Yuengling Draft Haus & Kitchen Opens In Tampa

The Oldest Brewery In America Expands Its Hospitality Experience With New Destination For Beer Fans

TAMPA & POTTSVILLE, PA—June 14, 2023— Today, D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc. , the Oldest Brewery in America, is excited to announce the completion of a multi-year project with the June 15 opening of the new Yuengling Draft Haus & Kitchen.

Located in Uptown Tampa on the brewery site, the Yuengling Draft Haus & Kitchen is uniquely positioned within miles of popular destinations including Busch Gardens, the University of South Florida, Moffitt Cancer Center, James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital and the Tampa waterfront, all of which attract millions of visitors annually. Guests can now enjoy a first-class dining experience with fresh, local cuisine paired accordingly with Yuengling beers, private dining and meeting room space, an outdoor recreation area and beer garden, as well as a gift shop and a soon-to-be opened coffee bar – all of which are inspired by the traditions of America’s Oldest Brewery.

“As a 6th generation brewing family, it is a highlight for us to evolve our business into this new, unique hospitality experience,” said Wendy Yuengling, Chief Administrative Officer and 6th generation family member. “For 194 years we have been committed to brewing great beer for every taste.  Now, we are proud to have created an incredible gathering place, not just for our beers to be enjoyed, but also a destination for delicious food and family entertainment.  We are excited to be invested alongside renowned local organizations that share in our commitment to the future of Uptown Tampa.”

Announced in 2019, Yuengling broke ground on the campus in 2020, and more recently, conducted a building completion ribbon-cutting ceremony with community leaders, including USF President Rhea Law and Commissioner Gwen Myers, who praised Yuengling for its commitment to Tampa over the past 20 plus years, and for the 200 jobs created with this new hospitality complex.

Key information about the Yuengling Draft Haus & Kitchen includes:

Location: 11109 N. 30 th Street, a short 30-minute drive from Tampa International Airport.  The new hospitality building is 42,000 square feet in size, located in front of the brewery, both of which sit on 3.5 acres of the overall Yuengling property.

Cuisine: Chef-inspired menu includes locally grown ingredients and combines both Pennsylvania and Florida culinary influences. Featuring a modern take on traditional cuisine, many food items showcase Yuengling’s beer portfolio as ingredients.  Food offerings will appeal to a broad range of tastes and culinary preferences.

Beer: The beer lineup is led by Yuengling’s core brand portfolio: the flagship Traditional Lager, Light Lager, Golden Pilsner, Black & Tan, as well as the upscale light brand: FLIGHT by Yuengling. Other beers include Yuengling Premium Beer, the heritage brands: Dark Brewed Porter and Lord Chesterfield Ale®, the new Bongo Fizz and seasonal selections such as Oktoberfest and Yuengling Hershey’s Chocolate Porter.

Amenities: Upon opening, phased seating capacity will be as follows: Initially indoor seating for 300 and outdoor seating for 200. In the coming months, full capacity seating will be for up to 800 guests total (300 indoor and 500 outdoor) with a soon-to-be completed outdoor concession, the Yuengling Bistro Kitchen, which will include 300-person picnic seating.  An area for outdoor games will also open later this summer.  There will be a total of five bars (three inside and two outside) and 88 tap handles when finished. Private dining and conference rooms are available for up to 120 people for special events.

Design:   The design elements of exposed brick, metal, and natural wood details are reminiscent of Yuengling’s rich industrial history as the Oldest Brewery in America, dating back to 1829.  Artifacts and advertising memorabilia are on display from Yuengling’s 194-year history as an American-owned and family-operated brewery.

“We offer our special thanks to the Greater Tampa Bay community that has provided ongoing support for our company going back over the last two decades,” said Yuengling.  “While our original brewery is based in Pottsville, PA, we are very proud to call Tampa our second home. We are excited to build upon our relationships in the area by welcoming guests to this new destination, which helps tell our unique story of America’s Oldest Brewery,” she said.

“There are many individuals who helped make this opening day possible but we want to especially thank Mark Sharpe, Executive Director, Tampa Innovation Alliance,” said Yuengling. “Mark’s shared vision, and collaboration were instrumental in helping us build great partnerships with the city and throughout the community – so many people came to embrace Yuengling, and we are tremendously thankful for all the support,” she said.

