7. Museum of the American GI

The Museum of the American GI was first opened in 2002 and is dedicated to educating guests all about those who have been in service in the United States.

To that end, the museum has a huge amount of military memorabilia including restored tanks, boats, and planes from the Second World War and the Vietnam War.

There are also static exhibitions that contain a wealth of other period artifacts such as letters, photographs, and other historical documents, and you will even find 3,417 dog tags on display to represent military personnel from Texas who were killed or declared missing during the Vietnam War.

8. Bonfire Memorial

The Aggie Bonfire was known for being a ritual that took place every time the football team at College Station played the University of Texas, and the tradition of having a bonfire was first started in 1909. In 1999 however the bonfire was incorrectly constructed and 12 people were killed as a result.

In its place a memorial has now been erected that features twelve stone arches, each one of which points towards the hometown of one of the victims.

Many visitors to College Station find that this is one of the most moving experiences that they have here, and the memorial is located in an area of parkland that makes it a serene spot to visit.

Adamson Lagoon

Built in 1976, Adamson Lagon is an Olympic-sized swimming pool that is open to all in College Station.

This pool has incredible features such as a tadpole slide, a large serpentine slide, a pas walk, and a water basketball.

This attraction is family-oriented and only costs $6 for admission.

Veterans Park And Athletic Complex

Veteran Park And Athletic Complex , prides itself on being an abyss for recreation.

It features a large space for soccer, and baseball fields, and a monument of local veterans.

The playgrounds and amenities are excellent for soccer, baseball, lacrosse, and more.

There is also a large jungle gym tucked under the pavilion where visitors can stretch and sweat a little.

Children also have their own space in the musical garden where they can run around and burn some heat.

Nevertheless, this site is one you should visit once you are in College Station.

Most people know that College Station is home to Texas A&M University, but the city is also one of the best places in Texas to dine, sightsee, shop, relax, and learn a bit about world history. Yes — all that surprised me, too! Though Aggieland is the city’s baby, College Station is much more than a college town — it offers a variety of attractions and unique experiences for people of all ages. It’s also known for its friendliness: You’ll be greeted with an enthusiastic “Howdy!” wherever you go. The residents are always willing to lend a hand or offer their recommendations. 

College Station is about 95 miles from Houston and roughly a 3-hour drive from Dallas . Whether you’re looking for things to do on a weekend getaway or checking out the university for your future college student, College Station is in full swing. Here are several attractions and experiences in the city that you should consider.

My stay was hosted by Visit College Station and Cavalry Court. All opinions are my own.

Things To Do In College Station

In College Station, not only can you get creative with your hands, eat delicious food, shop at some nice boutiques, and stay in a quaint hotel, but you can take self-guided tours of several attractions to learn more about world history. As I was planning my trip, I realized that one of my favorite Sunday-morning shows has a store in College Station, so I made The Texas Bucket List my first stop and the King Ranch Saddle Shop my second stop. While I was there, I learned that President George H. W. Bush, Barbara Bush, and their oldest daughter are all buried in College Station. I had a surreal visit and was in awe practically the whole time I was there.

Visit The George H. W. Bush Presidential Library And Museum

Although the George H. W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum was closed when I was there, we did walk the grounds, where we saw a piece of the Berlin Wall, the gravesites of the former president and his wife, and a beautifully manicured lawn with gorgeous blooming flowers. That alone made my heart happy.

Pay Your Respects At The Veterans Park & Athletic Complex

The designers of the Veterans Park & Athletic Complex originally envisioned a space where families could come out to enjoy picnics, baseball games, and playgrounds. But they later realized it would be the perfect outdoor site to dedicate to veterans of our nation’s major wars. Today, the Brazos Valley Veterans Memorial is one of America’s finest collections of war memorials. You’ll see life-size statues, a Wall of Honor, interpretive panels, and memorial sites here.

You can visit for free to catch a baseball game and take a tour of the Brazos Valley Veterans Memorial. Quite honestly, I knew very little about the wars that went on in our day, and I felt a bit overwhelmed as a long-time resident of College Station took us around, talked about the wars, and described every statue out there, even Rosie the Riveter. It was a surreal moment for me. I might have shed a tear or two. I can’t wait to go back and see the 9/11 Memorial they are working on.

Pro Tip : The paved trails around the memorial are great for running or walking your dog. There are plenty of benches along the trail, and there are restrooms on-site.

