Bow Wow Announces All-New ‘Millennium Tour’ Lineup Featuring Keri Hilson, Mario, Day26, & More

Mario may have referred to the Omarion -toplined edition of the ‘Millennium Tour’ as “raggedy sh*t” during their VERZUZ battle in June, but it appears the GRAMMY-nominated singer has had a change of heart as he’s listed as one of the headliners for the forthcoming iternation of the highly anticipated North American jaunt.

Once again led by Bow Wow , the trek calls on some of the early 2000’s most popular Urban movers and shakers to unite for a night of nostalgic hits.

Having previously wowed crowds across the United States with a lineup that’s featured the likes of Ashanti, Pretty Ricky, Lloyd, Bobby V, Ying Yang Twins, Chingy , and more, this time new faces like Hilson and Day26 are being brought into the mix.

Taking to Instagram Friday ( August 12 ), Bow stunned his 4.7 million followers with the announcement he’s assembling Mario, Hilson, Day26, Lloyd, Pleasure P , Chingy, Lil Scrappy, Bobby V, Dem Franchize Boyz, Crime Mob, and Travis Porter for the newest version of the tour dubbed “The Millennium Tour: Turned Up!”   This will be the first ‘Millennium Tour’ to not feature Omarion.

Kicking off October 7 at Hampton, Virginia’s Hampton Coliseum, the 24-date trek will venture to major North American cities like Detroit, Miami, Atlanta, Houston, Chicago, New York City, and more before wrapping up in Oakland on November 27 .

Mario, Keri Hilson and Bow Wow Announce ‘Millennium Tour: Turned Up’ Dates

The star-studded lineup also includes day26, pleasure p and bobby v, to name a few..

The  Millennium Tour  continues to evolve. Mario, Keri Hilson and Bow Wow are at the top of the bill for the  Millennium Tour: Turned Up , announced today (Aug. 12). 

Powered by G-Squared Events ,  Millennium Tour: Turned Up  will also include a special reunion of R&B group Day26, plus Lloyd, Pleasure P , Bobby V, and Sammie. The latter four acts were on the previous  Millennium Tour , as well as Mario and Bow Wow.

It won’t be a full night of R&B, though. The tour will also feature performances by rap acts Ying Yang Twins, Chingy, Dem Franchize Boyz, Lil Scrappy, Travis Porter, Crime Mob and Trillville.

The 24-city tour kicks off Oct. 7 at Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia at Hampton Coliseum. From there, the crew will travel across the U.S., playing in major cities such as Baltimore, Detroit, Chicago, Dallas, Memphis and Miami.

The tour will conclude Nov. 27 at Oakland Arena in Oakland, California. 

Tickets will be available for presale beginning Thursday, Aug. 18, at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets will go on sale to the general public Friday, Aug. 19 at 10 a.m. local time. All tickets can be purchased at gsquaredevents.com .

Circling back to Day26, the group recently announced their reunion and plans to celebrate their 15th anniversary with new music.

On Aug. 26, they will perform a special virtual concert with all five original members.

While Day26 is reuniting, another is formalizing. Ray J, Sammie, Bobby V and Pleasure P recently announced their new group RSVP , following their bonus match during Mario and Omarion’s Verzuz battle.

Although Ray J isn’t included in the Millennium Tour: Turned Up , it wouldn’t be a surprise if the other three members preview new music.

Generational child star, actor, and rapper Bow Wow is headlining his second Millennium Tour and Eric Kelley got a chance to chop it up with him as he prepares for the tour and lets us in on what fans can expect.

Bow Wow spoke about what surprises he might have for the Charlotte show.

“I’ve reached out to some people. So Charlotte gonna be a big show. It’s almost sold out. I’m always trying to find ways to tap in with every city and, you know, bring special guests out.”

We had to ask if there was a possibility that he would bring out Ciara to do their hit “Like You” together.

“I’ve been trying to do it for a long time now. You know, I can honestly say, I haven’t really helped the situation much. I can’t understand why she wouldn’t.”

No Cici and Lil Bow Wow reunion this time, yall.

“Just the respect that I have for her husband too. We were teenagers, I mean, when we were dating, so it was kind of like, where I’m at now in my life, me having kids now, me being a father. Her being a wife and a mother and me actually respecting Russ. I respect Russ, I’m a fan of him on the field and off the field.”

At the start of his career, at just 13 years old the girls would go wild for the young star. Now, 35-years-old he shared one of the wildest moments that he’s experienced with a fan.

“I had three sold-out shows in Chicago in one day. And during one of the shows, during the intermission, I had a fan that actually jumped off the loading dock and went on top of the tour bus and would not get off. And so I came out and I took a picture with her. It was one of the craziest experiences ever.

Bow also talked about the release of his final album and why he plans to drop it with Death Row Records executive produced by Snoop Dogg and not So So Def records.