Many people in the region know the brewery from its local sponsorship of The Yuengling Center with its distributor partner, J. J. Taylor. The Yuengling Center is a multi-purpose, sports facility on the campus of the University of South Florida. Yuengling Brewing Company of Tampa has been a proud member of the Greater Tampa Bay community since its purchase of the Stroh’s Brewery in 1999. This is the brewery’s first venture in creating a dining and entertainment destination.

Yuengling Brewery Tour: America's Oldest Brewery

Step back in time—cold beer in hand—and discover the origins of America’s oldest brewery: the Yuengling brewery (Yuengling, pronounced YING-ling), is best known for its mild amber lager and also produces other beer varieties.

While you might not take your kids to a bar, the family-friendly brewery offers tours that are open to all ages. Complete your free walking tour with samples of their beverage—perfect after a sweltering day in Tampa .

Sunday is a day of rest everywhere, including Yuengling; it's the only day tours aren't offered. Beer also isn’t produced on Sundays, so Mondays through Fridays are the best days to go. There are typically three tours on each weekday—and two on Saturday—offered between mid-morning and early afternoon. Reservations aren't required, but since tour times are subject to change, give the brewery a ring before heading over for a tour. It’s also closed on major holidays.

Getting There

The brewery is about 9 miles northeast of downtown Tampa. If you're staying right in Tampa, use our Tampa travel guide to plan your trip before and after your visit to the brewery. Drive into the "Biergarten Entrance" on 30th Street and you'll find ample parking. If you prefer to kick back and let someone else handle the driving, take the Route 18 bus to 30th Street at East 109th Avenue, and you'll be let off in front of the brewery. Starting the day with a brewery tour and beer tasting could relax you just enough to be ready to take on a hectic amusement park, so it's convenient that Yuengling is located just 2 miles north of the main entrance to Busch Gardens.

What to Expect

Listen to a guide tell the tale of Yuengling's history, which began when a German immigrant named David Yuengling opened his original brewery located in Pennsylvania. You'll be led through the plant on a 75-minute tour of the beer-making process and may get the chance the chat with a master brewer and ask questions. Next, pull up a barstool in the biergarten, which serves as a tasting room. Sip samples of Yuengling's different brews, and go back for seconds if the staff is still serving. Soda is also available for the under-21 set and nondrinkers.

Tips and Guidelines

You may need to save your favorite shoes for another day. You won't be allowed on the tour wearing anything except closed shoes; even shoes with closed toes but openings elsewhere, such as clogs, aren't allowed. If you're over 21 and planning to sample the goods, make sure to bring your ID. Since tours are first-come, first-served, aim to arrive at least 15 minutes early. On a rainy day, you won't be the only one trying to duck the drizzle with an indoor tour, so you may want to arrive even earlier to beat the crowds. Bottoms up!

Sneak Peak At Tampa's New Tourist Destination: Yuengling Brewery

TAMPA, FL — A lynchpin in the ambitious revitalization of Tampa's University Area, D.G. Yuengling & Son Inc. brewery broke ground Monday for the expansion and renovation of its brewery at 11111 N. 30th St. that includes the addition of a restaurant, concert pavilion and 15-story hotel.

Although plans for the expansion were put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, Yuengling CEO Wendy Yuengling said the Yuengling campus expansion, slated to open in early 2022, represents the company's confidence in the area’s ability to attract tourism and its commitment to local craft beer markets.

Pottsville, Pennsylvania-based Yuengling, America's oldest brewery founded in 1829, purchased the 350,000-square-foot brewery on 30th Street from the Stroh Brewing Co. in 1999. The Tampa brewery was built in 1958 by the Joseph Schlitz Brewing Co., which Stroh acquired in 1982.

In 2013, Yuengling completed construction on a new brewhouse, increasing the brewery’s 475-barrel system to a 675-barrel system. Producing about 1.5 million barrels of beer a year, the Tampa brewery is the company’s largest production facility, which includes two breweries in Pottsville. The brewery also offered tours and a hospitality house where visitors could sample the brews.

But with 62 acres to work with, Yuengling had plans to transform the brewery into a major tourist attraction.

That opportunity presented itself when the University Area became a federally designated Opportunity Zone.

An Opportunity Zone is an economically-distressed community where private investments, under certain conditions, may be eligible for capital gain tax incentives. Opportunity Zones were created under the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act , signed into law by President Donald J. Trump to stimulate economic development and job creation encouraging long-term investments in low-income neighborhoods.

