In the modern era, we have many options to visit our favourite places. As far as long journeys are concerned, I prefer to have them by public transport. However, there was one occasion when I had a long journey by car.

Where you went?

I went to Manali Hill station in my car. It was a fourteen hours journey on one side.

What did you do at that place?

Being a nature enthusiast, I spent most of my time under the arms of nature. So firstly I went skiing. The experience was challenging initially, but I worked hard with determination, dedication and discipline and managed to learn it.

Apart from this, Manali is famous for its orchard farms. I visited numerous apple orchards and enjoyed fresh juicy apples over there. Moreover, the weather was cold so I enjoyed a cup of joe umpteen times.

Who you went there with?

I went there with my bosom friend Andrew.

The reason for having such a long journey by car was to experience the places on the way. For example, the hills of Himachal Pradesh are alluring, and on public transport, it is challenging to take so many halts.

That’s why I prefer a car. However, me and Andrew are fond of driving. That’s why we went in our vehicle rather than hiring a taxi.

I felt good about that journey because I had a gala with Andrew. Moreover, I tested my driving skills for the first time on hills, initially, I was apprehensive but later I got on swimmingly with it. I went on the trip with my family, and the main reason was that my brother had permanent residency in Canada. And we had to shift there, and we wanted to spend some quality time together.

We did many activities in Goa and on the way. We tried our hand at adventure sports like river rafting, bungee jumping, snorkelling, and many more. We also enjoyed the mouth-watering delicacies of all the major cities on the way. Apart from this we did a lot of shopping and visited numerous religious places.

The main reason for travelling by car is to enjoy the journey to the full extent because when we travel by public transport or by air, we miss many locations on the way. Moreover, travelling by car is comfortable because you can take halts.

The whole journey was incredible . It helped us to meet and interact with people from different cultures and backgrounds. Moreover, it helped to enhance my knowledge exponentially because, on the way, I visited numerous museums and sites of historical importance.

Lastly, it allowed me to spend quality time with my family members. In this era, fierce competition has become an integral part of our lives, so we interact less with our family members. Therefore, a long journey by car is the best way to have a gala time with your family.

Although I have been a part of numerous long drive-through cars, one is etched in my memories and worth mentioning .

I went to Mumbai by road in my car.

After reaching Mumbai, I did many activities. I saw the villas of Bollywood superstars Amitabh Bachan and Shahrukh Khan. After that, I enjoyed the local cuisine and visited numerous worth-seeing places.

Since it was a long journey, I went with my friend so that we could drive alternatively to avoid fatigue.

Last year my brother got a job in Mumbai, and a few days after joining, he realized he needed a car. The reason was the maturity of his career, in which he had to travel places at a distance of about 100 km from Mumbai thrice a week.

He tried to go via public transport, but it consumed a lot of time, so his work output could have been better. He immediately told me to send him the car we had in our hometown via train. Since sending the vehicle through the goods train was a lengthy process of one week, I decided to drive the car from my home to Mumbai, which was a distance of around 2,000 km.

The journey was remarkable because most of our distance travelled on highways. We maintained an average speed of 100 and reached Mumbai in 48 hours. It was tiring, but with one day’s rest, my laziness went from a toss and roamed here and there in Mumbai.

I went to my hometown to meet my family to celebrate the Diwali festival. The journey was a total of 1500 km.

I did many things. Firstly I met my family and my relatives. We organized a party where we had a gala time together.

After that, I met my school friends, and we had a reunion where I was as happy as a clam.

As I got tired after the long car journey, I took a rest for one week, during which I ate various mouth-watering delicacies cooked by my mother. Moreover, I spent a lot of time in my garden, where I felt like I was in the lap of nature.

I went to Goa to purchase a car by train, but on the way back, I travelled by car for a journey of 2000 kilometres.

After reaching home, I showed my car to my near and dear ones, and we had a gala together.

After that, I decided to send I through Packers and Movers, but the price quote I received was exorbitant. So, in the end, I decided to drive the car back to my residence.

I felt good about the journey because of many reasons. Firstly I developed the confidence to drive a car for long hours. Before this journey, I had never driven a car for more than 300 km at a stretch; however, the long drive from Goa to Chandigarh enhanced my confidence considerably.

Apart from this, the journey helped me to see various states of India. I halted at many places to relax and had beyond the conventional domain experience at all those places. Moreover, I spent quality time with my bosom friend Vivek and the beautiful moments I had during the trip will remain etched in my memories.

Three years back I had a long car journey which is worth mentioning.

I went to Mumbai to pick up my brother.

I went there during the peak of the Covid first wave. Due to the stringent lockdown, I could not do anything because all the picnic spots were not in operation. All I did was I picked my brother and went back to my hometown.

I went there with my bosom friend Vivek. The main reason for taking him along was to have company in the drive to Mumbai, which was 1,500 km.

I went by car because public transport was not in operation due to the lockdown, and hiring a taxi was imprudent because the chances of getting affected by the virus were high. My brother lost his job due to covid, so he had nothing to do in Mumbai. Moreover, it was challenging for him to meet both ends; I decided to bring him back to my hometown in my car.

