Most airlines in the world offer electronic tickets, sometimes known as e-tickets. Since the airline’s computerized ticketing system maintains your flight confirmation in an electronic format, using an e-ticket eliminates the need for a paper ticket or record.

With an e-ticket, you can travel without worrying about losing your paper ticket because you won’t need to bring it with you. You do not need to wait for your ticket to arrive via postal mail because it is available in electronic version. By using your e-ticket at the self-service check-in kiosks, you can skip the lengthy waits at the few manual check-in counters that are still in use by most airlines. You can also print your boarding pass and track your air miles (if applicable) by using these automated machines. To use this service you will need the following means of identification:

  • Traveler loyalty card.
  • An e-ticket receipt.
  • You will need to confirm the airline reference number given at the time of booking.

If you receive a paper ticket (a card ticket/coupon in a wallet) you must present this at the airport check-in counter or you will be unable to board your flight. Few tips which may be helpful for you with respect to your baggage:

Please check your hand luggage allowance with your airline prior to packing. As a general guideline, keep the hand luggage up to maximum weight of 5 kilos, and dimensions not exceeding 450mm x 350 mm x 200mm (Height x Width x Depth). Most airlines have a hand luggage measurement gauge at check-in.

Any kind of liquids, gels and cosmetics exceeding 100ml are not permitted in hand luggage. All smaller containers must be taken in a transparent plastic bag.

It is important that you find out your free allowance for checked baggage. Baggage allowance limits are determined and set by the airlines. Your baggage allowance is stated on your e-ticket receipt or paper ticket (where applicable).

Note: As a strict rule, airlines do not allow sharp objects like razors, knives, blades, etc in the hand luggage. Remember to pack sharp objects in your checked baggage.

Weight limits for most airlines:

Passengers travelling in Economy Class – 20 kg (44 lbs) without extra charges.

Passengers travelling in Business Class – 30 kg (66 lbs).

No single bag weighing over 32 kg will be accepted at check-in and you may be asked to re-pack before you check in.

A Piece System is in place for travelers heading to the US and Canada. The overall size and weight of each piece of checked baggage, including the length, width, and height, cannot exceed 158 cm and 23 kg, respectively.

In order to minimize unneeded delays and discomfort, it is advisable that you check your baggage allowance by getting in touch with the airline that you are flying with. Sporting equipment and other items that weigh more over 32 kg should be prearranged with the airline by the passenger. Please be aware that you can carry weight above the allowed limit for a fee that can be confirmed by calling the airline.

How long before my departure do I need to check-in? 

Please check in as per the following requirement:

International flights – Check-in at least 3 hours prior to departure.

European flights – Check-in at least 2 hours prior to departure.

Domestic flights – Check-in at least 1 hour prior to departure.

Please be aware that 45 minutes prior to departure, boarding begins. If you fail to get to the airport by the given time and are unable to board your flight as a result, Mann Travel disclaims all responsibility.

International flights – Check-in at least 3 hours prior to departure.

European flights – Check-in at least 2 hours prior to departure.

Domestic flights – Check-in at least 1 hour prior to departure.

Please be aware that 60 minutes prior to departure, boarding begins. If you fail to get to the airport by the given time and are unable to board your flight as a result, Mann Travel disclaims all responsibility.

Your flight’s departure terminal will be noted on your e-ticket or the itinerary that was included with your paper ticket (if applicable). If you have any questions, you can call us at 0208 099 9900 .

To make changes to your flight or hotel reservation, call our customer service department at 0208 099 9900 . All changes to reservations for flights or hotels must be made in accordance with the terms of the fare purchased, so not all bookings can be changed.

Before travelling to or from specific nations, such as Dubai, the USA, South Africa, Spain, Thailand, and China, Advance Passenger Information (API) is gathered for every passenger. Airlines are now required by law to gather the following advance passenger data (API).

