My first experience of Iona after many cruises on smaller ships
Adding a few comments sailed 3 times on Iona 21,22,and 23 same cruise sane place but this time was the most passengers we had sailed with. As we booked all 14 nights mdr 6pm we didn't see any queues we saw most 8.30 shows all booked prior 1st week and 2nd week whilst onboard .Rear lifts were fine most times just straight down from deck 10 to 6 .We only missed one mdr night cancelled on tge app ...

Expert review of P&O Cruises Iona
After reading some of the negative reviews we were a little worried but our concerns were unfounded. I really dont know what people complain about. Having cruised over 20 times on various different cruise lines i think i am well placed to comment on both the ship and the service provided. I admit that P&O have cut back in some areas eg.
Top tips for Iona?
If you read the live from Iona G208 thread by DamianG it should give you a very good idea of what to expect from a cruise on Iona. As regards lunch on embarkation day, for newbies, and any one else, the buffet will be open from mid day for lunch and then afternoon tea around 3:30-4:00pm, so you wont really miss the Peninsular lunch for upper tier cruisers.

Just to add a couple of things to the Iona Thoughts review. The 'covid' testing at the terminal has improved massively in the 2 weeks since we were on Britannia. Much slicker operation with many more testers available, which meant our hold up was the trainee at the check-in desk.

Iona reviews. Very friendly and a lovely maintained ship. The ship Iona was beautiful, no fault on the accessible room for wheelchair. Excellent service. Very comfortable cabin and excellent service from our cabin steward. Food was very good with plenty of choice and friendly and efficient service from the waiting staff.
