Junkyard Band in Concert

Junkyard Band came by their name honestly. Hailing from Washington, D.C.'s Barry Farms housing project, the group's preteen founding members grew up immersed in the sounds of go-go, the regionally popular style of funk that updated James Brown-style brass-band jams for the early-rap era. However, as they were lacking the means to purchase the horns, keyboards, and drums wielded by local heroes like Trouble Funk, the kids turned to what was readily available: plastic buckets, hubcaps, pots and pans, and other pieces of scrap they could thwack into a groove.

Taking to the streets of D.C. and planting themselves outside popular tourist attractions, the eight-piece collective became busker sensations. They even appeared on TV commercials for local retailers and scored a cameo in the 1983 comedy ‘D.C. Cab.' But by the time they signed to Russell Simmons' hip-hop hotbed, Def Jam Recordings, in 1985, the Junkyard Band had outgrown the bucket-bashing novelty. They began to incorporate the more traditional drum-kit beats and low-end synth frequencies heard on their debut single "The Word," which epitomized the boisterous block-party atmosphere of old-school rap. The more frivolous flipside cut, "Sardines," became a dance-floor staple in its own right; the group can be seen performing the track in Run-DMC's 1988 feature film, ‘Tougher Than Leather.' Junkyard Band's Def Jam tenure would yield only that one buzz-generating single and, over the subsequent decades, the group would exist primarily as an onstage entity. And despite experiencing some tragedies along the way (the shooting death of drummer Heavy One in 1992, the loss of bassist Derek Colquitt in a 2015 motorcycle accident), the beat goes on for the Junkyard Band, with the group adhering to their same party-starting principles and infectious team spirit.

Me & my brother had to much fun

I loved it & I will go back again & again that was my first time going

I had an awesome time

I took a friend for birthday the line was long the show did not start on time but overall it was great. Drinks were good too

The show was fantastic and very nostalgic. They've gotten a little "greyer" but the sound is still on point.

Buggs Bday Bash!

It was an Unforgettable Night for me! I enjoyed myself so much and I love love love JYB for life. The Howard Theatre looked awesome inside! I can't wait to go again to another show!

About junkyard.

Junkyard is a hard rock band formed in 1987 in Los Angeles (but claim to be from Austin TX), with members formerly in Minor Threat, The Big Boys, Decry and Dag Nasty. The band has often drawn comparisons with Guns N' Roses (which, like Junkyard, signed with Geffen Records). May 4, 2017 - Billboard magazine runs an article featuring Junkyard (and others) titled "Junkyard Announces Tour As The 1980s East Hollywood Rock Scene Returns" http://www.billboard.com/articles/business/7784715/junkyard-announces-tour-as-the-1980s-east-hollywood-rock-scene-returns -2015, Junkyard released two brand new songs "Faded b/w The River" on Unison Music Group. -2016 included 15 shows ranging from club dates in Denver, Dallas, Austin, Green Bay and Chicago to large festivals. -2017 brings a brand new release on Acetate Records (April 21, 2017) and many club dates worldwide.

Junkyard Announces Tour As The 1980s East Hollywood Rock Scene Returns

The veteran East Hollywood rock band's new album High Water this week cracked Billboard top 25 Hard Rock Album Sales Chart just as its scene from the late-80s is having something of a resurgence.

Junkyard

Junkyard , the veteran East Hollywood rock band whose new album  High Water  this week cracked Billboard top 25 Hard Rock Album Sales Chart, today announced dates for a US and UK summer tour (full tour dates below).

Over the past two years, the band has been plotting a comeback with its first album since its classic Sixes, Sevens and Nines  (Geffen, 1991) which is just now out on the band’s new label Acetate Records ( Supersuckers, Rhino Bucket, The Hangmen ). High Water  was produced by the band’s guitarist Tim Mosher and engineered by Bruce Witkin ( Hollywood Vampires ) at Unison Studios with songs co-written by founding member Brain Baker ( Bad Religion, Dag Nasty, Minor Threat ).

Billboard Explica: Anitta globaliza su funk

“I was excited to hear that Junkyard was writing new material,” Rick Ballard, Acetate’s founder, tells Billboard. “I was always a fan of the band and felt like they have more to offer than just the two albums that Geffen released. When I heard the first demos from what finally became High Water I knew it was a project that we had to be involved in.”