Stroll Through The Gardens At Texas A&M University

A public garden with more than 7 acres of gorgeous seasonal flowers, an abundance of greenery, and a little river running through it, The Gardens at Texas A&M University offers quite the space to enjoy some fresh air and nature. Bring a picnic to enjoy. While perusing the website, be sure to look for special events happening throughout the year. Admission is always free, and parking is free on weekends.

Shop And Spa In Century Square

Just outside of Cavalry Court at Century Square, where I stayed, is a world of shopping. The popular King Ranch Saddle Shop makes its home in the square, as does the Galleria Spa Salon Boutique , voted the best day spa in the Brazos Valley for 16 consecutive years. You’ll also find Lucchese Boots and many other upscale shops and boutiques.

Stop To Smell The Flowers At Basecamp Farms

Just outside of College Station is an outdoor venue where you can cut your own flowers, explore a flower shop, take a tour, and sign up for a photography session among the big, beautiful sunflowers the farm is known for. You can even try your hand at making your own dried flower wreath. Basecamp Farms is a place to unwind, feel the grass between your toes, and take in the sunshine.

Explore Lick Creek Park

If you’re a nature buff, Lick Creek Park is the place to wander. Its nature center is a 2,400-square-foot facility with meeting rooms, outdoor classrooms, an amphitheater, native plant displays, and a monarch butterfly garden. You’ll enjoy nature to the fullest on the park’s paved and natural trails, watching for resident birds, butterflies, and snakes. 

Experience The Northgate Entertainment District

If nightlife is more your style, then check out the Northgate Entertainment District . When the evening rolls around, this area is hopping with eclectic venues. Head to the world-famous Dixie Chicken , the oldest bar in town, and Bottle Cap Alley , where kids and adults alike can throw their caps on the ground. Where else could you do that and not get in trouble?

Restaurants In College Station

In addition to coffee at Stella Southern Cafe , lunch at C&J Barbeque , dinner at Solt , and drinks at The Canteen Bar & Grill , I recommend these restaurants in College Station.

1860 Italia

1860 Italia is a great place for oven-fired pizza, but also for bruschetta and grilled salmon with lemon and herbs, which is what I had. I could have had it the very next day as well — it was that delicious! If dessert is in order, plan to share the biggest piece of chocolate cake known to man. The four of us could not finish it! One lucky wife got to enjoy the rest.

The Republic Steakhouse

Steak, wine, and whiskey — take your pick, or go for all three! The Republic Steakhouse is open for dinner, and reservations are highly recommended. I also highly recommend the oysters, a glass of wine, and then steak if you’re looking for a nice meat meal.

Sal’s Garpez

I always want to eat where the locals do. Sal’s Garpez is one of those spots. It’s a local dive inside a gas station serving authentic Mexican food: breakfast tacos. Dine in or take yours to go; either way, you’ll have to wait — it’s that good. Look for the Shell at Highway 6 and Harvey Road. 

Primrose Path Wine Bar

Primrose Path Wine Bar is a quaint place to go for lunch or dinner in a pretty setting. Get ready to be dazzled by the charm and by the beautiful chandelier hanging over the bar. You’ll enjoy the complete wine list, whiskey list, and artisan cheeses and charcuterie trays.

Gate 12 Bar & Grill

Gate 12 Bar & Grill offers great food and an amazing view of the planes taking off and landing at College Station’s only airport. When we were there, we saw at least 10 planes coming in for a landing. The chocolate cake was divine. Ask for spoons for the whole party and share it — it’s rich!

Hotels In College Station

While College Station offers the usual chain hotels, it also has some of the best boutique hotels I’ve ever run across. It may be tough to reserve a room for a time when a big event is going on, so if you’re planning a visit, book early. 

Cavalry Court

Cavalry Court , an urban resort with a relaxed vibe and luxury amenities, is located in Century Square. You can splash in the pool, play in the courtyard, have a bite to eat in the adjacent Canteen Bar & Grill, and walk to the shops. A laid-back and fun scene is what you’ll find at Cavalry Court, where I was hosted. Relax on the patio while sipping handcrafted toddies from the bar, and enjoy live music on Friday and Saturday nights. You’ll also find complimentary bikes to ride.

The George , a one-of-a-kind boutique hotel where luxury meets rusticity, is directly across from Cavalry Court. In the lobby, there’s a wall of books arranged to look like the Texas flag. You’ll enjoy the finest of things here, and you can even shop for luxury items in the gift shop.