The journey was different because, due to the lockdown, there was no hustle and bustle on the roads. I vividly remember I had the same journey during my childhood on a taxi; during that time, it took fifteen hours, but due to no traffic congestion, I reached Mumbai in 12 hours.

Moreover, no toll plaza was operational, and we saved money.

Lastly, the trip made me feel close to nature because I saw many wild animals on the road as they could roam easily due to the lack of movement of people and automobiles on the road.

Indeed, the perks of having your vehicle must be addressed. And today, I would like to describe a long car journey that I went on with my family since we were commuting.

After a long time, we planned to go to an eminent hill station named Shimla, known as the queen of hills. It is renowned worldwide due to its culture and heritage. Thinking about a journey that was the best car journey that still continues to bring the best memory as far as odyssey is concerned has to be my trip with my friends to Triyuginarayana in the state of Uttarakhand.

So, this was a random plan and was not thought of for a long time. But, as it is said, ‘Unplanned trips turn out to be the best ones’, this trip held to this belief. After finishing our classes, all of my friends decided to excogitate a plan to go for a long trip together during the weekend. After some discussion, we all unanimously decided to start our journey to Triyuginarayan the very next day. We all had so much fun and frolics on the way and, of course, at the destination point, and reminiscing about that day brings a lot of memories and a punch of nostalgia.

Altogether seven people went on this trip and all of them were my classmates. On the way, we had a lot of fun, including enjoying the best playlist of the local music along with tons of games. We all brought a load of snacks to munch on along the way and all this made the beautiful journey through the snow-clad mountains an ecstatic experience.

Given the fact that we all were planning to go on a tour for the longest time till then and since it was the last year of our college, this trip was an amazing idea. However, owing to the suddenness of the plan we couldn’t find a reservation in trains or a bus to travel to the destination and thus we decided to take the car of one of my friends. Thankfully, that was the best idea. I wish I could relive those days once again with the same people.

Having a private car is to have a facile lifestyle and comfortable journey while travelling as one doesn’t have to go through the hassles of a public transportation system.

What are the benefits of public transportation?

Public transportation is apt for the ones who wish to carry out their transportation in a frugal and budget-friendly way. Cheap transportation is a significant advantage of public transportation.

What can we say about cars in the future?

The cars in the times to come would be automotive and self-driving. With the surge and waves of artificial intelligence and machine learning, self-driving cars would be displacing the present cars. Furthermore, considering the poor environmental conditions, cars would become more eco-friendly.

What about car ownership in the future?

In my opinion, car ownership wouldn’t be the same way as it is during the current times. Owing to the population outburst and burgeoning car owners, the ownership of the cars would be on a shared basis where car-pooling would be very frequent.

Meaning: economic Eg.: The budget was frugal and he was a miser; hence he bought it.

Meaning: uprise Eg.: There is a surge in the crime rates in the city after the death of the brave policeman.

Meaning: a sudden increase Eg.: During the discussion, an outburst of laughter was followed by a pin drop silence.

Meaning: common Eg.: Storms are frequent occurrences during this season in the eastern part of the country.

Introduction

Well, travelling is my passion. Though I like taking trains for long-distance trips as it is convenient and safe. However, I will recount the longest but most exciting vehicle drive in this section.  

Where did you go

My college friends and I planned a trip as we needed a break after a very long exam schedule. My friends and I decided to take a tour of Jaipur, which is popularly known as the Pink City of India. We were very excited to visit this fantastic location, which was full of historical monuments and aesthetic forts, for the first time. For this trip, we opted to take a car journey. We decided to take this journey in the morning.  It was easy for me to wake up early because I am an early bird. We started the journey before 5 a.m. We arrived in Jaipur late at night and directly checked into a hotel.  

What did you do at that place?

As Jaipur is known for its historical architectural marvel, we visited various famous heritage places there, such as the Hawa Mahal, Govind Dev Ji temple, Jal Mahal, City Palace, Amer Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Albert Hall Museum, and Jantar Mantar, among other breathtakingly gorgeous architectural structures. I could not believe how magnificent these places were. Apart from that, we went handicraft shopping and found some tempting items. We also went to some local eateries to try Rajasthan's authentic food, churma dal bati. More specifically, we travelled by car because it was the quickest and most comfortable way to get to our location.

Overall, the journey to Jaipur with friends was incredible. Also, we were less exhausted because we went in our car, which made it much more comfortable.

Introduction 

Well, I like to travel and explore new places when I have free time. I usually want to go on at least one family vacation every year because it allows me to spend time with my loved ones. I have been part of several long drive-through automobiles, but one journey stands out in my memory and deserves to be mentioned. 

Where did you go?

Just after the pandemic, when the lockdown was over, my family decided to take a trip to Rishikesh. We decided on this destination because it was perfect for youngsters like me, my cousins, and the older members of the family. There were many adventurous activities for youngsters, while for elders, there were many temples and ashrams. 

Who do you go there with?

So, in total, there were 7 people in the family who went on a trip with one driver. We booked an 8-seater car via a travel agency. As it was almost a 10-hour journey, we went there by car. We began our journey at 5 a.m. because we had a big way to travel. We also wanted to enjoy the lovely weather in the morning and the less traffic on the highways when you start your travel early.  

