Alfama Walking Tour in Lisbon

Perfect choice to learn about the ancient neighborhoods of Lisbon. Our tour guides, Yuri and Riccardo, were energetic and knowledgeable about their beloved city of Lisbon. They introduced us to locals and their specialties (loved the green wine, and the Fada music!!) and also gave a broad view of the history of Portugal in the greater European and global community. Couldn't have been more pleased with our choice to go with Sandemans! Look for the red umbrella

During the day we did the free walking tour with Ronnie. Ronnie is a wonderful guide and she tells the history of Lisbon with such an euphoria. It was never boring and we saw and learned a lot of the history of Lisbon. In the evening we joined the Pubcrawl tour with Bruno and Francisco. They are lovely guys. We had a great night with lots of fun, games and alcohol. :) Best way to meet new people from all over the world. Highly recommended.

Sandeman's should always be your go to free walking tour! They consistently have phenomenal guides and give an excellent overview of the city. Their tour should be the first thing you do in Lisbon.

Lots of information about history of Lisbon, highly recommend this tour when arriving to the city. 3 hours was great fun and received many good tips, for example about the observation deck and restaurants. Have done many Sandemans tours and always loving the experience!

This was the perfect thing to do on our first day in Lisbon. It was fun and informative and gave us a great sense of the city, Portuguese history, and what we wanted to do for our next few days in Lisbon. The only thing is that our tour guide wasn't Portuguese and she got some stuff wrong about the Portuguese people liking the dictator Salazar. We asked that question to a Portuguese tour guide in Porto and she set us straight.

Sophia's Belem Tour & Free Walking Tour are AMAZING!

I did the Belem Tour with Sophia & absolutely loved it - she was personable, funny, had lots of intetesting stories and information for us and was honestly just the most lovely person. I loved that we got to stop for Pastéis de Belém (the original & amazing custard egg tart), and after the tour our group all sat and enjoyed a beer together. Her tour was so great that I then did her walking tour the next day & loved it just as much too! She's definitely the best guide I've had so far in my travels, so thank you Sophia! Highly recommended.

Belém Tour with Eduardo Estevao

Wonderful experience walking around the neighborhood with a small 7-person group led by the awesome tour guide Eduardo! We recommend the tour even though it's not "free" like other tours - but it is definitely more detailed and specialized and therefore it broadens the knowledge about Lisbon.

If you want the best experience of visiting Belem, go on a tour with Fred! He is an excellent tour guide and extremely passionate about the history of Portugal! Would go on his tour again if I visit Portugal again. BEST TOUR EVER!

My friends and I went for a free walking tour, guided by Jaime, a very well English-spoken guide. The tour was so good that we decided to follow him to the next tour, which was the Belem tour. He was like an ultimate history book and explain every single thing that we wish to know during the tour. Strongly recommended!

Knowledgeable, enthusiastic and patient!

We went on the free walking tour with Fred, and enjoyed it so much we ended up booking the Belem tour for that afternoon (also with Fred!). Both tours were well set up, and although involved some walking were easy to manage.
