Thankfully, this one included a convenient hotel pickup right from our lobby, so all we had to do is make sure we were there on time!

As we rode in our comfortable vehicle to the boat, our guide offered some interesting commentary on the history of the area as well as what we could expect once we were onboard!

Upon boarding the ship, we were greeted and then led to a private table where we were able to admire beautiful views of the city from the water!

Seeing the Ottoman palaces and various bridges in this way was breathtaking – I hadn’t been able to see anything like it from land! This was right before we were served a hefty, 3-course dinner filled with traditional dishes that I actually thought tasted quite authentic!

After eating and sipping on wine, we had a full Turkish Night Show to enjoy, complete with belly dancing, music from a DJ, folk dancing, a henna ceremony, and much more!

It’s actually hard to believe we were on board for just 4 hours, as I feel like I got such an enriching experience! I would recommend this tour to literally anyone, no matter if it’s your first or fiftieth time in the fabled city of Istanbul!

Transfers: If you are staying in a hotel in Sultanahmet, Eminönü, Sirkeci, Laleli, Beyoğlu, Beşiktaş, or Şişli, you can request a pick-up and drop-off service online when you make your reservation. ( Ch eck Important Information ) If you do, you will receive an email confirming the time.

Using Public Transit: Take the T1 tram to Kabataş or the funicular from Taksim and get off at Kabataş station. From there, cross the road and walk past the gas station. Continue and you will see the port of Kabataş on the right.

Please be informed that a new regulation has been introduced in the Istanbul Strait. The Marine Police and Coast Guard have started implementing passport control measures in cruises. It is of utmost importance for all visitors to carry their original passports with them. Kindly note that photocopies or photographs of passports will not be accepted. Your cooperation in adhering to these regulations is greatly appreciated.

Two and a half laps around the ship’s jogging track, a particular highlight onboard, and you’ve run a mile. So one can find themselves in need of a map—forgetting your sunscreen, for example, in your cabin is a bit of a chore depending on how far you’ve made it. But the abundance of things to do is also narcotic, and you feel a bit like a lotus-eater attempting to navigate it all while keeping your head. Amid the relentless entertainment, not to be missed are the top-notch performers present everywhere, from the Olympic-level aquatics show that you can watch from the windows of the specialty seafood restaurant should seating be elusive (it often is) to the cafeteria, where crew members dressed as food items sing songs reminding (commanding, actually, which is fabulous) passengers to wash their hands at sinks near the entrance.