Vineyard Court

In the heart of College Station, Vineyard Court , a much-loved boutique hotel, can house you and your entire family in one of their designer suites fit for a king. They are the only College Station hotel with a dog park, and all dogs stay for free.

Pro Tip: You won’t meet a stranger in College Station. If you need guidance, just ask, and you’ll get your answer and then some!

The George Bush Presidential Library and Museum is unique in many ways. This place is where the former president was buried, alongside his wife.

The museum inside contains hundreds of artifacts and memorabilia dedicated to the 41st president. What’s more, there is a great replica of the oval office inside, and you can sit in the presidential chair and have your picture taken!

Museum of the American G.I.

The Museum of the American G.I. is dedicated to all soldiers who fought for us and the country. They’ve dedicated this space to educating people and preserving a number of military artifacts.

You’ll see World War II tanks, boats from the Vietnam era, and even planes outside the museum.

They even have an annual event called “Living History Museum,” where cannons are fired, weapons are fired, and you’ll see engines coming to life.

Inside, different exhibits have uniforms, equipment, photographs, and other memorabilia in their collection. A display you can’t miss is the Texas Vietnam Heroes exhibit. Here, you’ll see on display 3,417 dog tags of the Texan veterans who were killed or pronounced missing during the Vietnam War.

Children’s Museum of the Brazos Valley

A great indoor spot for the little ones is the Children’s Museum of the Brazos Valley, located in the neighboring city Bryan. 

The children’s museum has an interactive and hands-on take to their exhibits and display. They encourage learning through play and have a diverse range of attractions.

You should look out for the spaceship you can climb into and the replica H-E-B store. There’s also a construction site for more pretend play where they can get creative with the tools and make something new.

Other exhibits in the museum are about animals, mother nature, and even board games. Come and spend the day here with the kids!

Sanders Corps of Cadet Center

You’ll find Sanders Corps of Cadet Center inside Texas A&M University. The museum commemorates all the past and present cadets of the university.

If you’re looking to learn more about their Corps of Cadets, this is the place to be.

They have over 60 exhibits with more than 600 photographs plus memorabilia all about the cadets. Some of the exhibits in the area also highlight classic Texas A&M traditions like 12th Man, the Silver Taps, and the Muster.

Brazos Valley Natural History Museum

This natural history museum is one of the only one of its kind in the area. They are all about natural history and our respectful interaction with nature.

It’s in the neighboring city of Bryan, and it’s a perfect destination if you’re traveling with kids .

Aside from learning more about natural history, the museum also highlights plants, minerals, and animals that you’ll only find in the Brazos Valley.

Some highlights inside include their Discovery Room, where live animals are on display. There are also taxidermy displays here that could be a hit for the kids.

They also have Natural and Cultural exhibits all about the relationship between people and nature. If you’re interested, they also have the Boonville Heritage Park just outside the museum.

Santa’s Wonderland

If you find yourself on a trip to College Station between November to January, then you’re in luck. College Station has some of the best Christmas-themed destinations in the area with Santa’s Wonderland! This is one of our Top Picks for the best things to do in College Station! 

There’s a little bit of something for everyone, from families, couples, and solo travelers. 

The top thing to do for families is the Hayride tour, where you’ll see the lights and experience the live music and spectacular views. For a bit of romance, there are intimate horse and carriage tours.

You can also meet Santa, walk through the trail of lights, and go ice-skating. Santa’s Town also has several dining options, live entertainment, and stores with many Christmas-themed products and gifts.

Lick Creek Park

Lick Creek Park is just one of the many nature parks in College Station. It’s not the most popular park, so you’re sure to get some peace and even avoid the crowds.

The highlight of the park is the Lick Creek Nature Center. The nature center has native plant displays and a monarch butterfly garden, and they offer tours if you’re interested.

The park is also an excellent place for birdwatching and nature studies if you’d rather be out in nature. There’s a lot of flora and fauna in the park, even an endangered plant.

Lick Creek also has a five-mile walking and hiking trail and a bike trail that connects to Creek View Park.

Research Park

After a tour of the Bush Library, you can take a stroll through Research Park right beside the library. The 40-acre park is popular with tourists and students as well.

Being inside Texas A&M University, you’ll see many college students taking a break here. But who could blame them? The park is scenic and relaxing.