Trending on Billboard

Junkyard’s current line up consists of  David Roach, Pat Muzingo, Jimmy James, Todd Muscat and Mosher (full-disclosure: Mosher is a friend and I’ve had my face melted off by the band many times).

When they formed in 1987, Junkyard was part of an exploding East Hollywood rock scene (i.e. not the Strip) that birthed grittier rock acts with less hairspray and an unwillingness to indulge the Strip’s onerous pay-to-play booking policies. The clubs were all east of Crescent Heights Blvd. and included venues like Scream, White Trash A Go Go, Club Lingerie, Raji’s and Anti Club. The band’s original line-up consisted of Roach, Muzingo and Baker along with Chris Gates and Clay Anthony,

While the East Hollywood scene’s best known purveyors included Guns N’ Roses and Jane’s Addiction , the sound was much broader and included bands like The Hangmen, Lions and Ghosts, L.A. Guns, The Nymphs,  Faster Pussycat, Broken Homes, Burning Tree and Little Ceasar .

Recently the East Hollywood scene has been having something of a resurgence on several fronts. There’s a new documentary, Scenesters: Music, Mayhem & Melrose L.A. A Documentary 1985 -1990 producerd and directed by Desi Benjamin, a former A&R exec at Island and SBK/EMI Records. The film documents not only music from that era but also the fashion and lifestyle.

Many of the East Hollywood’s musicians worked by day at the then-trendy boutiques that lined Melrose Avenue and played the clubs by night. This included such artists as Taime Downe of Faster Pussycat, for example, who worked at Retail Slut, Mick Cripps of LA Guns who worked at Let It Rock, Junkyard’s Mosher and Baker who worked at Flashfeet of London; and Michael Lockwood of L ions and Ghosts who was employed at the iconic Soap Plant.

“We were all broke and had to make some money,” says Mosher, who now works as a composer for film and television. “You couldn’t walk down Melrose in the late-1980s and early-90s without seeing some long haired rock musician decked out in leather and eye-liner handing out a flyer for that night’s show.”

Beyond the documentary, LA Rock Review , a magazine from that period, was a key chronicler of the scene and recently promoted two shows featuring The Nymphs, Broken Glass a nd Funhouse among others at the Viper Room. A full re-launch of the magazine is in the works.

Meanwhile, bands from that time are still actively touring and recording including Little Ceasar who are supporting Junkyard on their east coast dates; Rhino Bucket who have a new album on Acetate; and the Hangmen, Faster Pussycat and LA Guns are all still rocking.

The motivation behind Junkyard’s  High Water , which marks the band’s first album in 27 years (though there’s been bootlegs and singles), is more than just nostalgia, says Mosher. “There’s a diehard fan base that never stopped digging us,” he says. “During our sporadic touring we would always come across fans asking us when we would release a proper full-length. We’ve been writing new songs for the last couple of years and looked at this as a chance to do a real third Junkyard album.”

The new album also includes a track by Charlie Starr of Blackberry Smoke , who as a longtime Junkyard fan contributed the song “Till the Wheels Fall Off” to High Water .  “It is exactly the right time for a new Junkyard album,” Starr said in a statement, “not just because they are one of my favorite bands ever, but because they are a real rock and roll band and always have been.”

With rock’s changing demographics, it makes sense that Starr and Blackberry Smoke, who are considered an outlaw country standard bearer, would dovetail with Junkyard. Back in the day, Junkyard opened for Lynyrd Skynyrd at the same time bands like the Black Crowes opened for them. There’s a historical and natural affinity between country and rock that of course dates back much further.

In addition to Ballard, Junkyard’s team includes the Artists Worldwide Agency who put the US/UK tour together. A new single and video for “Styrofoam Cup” is also in the offing with more dates being set for fall.

The band is just back from playing the M3 Rock Festival at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Maryland. That show included an appearance by Baker, who most appropriately guested on the band’s classic 80s rock anthem “Hollywood.”

If “It’s Been a While” since you’ve seen Staind in concert, now’s your chance. Staind is out on its Tailgate Tour with Seether as opener.