Rishikesh is also known for its adventurous activities and tranquil vibe. So, we enjoyed myriad interesting adventure sports such as river rafting, camping, trekking, and paragliding. It is also the first city to introduce bungee jumping in India, so we also enjoyed it. In addition, Rishikesh is home to a large number of ashrams, some of which are renowned globally as hubs for yoga, philosophy studies, and other age-old Indian healing practices. In order to strengthen our ties to the religion, we also went to those ashrams. Finally, but just as importantly, we witnessed the captivating aarti at Triveni Ghat. 

Conclusion 

Overall, this car journey was a lot of fun, and the memories we made were invaluable and long-lasting.

Question: What will cars be like in the future?

Answer: Since the future cannot be foretold, scientific breakthroughs suggest that cars will drastically change in the future. Automobiles may run only on CNG or solar energy. In addition, all cars will be electronic.

Question: What’s the difference between men’s and women’s preference on cars?

Answer: There is no difference between men's and women's preferences for cars in the present period because gender differences are diminishing. While some people choose tiny cars, others favour large ones. It doesn't matter what big the automobile is—both men and women choose cars that make driving more comfortable and fall under their budget.

Question: What are the differences between bicycles and private cars?

Answer: There are numerous differences between personal vehicles and bicycles. When it comes to transportation, bicycles are not only more affordable but also environmentally good because they run on fuel and promote human health. However, compared to bicycles, private automobiles are able to transport a larger number of passengers at once, making them particularly useful for those with disabilities and in emergencies. 

Question: Why do people like to have private cars?

Answer: In all honesty, there are a number of reasons why people prefer owning their own cars. For example, they can go to their destination in inclement weather, they feel more at ease in their own vehicle, and they prefer private transportation when they are travelling in a group, with family, or with friends. 

Question: Is it a good thing that everyone has his/her own cars?

Answer: No, it is not at all good for everyone to drive their cars as this leads to traffic jams, air pollution, and accidents. Therefore, it is recommended that everyone should take public transit as much as possible in order to help reduce air pollution.

Question: How to buy private cars in India?

Answer: Enquiring in an automobile showroom is really easy. They will contact you, help you choose a certain model, and be fully knowledgeable about the brand and model. Secondly, you can apply for a loan at any bank by making a small down payment. In India, people purchase cars in this manner. 

Question: Do many families own private cars in India?

Answer: When people need to buy a car or other vehicle, they can do so easily and quickly at the dealership. Additionally, there are two ways to pay for an item: if the full price is paid, the person can purchase the car; if not, they must pay a certain amount and have the option to pay the remaining balance through EMI.

It is very important to read and properly understand the cue card topic. 

While preparing your answer, write down the keywords or hints in short form that you want to include. 

Answer the topic in a systematic way with proper order, as exemplified in samples 1, 2 and 3. 

Try to create a simple yet interesting story as mentioned in sample 1; what did you do? 

Speaking with confidence and fluency, no matter what you are trying to speak. 

Start by introducing the topic and then focus on the main idea. In the last summary, your answer is given in the above samples.

The IELTS Speaking test is a crucial part of the IELTS examination. It assesses your English speaking skills in a one-on-one interview with a certified examiner. The test is conducted face-to-face. The Speaking test is divided into three parts, each assessing a different aspect of your speaking skills.

• Part 2 is a two-minute monologue where you are given a cue card with a topic to speak about. 
• Part 3 is a d iscussion between you and the examiner , involving in-depth questions related to the topic in Part 2.

The Speaking Test is conducted in a friendly and interactive manner, with the examiner encouraging you to speak freely and express your thoughts clearly. The test assesses your ability to communicate effectively in English, not your knowledge of the subject matter.

IELTS Speaking Test Part 2: Cue Card

In the IELTS Speaking Test, Part 2 is also known as the Cue Card section or the individual long turn . In this section, you are given a cue card with a topic to speak about. 

• You have one minute to prepare your response and speak for up to two minutes on the topic . 
• This test evaluates your ability to speak fluently, coherently , and accurately on a given topic.  
• The topics given in the cue card range from personal experiences to abstract ideas , and you are expected to provide relevant and interesting information to engage the examiner.
• You should use the preparation time to jot down some notes or key points they would like to include in your responses. 
• This will help you s tructure your thoughts and ensure they cover all aspects of the topic. 

Overall, the Cue Card section is an essential part of the IELTS Speaking Test, and you should practice speaking on a wide range of topics to prepare for this section.

Let’s answer this question step-by-step.

Start by describing the location first and then add relevant details like who you went with and how the journey was .

Example: “ This year, I had the opportunity to embark on a long car journey with my family to Udaipur. We woke up early in the morning, full of anticipation for the adventure. As we hit the road early in the morning, we saw the beautiful sky and empty roads .

We entertained ourselves with games and music and frequently stopped to stretch our legs and eat local delicacies. Along the way, we witnessed the changing scenery. There was greenery and beautiful landscape around us.”

Then, you can start answering the pointers , like what you did on the trip . Give some examples of the places you visited.  

Example: “We went to many places, like the famous City Palace, a magnificent palace complex built on the banks of Lake Pichola, Saheliyon Ki Bari, a beautiful garden with fountains and marble elephants and the City Palace, a superb palace complex. In the afternoon, we visited Jagdish Temple.”