“Where I’m at now in life, I want to return home. Jermaine has always been a part of projects, all my albums,” he expressed and it’s kind of like me, and Snoop never had that chance to, you know, do something monumental together. You know, I mean, it’s like, he found me I started with him, then I was passed along to JD. So it was kind of like, now I want to, I want to leave my foster parents and, you know, can I go find my real parents?

He says the album is basically the soundtrack to his documentary he’s dropping on his life and coming up in the music industry as a teenager.

“I live the crazy life, you know? Whether they’ve been publicized things. Who am I talking to? To the moves I’ve made, and I feel like now I got that up and down roller coaster type of life to where now I know how to put it on display for people.”

There was a distinct high that cocooned the first Millennium Tour in 2019. It was a moment for girls-turned-women to travel back to a time when they were screaming teenagers who collected Word Up! posters. The boys we once fawned over had reminded us that they were grown men now, that time was simply a social construct. For all intents and purposes, a perfectly frozen moment in time was thawed out right when we needed.

Despite Day26’s long-awaited reunion being filled with minor technical difficulties, the quintet powered through like the professionals they were molded to be. Their brief set prompted two questions though: when is their next Bryan-Michael Cox-produced album coming and why isn’t Making The Band available to stream? In hindsight, some parts of the concert should’ve been cut to make room for them to have a longer set.

The “Tell Me” crooner channeled his combative Verzuz energy as he declared, “n****s told me I couldn’t sing,” while finishing an acoustic run of “Turn The Page.” He was also the first act of the night to include background dancers, jumping off the stage platform as “Pimpin’ All Over The World” blared throughout the arena. To say he was doing a lot is an understatement. He ended his set with a mic drop after proclaiming, “‘ Verzuz ’ ain’t over. N****s can’t f**k with me.”

With similar exuberance, his RSVP bandmate Pleasure P used a movie trailer to usher in his set. Rocking a red fur coat, black leather pants, and a new blonde look before diving into his solo records, the Miami-bred singer branded himself the new “bad boy of R&B” with co-signs from Keith Sweat and Teddy Riley. The first surprise guest of the show was his brother, Spectacular, who aided him in performing their Pretty Ricky records “Grind With Me,” “Your Body,” and “On The Hotline.”

After thrusting the air and breaking out into a glisten, RSVP— Ray J , Sammie, Bobby V, and Pleasure P—recreated the “One Wish” viral moment from Verzuz before announcing their debut single , “Money Everywhere.” Their album’s release date was not announced.

Despite the brief escapism experienced with Thicke’s cooing of “Lost Without You,” the turn-up continued with the South taking over for the ‘99 and the 2000s. The Travis Porter -Crime Mob portion of the evening was evocative, transforming the room into a HBCU Homecoming afterparty. Between twerking in the aisles and all of us rapping along to “Knuck If You Buck” live as though it was a Sunday service, this is community personified. A personal apex was the present and the past coming together as Trillville performed “Some Cut” as their dancers hit Victoria Monét ’s viral choreography.

Later, Lil Jon popped up for a few songs while the Ying Yang Twins dedicated their set to “ the spirit of Takeoff. ” By the end of their set, the high energy declined at lightning speed. It seemed that many people tuned out Keri Hilson and Mario,  who are mostly known for their ballads. Even Mario’s featured guests Ty Dolla $ign and O.T. Genasis couldn’t reignite the show’s spark.

Bow Wow, the night’s main headliner, did his best to hype the crowd up with fan-favorites. His unfiltered 2005 diss track, “Fresh Azimiz,” was the perfect way to crank things back up. Dem Franchize Boyz—Parlae and Pimpin’—took centerstage to join Bow for a lively rendition of their collab, “I Think They Like Me (Remix)” sans Da Brat. The now-duo then performed their hit single, “Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It.” As the child prodigy took us on a ride with timeless gems like “Take Ya Home” and “Bounce With Me” before his daughter, Shai in lieu of Ciara, appeared for “Like You.” It may have been inching towards the end, but the rap phenom kept his set confined to the strict midnight deadline.

Despite Bow alluding to a potential Millennium Tour IV in 2023, the concert series either needs to end or change—no in-between. There are so many artists to be called upon for a tour that celebrates the 2000s. Both Chris Brown and Ne-Yo can have full sets based on their debut albums alone. Call upon Ginuwine, Donnell Jones, Mýa, or Monica. The era of the heartthrob may be dormant with current acts, but it’s clear authoritative veterans can still sell out shows.

Another idea might be is to hone in on quality over quantity by having less acts on the bill. Nonetheless, this tour needs to grow up—its fans already have.

Omarion and Bow Wow Announce 'Millennium Tour' Dates

The “Millennium Tour” is coming back this fall.

After being delayed due to the pandemic, Omarion and Bow Wow have announced new dates for their joint tour. This time around, they will be joined by Ashanti, plus special guests Soulja Boy, Ying Yang Twins, Lloyd, Sammie, and Pretty Ricky.

The 27-date trek kicks off Oct. 1 at L.A.’s The Forum before making its way to arenas across the country, with stops in Detroit, Atlanta, Houston, Chicago, Miami, and Memphis, wrapping Nov. 26 in Las Vegas.