The hard-rock band will be at the Wharf Amphitheater in Orange Beach, Ala., on May 14, and Oak Mountain Amphitheater near Birmingham on May 15.

How to find tickets

Find tickets to the Orange Beach show at Ticketmaster | StubHub | SeatGeek | Vivid Seats .

Find tickets to the Birmingham show at Ticketmaster | StubHub | SeatGeek | Vivid Seats .

The site AmericanSongwriter.com says: “Since their debut in 1996, Staind has become a legendary band in the worlds of hard rock, metal and post-grunge. Frontman Aaron Lewis wrote most of the band’s material that is oftentimes unsettling, and even disturbing, compelling the listener to think and take an honest look at their own life alongside Lewis, who takes you inside the depths of his mind.”

New Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Foreigner will bid farewell to Missouri this summer

junkyard rock band tour

In the sports world, fans rarely have a chance to see a star play after being named to their game's hall of fame.

In music, the opportunity remains rare but comes around a bit more often. Classic-rock fans will get that chance — at least three of them — starting this summer when newly-minted Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Foreigner swing through the Show Me State.

The hall's 2024 class was named Sunday; Foreigner joins the likes of A Tribe Called Quest, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Mary J. Blige and more to be inducted in a future ceremony.

Foreigner's three scheduled Missouri dates are part of a farewell tour running through the end of 2024, and possibly beyond. Closest to home here in Columbia, the band will play the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia Aug. 8 with Maggie Rose. Tickets are $50-$60.

First though, the band will play Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in the St. Louis area June 18; Foreigner will also play Ozarks Amphitheater in Camdenton Oct. 4.

Before the band hits its final stride, here's a quick look at Foreigner, by the numbers.

Foreigner, by the numbers

1976: The year British guitarist Mick Jones formed the band in New York City.

1: The highest American chart position achieved by one of Foreigner's singles; "I Want to Know What Love Is," the band's only No. 1 stateside hit, topped the charts in 1984.

9: The amount of Top 10 hits the band scored in the U.S., starting with 1977's "Feels Like the First Time" and ending with "I Don't Want to Live Without You" in 1988.

2009: The date of the band's most recent album release, "Can't Slow Down"; AllMusic scribe Stephen Thomas Erlewine said the record "sounds like it could have been a hit in the late '80s."

2003: The end of star singer Lou Gramm's official run in Foreigner, though he has popped up and on stage with the band on a few occasions.

1: Number of original Foreigner members left: Jones is the only remaining founder, though several of the current members have been around for some time, including singer Kelly Hansen since 2005.

Jones' touring role has been limited for some time by Parkinson's disease.

"As to whether I get up on stage and perform hasn’t really been decided as yet," Jones told Billboard about the forthcoming Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony . "In some ways it might be nice just to be there to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy being inducted."

Dickey Betts, Allman Brothers Band co-founder and legendary guitarist, dies at 80

Updated on: April 18, 2024 / 8:38 PM EDT / AP

Guitar legend Dickey Betts, who co-founded the Allman Brothers Band and wrote their biggest hit, "Ramblin' Man," has died. He was 80.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer died at his home in Osprey, Florida, David Spero, Betts' manager of 20 years, confirmed. Betts had been battling cancer for more than a year and had chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, Spero said.

"He was surrounded by his whole family and he passed peacefully. They didn't think he was in any pain," Spero said by phone.

Betts shared lead guitar duties with Duane Allman in the original Allman Brothers Band to help give the group its distinctive sound and create a new genre — Southern rock. Acts ranging from Lynyrd Skynyrd to Kid Rock were influenced by the Allmans' music, which combined the blues, country, R&B and jazz with '60s rock.

DICKEY BETTS-DECESO

Founded in 1969, the Allmans were a pioneering jam band, trampling the traditional notion of three-minute pop songs by performing lengthy compositions in concert and on record. The band was also notable as a biracial group from the Deep South.

Duane Allman died in a motorcycle accident in 1971, and founding member Berry Oakley was killed in a motorcycle crash a year later. That left Betts and Allman's younger brother Gregg as the band's leaders, but they frequently clashed, and substance abuse caused further dysfunction. The band broke up at least twice before reforming, and has had more than a dozen lineups.