Led by former Hillsborough County Commissioner Mark Sharpe, the Tampa Innovation Partnership was formed to turn the 19-square-mile University Area into an Innovation District that's been rebranded as "Uptown."

The 19-square-mile area stretches east from Interstate 75 to Interstate 275 to the west, Bearss Avenue to the north and Busch Boulevard to the south includes the University of South Florida.

In includes the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Institute and Research Center, Busch Gardens and Adventure Island, the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, AdventHealth Tampa hospital and University Square Mall, which is being transformed into an urban neighborhood development with a focus on academic, scientific and technology uses.

“Since purchasing the brewery in Tampa in 1999, we have been proud to be a member of the Greater Tampa Bay community,” said Yuengling, a sixth-generation family member of D.G. Yuengling & Son Inc.

“We continue to look for meaningful ways to show our support for this thriving area from our work with the University of South Florida’s Brewing Arts Program, which provides scholarships for veterans interested in pursuing brewing education, to our partnership at The Yuengling Center where we’ve been able to increase our support of the community over the years," Yuengling said. "We consider Florida our second home, and we are excited to invest further in the Tampa community by offering Floridians and tourists an immersive experience into our brands, how our beers are made and our rich history as America’s Oldest Brewery.”

The Yuengling revitalization and expansion project will feature a:

State-of-the art pilot brewing system

Restaurant serving fresh, local cuisine

Private dining and conference rooms

Digital interactive history, artifacts and advertising memorabilia from Yuengling’s 191-year history as an American-owned and family-operated brewery

Outdoor recreation area and beer garden

Multi-use concert and entertainment pavilion

Expanded gift shop and coffee bar

On-site 15-story hotel

The new campus is being developed by Alliant Partners. The hotel is a venture between Alliant Partners and Capstone Development. Design and construction of the project are being managed by Alfonso Architects and Miller Brothers, respectively.

The design, featuring modern, open spaces and wood paneling, is intended to reflect Yuengling’s rich industrial history in America, said Carlos Alfonso, founding principal and CEO of Alliant Partners and Alfonso Architects.

“This project by the Yuengling family is a keystone for the continuing revitalization of the Innovation District and will complement the incredible growth and development of the University of South Florida, Moffitt Cancer Center and the rest of the growing Tampa Innovation Partnership District,” said Alfonso.

To lead the new Yuengling Tampa facility, Yuengling has hired Brent Wertz as its new vice president of hospitality. Wertz brings 30 years of experience in food and beverage, and is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. He will oversee the development and opening of the new Tampa campus.

“I am honored to lead the new Yuengling Tampa campus,” said Wertz. “I look forward to leveraging my 30 years of hospitality experience to build a world-class destination for America’s oldest brewery here in Tampa, by bridging the local Tampa culture with the unparalleled history of Yuengling.”

Also attending Monday's groundbreaking ceremony were Sharpe, executive director of the Tampa Innovation Partnership, and Tampa Mayor Jane Castor.

Despite the coronavirus pandemic, the Tampa campus groundbreaking commemorates a strong year for Yuengling. The brewery released its new low-calorie, low-carb upscale light beer, FLIGHT by Yuengling, re-released its fan-favorite, Yuengling Hershey’s Chocolate Porter in bottles across its 22-state footprint, and announced plans for distribution further west through a long-term brewing partnership with Molson Coors.

Hidden History: Yuengling Beer in Tampa Bay

' src=

The Hidden History series is about finding the common, everyday places and things we might take for granted in Tampa Bay — and unearthing their unique story.

Tampa Bay will soon welcome a new brewery to the area. Well, a new iteration of a brewery that has been around the Tampa Bay area since 1999. The newly revitalized Yuengling Tampa campus is set to open in Spring 2023. So, let’s learn more about how this almost 200-year-old beer made its way from Pennsylvania to Tampa Bay.

The beginnings of a beer

Yuengling was founded in Pottsville, Pennsylvania in 1829. This makes it one of the oldest operating brewery in the United States. It all started when a young German immigrant named David Yuengling started brewing beer in a tiny wooden shack. It survived Prohibition by making non-alcoholic beer and ice cream (what a combo!).

The brewery has been family-owned and operated for six generations, with its original Pottsville location still in operation today. Over the years, Yuengling has grown its selection of brews to include everything from traditional lagers and ales to seasonal specialties and limited-edition releases.

