El popular baladista Chayanne retornará a Lima este 2024 como parte de una gira en donde nuestro país está incluido. La agenda será presentada próximamente. El cantante fue entrevistado por 'Choca' Mandros, conductor del programa televisivo 'Estas en todas', a quien le brindó mayores detalles.

Billboard se pronunció sobre la gira y publicó las siguientes declaraciones del intérprete: “Estamos planificando para el año que viene (2024). Todavía no se sabe el mes ”.

Peurto Rican pop singer, Chayanee was born Elmer Flgueroa Arce on 28 June 1968. Arce has also entered in a career as an actor and composer, but is best known as a Latin pop star, producing over 20 albums in his career and selling a staggering 30 million records worldwide.

The son of a sales manager and school teacher, Chayanne grew up in San Lorenzo, Peurto Rico alongside 4 siblings. He started pursuing music professionally before his 13th birthday, first seeking a position in the teen pop group Menundo; however, he was turned down by the producers due to his young age. Later on he joined one of the group’s contenders “Los Chicos”. The band was formed in 1978 and also featured the successful Latin singer Giro Lopez. They rose to large scale popularity in the early 80s, making a strong break into the markets (particularly in Puerto Rico, South America and Central America).

Los Chicos broke up in 1984, allowing Chayanne to enter the music industry as a solo artist. Sporting influences like Marco Antonio Solis, Miguel Bose, and Ana Gabriel, Chayanne honed in on an airy romantic aurora that sizzled with exciting flavors of sound and unpredictable rhythmic swings.

He signed with RCA Records in 1984 and released his studio debut “Es mi Nombre” later that year. His second and last album for RCA “Sangre Latina” came out in 1986 and paved the way for the string of successes he would release through Sony Music.

Chayanne’s first release through the label (which was his self-titled studio album) came out in 1987 to massive commercial success. It featured two stand out singles including the ballad “Peligro de Amor” and the dance track “Fiesta en America”. His follow up record known as “Chayanne II” was also a hit and led to his position as spokesperson for Pepsi. However it was his 1990 album “Tiempo de Vals”, which featured some of his best selling singles that pushed him from respected Latin singer to mega pop star.

His career spiked throughout the 90s as he released some of his best albums such as “Provocame”, which contained the No.1 U.S. Hot Latin track “El Centro de mi Corazon” (1992) and “Influencias” (1994) (as the title suggests it was a tribute to many of his musical inspirations).

By the close of the 90s he raked in his 2nd Grammy nomination with the album “Atado a Tu Amor” and scored another No.1 single with “Dejaria Todo”. He had another No.1 hit with “Yo Tu Te Vas” on his album “Simplemente” (2000) and released his greatest hits album “Grandes Exitos” 2 years later.

He successively released “Sincero”, which spawned two No.1 hits “Un Siglo Sin Ti” and “Cuidarte el Alma”. He supported the release in 2005 with a tour alongside Alejandro Fernandez and Marc Anthony. 2005 was particularly a busy year for Chayanne as he released two more albums: “Desde Siempre” and “Cautivo”.

2007 saw the release of Chayanne’s 13th studio album “Mi Tiempo”. It sold 17,000 copies within a week and went on to take the No. 2 spot on the Top Latin Album Charts. He promoted the album with a tour throughout North and Central America, hitting dates in Venezuela, Peru, and the United States. He returned to the recording studio in 2009 and issued his 14th studio album “No Hay Imposibles” in early 2010.

I absolutely love Latino music, and Chayanne’s fusion with pop is the most feel good, make you want to dance music I’ve encountered in a long time. It doesn’t surprise me that his catchy tracks have sold over 30 million albums. As you can imagine, I was absolutely dying to see him in concert.

It’s not very often that I’d get a chance to see him live, but the concert I saw was spectacular – in a huge arena venue. Everything about the event, from the lighting, the sound, the seating and standing areas, the bar, the support acts, was simply perfect and orchestrated with the highest precision. Something that I didn’t know abut Chayanne that blew me away was the level of his dancing skills. From the moment the first chord sounded, he didn’t stop moving. This massively added to the performance value, making the show’s visual standards live up to the quality of the music.

He is an exceptional artists and outdoes himself with his vocal performance time and time again. I really do see him touring for many years to come. He has maintained his style and sounds very well. It was great that he played such a mixture of his tracks, ranging from the starting out, right up to the very new. What a great concert.