Next, you can state your experience and why you travelled by car . Ensure you cover all the points on the cue card and summarise your answer.

Example: “Going on a road trip by car can be an exhilarating experience. One of the best things about car travel is that it allows you to witness new cultures and explore different parts of the world at your own pace. Whether driving through the scenic countryside or cruising through a bustling city, there’s always something new to discover and appreciate.”

“I felt happy and excited during the journey because I got to see beautiful scenery, experience different cultures, try local food, and spend quality time with my loved ones. Even though the journey was long. I enjoyed the adventure and c reated unforgettable memories. Overall, our trip to Udaipur was a memorable one.”

Sample Answer 2: Describe a long car journey you went on

Begin by briefly answering the cue card , then expand on your answer while covering each pointer.

Example: “Last summer, my friends and I went on an unforgettable long car journey to Shimla, a beautiful hill station in the Himalayas. It was a road trip filled with laughter, excitement, and breathtaking scenery.”

“We started early in the morning, piling into our car with snacks, music playlists, and a sense of adventure. The roads were long, and we had a lot of scenery to look at, the lush green mountains and winding rivers. As we drove higher, the air became calmer and the landscape more enchanting.”

Explain how your journey was and what kept you occupied. This will show the examiner that you can coherently organise your thoughts. 

Example: “We played games, shared stories, and sang along to our favourite tunes during the journey. The car became its little world, filled with joy and companionship. We made spontaneous stops at roadside food stalls along the way. The aroma of hot chai and spicy snacks filled the air, adding to the trip’s charm.”

Lastly, describe why you decided to travel by car and where you went . Then, you must conclude your answer.

Example: “We deliberately wanted to go on a car since the journey to Shimla was so mesmerising, and we could enjoy the scenic view. Reaching Shimla was a moment of pure joy. The town greeted us with its colonial architecture, bustling markets, and the pleasant chill in the air. We explored the Mall Road, visited the historic Christ Church, and enjoyed panoramic views from Scandal Point. The car journey to Shimla with friends became a cherished chapter in our friendship, filled with laughter, adventure, and the magic of discovering new places together.”

Part 3 Questions on Describe a long car journey you went on

The third part of the IELTS Speaking Test is the Discussion section . This part of the test assesses your ability to express your opinions, ideas, and thoughts on a particular topic more in-depth and sophisticatedly. 

During this section, the examiner will ask questions about the topic you covered in Part 2 , like “ Describe a long car journey you went on ”. The questions will be more complex and require you to provide more detailed answers.

Some popular destinations for long car journeys in India are the Leh-Ladakh region, the Konkan Coast in Maharashtra and Goa. I am particularly excited about exploring the Leh-Ladakh region, known for its breathtaking landscapes, serene lakes, and unique cultural experiences. 

Q3. Why do people like to have private cars?

A3. There are several reasons why people like to have private cars. One of the main reasons is convenience. Having a personal vehicle allows us to travel at our own pace and on our schedule, without the constraints of public transportation schedules or ride-sharing services. 

Additionally, having a car provides greater independence and freedom, allowing us to explore new places and take impromptu trips. Private cars also offer a more comfortable and personalised travel experience, with the ability to control the temperature, music, and overall environment.

Introduction.

I am a wanderlust. Therefore, I never miss an opportunity to travel. Unlike other people, I prefer travelling by car. This is because travelling by car is not only more adventurous but also it gives you more freedom to explore and discover new places. This thing help us me to get a chance to enjoy my life with my friends or family.

So here I would like to talk about a long car journey which I did about 3 months ago. Actually on that time, I went to Delhi with my friends. About 3 months ago, there were my summer vacations. Some of my friends and I decided to go somewhere to visit historical place. After proper discussion, we decided to go to Delhi by car. Delhi is 377.7 km far away from my hometown. So, It was a long journey. We started our journey in morning at 4 o’clock in order to avoid traffic on the way.

Also it helped us to escape us from the scorching heat of sun. We enjoyed pleasant Weather in morning. During this journey, we also visited a beautiful Park on the way. Actually one of my friends suddenly said me to stop the car on the way. Then he told me that he had seen a beautiful Park and he started insisting all friends to go there.

So we visited this Park named “Naveen Park”. Apart from it, during this long car journey, we stopped our car on restaurant named “Dharma Karma Punjabi Restaurant”. There, we ate food according to our own choice. We enjoyed the food service of this restaurant. Moreover, when we were going to Delhi on car, I clicked some pictures of my friends as well as mine to make these moments memorable. We also clicked a group photo. So after 6 hours, we reached Delhi. There, we visited some tourist places such as, red Fort, India Gate, rose garden in president house, food streets and so on. In Delhi, we stayed at Hotel for 2 days.

All in all, it was a memorable long car journey which I enjoyed very much. It filled me with happiness and love. I will never forget this journey during my whole life.

Needless to say, Long car journeys can be both exciting and challenging at the same time. They can be a great way to explore new places, spend quality time with family or friends, and create lasting memories.

I’d like to talk about a long car journey I took with my family in Punjab a few years ago. We went With on this journey during the summer holidays, and it was a memorable experience for all of us. We started our journey from our hometown in Amritsar and drove to Ludhiana, which is about 2 hours away.

