Good safari experience and accomodations

My group and I went on a safari with this company through Serengeti and Ngorongoro. The safari went well, we saw many animals, the accommodations were very good and the food really enjoyed it, a mixture of local and western food. The only downside I can put is that there was a change in the program that was not explained well enough what it implied and that in the end was an extra expense since we had to add an activity for that day that had been left empty.

Excellent tour! We did a 10 days safari and beach holiday in Zanzibar with Friends of Africa Family Safaris was treated very well. The tour guide was knowledgeable and the company was highly organized. Everything which we promised was there and more. I would definitely use this company again.

A colleague of mine recommended Friends of Africa Safari family for a 3 day trip to Serengeti from Mwanza. And we were not disappointed for a minute. I communicated with Mtaro the manager - he was very very responsive, fast and accommodating. I approached at short notice, and in just 2 days we had everything settled. It was easy to communicate and settle things done. Mtaro met us personally at airport and took us on a short visit to see Mwanza, as we arrived very early. We had Frank as guide and driver. Frank is very content, knows his business and is very professional. He does his job in utmost professional manner - he is knowledgeable in the Serengeti park. He knew all the little routes and really got us to see everything. Unbelievable - this is my 5th park (Mikumi, Ngorongoro. Ruaha, Masai Mara) - and by far we saw the most of the habitat. Lions's family - it almost seemed that Frank discussed with them to wait for us :), families of lions waiting for us. We got to see a kill and breakfast of a lions' family. Saw the wild cat - rare animal, elephants, migration of wild beast, leopard - walking towards us and many more. Some of it is luck, but a big part is Frank knowing where to take us. We did both: central Serengeti, and stayed in Sirena lodge and west serengeti and stayed in Mbalageti lodge. Both are great - but totally recommending Mbalangeti. OMG - the views and staff's care - just goes without saying - simply 5 stars plus! Overall I highly recommend this company - do not go for big names companies - they rip you off most of the times and treat you as one of the many clients. Friends of Africa family - are indeed a family and special approach. You will get a great value for money and want to come again! Thanks so much Mtaro and Franki!

My husband and first went on a trip organized by Mataro Kisiri 5 years ago. This three week trip included an amazing Kilimanjaro climb, a wonderful week-long safari and a week on Zanzibar. Each of these activities is amazing by itself – doing all three allowed us to, at least vertically, experience all of Africa. Mataro did a great job of asking us questions about the types of lodging we would like and the means of getting around and then providing what we were looking for. In Dec. and January, I brought a group of 20 students to Tanzania and I again had Mataro plan the Kilimanjaro and Safari aspects of the trip. For all of us it was an amazing expedition. If you are thinking about experiencing the birthplace of our species, Mataro is the person you should contact to set everything up for you.

End of 2018 we embarked on a Seven days Safari to Tarangire, Lake Eyasi, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. We were lucky to have a private jeep and tour guide. His name was Motika Daniel and we could not have been happier. He was extremley knowlegeable, took care of everything we needed and was a nice and easy person. We saw a lot of wildlife that he managed to spot for us. Already the booking process was smooth and effecient. Our agent Mr.Mwita, always replied swiflty. Even when we needed help with booking a domestic Flight tickets he went out of the way to assit us. We highly recommend booking with this company and we will definitely be returning customers.

My friend and I had an amazing 3-day safari in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. We saw every animal on our "hope-to-see" list, with great accommodations and an expert guide, Frank, who was very receptive to our specific interests. Our Mt. Kilimanjaro climb was an experience of a lifetime, and we made it safely to the top with much thanks to our guides and porters, especially Angelo and Wilfred.