Omarion and Bow Wow were originally set to tour last year before the COVID-19 pandemic canceled tour dates. The original “Millennium Tour” was headlined by B2K in 2019 and grossed over $28 million .

Before bringing their live show to a city near you, Bow Wow and his tourmate Soulja Boy will face off during their highly-anticipated Verzuz battle on Saturday, June 26.

The "Millenium Tour" is making yet another comeback!

On Friday (June 18), Bow Wow and Omarion announced the tour dates for the nationwide tour, which was delayed in 2020 due to concerns over the coronavirus pandemic.

“We got unfinished business to handle!” Bow, who is gearing up for his upcoming Verzuz battle with Soulja Boy , wrote on social media. “…. WE OWE YOU GUYS. This what you been waiting on… lets go! We back outside!!!!!”

The tour will include special appearances from Ashanti , Soulja Boy, Pretty Ricky , the Ying Yang Twins , and Sammie . While B2K headlined the 2019 tour, they are not involved this time around.

As fans know, the return of the "Millennium Tour" was announced in November 2019. The tour was supposed to kick off in Louisville, Kentucky, in February 2020, but was postponed amidst fears over the pandemic.

The 2021 tour will begin on October 1 in Los Angeles before making stops in Oakland, Detroit, Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, and Miami — to name a few — before ultimately wrapping up on November 26 in Las Vegas.

Tickets for the tour go on sale the same day as Bow and Soulja's highly-anticipated Verzuz battle on Saturday, June 26.

“The Millennium Tour” returns in 2020 with a lineup full of nostalgic fan favorites from the 2000s, including Omarion, Bow Wow, Ying Yang Twins, Lloyd, Sammie, Pretty Ricky and Soulja Boy. Fans validated that R&B reunion tours are in high demand with the successful run of “The Millennium Tour 2019” in arenas across the country. In 2020, Omarion will be joined by fellow “Face Off” collaborator Bow Wow to relive their joint project from late 2007.

December 31, 2018 – Multi-platinum R&B group B2K (Omarion, Boog, Fizz and Raz-B) will kick off a limited engagement tour in March 2019, entitled “The Millennium Tour.” The iconic group – along with special guests Mario, Pretty Ricky, Lloyd, Ying Yang Twins, Chingy, and Bobby V – will visit over 25 cities across the U.S. The tour is produced by G-Squared Events in association with Omarion Worldwide, Hall of Fame Entertainment and Blvd. Music.

B2K was the quintessential R&B boys group of the 2000s whose impact on the culture has remained steadfast. Although the group disbanded over a decade ago, their music has consistently stayed on top of streaming playlist and they remain a hot topic of mainstream conversation on reality TV and social media.  Known for their chart-topping tracks including “BUMP, BUMP, BUMP,” “Uh Huh,” “What A Girl Wants,” “Why I love You” and “Girlfriend,” B2K kept the girls screaming. Not only were they breaking hearts, they were breaking records, electrifying the airwaves, and blazing the stage with their signature dance moves.  In 2000, B2K made a cameo appearance in  Lil' Bow Wow 's music video “ Ghetto Girls ” and opened on the “Scream Tour I” and the stage was set. B2K would become one of the most unforgettable and highly sought-after groups in the 2000s.

B2K went on to break pop charts in 2001 with their single "Uh Huh." The group's debut album, “ B2K ” was released on March 12, 2002, and peaked at number 2 on the  Billboard 200  and number 1 on the U.S.  Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs  albums chart.  The album included follow-up singles " Gots Ta Be ," charting at 34 on the Top 40. The single, "Why I Love You" was released in the spring and the album was certified Gold by the summer.

B2K released their second album, “ Pandemonium! ” on December 10, 2002, which debuted at number 10 on the Billboard 200 and at number 3 on Top R&B/Hip Hop albums. The group released their fourth single, “ Bump, Bump, Bump ,” which featured P. Diddy . The single became B2K's first top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, ultimately reaching number 1 on February 1, 2003. The single “Girlfriend” was released in 2003, and broke the top 40 and the R&B Top 20 by charting at number 30 and number 19, respectively. The music video had loads of star power including Will Smith ,  Vivica A. Fox , and Ronald Isley.

In 2003, B2K filmed the millennial cult classic “ You Got Served . ” The star-studded cast included; IMx members  Marques Houston  and  Jerome Jones , Steve Harvey , and actress  Meagan Good . The film spawned a soundtrack, which included the single "Badaboom,” featuring rapper Fabolous. The single reached number 51 on the Billboard Hot 100. B2K rounded the year off with a Kids' Choice Award for Favorite Music Group.

The magic they made on and off the stage could not prevent the group from disbanding as the members sought to pursue their solo careers. Since then, the fans have craved more of what they served in the 2000’s. More than a decade later, and after long-awaited reunions and biopics from figures of hip-hop and R&B’s golden years like Tupac, Guy, RBRM, and Xscape, the 1990s and early 2000s are primed for reflection and a reunion tour from B2K  is right on time.