From there, we continued our journey to Chandigarh, which took us another 4 hours. Finally, we reached Shimla, which was our destination, after another 3 hours of driving. My family and I travelled in our own car, which was a comfortable sedan. We were a group of five, including my parents, my younger sister, and my grandmother.

We had packed some snacks and drinks for the journey, and we also stopped at a few dhabas (roadside eateries) to have some Punjabi food. During the journey, we listened to music, chatted, and played some games to keep ourselves entertained.

We also enjoyed the scenic views of the Punjab countryside, with its lush green fields and tall trees. As we entered the hills, the landscape changed, and we saw snow-capped mountains and winding roads. Overall, the journey was quite enjoyable, although it was tiring at times.

We had to take a few breaks to stretch our legs and use the restroom. However, we were all excited to reach our destination and explore Shimla, which was a beautiful hill station.

Answer – As the future cannot be predicted, by looking at the advancements of science, it can be said that in the future, the scenario of cars will be totally changed. Maybe the cars will use only CNG power, or they may run on solar power. Apart from this, there is the possibility of electronic cars everywhere in the future.

Q2. What’s the difference between men’s and women’s preference on cars?

Answer – As there is no gender difference in men’s and women’s preferences these days because both are working and want to live a sedentary lifestyle, anyone can drive a car, but in my opinion, women prefer cars that look classy, while men prefer cars with more features.

Q3. What are the differences between bicycles and private cars?

Answer – There are a lot of distinctions between bicycles and private automobiles. If I talk about bicycles, they are cheaper as well as an eco-friendly mode of transportation as they do not require any fuel to operate, and they help people stay healthy. On the other hand, private cars can carry more people at one time, which is not possible in the case of bicycles, and they are especially helpful for disabled people as well as in adverse situations.

Q4. Why do people like to have private cars?

Answer – Having private cars has become the status symbol of people these days; moreover, people want to have them because they are more comfortable and save them time.

Q5. Is it a good thing that everyone has his/her own cars?

Answer – No, definitely not having own car is really harmful for the environment as it creates too much pollution on the road as well as other issues like traffic jams, parking problems, and too much congestion.

Q6. How to buy private cars in India?

Answer – In India, purchasing a private car is really simple. Cars can be purchased both online and offline. They only need to call the auto seller service, provide some proof, and they may simply obtain the cars. In addition, automobile dealers now offer simple monthly installment plans and bank financing.

Q7. What benefits does public transport bring to the world?

Answer – The public transportation system benefits the world in many ways. It helps to minimize pollution by reducing the use of cars and other private vehicles; it also saves travel time; and it is the cheapest means of transportation for the poor and middle class.

Q8. Is it too late for people to get their driver’s license at the age of 18?

Answer – No, I don’t think so. It is the perfect age to . get a driver’s license at the age of 18 because these days people have become more advanced and have more purchasing power, but due to the government rule, parents restrict their children from driving cars. If the government reduces the age, there will be more accidents.

Q9. What qualities does a driver need to have?

Answer – First, the driver should have good eyesight so they can concentrate on the road. As well as having quick reflexes so they can change the route quickly and control the vehicles, they should also be calm or be able to drive without stress.

Q10. Do you think the government should make it a rule for people to use public transport?

Answer – No I do not believe the government should make it mandatory; nevertheless, the government should encourage individuals to use public transit by informing them on the benefits of doing so.

Q11. Which jobs require people to be good at driving?

Answer – I think all the jobs require people to be good at driving as this issue is related to the lives of the people; For example, the job of courier service as they have responsibility for the stuff of the public, and public transportation drivers should be good at driving as they have responsibility for the lives of people. The emergency services like ambulance, fire brigade, and police officers should be well trained.

Q12. Do you see driverless cars as the future of cars?

Answer – Yes, definitely. As I have seen various electronic cars in various movies, it may be true so. I think there will be driverless cars in the future.

Travelling is my favourite avocation and I often explore many locations with my friends. I usually travel by train or a flight, but I like going on a long car journey with friends which I enjoy to the fullest. Last month, we had a few holidays lined up and decided to go on a vacation with my college friends. I travelled from Mysore to Chikamagalur with my friends Mary and Bobby. 

Chikamagalur is a hill station in Karnataka, located about 200 kilometres away from Mysore. Since we wanted to catch a glimpse of sunrise, we started our journey at the early hours of the day. We packed all necessary luggage an evening prior and loaded it into the car. We began our journey excitedly as the weather seemed pleasant and there was little traffic on the roads and had a few rest stops in between for refreshments.

We visited a lake and a monastery where we meditated for some time and felt rejuvenated . Later, we hiked the famous mountain Mullayanagiri. We had local food at a restaurant called Ashoka specials which had amazing service and delicious food. We stayed in a resort for the night which had comfortable room facilities and bonfire space for us to sit around and have fun. 

We rented a car for two days as the area has a lot of places with eye pleasing sceneries, worth visiting and travelling by local transport is quite difficult. In addition, car journey is comfortable while travelling long distances and is a lot of fun with friends which enables us to sing and laugh without causing disturbance to any others. It was the first time I travelled so far by car that left me with a memorable odyssey .

