Dalroy Tours. (Bridge to Nowhere.)

This trip was absolutely amazing from start to finish. This was my first tour with them. It is like joining a family & touring as one. Royce & Dallas are true professionals & I would have no hesitation of touring again with them. Our tour was only 3 days & within those days we did the following:- Day one. We travelled by coach to Whanganui & followed the Whanganui River Road to Jerusalem, had lunch & checked out the historical site. We then carried on to Ohakune where we relaxed & stayed the night. Day two. We went jetboating up the Whanganui River, walking the track to the bridge & returning to travel back to Pipiriki in our jetboat. That was worth the trip on it's own. We then travelled back to Ohakune where we stayed the night. Day three. We were hoping for fine weather so as we could have a ride on the Sky Waka Gondola at Mt Ruapehu. We were lucky & the sky was clear above the low cloud. This gondola is 1.8kms long & rises to 2020m with breathtaking views. We had High Tea ( appropriately named) at the Pinnacle's Cafe in the Knoll Ridge Chalet. After descending back down to our coach it was back to New Plymouth. What a fantastic experience. Thank you so much Royce & Dallas For sharing this with us. Note:- This tour requires you to:- Be able to walk 40min both ways to the bridge. Able to get in & out of a boat. Take suitable clothing & footwear including rainwear. Refer to Dalroy's Tours for clarification.

The trip started with a jet boat ride up the river which was fun but not too much bouncing around. Next we hiked to the bridge and Murry gave us the history of the valley and the tale of the bridge. Super interesting. Then we canoed back down the river. Fabulous day.

Fantastic views of the river. Ben, our guide filled us in on the history of the area and gave us a safe, yet thrilling ride in the jet boat... highly recommended as a shared experience/memory!

Came with a group for an adventure day and wasn't disappointed. We were well looked after and I would recommend this business to all, we had the perfect day for it and everyone had a great time. We had a bit of history thrown in which hugely appealed to our group also. Great work team, thanks for having us!

What a great experience & absolutely loved it. It was a no fuss, kiwi way type of trip. Ben our driver was super friendly & laid back, full of interesting stories/history/information without boring us to tears. A great cup of tea or coffee & the chocolate chip biscuits were excellent. Well worth the time & money & would thoroughly recommend it. Thanks Ben for a fantastic holiday experience!!
