The iconic Palm Jumeirah is an absolutely stunning archipelago of man-made islands in the Persian Gulf at Jumeirah, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.  The Palm Jumeirah is built in the shape of a date palm tree and consists of three parts: a trunk, a crown with 17 fronds and a surrounding crescent island that forms a wave breaker.

Burj Al Arab  Jumeirah is undoubtedly one of the most famous landmarks and tourist attarctions in Dubai, and is renowned for its ‘seven-star status’. Since its opening in 1999, the Burj Al Arab has played host to a covetable guest list of VIPs and celebrities from all over the world, helping put Dubai on the global luxury tourism map. Built on its own island, the sail-shaped building rises 321m, providing an amazing view of the Persian Gulf. Burj Al Arab is best viewed from the coastline areas surrounding it, like from Sunset Beach or venues like Madinat Jumeirah from where the sail-shaped hotel makes for an iconic backdrop. 

As a tourist area there is no denying the appeal of Dubai Marina . Skyscrapers rub shoulders with its meandering canal, where luxury yachts wait patiently for their next departure. The area, which stretches from Al Sufouh Road and encompasses Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) has established itself as one of the city’s most popular neighborhoods.

The Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world  and a true global icon. This engineering marvel represents the heart and soul of the city of Dubai. Standing some 828 meters tall, this majestic structure is located next to the Dubai Mall and has been attracting visitors from all over the world since its opening in 2010. The Burj Khalifa offers unparalleled views that can be enjoyed from an breathtaking observation deck: At the Top, which has two floors located between the 124th and 125th floors of the building.

Submerged within the 30-acre Burj Lake, at the foot of The Dubai Mall, powerful water jets are laid out strategically over an area the length of two football pitches. The fountain jets up to 22,000 gallons of water as high as 140m in the air at any one time.

THE GAME OF SURVIVAL IN THE WILD KINGDOM OF THE MAASAI MARA 

In the Maasai Mara National Reserve, a game of survival unfolds between hyenas, vultures, crocodiles and herbivores.  The hyenas, cunning and agile, stalk in clans, looking for weakened prey to feed on. Meanwhile, vultures watch from above, waiting for their chance to descend and devour the carcasses. In the rivers, crocodiles lurk silently, waiting for herbivores to come near to drink water. But the herbivores, aware of the danger, remain on constant alert, forming herds and maintaining a strong instinct for mutual protection. In this fascinating game of life and death, only the strongest and most adapted survive in the relentless Maasai Mara wilderness.

Beer Under Glass will provide attendees a guided tour of Illinois’ dynamic craft beer scene. Featuring approximately 200 pours from roughly 100 breweries from Chicago to Downstate, Beer Under Glass gives craft beer fans a once-a-year opportunity to mingle with local brewers, enjoy timeless favorites, and discover new treasures. Bertrand’s first bike was a tiny green old-school Motobecane, which he started riding when he was three years old. Since then, he’s cycled every single week of his life—whether mountain biking in Pyrénées with his brothers, triathlon during university where he studied sports management, or road biking with his father. After three years in London working for the Olympic Games and then in hospitality, Bertrand decided to return to France to work in the French Alps. Inspired by the blend of challenge and reward when recreating in the mountains, Bertrand draws a parallel between cycling and guiding and recognizes the shared essence of both pursuits. For him, the big feast rewarded at the end of a tough ride is super satisfying.  As a curious and open-minded person, Bertrand loves to learn and share new things with guests on tour. After all, sharing is caring!

2021 IPA Tour Information

Ipa tour 2021.

Welcome to the home page for the 2021 IPA Tour, which, after a curtailed 2020 season due to Covid 19, is back, bigger and better than ever. With increased prize monies, and BBC Sport coverage, it promises to be one not to miss. So if you want to test yourself against the very best, here are all the details you need to know.