Personal cars enable people to have their means of transportation which they can use at any given day and time as they please. Besides, it also acts a symbol of high social status. They also give a comfortable experience even when travelling for long hours while carrying more than two people.

While cars are convenient to have, they possess an inherent risk to the environment as they are fuel powered and emit dangerous gases into the atmosphere contributing to air pollution. Having more cars also increases traffic problems and demand for fuel. So, it is better to limit owning cars to one or two per family to control the adverse effects of having them.

Well, I am really into traveling, it not only enhances my knowledge regarding new things and places but also recharge my batteries. I have traveled to numerous places by using different modes of transportation. However here i am going to describe the longest but thrilling car journey.

I had it a couple of months ago when we had some holidays from our college after our exams were over. My friends and I made up mind to go to Jaipur, The Pink city of India. We were super excited to visit this fabulous place as we were going there for the first time. We decided to go by our own car. As i am an early bird by nature, it was easy for me to wake up in the early morning. We hit the road before 6am. We reached Jaipur in the evening and checked in a hotel.

During our stay we visited Different breathtakingly beautiful buildings such as Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal, city palace, Amer Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Albert Hall museum and Jantar Mantar. Honestly I was absolutely amazed by the beauty of these places. Apart from this we did shopping of some alluring handicrafts. Also, we went to local restaurants in order to enjoy local authentic foods. Explaining further we traveled by car as it is the fastest and comfortable way to reach at our destination.

Besides this, we could visit places and spend time at each place according to our wish. Finally I’d say we had a whale of a time on holidays.

Well, I am fond of travelling, i like visiting new places in my leisure (free) time. Usually, I travel on public transportation because it is cost-effective.

However, today, I am going to talk about a long car journey which I went on last year. At that time, I paid a visit to Golden Temple, Amritsar. Actually, on the occasion of Diwali, I decided to celebrate this festival at this religious place. I heard a lot that one must visit Golden temple on Diwali as it is celebrated there on a grand level.

So, I went there with my family members. As it was almost 7 hours long journey so we went there by our car. As we had to cover a long distance so we started our journey very early at 5 am. We also wanted to enjoy pleasant weather in the morning and there is less rush on the roads when you start your journey early. Moreover, we wanted to visit other nearest Sikh temples as well like, Taran taran Sahib,Goindwal sahib and many more.

So, traveling by car sounds good instead of public transport when you want to explore more places. Having visited Amritsar, at first, I paid obeisance to God and then ate food at the community kitchen. The taste of that food was out of this world. After eating, I explored market and did shopping. I bought Souvenir and some traditional cuisine as Amritsar is a famous place for its traditional food. As far as my feelings are concerned, I felt delighted (very happy).

The whole experience of that car journey was incredible. I not only visited Amritsar but also went to other religious places there. Although, I travelled a lot and I was exhausted(tired) but journey was unforgettable.

Answer – As the future cannot be predicted, by looking at the advancements of science, it can be said that in the future, the scenario of cars will be totally changed. Maybe the cars will use only CNG power, or they may run on solar power. Apart from this, there is the possibility of electronic cars everywhere in the future.

Question 2- What’s the differences between men’s and women’s preference on cars?

Answer – As there is no gender difference in men’s and women’s preferences these days because both are working and want to live a sedentary lifestyle, anyone can drive a car, but in my opinion, women prefer cars that look classy, while men prefer cars with more features.

Question 3- What are the differences between bicycles and private cars?

Answer – There are a lot of distinctions between bicycles and private automobiles. If I talk about bicycles, they are cheaper as well as an eco-friendly mode of transportation as they do not require any fuel to operate, and they help people stay healthy. On the other hand, private cars can carry more people at one time, which is not possible in the case of bicycles, and they are especially helpful for disabled people as well as in adverse situations.

Question 4- Why do people like to have private cars?

Answer – Having private cars has become the status symbol of people these days; moreover, people want to have them because they are more comfortable and save them time.

Question 5- It is a good thing that everyone has his or her own car?

Answer – No, definitely not having own car is really harmful for the environment as it creates too much pollution on the road as well as other issues like traffic jams, parking problems, and too much congestion.

Question 6- How to buy private cars in India?

Answer – In India, purchasing a private car is really simple. Cars can be purchased both online and offline. They only need to call the auto seller service, provide some proof, and they may simply obtain the cars. In addition, automobile dealers now offer simple monthly installment plans and bank financing.

Question 7. What benefits does public transport bring to the world?

Answer – The public transportation system benefits the world in many ways. It helps to minimize pollution by reducing the use of cars and other private vehicles; it also saves travel time; and it is the cheapest means of transportation for the poor and middle class.

Question 8. Is it too late for people to get their driver’s license at the age of 18?

Answer – No, I don’t think so. It is the perfect age to get a driver’s license at the age of 18 because these days people have become more advanced and have more purchasing power, but due to the government rule, parents restrict their children from driving cars. If the government reduces the age, there will be more accidents.

Question 9. What qualities does a driver need to have?

Answer – First, the driver should have good eyesight so they can concentrate on the road. As well as having quick reflexes so they can change the route quickly and control the vehicles, they should also be calm or be able to drive without stress.

Question 10. Do you think the government should make it a rule for people to use public transport?