The Allman Brothers Band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1995 and earned a Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award in 2012. Betts left the group for good in 2000, and also played solo and with his own band Great Southern, which included his son, guitarist Duane Betts.

Forrest Richard Betts was born Dec. 12, 1943, and was raised in the Bradenton, Florida, area, near the highway 41 he sang about in "Ramblin' Man." His family had lived in area since the mid-19th century.

Betts grew up listening to country, bluegrass and Western swing, and played the ukulele and banjo before focusing on the electric guitar because it impressed girls. At 16 he left home for his first road trip, joining the circus to play in a band.

He returned home, and with bassist Oakley joined a group that became the Jacksonville, Florida-based band Second Coming. One night in 1969 Betts and Oakley jammed with Duane Allman, already a successful session musician, and his younger brother, and together they formed the Allman Brothers Band.

The group moved to Macon, Georgia, and released a self-titled debut album in 1969. A year later came the album "Idlewild South," highlighted by Betts' instrumental composition "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed," which soon became a concert staple.

The 1971 double album "At Fillmore East," now considered among the greatest live albums of the classic rock era, was the Allmans' commercial breakthrough and cemented their performing reputation by showcasing the unique guitar interplay between Allman and Betts. Their styles contrasted, with Allman playing bluesy slide guitar, while Betts' solos and singing tugged the band toward country. When layered in harmony, their playing was especially distinctive.

The group also had two drummers — "Jaimoe" Johanson, who is Black, and Butch Trucks.

Duane Allman died four days after "Fillmore" was certified as a gold record, but the band carried on and crowds continued to grow. The 1973 album "Brothers and Sisters" rose to No. 1 on the charts and featured "Ramblin' Man," with Betts singing the lead and bringing twang to the Top 40. The song reached No. 2 on the singles charts and was kept out of the No. 1 spot by "Half Breed" by Cher, who later married Gregg Allman.

The soaring sound of Betts' guitar on "Ramblin' Man" reverberated in neighborhood bars around the country for decades, and the song underscored his knack for melodic hooks. "Ramblin' Man" was the Allmans' only Top Ten hit, but Betts' catchy 7½-minute instrumental composition "Jessica," recorded in 1972, became an FM radio staple.

Betts also wrote or co-wrote some of the band's other best-loved songs, including "Blue Sky" and "Southbound." In later years the group remained a successful touring act with Betts and Warren Haynes on guitar. Gregg Allman and Butch Trucks died in 2017.

After leaving the Allmans for good, Betts continued to play with his own group and lived in the Bradenton area with his wife, Donna.

Dickey Betts, who died Thursday at age 80, really was born a ramblin’ man.

He left home at 16 to join the circus and became a renowned guitarist touring the world with the Allman Brothers Band. He wrote the group’s biggest hit, “Ramblin’ Man,” and remained on the road until he reached the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Betts died at his home in Osprey, Florida, his manager of 20 years, David Spero, said by phone. He had been battling cancer for more than a year and had chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, Spero said.

AP correspondent Margie Szaroleta reports on the death of former Allman Brothers Band guitarist Dickey Betts.

Betts shared lead guitar duties with Duane Allman in the original Allman Brothers Band to help give the group its unique sound and create a new genre, Southern rock. The band blended blues, country, R&B and jazz with ’60s rock to produce a distinct sound that influenced a host of major acts, including Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, Phish, Jason Isbell and Chris Stapleton, among many others.

“My first concert was Dickey Betts at Coleman’s in Rome, New York in 1983,” blues-rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa said in an Instagram post Thursday, crediting Betts with inspiring his favorite electric guitar model. “Blew my mind and made me want a Les Paul.”

Other tributes came from members of the Allman Brothers Band’s extended family.

Guitarist Derek Trucks and his wife and bandmate, Susan Tedeschi, posted on their Instagram account that Betts was “one of best to ever do it.”

Trucks joined the Allman Brothers Band in 1999. His uncle Butch Trucks was one of the band’s two founding drummers.

Bassist Berry Duane Oakley, son of Allman Brothers founding bassist Berry Oakley, honored his “Uncle Dickey” on Facebook, saying: “If not for him, I don’t think I would be a touring musician. The cat in the hat will never be forgotten, and will always be honored not only for the wonderful life he lived, but the wonderful music he has left behind for all of us to share and remember.”