Lay down your blanket for a picnic or take a stroll through the interconnected ponds of the park. You can also do some outdoor recreation with their 18-hole disk golf course that welcomes people of all skill levels. There are also walking and running paths here.

Just beware of the ducks and turtles in the area! There are plenty of them here.

Messina Hof

There are many cool vineyards and breweries in Texas, and College Station doesn’t disappoint on this front. This vineyard is one of the local favorites and a must-try to anyone passing by the city.

There are constant tours that’ll take you backstage from when these are still grapes until they make a fine bottle of wine. Indulge yourself as well with their wine tasting and tasting room.

They have a lot of different blends, all set for different occasions, and you can take a sip while you’re there.

Wine tours last about an hour, and afterward, you can grab a bite at their on-site restaurant. 

Northgate District

Northgate District is where the city comes alive after the sun comes down.

The district is filled with bars, pubs, restaurants, and even hotels . You’ll have your pick of whatever nightlife entertainment you want on your trip.

Just know that the crowd can be a mix of students, locals, and even tourists. There are also a number of spots for live music, entertainment, and al fresco dining.

This neighborhood is also where you’ll find some of the best College Town restaurants. Try some Tex Mex or barbecue to complete your Northgate experience.

Bonfire Memorial

The Bonfire Memorial has a tragic story behind it that makes this outdoor sculpture even more meaningful.

A Texas bonfire tradition since 1909 led to an accident in 1999 where 12 people were killed. The bonfire was a ritual every time the College Station football team had a game with the University of Texas.

The 12 stone arches you see in the Bonfire Memorial today represent each one of the victims. Each of the structures faces the victim’s hometown.

It’s a sad story to hear, and you’ll learn more about its history with a tour of the memorial.

If you like football, there is no better place to watch a game than in Kyle Field.

It’s been renovated a couple of times, but it’s now one of the biggest stadiums in the state with over 100,000-spectator capacity. The football field is the home of the Texas A&M football team, and you’ll find it inside the campus.

It’s an impressive stadium, and definitely, somewhere you should visit if watching football is your thing.

Benjamin Knox Gallery and Wine Depot

If you’re expecting wine and art judging by the name, then you would be right. The Benjamin Knox Gallery and Wine Depot is a huge art gallery in College Station and one of the largest in Texas.

Their collection revolves around Benjamin Knox’s works, but you can also explore other artists here.

The gallery is located in the historic College Station train depot where the city got its name. There are two buildings in the complex, the College Station train depot and the Bluebonnet Gallery.

You’ll also find the beer and other spirits on The Wine Bar on-site.

Dixie Chicken

You can’t leave College Station without trying Dixie Chicken. It’s considered a local legend in the city and located in the Northgate District.

There are even stories about how this was the site of the most beer drank in the country. These are the feel-good stories and vibes you’ll get driving by Dixie Chicken.

And, let’s be honest, anyone planning to visit is usually doing so because of something connected with the Aggies (Gig ’em!).

Tour the george h. w. bush presidential library..

The George H. W. Bush Presidential Library is not only a library, but it also serves as a museum used to preserve and make available the records and artifacts of George H.W. Bush, The 41st President of the United States of America.

The museum is home to the burial site of George H. W. Bush, and his wife Barbara Bush.

Once you have paid your respects, go ahead and head inside to check out limitless opportunities for learning, and hundreds of available public programs.

The museum houses more than 100,000 artifacts, most of which are gifts given to President and Mrs. Bush during his term in office, including gifts he received from foreign heads of state.

You will also find artifacts from President Bush’s 8 years as vice president, and his many additional years as a public servant. The museum also has a replica oval office you can visit and have your picture taken in!

Visit POETS Billiards and Bar.

Once you are done shopping make sure to head over to POETS for some beer and billiards! POETS was opened in 2000. Head on over and enjoy a fun night of pool, darts, beer, Karaoke, and some live music.

anta’s Wonderland is a seasonal amusement park in College Station which recreates a Christmas village right in the middle of Texas. Make sure you bring everyone out for some family fun.

Santas Wonderland features hayrides, light displays, a Texas-sized gingerbread village, a petting zoo, pony rides and we can’t forget the real Texas snow!

Santa’s Wonderland opens its doors on November 13th and stays open thru December. They also hold all kinds of events so make sure you check out their website to see what they have going on while you are in town.