Entry fees for the main Tour:

Professionals – £980 Amateurs – £500 Ladies/Juniors – £350

Notes for 2020/2021 players If you have paid fees for 2020, and are returning in 2021 to the Tour, you will only have to pay for the additional 1 Tour event which is £100(assuming you were at Bournemouth) plus what fees were remaining from 2020. (£196 for Pro players)

All additional payments should be made by the 31st May 2021

So for example, Player A paid all the Tour fees – £500, and is playing in all the Tours this year, would only need to pay an extra £100. Player B paid £300 towards Tour fees in 2020 and is returning to the Tour in 2021, would pay the extra £100, plus the £200 remaining from 2020. Players who have received a refund from the 2020 season, are eligible to participate in the 2021 Tour season. The original ruling has now been relaxed that prevented them from taking part. The deposit paid for the 2020 season can be rolled forward for the 2021 season.

Hotel Booking

Players have to stay at the venue hotel.

Is on a first come first served basis. An overflow venue may be used if venue hotel does not have capacity. Bookings should be made through the IPA shop no later than 3 weeks before the start of the event. Players are not allowed to book the venue Hotel without going through the IPA shop. Any players who contravene this or who allow players to share their rooms without booking through the proper channels will be immediately dismissed from the Tour and all future IPA events. Bookings cannot be changed once paid for nor refunded unless in exceptional circumstances.

Room rates for 2021: Single – £75pp (inc breakfast) Twin/Double – £49pp (inc breakfast) Triple rooms are sometimes available depending on the venue – please contact IPA Tournament Official Bronnie Ward at [email protected] for information on this and all hotel related matters.

Draws/schedules The draws and schedules are usually available online around 10 days before the event. If you have an issue with your match times you should contact the Tournament Director as soon as possible at [email protected] Where possible we will try to accommodate a later start time in exceptional circumstances but cannot be guaranteed. IPA Tours are 3 full days of action – you should be prepared for early starts on Fridays. IPA Tour events generally start on Friday at 11am, and finish on the Sunday around 7pm. Matches will commence earlier than advertised where possible. Listen out for announcements at the events.

Polo Tops These will not be provided unlike previous years. Official playing tops can be ordered through the official provider Onboard Sportswear www.onboardsportswear.com and orders must be placed before the 31st January 2021 in order to receive your top at the 1st Tour. Any player not wearing an IPA logo on their polo top will have to forfeit their match. If players are wearing their own tops, the IPA logo must be displayed on either breast side. Personal sponsor logos are allowed up to a maximum of 4 logos. However personal logos that are in conflict with IPA sponsors/partners, will not be permitted to be worn on the live stream table/interviews etc.

Tablet Scoring The IPA uses a system of live scoring via tablets, which are located adjacent to each table. It is imperative that these are updated immediately after a frame has finished. Deliberate failure to do so will result in possible disciplinary action.

Standards of behaviour The IPA is the premier place for pool, and our events are held in the highest regard. We expect all players to conduct themselves appropriately at all times, especially during matches. Bad behaviour will be severely dealt with, through either a fine, or suspension from the Tour. Players are also asked to make note of the rules regarding betting which can be found on the IPA website at http://ipapool.com/player-betting-rules/

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Hold Hands at Las Vegas Gala

Some photos and videos of Swift and Kelce at the event circulated on social media. One fan posted on X, formerly called Twitter, that the pair were “super adorable” and “down to earth and kind” in the caption of a video .

“NBD. Just T Swift and her man Travis Kelce,” their fellow attendee shared. “And they are super adorable together. So down to earth & kind.... Just super cool badass human beings.”

Auctioneer Harry Santa also shared a selfie with Swift in his Instagram Stories, and in another video , Santa wrote it was Kelce who “convinced” Swift to donate four tickets to her massively popular show.

While making an onstage appearance, the Kansas City Chiefs star referred to Swift as his “significant other” as he shared the surprise donation

“I was just talking to my significant other and uh,” he said. “We might have one other auction item that wasn’t on the docket—has anyone heard of the Eras Tour?”

In another video on X, Swift can be seen sitting with Patrick and Brittany Mahomes, cheering during the auction. Santa then says, “Who would actually pay hundreds of thousands just to know Taylor Swift is actually cheering you on as you’re winning 4 of her tickets—this is insane! Let’s go!”

Kelce replied, “Let’s go baby!”

In another video , Santa announces the tickets sold for the “insane” $80,000 price tag. All-in-all, it was a very successful evening.