  • Passport number
  • Nationality
  • Date of birth
  • Full name as it appears on the passport
  • Passport number, country of issue and expiry date
  • Country of residence

Most passports may access the majority of the aforementioned details using a reader at check-in. Please be aware that every cancellation entails costs that the passenger is responsible for paying. These fees change based on the specifics of the reservation and are subtracted from any refunds you receive. I walked into their Arboretum office on 3/16 w/my Service Dog. Asked for assistance planning 2 trips for 2 passengers and my Service Dog. Was told "will have something for you by end of week." I thought that was an aggressive timeline, but, hey, that was her commit. After 3 calls, 3 emails, I finally received a reply 3 weeks later. The totality of the response: "Thank you for stopping in. I am working on your request and will have information shortly." That was 2+ weeks ago. I emailed the "emergency travel" address (edited the subjected line to read: "Non-emergency, BUT need HELP." Haven't heard a word. I'm relying on friends to help plan. The "coming into your office with a Service Dog" should have been the first clue REAL, expert help was needed. Instead....I'm wondering how they can even afford rent on their Arboretum office. Close it down; there is no service there anyway.

Oh my goodness! After reading some of these reviews it felt like some of you were on our trip to Hawaii! Currently, I am not at liberty to share my experience in detail. Suffice it to say it was the worse experience I have had, I have never cried so much during a vacation as I did on this vacation: It feels like I have been scammed, after months of planning and being told one thing just to discover they were nothing but lies. After my money and the money of my guests it got worse. I will come back here once there is a resolution or I am released to share. I don't want anyone to ever go through what my guests and I experienced. Didn't want to give any stars. Please do your research before you make any decisions.

My husband and I booked a trip to St.Lucia for our 12 anniversary through Mann Travel scheduled for late March of this year (2020). We were sold travel insurance that included a Cancel for Any Reason rider. Because of the COVID-19 issues, travel became less possible as our departure time approached, and then became impossible with the travel bans in both the USA and St.Lucia. We have been more than disappointed and entirely frustrated with the assistance we have received from Mann Travel. It would appear that our Cancel for Any Reason rider was a scam - or at least an unacceptable misrepresentation. Our claim was denied and appeals rejected. We have been forced to deal with United Airlines, Sandals, TripMate, and Unique Vacations directly as our travel agency seemed willing to give up on making this right. So far we are out every dollar we spent for the trip including the money spent for the trip insurance, and Mann Travel does not seem to have the position that this is their problem at all. We certainly understand that the pandemic created more than challenging situations for all components of the travel industry, but travel agencies still have an obligation to take care of their customers - especially when they recommended and sold us insurance that was to cover any trip cancellation possibilities. We are thoroughly dissatisfied with the services we have been provided, and would not recommend Mann Travel as a service to assist with travel planning. Kathy R

Update: Mann Travels did resolve the issue and try their best to make it right. But I still wouldn't put my faith in them to book a vacation - This should never have happened to begin with. After winning a 2 night stay to Myrtle Beach I was very excited to spend this precious time with my mother. The certificate for our stay supposedly included a 2 night stay as well as a gift card for a dinner and skywheel passes. I had reached out Mann Travels and an agent was assigned to help us book the trip. After providing the necessary documentation to the agent I was unable to reach her for several weeks to actually book the trip. I would call and leave voicemails weekly without any return. Finally I decided to call the general Mann Travels number and finally was able to speak to a human again which was a breath of fresh air. This agent was helpful and sent us links to be able to even look at which properties we might like to stay - something the first woman failed to pass along. BUT in order to actually book we needed to work with the original assigned agent. Magically, once we had spoken with another agent our original one was available (funny how that happens) and we did finally get our room booked. Well the weekend finally came for us to travel to the beach and upon arrival I remembered that we hadn't received our dining credit or sky wheel passes. Sure enough, called the second woman who answers her phone and she found that the gift card had never been sent to me as is was supposed to be. Then just when you think things are under control, we were checking out on a Sunday morning and were asked how we would be paying for the stay. OUR AGENT NEVER FINISHED THE PAYMENT AUTHORIZATION. The hotel had notes on the date the authorization was sent to the agent but the agent never completed the form and returned it to the hotel. What a literal nightmare. I would NEVER EVER recommend Mann Travels to a person. A vacation is supposed to be stress free and an agent is supposed to make sure of that. This was literally the opposite. Instead of enjoying a getaway that was supposed to be covered, we had additional expenses due to Mann Travels not holding their agents responsible to complete the process for their guests. I can't imagine actually paying for their services. Never again will I used Mann Travels - and I sure hope we can get reimbursed for our hotel stay which was supposed to have already been paid for upon arrival. Thanks again for the unnecessary stress Mann Travels.