Yuengling Beer in Tampa Bay

In 1999, Yuengling expanded its distribution to Florida . Tampa has a strong tradition of beer and brewing, so it was a natural fit for Yuengling to expand its distribution to this city. Yuengling purchased the former Stroh Brewery Company facility. Then the company invested millions of dollars in renovating and updating the brewery, which was completed in 2001. The new facility allowed Yuengling to expand its production to meet the growing demand for its beer in the southern United States.

Yuengling’s entry into the Tampa market was successful, and the beer quickly became a popular choice for locals and visitors alike. In fact, Yuengling has become one of the top-selling beer brands in the Tampa Bay area.

Read More Hidden Histories of Tampa Bay

One reason for Yuengling’s success in Tampa is its commitment to the local community. The brewery has sponsored a number of events and organizations in the area, including the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team and the Gasparilla Pirate Festival. This has helped to build a loyal following among locals who appreciate the brewery’s support for the community.

Since its establishment in Tampa, the Yuengling Brewery has become a popular destination for beer enthusiasts, offering tours and tastings. Visitors can learn about the brewing process and the history of Yuengling while enjoying samples of the brewery’s signature beers. In recent years, the Tampa facility has also become a hub for innovation and experimentation, with the creation of new beers and the expansion of the company’s distribution network throughout the state of Florida.

  • A restaurant
  • Private dining for events
  • Conference rooms
  • An outdoor recreation center
  • Beer garden
  • Multi-use concert and entertainment pavilion.

There will also be a digital interactive history, artifacts, and advertising memorabilia from Yuengling’s 191-year history as an American Owned and Family Operated Brewery.

Yuengling to Expand Tampa Brewery as Tourism Destination

  • Jessica Infante
  • Posted 2 Hours Ago --> Nov. 19, 2020 at 12:44 PM

yuengling tampa tours

The Tampa, Florida area will soon have another tourism destination with ties to an American beer dynasty when D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc. expands its Tampa campus.

The expansion project, which broke ground earlier this week, is expected to be completed in 2022, and includes a 15-story hotel tower, full-service restaurant, meeting and event space and a “digital interactive history” of the country’s oldest brewery.

“For us to be located right in the middle of it all and have the opportunity to help drive the economic benefits and drive some tourism to this area, I think it’s great not just for us, but for the entire Tampa community,” VP of operations Jennifer Yuengling told Brewbound.

The Context: Yuengling’s Tampa campus is near Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, which Anheuser-Busch sold to private equity firm the Blackstone Group in 2009, and the University of South Florida campus.

“What we’re most looking forward to is bringing an array of amenities not just to the community, but for tourists from around the world,” Yuengling said.

The Plan: The expanded Yuengling site will include “a state-of-the-art pilot brewing system,” a restaurant serving “fresh and local cuisine” with indoor and outdoor seating for as many as 500 people, and private events and office space for up to 125 people, Yuengling said.

At the helm will be new VP of hospitality Brent Wertz, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America who brings three decades of food and beverage experience.

According to Yuengling, the project has been under discussion for “a couple of years.”

Yuengling — who, with her sisters, belongs to the sixth generation of Yuengling family members to run the Pottstown, Pennsylvania-headquartered brewery — said there are no plans yet for any family members to move to Tampa.

“Our sister Sheryl does have a background in culinary and food experience, so we do expect she’ll play a role in maybe some of the recipe development,” Yuengling said.

Roots in Florida: Yuengling acquired its Tampa brewery in 1999; prior to the sale, it had been a Stroh’s brewery. Yuengling has embraced the surrounding area and its partners, even lending its name to the Yuengling Center sporting and event arena at the nearby University of South Florida.

“The state of Florida has become our largest real estate and our brewery here in Tampa has become our largest operating brewery,” Yuengling said. “For sure, we felt like this was a really great place to invest.”

Stats: Yuengling is the nation’s largest craft brewery by volume, according to national not-for-profit trade group the Brewers Association. In 2019, the company’s volume declined 2%, to 2.65 million barrels of beer, making its output nearly 1 million barrels greater than the next largest craft brewer, Boston Beer.

Those 2.65 million barrels are sold in only 23 states in the eastern half of the country. Yuengling made news earlier this fall when it unveiled a joint venture with Molson Coors Beverage Company to brew and sell its products west of the Mississippi River .