A night earlier, Kelce and Swift enjoyed some time with the two Mahomes at Easy’s Cocktail Lounge inside the ARIA Resort & Casino, according to TMZ . Brittany and Swift have developed a friendship over the last year as the singer has attended more and more of Kelce’s games in the VIP box.

Swift shape up: How Taylor trained 'like a pro athlete' in preparation for Eras tour

We’ve all watched Taylor Swift assimilate seamlessly into the world of professional sports as her romance with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has played out publicly. 

But who knew that it may indeed be Swift who is the fitter of the two?

Could the world’s most popular entertainer really be better conditioned than her Super Bowl champion boyfriend — a future Pro Football Hall of Famer who spends part of his off-season training in Boca Raton? 

It’s certainly conceivable to anyone who read what Swift’s longtime personal trainer — Kirk Myers —  told Vogue earlier this month about the singer’s “incredible work ethic” when it comes fitness training. 

The Vogue interview posted online on the same day that Swifties worldwide obsessed over the midnight and 2 a.m. releases of her "The Tortured Poets Department" double album ― 31 new songs in all.  

Myers explained to the magazine that Swift prepared for her record-breaking Eras tour with a regimen that’s “tailored” (pun intended) to her unique needs. 

“We approached her training for the Eras tour with the mindset like a professional athlete," he said. "There was an ‘off-season’ when she wasn't touring and ‘in-season’ when she was. When she’s not touring, we’re in the gym up to six days a week for sometimes two hours a day.”

Swift’s workouts focus on strength, conditioning and targeting her core. The energy and endurance needed to sing and dance during her marathon shows — which usually last three hours or more — burn untold calories and require the conditioning of an elite athlete. 

Indeed, these workouts were constructed with extreme attention to detail — including the ones she performed while touring. Training while touring was vital both for maintaining her conditioning and to give her the ability to recover after performing for three or four consecutive nights. 

“Taylor trained during the entire tour,” said Myers. “We would average two times a week. In-season training was more about maintenance, and so it was more like stability, mobility, biomechanics. If you’ve seen the show, you know how intense it is physically. Imagine doing that three, four days in a row and then you finally have a few off days and you’re still showing up to gym. That’s Taylor.” 

Myers believes that what sets Swift apart from others is her resiliency. 

“Taylor is the most resilient person I have ever met,” he said “It’s super-inspiring to see her consistently overcome obstacles and become better and stronger in the end. This also translates into her training and throughout her workouts. I give her a difficult exercise or challenging workout, not only is she able to complete and push through it — but she also perseveres, moving forward into the next exercise. This ultimately makes her stronger, better, and faster.”

It also provides Swift with the physical and mental fortitude to push through the most arduous aspects of being on a global tour.

As she told Time magazine in December, she relished her rare days off while touring. She'd use them solely for rest and recovery.

“I do not leave my bed except to get food and take it back to my bed and eat it there,” she said. “It’s a dream scenario. I can barely speak because I’ve been singing for three shows straight. Every time I take a step my feet go  crunch, crunch, crunch  from dancing in heels.”

Though Myers didn’t provide exact details of what Swift does when training in his Dogpound Gym, which has locations in Los Angeles and New York, he did assure readers that “it’s really hard" and that "some people would probably throw up or have to lay down on the floor if they trained like her.”

In December, when Swift was named Time’s Person of the Year , she revealed that part of her preparation for the tour included running on a treadmill daily while singing aloud the entire Eras setlist — that's a total of 44 songs that span nine albums. 

She said she’d set the treadmill “fast for fast songs, and a jog or a fast walk for slow songs.” 

She also told the publication that she gave up her self-described “frat guy” alcohol consumption so she’d be in the best shape of her life. 

“I was really disciplined about drinking,” she said. “I stopped drinking for a couple months before the show except for on Grammy night, which was hilarious. I gave myself a fun night for that one.” 

And while we’ve seen her knock back a beer or two while attending Kelce’s games in a private suite, Swift promised that when she’s on tour it’s all about giving her fans everything she has physically and emotionally.