Visit Texas A&M’s Kyle Field.

Texas A&M’s Kyle Field has been home to Aggieland football since 1905. It became a concrete stadium in 1927 and can sit over 100,000 people. Kyle Field is the largest football stadium in the SEC, and also the fourth largest stadium in the NCAA, the fourth largest stadium in the United States, and the sixth-largest, nonracing stadium in the world!

Of course, the best way to experience Kyle Field and hands down one of the best things to do in College Station would be to attend a game, where you can experience not only some great football but Aggie traditions like the 12th Man, Yell Leaders, and Reveille (the Rough Collie that is A&M’s official mascot) in person.

However, even apart from game days, you can still tour the field .

The museum of the American GI was founded in 2001 by Brent Mullins, his wife Leisha, and fellow military enthusiast Emmett Fox. A year later the museum purchased 40 acres in college station for the purpose of establishing a history museum dedicated to preserving the uniforms, equipment, and history of the American servicemen and women.

The museum displays one of the finest collections of WWII and later war memorabilia. This includes but is not limited to World War II Era tanks, Vietnam era patrol boats, and some m18 Hellcats.

Every year the museum hosts a “Living History Museum” weekend. During this weekend you can see engines come to life, and ancient artillery cannons and weapons firing. The museum is also home to the Texas Vietnam Heroes Exhibit. This exhibit is made up of 3,417  personalized dog tags honoring Texans killed or missing in the Vietnam War.

Visit Research Park.

Right outside the presidential library, you will find Texas A&M’s Research Park. Enjoy an evening walk through the beautiful Texas scenery.

If you are hungry you can also throw a blanket on the ground and have a picnic next to the pond under the tall trees, just make sure you keep an eye out for ducks and other wildlife!

Research Park is also the only 18 hole disc golf course in College Station. It has multiple tees, no pins, and has mach 3 holes. The course sits on TAMU property so it is mowed regularly and kept beautifully.

Head out to the Peach Creek Vineyards.

If you’re wanting to go out on a romantic date, or even if you’re just having an evening out with your friends, you should definitely check out Peach Creek Vineyards!

Peach Creek Vineyards is located on Highway 6 between College Station, and the city of Navasota . They have plenty of wines to choose from regardless of what you like they will have something for you. They have a huge selection of red, white, rose, and specialty wines.

The unique location for this vineyard lets you enjoy the wildlife as you taste test their wines. You can taste up to 6 of their fine wines for $10+ tax. Tours are offered by appointment only and are weather permitting.

This is because they offer a “Vines to Wines” tour which shows you how everything starts in the vineyard and ends up in a wine bottle.

If your family has a furry family member then good news! Peach Creek Vineyards does allow pets inside, just make sure you check out their website for all their rules and regulations before you show up.

Visit Grand Station Entertainment.

Grand Station Entertainment is the biggest entertainment venue in the College Station area.

Grand Station is a great place for family fun, including bowling, playing arcade games, laser tag, and dining. 

Once you are done playing and have worked up an appetite, don’t forget to head over to their dining area and get yourself something to eat, where you’ll find classic laid-back American food like burgers and pizza.

Go treasure hunting at Trader Town.

If you like treasure hunting I would recommend adding Trader Town, formerly known as the Jockey Lot Flea Market, to your list of things to do in College Station.

Trader Town has a long history in the College Station area and it is filled with local merchants, food, and plenty of family fun.

One thing that makes Trader Town unique is that you never know what you will find. They have vendors inside and outside and you can find anything from farm animals to fresh fruit, electronics, jewelry, auto parts and so much more. After you’re done walking around make sure you stop by their food court for refreshments.

Inside you can find snow cones, ice cream, funnel cakes, burgers, hotdogs, and Mexican food among other things. The menu seems to be endless and filled with plenty of delicious foods, treats, and desserts.

Trader Town is only open on weekends, and Sunday is the most popular (and therefore crowded) day to visit.

Check out the Northgate District.

The Northgate District is located North of Texas A&M University, and it spans over 145 acres and is the heart of College Station entertainment.

Northgate was established in the 1930s when the city began to grow rapidly from the influx of Texas A&M University students, professors, and their families.

In 1938 Northgate became home to College Stations’ first city hall, and today, visiting definitely belongs on your list of what to do in College Station.

 A&M students fill the district in the evenings and weekends. Here you can find plenty of bars, restaurants, bowling alleys, and so much more.