Founded in 1969, the Allmans were a pioneering jam band, trampling the traditional formula of three-minute pop songs by performing lengthy compositions in concert and on record. The band was also notable as a biracial group from the Deep South.

Duane Allman died in a motorcycle accident in 1971, and Berry Oakley was killed in a motorcycle crash the following year. That left Betts and Allman’s younger brother, Gregg, as the band’s leaders, but they frequently clashed, and substance abuse caused further dysfunction. The band broke up at least twice before reforming, and has had more than a dozen lineups.

The Allman Brothers Band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1995 and earned a Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award in 2012. Betts left the group for good in 2000. He also played solo and with his own band Great Southern, which included his son, guitarist Duane Betts.

Forrest Richard Betts was born Dec. 12, 1943, and raised in the Bradenton, Florida, area, near the highway 41 he sang about in “Ramblin’ Man.” His family had lived in area since the mid-19th century.

A descendant of Canadian fiddlers, Betts was listening to string bands before he even started school. He developed a fondness for country, bluegrass and Western swing, and played the ukulele and banjo before focusing on the electric guitar because it impressed girls. But he usually did his songwriting on an acoustic guitar.

Betts changed schools often because his father worked construction, and those memories later inspired him to write “Ramblin’ Man.” His first big road trip came when he joined the circus to play in a band.

He returned home, and with Oakley joined a group that became the Jacksonville, Florida-based band Second Coming. One night in 1969, Betts and Oakley jammed with Duane Allman, already a successful session musician, and his younger brother. Together they formed the Allman Brothers Band.

Betts “excelled at anything that caught his attention,” according to a statement posted Thursday on the Allman Brothers Band’s official website. “He was passionate in life, be it music, songwriting, fishing, hunting, boating, golf, karate or boxing.”

The group moved to Macon, Georgia, and released a self-titled debut album in 1969. A year later came the album “Idlewild South,” highlighted by Betts’ instrumental composition “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed,” which soon became a concert favorite.

The 1971 double album “At Fillmore East,” now considered among the greatest live albums of the classic rock era, was the Allmans’ commercial breakthrough and cemented their performing reputation by showcasing the unique guitar interplay between Allman and Betts. Their styles contrasted, with Allman playing bluesy slide guitar, while Betts’ solos and singing tugged the band toward country. When layered in harmony, their playing was especially distinctive.

The group also had two drummers — Butch Trucks and John Lee “Jaimoe” Johanson, a Black musician from Mississippi who helped integrate Southern rock.

Duane Allman died four days after “Fillmore” was certified as a gold record, but the band carried on and crowds continued to grow. The 1973 album “Brothers and Sisters” rose to No. 1 on the charts and featured “Ramblin’ Man,” with Betts singing the lead and bringing twang to the Top 40. The song’s intro suggested a fiddle tune, while the coda was inspired by Derek and the Dominos’ “Layla,” an earlier hit that had featured Duane Allman.

“Ramblin’ Man” reached No. 2 on the singles charts and was kept out of the No. 1 spot by “Half Breed” by Cher, who later married Gregg Allman . Betts’ composition became a classic-rock standard, with his soaring guitar reverberating in neighborhood bars around the country for decades.

“Ramblin’ Man” was the Allmans’ only Top Ten hit, but Betts’ catchy 7 ½-minute instrumental composition “Jessica,” recorded in 1972, also showed his knack for melodic hooks and became an FM radio staple. Painstaking in his approach to songwriting, Betts spent two months composing “Jessica,” which was inspired by the music of jazz guitar great Django Reinhardt.

Betts also wrote or co-wrote some of the Allmans’ other best-loved songs, including “Blue Sky” and “Southbound.”

Dormant for most of the 1980s, the Allman Brothers Band launched a comeback in 1990 with Warren Haynes joining Betts on guitar.

Betts recorded three more studio albums and toured with the band over the next decade, but he had an acrimonious split from the Allman Brothers in 2000. His bandmates suspended the guitarist from their summer tour and issued a statement blaming “creative differences.”

Betts said Gregg Allman and the other members delivered the news in a fax implying he needed treatment for substance abuse. Betts took legal action and settled with the band in arbitration. The breakup was permanent. Gregg Allman and Butch Trucks died in 2017.