Answer – No I do not believe the government should make it mandatory; nevertheless, the government should encourage individuals to use public transit by informing them on the benefits of doing so.

Question 11. Which jobs require people to be good at driving?

Answer – I think all the jobs require people to be good at driving as this issue is related to the lives of the people; For example, the job of courier service as they have responsibility for the stuff of the public, and public transportation drivers should be good at driving as they have responsibility for the lives of people. The emergency services like ambulance, fire brigade, and police officers should be well trained.

Question 12. Do you see driverless cars as the future of cars?

Answer – Yes, definitely. As I have seen various electronic cars in various movies, it may be true so. I think there will be driverless cars in the future.

I visited numerous places since my childhood by car. Here I would like to shed some light on a long journey by car. It is none other than Delhi.

I vividly remember, last year, I decided to hit the road not only with my family but also with my siblings. We went there to attend the marriage of my cousin’s sister. We began our journey in the early morning to reach our destination at the proper time.

Moreover, on the way, we did lots of activities in order to have fun. Actually, when we passed the half journey, we all were hungry. So, my father decided to have lunch in the restaurant. Furthermore, the restaurant where we stopped had peaceful environment and we felt fresh while having lunch on the place. After some time, we started our journey again within 2-3 hours we reached Delhi. When we arrived there, at first we ate a different kind of dishes. Also, we danced a lot and it was a great opportunity for me to engage with my relatives after a long period of time.                     

 We chose to travel by car because we wanted the freedom to explore at our own pace and have the flexibility to make spontaneous stops along the way. Additionally, traveling by car provided us with the opportunity to bond, share laughter, and engage in meaningful conversations during the long drives.

To be honest, I was on cloud nine by traveling to Delhi. All in all, that was the long trip I have visited by car.

Well, the future is unpredictable. However, with the advancement of technology, new inventions, and modifications in old inventions are happening rapidly. Surely, we will see an improved version of automobiles. Cars will be fully automatic, biodiesel, and electric cars. We may even see flying cars.

Honestly speaking, I do not think that preference of cars depends on gender. Actually, many other factors play an important role behind it. Such as, budget. Apart from this some individuals like sports cars, while other prefer luxury cars. Some people choose cars on the basis of size.

 First and the foremost difference is that people use bicycles to cover small distance, whilst cars are used for the destinations which are quite far. Secondly, cycles are cheaper than cars. Last but not least, bicycles are eco-friendly, whereas automobiles  cause pollution.

Truly speaking, several factors behind why people love to have personal vehicles. While traveling we disconnect from the routine which makes us refreshed and spending time with our friends on a road trip is an experience which can be totally unbelievable, exciting,and adventurous. Young people's love to do such car trips to enjoy nature and make their bond strong.

Here I am going to talk about a trip we all made. It was a memory of a lifetime. We all love nature and adventure so we went to ladakh and it was like connecting to mother nature and spending time in the lap of nature. Every landscape we passed through had a magnificent view.

- What you did at that place.

We all were in tune with nature so we did numerous activities and many were singing songs in the car, clicking pictures of mountains and planes, trying food in the remote area. There were water bodies in between where we did water sports and explored the place to the core.

- Who you went there with.

I went with my close friends and they all are adventurous people, everyone likes to make trips and spend time in remote areas. This time we were four friends who had a special occasion to celebrate.

My friend Joe is a hard-core adventure lover and he promised when he buys a new car he will sponsor a long car trip to his favorite place so we all were waiting for this movement and it finally came when he got promoted as manager in his job and he bought his favorite car Mahindra Thar which was the center of attraction of this trip. We all wanted to explore and experience the new car and place together so went on this trip by car.

Traveling is my hobby and I love long drives. I use to travel with my father many times and traveling long distances is really exciting when ever I get a opportunity to travel long distance with friends or family I grab the chance and enjoy the roads. 

Here I am going to talk about a journey to Goa with my family and it was really a trip to remember. We all in our family are adventure lovers and we travel together very often. Goa is approximately a thousand kilometers away from my hometown and my father decided to make a long trip with friends and family.

- What you did at that place.- Who you went there with.

We all were together so we enjoyed shopping in the streets. Goa being a good paradise we had various food dishes. I went to the nightclub with my cousins and danced the whole night. Next day we all explored Goa in our car. Clicked pictures and did water sports at the beach. It's a place to really enjoy and my cousins and I really bondwell with each other we did some extreme water sports and scuba diving which was mind blowing experience.

My father was planning to buy a new Maruti Ertiga and he wanted us to make a long trip in our new family car. My father believes in creating memories so he wanted to experience the new car and a wonderful place with the loved ones so we went there by car.

Introduction.

Well, I love travelling by car, especially long Car drives. This thing helps me to get a chance to enjoy my life with my friends or family. So here I would like to talk about a long car journey which I did about 3 months ago. Actually, at that time, I went to Delhi with my friends. I describe it briefly. What happened exactly?

When and Where?

About 3 months ago, there were my summer vacations. Some of my friends and I decided to go somewhere to visit a historical place . After a proper discussion, we decided to go to Delhi by car. Delhi is 377.7 km far away from my hometown. So, It was a long journey. We started our journey in the morning at 4 o’clock in order to avoid traffic on the way. Also, it helped us to escape from the scorching heat of the sun. We enjoyed the pleasant Weather in the morning.

