Witness the famed pianist LIVE performing works from Underwater , his first new solo album in 20 years. Born in lockdown, Underwater displays the virtuoso’s unmistakable sound in its purest and most intimate form: just Einaudi and his piano.

CHECK-IN INFORMATION Location: Main Entrance Hours: 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM Please make sure the purchaser brings valid photo ID.* Check-in is where you will receive your package merchandise. PLEASE NOTE: Merchandise not picked up on-site during the above check-in hours cannot be shipped after the event. MEET & GREET DETAILS Please bring a camera (small digital camera or smartphone) with you to the meet & greet for your personal photograph with Ludovico Einaudi. Please make sure to have your camera or phone out and ready when it comes time to take your photo.

• Currently available for select price levels, based on availability.
• Visit the Texas Performing Arts Ticket Office at Bass Concert Hall to purchase tickets on Wed, Mar. 22 at 10 a.m. – Tues, Apr 4 at 8 p.m. Normal office hours are Mon-Fri from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
• Student rush tickets available IN PERSON only.
• Limit of two (2) tickets per student. Must show your student ID upon purchase.
• You must be present with your own ID to purchase - a friend may not purchase a rush ticket on your behalf.

Witness the famed pianist LIVE performing works from Underwater , his first new solo album in 20 years. Born in lockdown, Underwater displays the virtuoso’s unmistakable sound in its purest and most intimate form: just Einaudi and his piano.

Underwater features 12 transcendent solo piano tracks, beautifully showcasing Einaudi’s luminous, emotive, effortlessly lyrical, and supremely refined sound. This new album embraces the simple purity of songwriting, each note touched with an innocent, delicate beauty.

On the making of Underwater during the pandemic, Einaudi explains: “The music came naturally, more than ever before. I felt a sense of freedom to abandon myself and let the music flow differently. I didn’t have a filter between me and what came out of the piano; it felt very pure. The title Underwater is a metaphor—it is an expression of a very fluid dimension, without interference from outside.”

Underwater follows an exciting year for Einaudi, which saw the release of the soundtracks to Oscar, BAFTA, and Golden Globe-winning films Nomadland and The Father (which include tracks from his immensely popular 2019 release Seven Days Walking ), compilation album Cinema , showcasing Einaudi’s composition achievements in film and TV, and new podcast mini-series Experience: The Ludovico Einaudi Story , which features celebrated filmmakers including multiple award-winning actor and director Russel Crowe ( Gladiator ), Oscar-winning director Chloe Zhao ( Nomadland ), Academy Award winner Florian Zeller ( The Father ), Shane Meadows ( This is England ) and Eric Toledano ( The Intouchables ).

Einaudi is one of the most ubiquitous contemporary composers of the century, repeatedly topping the classical charts globally, and becoming the biggest streamed classical artist of all time. Einaudi transcends generations and, in addition to his chart and streaming accolades, enjoys more than 1 million YouTube subscribers, 10 million views, and 150 thousand pieces of content on TikTok.

Ludovico Einaudi was on a North American tour, playing before audiences in the thousands, when he stopped by the NPR office to play a far more intimate setting: a Tiny Desk set. It's the first tour for the Italian pianist and composer since the beginning of the pandemic, following the release of his 2022 album, Underwater . It's an album that captures how many have felt in the pandemic — feeling underwater, or trapped in another world.

It's that relatable feeling — like we're treading water trying to remain above the surface, powering through the adversity of the last two years — that makes Einaudi's music so emotional and reflective. The pulsating strings of the opening song to his Tiny Desk concert, the track "Experience" from his 2013 album In A Time Lapse , demand attention, captivating the audience. The fact that the song recently went viral due to a TikTok trend only proves how welcoming Einaudi's music is — and why he is the most-streamed classical pianist of all time.

Ludovico Einaudi's presence at the piano keeps you waiting for more. His fingers glide over the keys effortlessly, but he never seems rushed. As he plays, his eyes are closed. And in this concert, you can tell his music moves him as much as it does his audience.