After leaving the Allmans for good, Betts continued to play with his own group and lived in the Bradenton area with his wife, Donna.

This story has been updated to correct the spelling of Dickey Betts’ name. It is Dickey Betts, not Dickie Betts.

US warned Russia after steady stream of intelligence that ISIS-K was determined to attack, source says

From CNN’s Alex Marquardt, Natasha Bertrand and Jennifer Hansler

Ambulances and vehicles of Russian emergency services are seen parked outside the burning Crocus City Hall concert venue outside Moscow on Friday.

Starting in November, there has been a steady stream of intelligence that ISIS-K was determined to attack in Russia, according to two sources familiar with the intelligence.

It was “fairly specific” intelligence, rising to the level of a duty to warn and the US intelligence community did indeed warn Russia, one of the sources said. But it’s not clear if this is directly tied to the March 7 warning by the US embassy in Moscow.

Russian state media  reported  on March 7 that the FSB prevented an ISIS attack on a synagogue in Moscow, according to Reuters. The ISIS attackers were killed in a gunfight, the reports said.

A US official told CNN that the US is working to determine who is culpable for the attack at a Moscow concert venue.

Adrienne Watson, National Security Council spokesperson, issued a statement Friday on the US warning Russia about an attack.

"Earlier this month, the US government had information about a planned terrorist attack in Moscow – potentially targeting large gatherings, to include concerts – which prompted the State Department to issue a public advisory to Americans in Russia. The US Government also shared this information with Russian authorities in accordance with its longstanding ‘duty to warn’ policy."

Macron condemns Moscow terror attack and expresses solidarity with all Russians, Elysee Palace says

From CNN's Jonny Hallam

French President Emmanuel Macron said he "strongly condemns the terrorist attack claimed by the Islamic State" that left at least 40 people dead and more than 100 injured in a Moscow concert hall Friday, according to AFP and Reuters citing the Elysee Palace.

UN Security Council condemns "heinous" terrorist attack in Moscow

From CNN's Richard Roth and Mia Alberti

The United Nations Security Council condemned the "heinous and cowardly" attack at the Crocus concert hall in Krasnogorsk, in Moscow, on Friday, which left 40 dead and more than 140 people injured.

"The members of the Security Council expressed their deepest sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims and to the Russian people, and they wished a speedy and full recovery to those who were injured," the UNSC said in a statement.

The members of the UNSC urged all States to cooperate with the Russian government to "hold perpetrators, organizers, financiers and sponsors of these reprehensible acts of terrorism accountable and bring them to justice."

"The members of the Security Council reiterated that any acts of terrorism are criminal and unjustifiable, regardless of their motivation, wherever, whenever and by whomsoever committed," it said.

Moscow terror attack leaves 115 people hospitalized, 60 in "serious condition," Russian health minister says

From CNN's Darya Tarasova

Emergency services personnel and servicemen are seen outside the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Krasnogorsk, outside Moscow, on Friday.

Following the deadliest terror attack on Moscow in decades, 115 people have been hospitalized of which 60 are in a "serious condition," according to Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko.

“We hospitalized 115 people, five of them are children. One child is in serious condition,” Murashko said in an early morning statment on Saturday according to Russian state media TASS.

UN chief strongly condemns "terrorist attack" in Russia

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has condemned "in the strongest possible terms today's terrorist attack at a concert hall outside Moscow," according to a statement released by deputy spokesperson for the Secretary-General, Farhan Haq.

"The Secretary-General conveys his deep condolences to the bereaved families and the people and the Government of the Russian Federation. He wishes those injured a speedy recovery," the statement said.

Moscow urgently calls for blood donors to help treat dozens of wounded

Moscow City Duma Chairman Alexey Shaposhnikov late Friday called on Muscovites to come forward and give blood to help treat the dozens of wounded following Russia's deadliest terror attack in decades.

“After today’s tragedy in Crocus, many victims need donor blood. I ask you to donate blood for the wounded! Now this is very important, this is a matter of life and death for dozens of people,” Shaposhnikov said on Telegram

Shaposhnikov listed several blood center facilities in the Moscow area that will accept donors throughout the weekend.