Biggest concerts, comedians coming to Tampa Bay, Sarasota in April, May, June

The biggest names in pop, rock, rap, country, electronic music and stand-up comedy set to visit the greater tampa bay area over the next three months..

yuengling tampa tours

Between April helping bring snowbird and tourist season to a close with a stacked lineup of events , and the start of summer blockbuster tour season, some of the top names in music and stand-up comedy will be visiting the Tampa Bay area over the next three months.

It all begins this week when one of the biggest pop stars of the past 40 years visits Amalie Arena on her tour celebrating a four-decade career of hits while, later in April, Raymond James Stadium features the kickoff show for a country superstar's tour and a music festival making its debut at the venue.

MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre will reopen its doors for a slew of shows starting in May, which will also see the return of one of the biggest names in comedy — playing a far more intimate than usual venue — and the most-streamed musician in the world for three of the past four years on Spotify. And as we officially enter summer in June, the blockbuster shows will keep on coming, including a rapper with multiple No. 1 hits to her name visiting while on her Hot Girl Summer Tour.

To help keep track of it all, here are our choices for the biggest concerts and comedy shows visiting the Tampa Bay area including Sarasota-Manatee in April, May and June. Event details are subject to change.

April 4; Amalie Arena, Tampa; amaliearena.com

The pop star visits Tampa on The Celebration Tour, a retrospective concert featuring some of her best-known songs over four decades of releasing music. For Madonna, that includes No. 1 hits such as "Like a Virgin," "Papa Don't Preach," "Like a Prayer," "Vogue," "Justify My Love," "Take a Bow" and "Music."

Kevin James

April 7; Seminole Hard Rock Event Center, Tampa; seminolehardrocktampa.com

He may be best known for his roles in the sitcoms "The King of Queens" and "Kevin Can Wait," or in films including the "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" and "Grown Ups" movies, but Kevin James started out as a comic and still performs stand-up, releasing the special "Irregardless" earlier this year.

Billy Strings

April 12-13; Yuengling Center, Tampa; yuenglingcenter.com

As his back-to-back nights of shows headlining Tampa arena Yuengling Center would suggest, Billy Strings has become a star in bluegrass and beyond, earning three Grammy nominations this year alone, including for his collaborations with Willie Nelson and Dierks Bentley. He won a Best Bluegrass Album Grammy for "Home" in 2021.

Alan Walker

April 13; Sailor Circus Arena, Sarasota; circusartswonderball.com

The second annual electronic dance music concert fundraiser Wonderball, benefiting Sarasota's Circus Arts Conservatory youth education programs, features Alan Walker, who's been named to DJ Magazine's Top 100 DJs list every year since 2016 (landing at No. 11 last year) and shared bills with acts including Rihanna and Justin Bieber.

Leanne Morgan

April 13-14; Tampa Theatre, Tampa; tampatheatre.org

Though Leanne Morgan may be relatively new to the national stand-up comedy scene (her current tour is called Just Getting Started), she's already highly successful, releasing the Netflix special "I'm Every Woman" last year and selling out venues. She'll perform four shows at Tampa Theatre, which were set for January before being rescheduled.

April 18; Seminole Hard Rock Event Center

Though he first became known to many people from the Blue Collar Comedy Tour with Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy and Bill Engvall, Ron White has became a stand-up star in his own right, with specials including 2003's gold-selling "Drunk in Public" and 2018's "If You Quit Listening, I'll Shut Up" on Netflix.

Kenny Chesney

April 20; Raymond James Stadium, Tampa; raymondjamesstadium.com

The country singer will kick off his Sun Goes Down Tour with a return visit to Tampa's Raymond James Stadium, which also comes after the release of his newest album "Born" earlier this year. He'll be joined by Zac Brown Band — an act that's headlined amphitheaters here before themselves — Megan Moroney and Uncle Kracker.

April 26; Amalie Arena

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame-inducted group featuring sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson, who received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award last year, is known for songs such as "Magic Man," "Barracuda," "Crazy on You," "These Days" and "Alone." They'll be joined by fellow Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Cheap Trick ("I Want You to Want Me," "Surrender," "The Flame"), whose lead singer Robin Zander is a longtime Pinellas County resident.

Breakaway Music Festival

April 26-27; Raymond James Stadium

While Sunset Music Festival, the annual Memorial Day weekend electronic music festival at Tampa's Raymond James Stadium, won't take place this year , another festival showcasing the same genre at the same venue will. Zedd, the DJ known for such inescapable hits as "Stay" with Alessia Cara and the Song of the Year Grammy-nominated "The Middle" with Maren Morris and Grey, will headline along with Illenium, Kaskade and Florida's own Sofi Tukker.

