepes!! We had the cheese and ham and the Nutella grand marnier and bananas!!! He loaded our crepes with cheese and nutella!!! The best crêpes I've had so far!!!
The crepes won't disappointment! Lines appear long, but go fairly quick. The guys in the booth are fast and good at preparing orders. Each time we were down by the Eiffel Tower or waiting to ride the Bateaux Mouches the kids always had to get crepes. Banana and Nutella was a big hit, so was strawberries with anything. The batter for the crepes was perfectly light and sweet.
Getting ready to order crepes
Located at the base of the sparkling Eiffel Tower, the Carrousel was a fun treat. It was inexpensive (3 Euros,) and easily accessible with no line, and the guy let us ride twice. Perfect photo opp to capture the magic of Paris... I felt like a kid again!

enjoy the view of the City. It's amazing. Once you have climbed up you wont' feel like coming down to the earth. definitely an espectacular expereince
I bought tix to go up to the top of the ET. We only made it to the middle point :) but it was breath-taking and very impressive to be so close in the structure. The elevator itself moving sideways is a very strange experience. They also have stairs people did use to go up to 1/3 of the tower if you are afraid of elevators. But highly recommended to buy a tix in advance to skip the line. There was still a small line from those people who purchased ahead but better off then EVERYONE who arrives to buy tickets that day.
The lines were ridiculous. But the views très magnifique. Constant announcements about active pickpockets in the area were a bit disconcerting, though.
Sadly in today's age you have to go through a lot of security to get to the base and into the tower itself. In the tower is a place to eat and located around the base are places to shop. Save yourself time to do it all. This is also a huge landmark. You know it's big, but it's really impressive in person.

Hot dogs à la tour eiffel, 2020 project: day 100 april 9th, 2020.
A new special dog-appropriate poster for my wife Maggie’s play, Hot Dogs at the Eiffel Tower. I’ve done different posters for her over the years. But never one with a dog. I’ve fixed that now.
My wife Maggie’s show, which got raves at the Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival and had a successful run at the Hyde Park Theatre last autumn, has changed and grown over the years. If you watch it, you’ll understand how new discoveries meant rewrites. Some major. You’d know what I meant if you saw the latest version. AND YOU CAN! On Saturday April 11 at 8pm CST, they will stream a recording done last autumn to help support the theatre and entertain all the homestuck folk. Learn more here.

Moscow Metro
The Moscow Metro Tour is included in most guided tours’ itineraries. Opened in 1935, under Stalin’s regime, the metro was not only meant to solve transport problems, but also was hailed as “a people’s palace”. Every station you will see during your Moscow metro tour looks like a palace room. There are bright paintings, mosaics, stained glass, bronze statues… Our Moscow metro tour includes the most impressive stations best architects and designers worked at - Ploshchad Revolutsii, Mayakovskaya, Komsomolskaya, Kievskaya, Novoslobodskaya and some others.
What is the kremlin in russia?
The guide will not only help you navigate the metro, but will also provide you with fascinating background tales for the images you see and a history of each station.
And there some stories to be told during the Moscow metro tour! The deepest station - Park Pobedy - is 84 metres under the ground with the world longest escalator of 140 meters. Parts of the so-called Metro-2, a secret strategic system of underground tunnels, was used for its construction.
During the Second World War the metro itself became a strategic asset: it was turned into the city's biggest bomb-shelter and one of the stations even became a library. 217 children were born here in 1941-1942! The metro is the most effective means of transport in the capital.
There are almost 200 stations 196 at the moment and trains run every 90 seconds! The guide of your Moscow metro tour can explain to you how to buy tickets and find your way if you plan to get around by yourself.

Fun facts from our Moscow Metro Tours:
From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.
At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.
According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.
The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.
Coffee Ring
The first scheme of Moscow Metro looked like a bunch of separate lines. Listen to a myth about Joseph Stalin and the main brown line of Moscow Metro.
Zodiac Metro
According to some astrologers, each of the 12 stops of the Moscow Ring Line corresponds to a particular sign of the zodiac and divides the city into astrological sector.
Astrologers believe that being in a particular zadiac sector of Moscow for a long time, you attract certain energy and events into your life.
Paleontological finds
Red marble walls of some of the Metro stations hide in themselves petrified inhabitants of ancient seas. Try and find some!
- Every day each car in Moscow metro passes more than 600 km, which is the distance from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
- Moscow subway system is the 5th in the intensity of use (after the subways of Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai).
