HOW TO MAKE CHIC adult goodie bags FOR YOUR NEXT PARTY.

Let’s talk about adult goodie bags. Because they never get enough attention. Kids always leave with a loot bag at a party, so who says we can’t have adult goodie bags filled with insane stuff that your guests will actually use?

If you haven’t checked out all the details of Lemon’s Sip and See party , check that out now. It was such a cute party and I’m sharing every single detail with you. At the party we sent every guest home with a goodie bag that was filled with cute things. And I want to share what was in those bags.

I kind of went all out with these adult goodie bags, but you don’t necessarily need to. Do what’s in your budget but make it cute and tie it to your party theme.

WHAT WAS IN THE ADULT GOODIE BAGS:

RADFORD BEAUTY EYE MASKS:

Okay, you guys know how much I LOVE Radford beauty/skincare products, so it only made sense to include them in the adult goodie bags. These eye masks are an absolute staple in my life. I actually use them every single weekend while I ice roll and sip on my coffee. If you follow me on Instagram, then you already know this. It become a self-care moment for myself.

Victoria Radford has been a long time friend of mine, and she was sweet enough to send over a stack of these eye masks for everyone at the party. Honestly, these eye makes make SUCH a good gift for your guests. Who doesn’t love an anti-aging, de-puffing, 24K gold eye mask? So chic.

FANCY FACE LIPSLICKS:

Speaking of chic, I couldn’t not include Fancy Face Lipslicks in the adult goodie bags. These lipslicks are unique, ultra-dewy lip stains that nourish your lips while giving you that sexy, glossy pout. These were the perfect addition to the gift bags because they were cute and girly.

OBSESSED with June and Rose Candles . If you know me, you know I have these candles all over my home. These are so pretty and minimal and literally go with every kind of home decor. They are perfect for any adult goodie bag as everyone loves a candle and you can totally customize them. I got my own labels designed and printed for the candles. You can also order them in two sizes.

I’m a big fan of OPI nail polish, so this was a no-brainer for the adult goodie bags. I threw in lots of cute colours but everyone got Bubble Bath. It’s the perfect neutral pink that I wear so often, so I wanted everyone to have that.

MONAT SKINCARE:

We love a skincare moment always, so everyone got some Monat beauty products in their bags. My motto has always been skincare before make-up, so I included some good anti-aging products to the bag. Everyone got a full-sized cleanser and a moisturizer.

SHEA MOISTURE BODY CARE:

And lastly, some body care products was a must for the adult goodie bags. I LOVE Shea Moisture and actually so does Andrew. He uses their men’s body wash daily, and loves it. I have been using Shea Moisture products for years now. Everyone got the Coconut and Hibiscus Illuminating Body Lotion and Body Scrub.

Both are made with amazing ingredients and feel SO GOOD on the skin. I use the body scrub in the shower a couple times a week, and my skin is so soft post shower.

The main ingredients are: Coconut Oil, Vitamins E and K, iron and fatty acids. Hibiscus Flower – a natural emollient that treats dry, rough skin and helps improve skin tone. Songyi Mushroom – naturally brightens and evens skin tone.

• Buy all the gift box items you want to include ( see below for ideas on what to get! ). Most of the items you can grab at your local dollar store, any drugstore, or online at websites like Amazon.
• Purchase something to put it all in! Every care package needs a package! Look for something that can hold as much stuff as you need and has multipurpose use: a plastic bin can double as a car organizer, a tote bag can be reused for groceries, a drawstring bag can double as a day pack, or a car organizer can be used to, well, organize the car! I like using a soft-sided shower caddy with plenty of pockets ( find the one I used here ). The pockets allow you to organize all the goodies and the bag can be used in the hotel to tote around toiletries!
• Arrange the items inside. To make the gift basket visually pleasing, stack the tallest items in the back and shortest items in the front. Use some crumpled tissue paper or newspaper under the items if you need more height. A couple of gift cards or a big of chips popping out between items gives the gift box an extra pop.
• Add a colorful label to let the recipient know just what (and who) this road trip care package is for!

Road Trip Care Package Ideas: What to Put in a Road Trip Care Package

You can put anything you want in a road trip care package but you mostly want to fill it with stuff that will be fun and useful while on the road. My top ten favorite items to include include road trip snacks , gift certificates, a cozy blanket, hand sanitizer, road trip games, a travel mug or reusable water bottle, wet wipes, a car air freshener, a road map or guidebook, and some chapstick or lip balm!

Other road trip care package ideas: include bottled water or soda, Tylenol, Dramamine, band-aids, sunscreen, bug spray, travel-sized toiletries, tissues, disposable cameras , journals , pens, markers, crossword puzzles, notebooks, or magazines.

Everyone loves road trip snacks to munch on in the car and so they should always be included in a road trip gift basket! Cater the snacks you include to the recipient’s tastebuds. Do they like salty chips? Sweets? Healthy granola bars? Include what they love. Avoid foods that might get messy: cheese puffs (while delicious) leave orange powder on your fingers and car and chocolate easily melts. Be sure to include a favorite drink too!

Road trips are the big craze right now and the ultimate summer vacation everyone is wanting to go on. This Road Trip Gift Basket Idea I made using Dollar Store caddies is overflowing with snacks for both kids and adults alike. They’re the perfect care packages to send your loved ones off on the road with!

As I’m sitting here writing this post for you today, my house is in complete disarray! There are loads of laundry being washed and folded, suitcases being packed, and last-minute “work stuff” getting handled. The Hernandez Family will be off on two separate vacations so things are a little chaotic here at the lake.

Two different vacations?! Let me elaborate a bit.

Zach will be headed on a road trip with his grandparents which leaves us parents free to have a quick little getaway to the Baha Mar Resort in the Bahamas. Patrick and I have been really fortunate to be able to do this for a few years now. Zach has gone to New York a couple of times to stay with my dad and now this will be year three of him going on a road trip with my mom and stepdad.

Yes, Patrick and I are very lucky to have such great parents who are willing to do this! Shout out to our parents. You’re amazing!

So yes, for the third year in a row, Patrick and I will be sending our son, Zach, off with the grandparents for a fun-filled Road Trippin Adventure. As much as I love my mom and her willingness to take Zach on these yearly adventures, she drives me crazy because she won’t take a single penny from us to help with the cost.

This woman is so stubborn that she even goes behind our backs and rents a car to drive for their upcoming road trip when Patrick is in the car business and can get her a HUGE deal on a rental vehicle. It’s frustrating! Does anyone else have a mom like this? 

There was no way in the world we were going to let my mom and Frank take Zach for a week and not contribute anything at all. It just wasn’t going to happen! I had to think of some way to help in some way that my mom couldn’t say no to.  

Channeling my creative side, I came up with the idea of making a Road Trip Gift Basket for the three road-bound travelers. I headed to Target to stock up on the supplies I needed. I bought everything from salty snacks, sweet and sour snacks, Wet Ones, and gift cards to use during their travels.

I found a Road Trip Bingo game in the dollar section of Target to add, and printed off some fun road games from the Internet. I placed the items in caddies I purchased at the Dollar Store, added an adorable label to the front, and that was all she wrote. They really came out adorable!

The contents of your caddies are really up to you and your preferences. Tricia and I went shopping together so she could pick out things Emily would like and I did the same for Zach and my parents.

Make sure to print the labels on cardstock and grab your scissors, ribbon and hole punch while you’re at it.

Next, cut a piece of curly ribbon and thread it through the hole you just punched.