Elmer Figueroa Arce better known by his stage name Chayanne is the singer/songwriter who has struck the winning balance between Latino and pop that has seen him go on to sell over twenty million albums in his career that now spans over three decades. It is fair to say he has been touring tirelessly in order to meet the demands of his huge fanbase who are always eager to sing and dance along with his popular material.

Now approaching fifty, Chayanne performs with the energy and charisma of a man half his age as he practically leaps onto stage and absorbs the cheers and applause. He leads a slick backing band through a discography spanning set reaching for his very best material. The energy levels stay very high all evening and this is mainly due to the fantastic rapport that the singer builds with his crowd from the offset. They sway, jump and dance on his command and it is fair to say that the band onstage seems to have just as much fun performing the songs as the audience do hearing.

Whilst I enjoy Latino music whenever I am lucky enough to hear it, I am by no means a fan and my knowledge extends no further than the odd Enrique track. However, when I was dragged to a Chayanne concert, I found myself enthralled and captivated by the music in a way that I had simply not expected. There is no doubt that Chayanne is a superb singer with a beautiful, melodic voice and very rich, sweet tones. I am not fluent in Spanish but I understand enough to appreciate his music in its native language. It is clear to see why Chayanne is so popular in his native Puerto Rico and why he has managed to sell an incredible 30 million albums, worldwide. Even those that do not understand Spanish but can appreciate Latin music will surely love Chayanne. He has an incredible stage presence, is soulful and lively on stage. He danced along with his backing dancers, seemed high in energy and appeared to love every minute. A real entertainer.

Chayanne announces ‘Bailemos Otro Vez Tour.’ Get tickets today

Even though Los Chicos disbanded 40 years ago, Chayanne is still going strong.

The former boy band member turned full-fledged pop superstar just announced his ‘Bailemos Otro Vez Tour’ in support of his 2023 album of the same name.

He’ll bring the danceable new record, his first since 2015, to venues all over North America from August through December.

That includes huge headlining gigs at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Wednesday, Nov. 20 and Newark’s Prudential Center on Friday, Nov. 22.

Even though the tour is more than six months out, the 55-year-old singer is already plotting what his 2024 concerts will look like.

“It will have a lot of the new album,” Chayanne told Billboard . “’Bailemos otra vez,’ ‘Necesito un Segundo,’ maybe ‘Bailando bachata.'”

If that sounds like the concierto for you, tickets can be grabbed as soon as today.

El cantante boricua Chayanne volverá a Lima como parte de su nuevo tour ‘En todo estaré’ para ofrecer un concierto lleno de ritmo y romanticismo el próximo 23 de mayo en el Jockey Club.

El puertorriqueño hará un recorrido por parte del continente y visitará 20 ciudades en total. Son solo 11 fechas en México, y también estará por Argentina, Chile, Perú y Uruguay.

“La preparación de una nueva gira, es algo que me tomo muy en serio, porque quiero que todo salga perfecto y que al público le guste mi nuevo show. Es un gran reto pero me estoy preparando con mucha dedicación. El tour ‘En todo estaré’ comenzó oficialmente el pasado 17 de febrero en México , donde se presentó ante 10 mil personas en Auditorio Telmex en la ciudad de Monterrey.

El show en Lima , el próximo 23 de mayo estará lleno de energía y candentes coreografías, como tiene acostumbrado Chayanne .

Mención aparte es el escenario que tendrá escaleras, iluminación robótica, 4 pantallas LED , 15 músicos en escena, una corista y ocho bailarines. Al igual constantes cambios de vestuario por parte del artista.

Chayanne Announces 2024 Bailemos Otra Vez Tour – Here Are the Dates

One of Puerto Rico’s biggest pop stars is going back on the road in the U.S. Yesterday (Feb. 26), Chayanne announced the dates for his 2024 Bailemos Otra Vez Tour .

Chayanne started in the industry in the late 1970s as a kid in Los Chicos, a rival band to Menudo. In the following decade, he made his mark as a solo artist. Throughout the ‘80s and ‘90s, Chayanne charmed fans around the world with his romantic love songs. In 1998, he released his signature album Atado a Tu Amor . That LP featured hits like “Dejaría Todo,” “Salomé,” and “Atado a Tu Amor.” After nearly a decade away from the music scene, Chayanne returned last year with the album Bailemos Otra Vez .

The last time Chayanne went on tour was five years ago. Now, he will return to stages across the U.S. with the Bailemos Otra Vez Tour . The tour will kick off on Aug. 21 in San Jose, CA. With the 38-date tour, Chayanne will perform concerts in other major cities like Los Angeles, CA; Las Vegas, NV; Houston, TX; Brooklyn, NY; and Orlando, FL, throughout the fall and winter. The tour will wrap on Dec. 14 in Miami, FL.

