Cafe Rouge and Galaxy Clipper *SOLD OUT 2023*

• Details: Combine a delicious evening meal at Cafe Rouge in St Katharine’s Dock and a NYE River Cruise to see the NYE fireworks at the London Eye. This has to be one of our favourite options, as we absolutely love Cafe Rouge and St Katharine´s Dock. As it´s not Westminster either, it is away from most of the crowds so if you´re going with kids this is probably one of the best options in my opinion.
• Restaurant information: Cafe Rouge, Tower Bridge House, 4 St Katharine’s Way, London E1W 1BA. Arrive at the restaurant at 19.30 and enjoy a welcome drink, a three-course meal, half a bottle of wine per adult, or two soft drinks per child. See Map .
• River Cruise Information: Board the boat at Tower Pier at 22.00, and return to Tower Pier at approximately 00.30 hrs. Hi, do you know if there are any cruises we can take our baby on or do they have to be over 5 on them all?

Hi Sam, I believe most cruises don’t accept children under 5 years old. I would recommend contacting City Cruises directly and checking with them.

I have a child that is 17 and a half years old (and looks much older.)

For some of these NYE cruises, it says 18 and over. How stringent are these cruises in terms of checking for age verification? Do you think we’ll have any issues if we book a party of 4 with our child?

Hello, I’m interested in the new year cafe rouge dinner and firework cruise. Could you tell me whether the boat has a retractable roof or provide any reviews from last year?

Hi Allison, There are two options for cafe rouge and cruise above, neither of the vessels used have a retractable roof, but the Tornado Clipper is slightly bigger. Both vessels have panoramic windows and outdoor space. Hope that helps!

The captain suggests downloading the app to get the audio tour. If you want to try this, do it in advance. The Wi-Fi on the boat is not sufficient to do it. If you want to see the city from the river, walk over the Millennium Bridge, walk over the Tower Bridge, or take an Uber boat. We were wishing we had just taken the Uber boat. When the new one arrived the waiter didn't wipe up the spilled tea. The afternoon tea was miserable. Coronation chicken sandwich, some other spicy sandwich, in thick bread. The small cakes were all stale and the cream for the scones tasted synthetic. No more tea offered. My friend hadn't eaten anything as she was unwell and when I asked for a box to take away, I was told " we don't do that. Looking around, the food waste was incredible. In the event our return journey was far better than the outward one. This purely because there was no live commentary on the outward journey. Whilst I downloaded the app for my partner to listen to that commentary it didn't work well and spoiled the entire outward journey. Spending far too much time on the phone and missing many of the places of interest. We felt cheated, of what should have been and enjoyable and informative journey. Had we known before that there'd be no live commentary, as expected, we would have gone on the quicker Uber boat. HOWEVER our return journey was, as expected, with live commentary. A beautiful and modern part of London, Canary Wharf sits on the West India Docks on the Isle of Dogs. All food is freshly prepared on-board and designed by our talented head chef. Our chefs reserve the right to change menus as required without prior notice. Vegetarian meals and all dietary requirements must be pre-ordered at least 7 days’ before the cruise.

The Symphony is one of the most elegant river-cruisers on the Thames. Her unusual all-glass structure provides guests with uninterrupted views of London’s most breathtaking sights.

Our New Year's Eve Cruises run to a very strict timetable and unfortunately we cannot wait for any late arrivals. It is your responsibility to arrive at the pier in plenty of time for boarding, the streets and public transport will be extremely busy and densely populated. We would advise that you allow extra time for your journey and that you check on the Transport for London Website for all travel information, tube, train and road closures. Please be advised that once the boat departs, it cannot return to the pier to collect passengers, and refunds will not be offered in such circumstances.

Embankment Pier, Victoria Embankment, London WC2N 6NU To access Embankment Pier you must arrive at Embankment Underground Station, take the riverside exit on your right after the ticket barriers, cross over the road at the traffic lights outside the station and the entrance to the pier is to your left. This is the only recommended route to Embankment Pier.

• Dress Code Both ladies and gentlemen are asked to dress in a manner appropriate to a smart formal occasion. Please note that blue jeans, denim of any other colour or style, trainers and leisurewear are not permitted on board.
• Accessibility We request that you inform us of special needs or disabilities at the time of booking in order for us to meet any personal requirements. Step-free access is offered from Embankment Pier. Bathrooms on the Symphony are accessed via stairs and no lift is available.
• Smoking Smoking is permitted on designated outside areas only.
• Child Policy Children under the age of 12 are not permitted on-board. (including babies in prams or slings)
• Inclement Weather The Thames New Year's Eve Cruises operate regardless of the weather unless in conditions of poor visibility. The Captain will make the decision on the day if the cruise will not operate. You will be informed of your options on the day if this affects you. Our vessels are closed in so you will not be affected by wind, snow or rain. Full payment is required at the time of booking. Once you have completed the booking process you will receive an automated booking summary via email. A boarding confirmation will be sent 2 weeks prior to the cruise and will state the boat name, schedule and pier location. Please check your boarding confirmation carefully and inform us immediately if anything is incorrect. You will need to print your boarding confirmation and present it on arrival at the pier in exchange for your boarding pass.
