Deceptive Practices and Unethical Behavior

Policybazaar's deceptive tactics are despicable. Despite paying for car insurance based on a car value of 32,231 AED, they shamelessly reduced it to 18,959 AED after payment and asked for more money to honor the original agreement. This behavior shows they don't care about honesty or their customers' trust. Even after explaining the situation multiple times to their customer service team, they closed the case without resolving the issue. I had to report them to the UAE insurance authority. I strongly advise against using Policybazaar and suggest finding a more trustworthy insurance provider that values integrity and respects its customers.

I have applied for term insurance and made the payment in Jan 21st. Its been a month even after comleting the medical the policy is not yet activated.they are simply holding the money since one month and there is no response from them. its been more than 20 days I have completed the medical test.However neither policy bazar nor insurance provide did not share any info whether this polciy is approved or not. Verry bad Experience, On 28.12.2023, I had applied for a TATA AIA fortune pro grip combo plan, even though I was submitted all the documents and made the payment from the beginning, but till date I didn’t receive the policy, From last month onwards, twice a week I have been receiving calls from your customer care department, and as usual they apologize for the delay and inform me that the policy will be ready within 48 hours.

No assistance after insurance purchase

Hi, I had applied for a combo insurance, couple of weeks back and have done the payment. Later I realized that it will not be applicable for NRI. I had mailed several times to assist on this or cancel the policies and refund my amount. However, I was asked to share lot documents to prove my NRI status, later the policies got disappeared from my policybazaar account and no reply thereafter from anyone. I was desparately looking for assistance but nothing turned out. Did not expect this from policy bazaar. Got a lot of stress due to this and still the issue is not sorted out.

Very bad customer service. I purchased 3 policies. All of them have something wrong in them. One of them had even a wrong name and wrong policy cover. Have tried to make a contact through email --> No reply. Have opened a ticked --> Closing and merging ticket without any information. Never ever buy from POLICYBAZAAR

Very poor service and before sale the product they call everyday and once I bought one plan and since then trying to contact, but no response. Email to team leader and as expected no reaponse. Can i give them 0 as they looting the money from people, I got a WhatsApp massage from Policy Bazaar that, my two-wheeler policy will get expiry soon. So, I thought, I need to buy policy as I am the regular customer of Policy Bazaar. This company is pathetic

This company is pathetic. I had the worst experience. I tried to buy a travel insurance policy and I got a call from an executive stating that I was arranging a call from one of the sales representatives. I never got a call back till hour an hour. Meanwhile, I purchased the policy on their website. Immediately after purchasing, I got a call from an executive who said that this policy does not have the OPD cover. So, you may cancel it and but another one. I asked him to let me think but he raised the ticket to cancel the policy without my consent. I asked him to discard the cancellation, he said when you get a call about the cancellation verification, simply say 'No, I don't want to cancel'. So, it won't be canceled. After 2 days, I got the confirmation that the policy was canceled. Now, nobody is entertaining my complaint. This was my first and last interaction with Policy Bazaar. I won't recommend anybody to deal with the policy bazaar.

Scammer!!! Scammer!!! One of the worst company to buy policies. 15 days are gone and no update on the request and blaming others for their issue.Their customer service agents doesnt have any clue on service request which we raise. Stay away from them Update:update: 16 days gone and issue still the same. Their escalation manager are big joke as they cannot resolve any escalation and afraid to come on call or revert any email. I was asked to wait till 20-jan then 23-jan then 25-Jan then 30-jan. Now asked to wait more.

Don't ever buy from Policy Bazaar

Utter waste of your time to buy policy with policy bazaar. They will be back of you until you buy a policy and no response once you buy it from them. If you don't believe me, call their customer support number on website (1800-258-5970 / +91-124-6656507(NRI)) and I bet none of their numbers are working or not being answered. Also, they ask you email to care@policybazaar email address and no one responds to it. Directly buy the policies from the insurer itself and don't reply on this company ever. RUN AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE

Steer clear of Policy Bazaar at all costs. While their initial prices might seem enticing, the nightmare begins when you actually need to file a claim. Their claim processing and overall customer support are abysmal, leaving you financially drained and thoroughly dissatisfied. I cannot stress this enough: NEVER consider buying from them, even if the prices appear slightly more affordable. Take my advice to heart – AVOID them like the plague.

Policybazaar announces increase in travel insurance in UAE

Policybazaar.ae, a leading insurance and financial products marketplace announced that there has been a significant rise in demand for travel insurance in FY21-22 in the UAE. The fintech company saw a 150% increase in sale of travel insurance policies where travelers bought more policies in Quarter 2 in comparison to the Quarter 1 of 2022. The company saw a rise in demand from top tourist destinations such as the USA, Schengen countries, Indonesia, UK amongst others – as majority of these countries have made travel insurance mandatory along with other valid travel documents.

Apart from the countries where travel insurance is mandatory, the other reason behind more travelers buying travel insurance policy is due to lingering dread of the pandemic. The other major reason resulting in an increase in the sale of travel insurance policy was due to a knock-on effect on the luggage mishandling situation such as either lost or delayed baggage, due to acute shortage of baggage handlers at the airports.

The global travel insurance market size was valued at $12.38 billion in 2020, and is projected to reach $119.31 billion by 2030. This translates to a growth at a CAGR of 26.1% from 2021 to 2030. While travel has picked up its pace globally, airports around the world are facing extremely high levels of flight cancellations and delays in the past few months. Having a travel insurance policy may not be mandatory for tourists in all the countries, but it is always recommended to have one when traveling abroad. Travel insurance policy compensates travelers from undue expenses in situations of a medical emergency, personal liability, or other emergencies like loss of baggage.

Delaying or losing check in baggage is one of the most common adversities faced by travelers. Nearly 220,000 bags were “mishandled” by U.S. airlines in April 2022, meaning they were lost, damaged, delayed or stolen, according to the most recent data published by the U.S. Department of Transportation. Especially in bigger European airports (Amsterdam, London etc.), many travelers fly via inter-connected flights – luggages were either being left behind or missing due to staff shortages. The airline might provide a mere compensation which is surely not enough. Fortunately, travel insurance companies provide coverage for baggage delay as well as baggage loss.