Pre-sale tickets for the Bailemos Otra Vez Tour will be available on Thursday, March 7, at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets for the general public will go on sale the following day, March 8, at 10 a.m. local time. Fans can register now on the CMN events website for access to the pre-sale tickets.

At Premio Lo Nuestro earlier this month, Chayanne won Tropical Song of the Year for his recent hit “Bailando Bachata.” He was presented the award by his daughter Isadora Figueroa and his niece Lele Pons . Chayanne’s latest album Bailemos Otra Vez also includes the hit songs “Te Amo y Punto” and “Como Tú y Yo.”

Chayanne Desde El Alma Tour 2024

Chayanne will be returning to the U.S. for a second leg of his Desde El Alma Tour, Cardenas Marketing Network and Chayanne announced today (Dec. 4). The second leg will begin on Thursday, April 4 in San Antonio, T.X., and is set to conclude on May 19 at the CAA Centre in Toronto, Canada. The Desde El Alma Tour will be returning to major cities such as Miami, Fla. and New York City.

He will perform April 7, 2020 at the Don Haskins Center. The first part of his tour took him to 15 cities across Latin America and the United States including El Paso in September, when he had a sold-out concert at the El Paso County Coliseum.

Ticket sales begin Friday, Dec . 7 through Ticketmaster. The tour is being produced by Cárdenas Marketing Network, Inc.

How Chayanne Reached a New Peak More Than 30 Years Into His Career

"He's remained relevant because, first and foremost, people love him. That's not something you can buy," says the Puerto Rican star's manager, Patty Vega.

Latin superstar Chayanne is a chart machine. The Puerto Rican heartthrob boasts a multi-decade streak of 15 albums that have reached the top 10 on Billboard ’s Latin Pop Albums chart since his self-titled debut in 1989. Only one other Latin act ( Rocío Dúrcal ) has matched that feat.

But Chayanne’s last album was 2014’s En todo estaré , released nine years ago, while his last tour stopped short in early 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. And although he’d had plenty of singles chart activity since then, his last No. 1 was 2007’s “Si nos quedara poco tiempo,” which topped the Hot Latin Songs chart.

Despite the long gap between studio albums, at the core of Chayanne’s success is consistency: He’s a self-described “label artist” who has been signed to Sony since his 1989 debut. He could also be described as a one-manager artist. Patty Vega , director of Chayanne’s Chaf Enterprises, has managed him for the past 27 years with a steely, steady hand. The Colombian-born Vega, known for her no-nonsense, get-it-done style and her ability to position her client in every country in the world, is one of the very few female managers in Latin music, albeit one who prefers to stay behind the scenes. This week, given Chayanne’s success, she earns the title of Billboard ’s Executive of the Week — and explains why her legacy artist remains in his prime. 

It’s been nine years since Chayanne’s last studio album. What did it mean to you as a manager to wait nearly a decade for your artist to release an album? 

It was a struggle because the years kept going by. But Chayanne was waiting for his moment, and in between, he did two tours — and remember, each Chayanne tour takes roughly two and a half years to complete. Then we had the pandemic, and that’s when we started to talk about an album. So it’s not like we weren’t on it. Afterward, Sony’s songwriting camp system was magnificent and it’s something Chayanne hadn’t done before. They brought together songwriters, producers and the artist, who in this case had input on everything and was able to pinpoint what he wanted and contribute to the songs. And we see the results: 13 weeks at No. 1 and No. 3 in sales. The experience of making this album was totally different from before. 

How so? 

Before they would send us songs, the songwriter would chat with Chayanne, Chayanne would give his input, they’d record a demo, but it’s very different from actually being in the studio and working the songs there. This time, we had three studios going on, and in the space of one week, we had 16 songs, which we whittled down to nine. 

Chayanne became a superstar at a time when albums were sold, radio and TV were all-important and there were few Latin global stars. How do you explain to an artist like that that the world of music and promotion is very different now? 

We had very long, involved conversations, and above everything, we have a very good relationship. We have our big differences in terms of the proposals that we consider. But he is always open to analyze something. Sometimes he’ll get up and say no, but a seed is planted. This was a long process. For example, he was very reticent with social media. He said he didn’t have the time and he didn’t want to do things his fans might not like or want. Convincing him to really work on his social media was intense. But today, he understands it perfectly, and everything he does resonates, which says a lot about his fans and how faithful they are to him. Those millions of followers he has, he’s gained every one of them organically. For example, “La Bachata” — you go on Instagram and there’s thousands of posts of people dancing to it.

