KISS Announces ‘Absolute Final Shows' for Their ‘End of the Road' Farewell Tour

The iconic rock band KISS has announced the “absolute final shows of their final tour,” which will take the band for one last ride across North America which will then end with a cherry on top at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Dec. 1 and 2.

The band's “End of the Road Tour,” which started back in 2018 and was originally scheduled to end in 2021 but was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, lists 19 shows and will kick off Oct. 29 in Austin, Texas with stops in California, Washington, Illinois, New York, and Canada.

As for the lineup, the band will bring back two original members, Paul Stanley, and Gene Simmons, along with drummer Eric Singer and guitarist Tommy Thayer.

“KISS was born in New York City. On 23rd Street. Half a century ago. It will be a privilege and honor to finish touring at Madison Square Garden, 10 blocks and 50 years from where we first started,” the band said.

Tickets for the newly announced tour dates will go on presale on March 6, with a Kiss Army presale at 10 a.m. ET.

How to get tickets to Kiss’ last-ever farewell tour shows in NYC

The band will play Madison Square Garden at the end of the year.

It's time to say goodbye to iconic rock band Kiss as members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley announced that their final concerts ever will take place at Madison Square Garden on December 1 and 2.

The location for the last shows isn't coincidental as Kiss was famously formed in New York back in 1973.

"We’re finishing up where we started," Stanley said on The Howard Stern Show this week. "When you come to see the show, it's awesome. It's clearly a kick-ass rock 'n roll show. It's everything Kiss. Just amped up and ramped up. We're giving it everything we have."

The band has been on its much-chronicled End of the Road World Tour since the beginning of 2019 and, although plans always included a final leg in New York, the COVID-19 pandemic forced organizers to switch up some dates, hence the latest announcement.

As for why the quartet has decided to retire, we suspect it has something to do with their respective ages. Original band members Stanley and Simmons are now 71 and 73, respectively. Drummer Peter Criss is 77 and and lead guitarist Paul Daniel "Ace" Frehley, who is a Kiss co-founder but left the group in 1982 until his return in 1996, is now 71.

"We can’t be running around for that much longer in 40 pounds of gear," Stanley said to Rolling Stone . "There’s nothing maudlin about it. It’s a celebration with our fans around the world. We wanted to raise the bar again as to what a band can do live. That’s really what we’ve always done: We’ve always wanted to be the band we never saw. There are a lot of shows out there that have Kiss DNA in them because they really weren’t shows of any magnitude before us."

Rock n roll legends KISS announced the addition of four new dates on their final tour, THE END OF THE ROAD TOUR . Produced by Live Nation, these final runs of shows will kick off this October and now include stops in Detroit, Nashville, St. Louis and Ft. Worth before wrapping up with a massive show in the city where it all began for KISS. New York City has been a part of the band’s ethos and storyline for more than four decades, so they felt it fitting to culminate an iconic Rock & Roll Hall of Fame worthy career on stage at New York’s famed MADISON SQUARE GARDEN.

For enhanced safety and speed of entry, we strongly discourage guests from bringing bags to events. All fans are urged to arrive early and travel light.

If a bag is necessary, the following restrictions and processes apply:

• Backpacks of any size are considered prohibited items and are NOT allowed into the arena.
• Bags that measure larger than 12”x12”x6” are prohibited and are NOT allowed into the arena.
• Bags that measure between 6”x4”x1.5” and 12”x 12”x6” (including clear bags and Nashville Locker Room bags) are subject to x-ray screening and visual inspection. 
• Bags that measure smaller than 6” x 4” x 1.5” may proceed through express screening lanes for visual inspection.  
• Diaper bags and bags needed for medical reasons are allowed but will be subject to x-ray screening.
• We kindly ask that you reach out to Bridgestone Arena Customer Service ([email protected]) 24 hours prior to your event if you want to arrange for additional accommodations before arrival. 

Reminder:  Patrons with prohibited items will not be permitted entry to the arena. Bridgestone Arena does not provide on-site storage. Guests are asked to plan accordingly and allow for extra time when arriving at Bridgestone Arena.