What did you do during this car journey?

During this journey, we also visited a beautiful Park on the way. Actually one of my friends suddenly told me to stop the car on the way. Then he told me that he had seen a beautiful Park and he started insisting all his friends to go there. So we visited this Park named “Naveen Park”.

Apart from that, during this long car journey, we stopped our car at a restaurant named “Dharma Karma Punjabi Restaurant”. There, we ate food according to our own choice. We enjoyed the food service of this restaurant.

Moreover, when we were going to Delhi by car, I clicked some pictures of my friends as well as mine to make these moments memorable. We also clicked a group photo and I hung it on the wall of my home.

So after 6 hours, we reached Delhi. There, we visited some tourist places such as the Red Fort, India Gate, the rose garden in the president’s house, food streets and so on.

In Delhi, we stayed at the Hotel for 2 days. After visiting beautiful places in Delhi, we came back home to complete the pending work of summer vacation.

All in all, it was a memorable long car journey which I enjoyed very much. It filled me with happiness and love. I will never forget this journey during my whole life.

PITTSBURGH — When Cam Booser entered his first game with the Red Sox on Friday night, it marked the first time in nearly 77 years that a player age 31 or older made his major league debut with the Red Sox (excluding Japanese players). It’s fair to wonder if anyone who has debuted for the Red Sox in the last eight decades has arrived with as wild of a backstory as Booser’s.

“It has been a long journey,” Booser said, “but it has been a good one.”

Booser, who was selected to the big league roster ahead of Friday’s series opener at PNC Park, battled significant injuries and a suspension as a Twins minor leaguer years ago, then retired to work a construction job for more than four years before making a comeback that culminated in his promotion after a lights-out start to the season at Triple-A Worcester. Standing in a big league clubhouse for the first time before the game, Booser acknowledged he spent years thinking the moment would never come.

“Most of my career, I would say,” he said when asked if he ever doubted he’d reach the majors. “The first part of my career was, by my own doing, pretty bad. Made a few mistakes. When I was able to come back and get a better head on my shoulders, things were a lot more clear.”

As MassLive’s Katie Morrison chronicled last summer , Booser’s professional journey dates back to 2013, when he signed with the Twins as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon State. He underwent Tommy John surgery while in Corvallis, and has suffered other gruesome injuries (a twice-broken back, a broken femur and more) as well. His five years in the Twins system included a 50-game marijuana suspension and getting hit by a car in Fort Myers while rehabbing another injury. He never pitched above High-A before retiring in 2017.

At that point, the Washington native went home and decided to start working construction. He spent years installing acoustical ceilings while slowly getting back into the game as a pitching instructor for youth players. It was while coaching in 2020 and 2021 that Booser started to get the urge to make a comeback.

“Everyday I was working construction, I thought about the game,” Booser said. “Every single day. I didn’t actually think about ever actually making a comeback until I started working with (kids). The more I was around the game, the more I couldn’t not be around it. It just pulled me back in. I decided one day I was gonna leave work and go all-in to this. I haven’t looked back since.

“The first time I touched the mound ... It was in that moment I realized there was no pain and I could still throw in the upper 90s.”

Booser spent 2021 with the Butch Hobson-managed Chicago Dogs of the independent American Association, then part of 2022 at Double-A in the Diamondbacks organization before going back into unaffiliated ball with the Atlantic League’s Lancaster Barnstormers. In Feb. 2023, Booser signed a minor league deal with the Red Sox; he reported to Triple-A Worcester to start the year. An uneven season (4.99 ERA, 10.3 K/9 ratio) was good enough in the eyes of the organization to warrant a major league spring training invite.

A strong showing by Booser, who throws in the upper nineties with his fastball and demonstrated increased strike-throwing abilities in Florida, put the lefty on Alex Cora’s radar entering the season . An incredible performance for the WooSox (2.70 ERA, 15 strikeouts in 6 ⅔ innings) solidified him as a major league option. After Thursday’s rainout in Worcester, WooSox manager Chad Tracy informed Booser he was going to Pittsburgh to join the Red Sox on Friday . The reality of the situation took a while to set in.

“It was hard to make heads or tails of what was happening at first,” Booser said. “It was a pretty incredible moment.”

“To make it to the big leagues, there’s different ways,” Cora said. “There’s different journeys. His is a lot different than a lot of people.

“There’s only 780 of them today in the world. Big leaguers. Nobody can take that away from him. And he’s throwing the ball well, too. He did in spring training, he did it the first few weeks in Triple-A and he pushed that door. He earned this promotion. We expect him to do big things for us.”

The Red Sox think Booser can not just wear a big league uniform, but also contribute in one. Cora is confident in his ability to face both right-handed and left-handed hitters as a third southpaw weapon alongside Brennan Bernardino and Joely Rodríguez. The fact Booser will share a role with Bernardino, who had a similarly winding path to the majors before breaking out in 2023, is fitting.

“Those two lefties in the bullpen, Bernie and Boos, they can sit there and tell people it’s possible,” Cora said. “You have to keep dreaming, keep working and not quit. If you’re doubting yourself on any given day, they’re good resources to go to.”