“I know I'm not drinking on tour [and] I know I'm working out in between shows,” she said. “I know I'm keeping my strength and stamina up. I know I'm going on that stage whether I'm sick, injured, heartbroken, uncomfortable, or stressed. That’s part of my identity as a human being now. If someone buys a ticket to my show, I’m going to play it unless we have some sort of force majeure.” 

Not coincidentally, that’s essentially the same attitude that NFL players in general — and Swift’s three-time Super Bowl champion boyfriend — have when it comes to strapping it up on Sundays. 

No surprise then that from the outset Swift and Kelce have appeared to be such an ideal match.

Odell Beckham Jr . and the New York Giants need to reunite ... so says former DB Aaron Ross who tells us he'd "love" for the star receiver to return to the Big Apple.

"I would love that," Ross said of the 3x Pro Bowler ... who played his best professional football at the MetLife Stadium.

"From the first day he got to the Giants, that was the part that we needed since our Super Bowl run and he was amazing out there."

Of course, OBJ was drafted by Giants with the 12th overall pick in the 2014 draft ... and he had a breakout rookie season, catching 91 balls and 12 touchdowns in just 12 games (he was injured to start the season). 2015 and 2016 were equally as good ... and Odell was widely considered one of the top 2 or 3 wide receivers in the world.

OBJ also made what many consider to be the greatest catch in the history of football during a Sunday Night Football game against the Dallas Cowboys.

However, after several seasons marred by injury and on-field drama, Beckham Jr. was traded to the Browns before ultimately moving on to the Rams, where he won a Super Bowl .

Odell spent last season with the Ravens ... and is now a free agent.

"I think his personality matches the New York environment," the 2x Super Bowl-winning former Giants cornerback said. "So I'd love to see that."

There's been no word yet if OBJ has any interest in returning to the big city ... and the team did just take LSU receiver Malik Nabers (also where Beckham Jr. went to school) with their first-round pick.

"There's a few pieces that we need to plug in that will fit the scheme that the offensive coordinator has," Ross said.

We also talked about the future of defense in the National Football League ... as rules have made it more and more difficult to stop high-powered NFL offenses.

Ross had some advice for incoming defenders looking to succeed as a pro.

"As a defensive back, I would say learn the offensive schemes that you're going against, that way you can put yourself in a position to not have too many penalties," Ross said.

"You as a player eventually have to evolve, because since Pop Warner and middle school, high school, college -- it's changing."

Rory McIlroy knows how to party. 

The Northern Irish golf star celebrated a victory at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans team event on Sunday by chugging a Michelob ULTRA and belting out the lyrics to “Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey with a live band in front of a rocking audience of golf fans. 

The PGA Tour posted the video to its social media channels following the tournament win for McIlroy and his teammate Shane Lowry at TPC Louisiana.

The duo defeated ​​Chad Ramey and Martin Trainer in a playoff to capture the Zurich Classic and McIlroy won his 25th PGA Tour title and first of the season. 

McIlroy hit a brilliant pitch on the 72nd hole to set up a short Lowry birdie putt to force a playoff in what is the PGA Tour’s lone team event of the season.

Trainer missed a six-foot par putt that allowed McIlroy and Lowry the win and set off a boozy celebration on Sunday. 

“To win any PGA Tour event is very cool, but to do it with one of your closest friends — we’ve known each other for a long, long time, probably like over 20 years,” McIlroy said, per the Associated Press. “To think about where we met and where we’ve come from, to be on this stage and do this together — really, really cool journey that we’ve been a part of.”

In another video posted by the PGA Tour, the two are seen walking through a parking lot after the victory led by a New Orleans-style brass band after the win. 

A separate video shows McIlroy on a stage chugging a beer in front of a large gathering of golf fans. 

“People have come out in the thousands to support us. It’s not lost on me how cool that is,” McIlroy said about the crowds that followed during the tournament. “Every time I get to play in front of thousands of people, the little boy in me just thinks it’s so cool and so exciting.”

It was a fitting celebration given McIlroy previously told Claire Rogers of Golf.com that he asked Lowry to partner together at a “really drunken lunch” after the Ryder Cup.

Lowry had previously teamed with Padraig Harrington, who now plays on the Champions Tour.