Known for their stage antics and spectacular live shows, Kiss has developed a huge following of fans through their touring – in fact, when the band first hit the big time it was arguably thanks to their high energy and impact performances.

Rock band Kiss is currently comprised of frontman and bassist Gene Simmons, singer and rhythm guitarist Paul Stanley, drummer Eric Singer, and lead guitarist Tommy Thayer. The band has sold more than 100 million albums and the original four members – Simmons and Stanley, alongside Peter Criss and Ace Frehley – were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014. The four members of the band portray four characters: the Starchild, the Demon, the Spaceman, and The Catman. The band’s music has been inspired by a number of genres, from glam metal to hard rock to heavy metal to disco to prog rock.

The band formed in 1973 in New York and immediately started experimenting with their image using makeup and wild outfits. They played their first shows and released their first demo in 1973 before signing to Casablanca Records and releasing their debut self-titled album the following year. Their star began to rise because of their electric live shows which featured Simmons lighting his hair on fire, incredible lighting displays, and pyrotechnics. They reached real stardom with their live album Alive!, released in 1975, followed by their 1976 platinum album Destroyer. The band is known for singles including Shout It Out Loud, Beth, and Detroit Rock City.

The Rolling Stones will launch the group’s Hackney Diamonds North American tour on April 28 at NRG Houston, and the lineup of openers for various dates on the tour includes a few heavy-hitters from country and Americana circles.

Wilson will open for The Rolling Stones on June 30 at Soldier Field in Chicago, while Childers, who released his sixth album Rustin in the Rain in 2023, will perform June 3 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando. The Red Clay Strays, who earned their first major Billboard Hot 100 entry this year with “Wondering Why,” will open for the rockers on May 30 at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass. Grammy-nominated duo The War and Treaty, who just released the video for their song “Stealing a Kiss,” will open for The Stones on July 10 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

The tour supports The Rolling Stones’ album Hackney Diamonds , their first project of new, original material in nearly two decades.

Notably, Wilson and The War and Treaty were part of a 2023 tribute album to The Rolling Stones, Stoned Cold Country, which featured several country artists performing Stones classics.

PURPLE KISS Announces Dates For 18-City 2024 Tour "BXX"

PURPLE KISS is heading abroad on tour!

On April 25 at midnight KST, PURPLE KISS officially announced their plans for their 2024 tour “BXX.”

This June, the group will kick off their tour in the United States, where they will perform in Oceanside on June 2, Las Vegas on June 5, Salt Lake City on June 7, Sacramento on June 10, San Jose on June 11, Portland on June 13, and Seattle on June 14.

PURPLE KISS will then head to Canada, where they will perform in Vancouver on June 16, Edmonton on June 18, Calgary on June 19, Regina on June 22, Winnipeg on June 24, Toronto on June 27, Montreal on June 29, Quebec City on June 30, and Halifax on July 2.

Finally, PURPLE KISS will return to Asia to perform in Japan, where they will hold concerts in Osaka and Kanagawa on July 17 and July 20 respectively.

Just days after wrapping up an extended and successful tour in South America on her own, an exciting news: March 2024 will witness the first time in 18 years when Tarja will tour again with Marko Hietala!!

Having shared many albums and world tours, they will get back together on stage within Tarja´s own “Living the Dream – The Hits Tour 2024”.

The album remastered at Sterling Sound presents her new single “Eye of The Storm” together with material from all her rock albums ‘My Winter Storm’, ‘What Lies Beneath’, ‘Colours in the Dark’, ‘The Brightest Void’, ‘The Shadow Self’ and ‘In the Raw’.

Often recognized as the Queen on the symphonic rock scene, Tarja is the best-known Finnish solo artist in the world of music. Soprano, composer, and performer, she achieved worldwide fame by co-founding and being the voice and image of the Finnish metal band Nightwish for nine years, with whom she garnered Gold and Platinum records in many countries. But she was not alone in the band as Marko was an integral part of it as well.

Marko will perform his own songs together with his band mate, the talented guitarist Tuomas Wäinolä and after that will join Tarja on stage for a memorable night.