Indigo Girls

May 3; Ruth Eckerd Hall, Clearwater; rutheckerdhall.com

The folk duo were introduced to a new generation when their 1989 song "Closer to Fine" appeared in last year's biggest box-office hit, "Barbie." This year will see the release of two movies centered on them: the documentary "It's Only Life After All," which appeared along with the pair themselves at last year's Sarasota Film Festival, and the musical "Glitter & Doom."

Brooks & Dunn

May 4; MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre, Tampa; midflorida.com/about-us/amphitheatre

The '90s and '00s country music hitmakers continue their reunion that started in the 2010s, including the 2019 album "Reboot," which features the duo performing some of their biggest hits joined by contemporary country musicians such as "Brand New Man" with Luke Combs.

David Spade

May 4; Ruth Eckerd Hall

First rising to fame as a "Saturday Night Live" cast member, Spade now co-hosts the podcasts "Fly on the Wall" and "Superfly" with his former "SNL" costar Dana Carvey and remains on TV hosting the Fox game show "Snake Oil," in addition to continuing to perform stand-up.

May 9; The BayCare Sound, Clearwater; rutheckerdhall.com/baycare-sound

The Supremes lead singer turned successful solo star's numerous career accolades include two Grammy Lifetime Achievement Awards (the latter just last year as a member of the Supremes), a Special Tony Award, an Oscar nomination for her role in "Lady Sings the Blues" and induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

May 9; Amalie Arena

The pop-rock trio comprising brothers Adam, Jack and Ryan Met has worked their way up from playing mid-size venues to headlining Yuengling Center, MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre and now Amalie Arena. This tour supports the release of the group's latest album, last year's "The Maybe Man."

Chris Stapleton

May 10; MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre

Playing MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre just a few months ago for a Veteran's Day concert also featuring rockers Imagine Dragons and R&B singer H.E.R., country singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton returns to the venue, this time joined by Grace Potter (who also headlines Tampa Bay Blues Festival in April) and Nikki Lane.

We Them One's Comedy Tour

May 11; Amalie Arena

The comedy tour is hosted by Mike Epps, who this year has already released his latest stand-up special "Ready to Sell Out" on Netflix and co-starred in the movies "Madame Web" and "The Underdoggs." He's joined by Deray Davis, DC Young Fly, Chico Bean, Karlous Miller, Mojo Brookzz and Lil Duval, from his namesake Florida county.

May 11; MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre

The Irish singer-songwriter rose to fame with his Song of the Year Grammy-nominated No. 2 hit "Take Me to Church," which became the opening track on his 2014 self-titled debut album, and continues to release music including last year's full-length "Unreal Unearth" and this year's accompanying EP "Unheard."

Roy Wood Jr.

May 11; Tampa Theatre

The stand-up comedian, Florida A&M University graduate and former correspondent on "The Daily Show with Trevor Noah" has also appeared in films including "Confess, Fletch" and series such as Steven Soderbergh's "Command Z."

Amon Amarth

May 18; Yuengling Center

While the metal band hails all the way from Sweden, they'll be joined at this Tampa show with acts from much closer by: Cannibal Corpse and Obituary, two of the best-known groups in Tampa's storied history of death metal. Texas' Frozen Soul rounds out the bill.

May 18-19; David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts, Tampa; strazcenter.org

One of the biggest names in comedy today, who's headlined Amalie Arena before, Kevin Hart will play the much more intimate Straz Center in his next visit to Tampa as he tests out "brand new material." Hart was this year's recipient of the Kennedy Center's Mark Twain Prize and co-stars in this summer's upcoming movie "Borderlands."

May 21; Amalie Arena

Shortly after co-hosting the famed Met Gala in May, Bad Bunny will visit Tampa on his Most Wanted Tour. It's an apt tour name for the Puerto Rican rapper/singer, who was Spotify's most-streamed artist in the world from 2020 to 2022 and whose last three albums have all topped the Billboard 200.

Dave Matthews Band

May 22; MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre

The jam rock group makes their semi-regular summer appearance at MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre after releasing its latest album "Walk Around the Moon" last year, which was preceded by seven consecutive albums of theirs that topped the Billboard 200.