That’s Chayanne. How did you change?

Well, I had to learn. You have a formula that’s given you a great response for decades. And suddenly, it’s not the same. So you have to adapt. That’s why convincing Chayanne to open up to other things was so major. He’s remained relevant because, first and foremost, people love him. That’s not something you can buy; that’s genuine and that’s something we’ve built through the years. But also, beyond music, for example, we do a lot of campaigns. 

What do you mean by campaigns? 

We have many commercial campaigns with brands, and that keeps his image relevant in many countries. Lala in Mexico, for example, is a very well-known milk brand and every year we do a national campaign that includes traditional media like television and banners, and digital. [Department store] Falabella has done a Christmas campaign with Chayanne in Chile, Colombia and Peru for five consecutive years. Chayanne’s image is very present. 

While you’re doing a lot with digital and social media, radio has been very central to the promotion of this album. Is it a struggle with the label to attack both avenues of promotion? 

Not at all. It may seem old school but it’s essential for us. And Chayanne has spent his entire life with Sony, and this marketing team is the best. We meet constantly, and they understand perfectly that although he now has a younger audience — because the age range of his fans is younger now — he also has a fan base that doesn’t understand social media as well, and still listens to radio and still wants to buy the CD and the poster. Radio is still very important, and radio has embraced Chayanne in every country. Television is also important and continues to sell for us. We have to consider all those elements: the mothers, the aunts, the grandmothers, the daughters. It’s many generations. But, I felt supported one thousand percent [by the label]. I thank my team every day… They’re all on team Chayanne. 

What has been the biggest challenge with this album? 

The same one as ever: To get people to love it. Having him do something great and being able to say, “We did it.” It’s very hard [to stand out] in such a competitive industry where there are so many young artists making hits, and where artists from other generations aren’t as visible. You have to really strive to do something better than the last album. Make a better tour than the last tour. At the end of the day, word of mouth is what gets people to your shows. But in the end, all the pieces fell into place. This album had to come out now, and Chayanne had to be ready. 

I know you’re touring next year. What can you tell me? 

It’s throughout all of Iber-America: from Spain to Argentina, going through every single country in Central and South America. For the U.S. I already have a proposal for 40 arena dates. Our last tour was 100 dates, and we had to cut the last five months due to the pandemic. As Alejandro Soberón [CEO of OCESA] once said, with Chayanne, you have to sell subscriptions because female fans go see him again and again when he plays. [He] can play a Movistar arena now, and come back months later and do it again. We repeat in a lot of markets.  

You’ve worked with Chayanne for 33 years, 27 of them as his manager. That’s very unusual, especially now, when artists change managers at a very fast clip. To what do you attribute the longevity? 

I think honesty. And loyalty. The most important thing for me is to look someone in the eyes and know that I’m telling them the truth and they can trust me. That’s the way it’s always been. We’ve disagreed, of course; we have our tempers. But we’ve worked with respect: He respects my work and I respect his.

Chayanne ’s big comeback will happen in early 2023. The beloved Puerto Rican singer and heartthrob revealed that he is releasing an album after his eight-year hiatus. The Latino entertainer also said his daughter Isadora is following in his musical footsteps.

“We’re almost ready; I hope (the album) comes out in the first months of 2023,” said the singer, who was recently honored with the “Icon” award at the Billboard Latin Music Awards.

Chayanne has an impressive career that spans 44 years and has released some of the most iconic songs, including “Tiempo de Vals,” released in 1990, and has become a generational and traditional quinceañera track.

“I started in this business when I was very young, and thanks to my fans, his children, and even his grandchildren, I am still in force. All of this makes me feel very grateful,” the 54-year-old star said during a panel at Billboard’s Latin Music Week. According to Chayanne, it is a “pleasure” to “witness” the evolution of Latin music and “the immense talent that young people have.”

According to award-winning and best-selling singer, his 21-year-old daughter is graduating this year with a degree in Music from the University of Miami. “I’m desperate for her to graduate so we can work together,” he said proudly. “I can’t wait for her to release the music she’s making,” he confessed. He explained that his “girl” composes, produces, arranges, and sings.

SAN ANTONIO - Iconic Puerto Rican singer Chayanne is set to make a triumphant return to the stage with his highly anticipated "Bailemos Otra Vez Tour 2024," which includes a show at the Frost Bank Center on Sunday, Oct. 13.

Produced by leading live entertainment company CMN, the tour will kick off in August with the first 38 confirmed dates.
