In February 27, 1996, Shakira went on to her first international tour, named simply the Tour Pies Descalzos. The tour consisted of 20 shows and ended in 1997.

Shakira is going on a world tour, starting in November.
The singer made the announcement during a surprise appearance on the first night of the Coachella music and arts festival in California.
She performed her song, Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53 alongside DJ Bizarrap.
Shakira announced on stage that she would be hitting the road for her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.
The Hips Don't Lie star then backed up the announcement on social media, announcing on Instagram: "So stoked to finally announce that LAS MUJERES YA NO LLORAN WORLD TOUR is happening! Can't wait to be back on stage partying and celebrating with my wolfpack! Auuuuuuuuuuuuuu!"
And on X: "Shakira | 'Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran' World Tour ~ starting November 2024 in the U.S and visiting the rest of the world in 2025!"
This will be Shakira's first world tour since El Dorado in 2018.
No dates or venues have yet been released, but fans can register for the latest information on the singer's official website.
Shakira released her 12th studio album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, which translates as Women No Longer Cry, on 22 March.
She told The Sunday Times newspaper at the time: "There were so many pieces of my life that crumbled in front of my eyes and I had to rebuild myself in a way, picking up the bones from the floor and putting them all together. And the glue that kept it all together was music."
Songs on the album touch on her split from her partner of 11 years, former pro soccer player Gerard Piqué.
The couple share two sons - Milan, born 2013, and Sasha, born 2015.

The tour’s first leg will start on November 2 in Palm Desert, CA, and includes stops in Los Angeles, Miami, Toronto, Brooklyn, Chicago and more. See below for full tour routing. Shakira first hinted at the tour during her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last month. On Friday, the global superstar surprised fans at Coachella when she appeared during Bizarrap’s set to perform their global smash hit “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53” and “La Fuerte,” both featured on her new album. Before exiting the stage, Shakira teased the tour news to a roaring crowd.
Coachella marks the second time in the last month that Shakira has surprised fans with a showstopping performance. Last month, following the album release, Shakira shut down New York City’s Times Square giving a crowd of 40,000+ fans a peek into the energy of her live shows when she performed at the TSX Stage. The performance included her iconic hits like “Hips Don’t Lie,” “Te Felicito/TQG,” and “Session 53,” as well as “Puntería” and “Cómo Dónde y Cuándo” from her new album.
The tour is in support of her new album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran , which in 24 hours of its release became the most streamed album of the year with over 10 billion, and was certified 7x platinum. The album debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Latin Album and Latin Pop Album Charts, while “ Puntería” with Cardi B holds the #1 spot on both the Billboard Latin Airplay and Latin Pop Airplay charts . Over the weekend, Shakira made a surprise appearance at Coachella during Bizarrap’s set at the Sahara Tent, giving fans both in the audience and watching from home a taste of how she’ll be spending the last few weeks of 2024. During the set, the musician announced that she would be kicking off the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran world tour in November. The full slate of dates have now been unveiled.
The tour kicks at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California, on Nov. 2 and will span more than a dozen shows. Shakira will make stops in Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Antonio, Dallas, Miami, Charlotte, Toronto, Brooklyn, Boston, Chicago, and more. The arena run is currently scheduled to conclude on Dec. 15 in Detroit.

Due to “overwhelming demand,” the singer announced on April 17 that she added additional dates to her U.S. tour.
The singer made a surprise appearance during night one of Coachella on Friday, April 12, to perform alongside Bizarrap. Fans online were ecstatic to see the Latin superstar on stage performing her song, “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53,” alongside the DJ.
They got even more excited when Shakira announced that she would be going on the road for her “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.”

Shakira announced her new world tour when performing as a guest at Coachella
During her Coachella appearance at Argentine producer Bizarrap’s set during Weekend 1 , the superstar announced her world tour and told the crowd it would kick off in the city, although she was off by a couple of miles. Shakira also posted a photo on her Instagram Story showing her stopped off the side of I-10 to look at Acrisure Arena, which put a message on its huge roadside sign saying "Shakira Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour."
The tour is in support of her new album, "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran," which, within 24 hours of its release, became the most-streamed album of the year with over 10 billion, and was certified 7x platinum. The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Album and Latin Pop Album Charts, while “Puntería” with Cardi B holds the No. 1 spot on both the Billboard Latin Airplay and Latin Pop Airplay charts.