Mike Birbiglia

May 29; The Mahaffey Theater, St. Petersburg; themahaffey.com

The stand-up comedian and actor whose latest special "The Old Man & The Pool" premiered on Netflix last year, and who you may have also recently seen in the  music video  for pop superstar Taylor Swift's song "Anti-Hero," will come to St. Pete with his latest show "Please Stop the Ride."

Niall Horan

May 31; MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre

Rising to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction alongside Harry Styles, among others, Niall Horan has since also pursued a solo career that includes last year's No. 2 album "The Show" and serving as a coach on the NBC singing competition series "The Voice."

May 31-June 1; Amalie Arena

The country music crossover success — his 2018 album "Experiment" topped the Billboard 200, and he's collaborated with fellow country musicians as well as artists such as R&B singer Khalid and DJ Marshmello — will play two nights at Amalie Arena on his In the Air Tour.

Tyler Childers

June 5; MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre

The country/bluegrass musician's 2023 album "Rustin' in the Rain" reached No. 10 on the Billboard 200 and earned five Grammy nominations: Best Country Album, Best Americana Performance for his cover of Kris Kristofferson's "Help Me Make It Through the Night" and Best Country Song, Solo Performance and Music Video for "In Your Love."

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie

June 6; MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre

The rapper and one-time St. Lucie County resident, who scored a No. 1 album with 2018's "Hoodie SZN" and is set to release the new album "Better Off Alone" later this year, will perform along with fellow rappers NLE Choppa, Dess Dior, and Luh Tyler from Tallahassee.

Megan Thee Stallion

June 8; Amalie Arena

The Grammy-winning rapper with the No. 1 hits "Savage Remix" with Beyoncé, "WAP" with Cardi B and this year's solo single "HISS" visits Tampa on her Hot Girl Summer Tour. She'll be joined by fellow rapper GloRilla, whose hits include the Grammy-nominated "F.N.F. (Let's Go)" and "Tomorrow 2," also with Cardi B.

June 8, Tampa Theatre

Many fans discovered Ali Siddiq through his segments on the Comedy Central storytelling series "This is Not Happening," later releasing his one-hour, jail-set special "It's Bigger Than These Bars" on the same channel, but Siddiq has posted his more recent "The Domino Effect" specials on his YouTube page, earning millions of views.

Justin Timberlake

June 14; Amalie Arena

The pop star has been busy lately, releasing his latest solo album "Everything I Thought It Was" in March and reuniting recently with his former group — the Orlando-formed boy band NSYNC — after a hiatus lasting more than 20 years, releasing the single "Better Place" last year for the film "Trolls Band Together."

June 14; MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre

The Atlanta-by-way-of-Britain rapper tours after releasing his latest No. 1 album, "American Dream," earlier this year. He previously released the 2022 collaborative album "Her Loss" with Drake, with the two rap stars embarking on co-headlining concerts afterwards.

Santana and Counting Crows

June 16; Amalie Arena

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame-inducted band Santana, led by guitar hero Carlos Santana, co-headlines with "Mr. Jones" pop rockers Counting Crows. If that seems like an unlikely double-bill, remember Santana made a career comeback with 1999's Album of the Year Grammy-winning, 15-times-platinum "Supernatural," featuring many of Counting Crows' contemporaries such as Rob Thomas and Dave Matthews.

Melanie Martinez

June 18; Amalie Arena

The season three "The Voice" contestant turned pop star embarks on the Trilogy Tour, where she'll perform hits from her three Top 10 albums — 2015's "Cry Baby," 2019's "K—12" and last year's "Portals" — joined by the band Beach Bunny and singer Sofia Isella.

Alanis Morissette

June 19; MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre

Alanis Morissette, whose 1995 album "Jagged Little Pill" became one of the best-selling records of all time (and a Broadway musical), performs with another pioneering woman in rock: Joan Jett, who played in proto-punk band the Runaways before starting a solo career with hits such as her rendition of "I Love Rock 'n Roll" and "Bad Reputation."

Red Hot Chili Peppers

June 21; MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame-inducted group has ranked among the genre's most successful acts for decades, including this one, with their 2022 albums "Unlimited Love" and "Return of the Dream Canteen" landing at No. 1 and 3 on the Billboard 200, respectively. Joining them will be rapper and fellow Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee (as a member of N.W.A.) Ice Cube.