Wow, I graduated from Texas A&M in the Mid-80s. Kyle Field & Northgate were the only tourist spots on the current list in those days. TAMU has doubled in enrollment in the past four decades. The combined population of BCS was roughly 90K.

Meet the 12th Man

A&M’s campus has a number of other things to see and do, such as the Bonfire Memorial, the student center, and several art galleries. But one of its biggest draws is a relatively new fixture on campus, the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum . Among the more than 30 permanent exhibits are a replica of the “Bush 41” Oval Office, a mock Press Room, displays of gifts received from foreign heads of state, and a section of the Berlin Wall. Bonfire Memorial

The Bonfire Memorial began back in the year 1907 as just a scrap heap and has grown into a vertical stack of logs, all the while symbolizing the “burning desire” in every Aggie to defeat the University of Texas football team. This bonfire burned every year up through 1998, except for in 1963 when it was torn down in tribute to President John F. Kennedy. It also didn’t burn in 1999 due to it collapsing on November 18, killing twelve and injuring 27 other Aggies. The Bonfire Memorial was dedicated five years later as a memorial to these fallen people.

7 Min Drive from Downtown College Station

At Veteran’s Park Loop , you can learn about history while exercising! It is, as the name implies, a memorial to every war and conflict in which the United States has been involved. While that is interesting, this trail also includes baseball fields and a memorial to local veterans. It is a 1.6-mile loop trail near College Station, Texas that takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. A fantastic way to go biking, running, or walking! 

However, there isn’t much shade along this trail, so bring sunscreen and water with you. If you get tired, there are benches and picnic tables, as well as restrooms if nature calls. So, make sure to visit Veteran’s Park Loop and bring your pets.

Wolf Pen Creek Park

8 Min Drive from Downtown College Station

Looking for a place with fresh air and free from the noise of the city? Then hike at Wolf Pen Creek Park in College Station, TX. This 5.0-mile out-and-back trail is an easy route where you can road bike, run, walk, and enjoy the scenery. The trail usually takes an average of 1 h 36 min to complete so be sure to bring some snacks and water along. It also has a disc-golf course and an amphitheater for outdoor concerts, plays, and festivals. 

Just know that there are uphill and downhill paths here so be sure not to slip. If you do slip, there are plenty of benches to rest at! And yes, pets are welcome but must be leashed at all times. Bring along your family and friends and enjoy the fun!

Deer Run Trail

11 Min Drive from Downtown College Station

Deer Run Trail is a trail in Lick Creek Park. It is a 3.1-mile out-and-back hike that takes you by a river located near College Station, TX. You can explore this easy route by hiking and mountain biking or birding! 

The trail itself is beautiful to walk through any time of the year, but it is especially nice to visit in the fall when the leaves are changing colors and on cool winter days when you need a bit of sunlight to warm up. There are plenty of trees and flowers to look at along the way as well so it never gets boring. The trail is wide and has some shade, but it also has places where you can stop to take pictures if you want a bit of a break from walking. Also, there are benches along the way as well as restrooms that are wheelchair accessible so you can stop for a bit if needed. If you have pets, be sure to keep them on a leash!

If you’re looking for an easier hike, this one might be for you. There are some steep spots along the way but it’s not too hard overall. The total distance is 3.1 miles and it takes an average of 1 h 9 min, so plan accordingly if you’re bringing kids or pets with you!

Yaupon Loop Trail

The Yaupon Loop is another trails at Lick Creek Park in College Station, Texas. It features a 0.9-mile loop through the woods and around a large open field. The trail takes about 17 minutes to complete, making it an easy trail for most walkers and hikers.

It’s a popular trail for both mountain biking and running, but it’s not heavily trafficked which makes it an enjoyable experience any time of day. There are some beautiful sights to see along the trail—like oak and elm trees, Mexican plum trees, and American beautyberry bushes! Of course, you’ll also see plenty of oak and elm trees as well as hickories, cedars, and farkleberries. You can also see some local wildlife located near Wellborn, TX! This trail is lovely and can be enjoyed by hikers at any time of the year. Dogs are welcome, but please remember to bring a water bowl and keep them on a leash.

Raccoon Run Trail

This 2.5-mile loop trail is an easy hike located near College Station, Texas which takes about 45 minutes to complete just be sure to bring some snacks, water, and a leash in case!