After looking at some vacation packages/options I was a little overwhelmed. I decided I was going to head to Mann Travel and let them put the package together, book flight, etc.for me. I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and was greeted by two friendly employees. Bonnie was available so I talked with her about what we were looking for and asked for any additional suggestions, knowing the timing was only a month away. After discussing some options, weather, etc. I decided to focus on a cruise. Bonnie pulled up several lines, dates, prices, etc. She was very friendly and coordinated everything around the best dates and times for me. Not only did she book the cruise, but handled the flights and pier transportation vouchers. After leaving the office I was so happy with my experience, knowing it would never have been that easy for me to make sure everything all worked out together. A week after booking my trip I received a call from the Office Manager, to make sure my experience went well and answer any questions I had. That is true customer service. Now, my trip is two weeks away and I am looking forward to it. Fingers crossed everything goes as smooth as the booking process did.

My wife and I had a terrible experience with an agent in the Blakeney office. We are at a loss at to what this lady actually does on a day to day basis. She was zero help to us and in fact caused us more stress than if we hadn't actually worked with her given that she routinely gave us false information or told the two of us different things. This is the first time we have worked with a travel agent and are sorely disappointed with the entire process. We were so excited when we first hired her and she said she would be able to handle pretty much anything for us and would be like a "personal assistant." Not only did she not handle any of the reservations since I did that (again telling us hotels ran in the $300 range when simple research found exactly what we were looking for much less), when we needed her to help us get out of town for our trip due to the snowstorm she was again zero help by giving us advice that would have led to us missing our honeymoon. Not to mention that once we realized the right thing to do was drive that we had to rent our own car and book our on hotel on the way down. We are so glad we didn't listen to her! When we asked her about shore excursions on the trip she told my wife that they held spots for Haven guests which was absolutely not the case and led to us scrambling for things we wanted to do on our honeymoon, which was not how we wanted to spend our first hours on board the ship. Then to add insult to injury, we needed her help filing an insurance claim after the trip to reimburse us for the cost of driving to MIA (after our flight was canceled) and all she said was "here is your policy #". She offered no guidance or advice. At this point we were done. I couldn't let her stress me out anymore, so I filed the claim on my own. I did research this and it does look like the responsibility primarily falls on the traveler in regards to insurance claims, but I guarantee you if we were a wealthy couple with lots of money she would have bent over backwards to help us out. There is no way as it stands right now I could recommend their services to anyone.

Hello Matt, My name is Mark Fletcher and I am the Executive Vice President for Mann Travels and I oversee all 9 locations. 1st, I am very sorry to hear you are unhappy, after 36 years in Travel, obviously it our goal to exceed expectations and it seems we failed in this case. I have spoken to the agent in our Blakeney office and I have reviewed your file and all of the emails between you and my agent. Matt, to begin, I am very glad to see from your emails that you had a wonderful honeymoon, for that I am very happy. However, some times our best intentions fail to match as perfectly as we had hoped. adding to that the airport closing due to weather creating additional stress during what should be a very happy time. Not to make excuses, but particularly when storms happen, it seems we are between a rock and a hard place. We cant "officially" react until the flight cancels and often times when it does finally cancel it creates other challenges. Plus, we cant even rely of insurance to help prior to something happening, frustrating for sure. I am happy to see that you drove down and that you used one of the hotels that was suggested, although $300.00 is not inexpensive, my hopes are it more than met your needs. Please know that Mann Travels goal is to match each client with the right experience which includes the best property and or vacation. Finding a cheap hotel is easy, finding the right one is not always. I see that after your return in February you let her know there was some sort of mishap aboard the ship with the on board account, but I don't see where the info was sent in to her to research and I apologize if we didn't follow through. With regard to the Trip Insurance, I see where we could not submit the claim for you.... Matt, to be honest, I will take the blame for that. Our insurance carrier prefers us not to handle the initial claim request and for that reason, and with all of the privacy issues today, I have asked our staff to assist where they can but to not file the initial claim. Again I apologize, it is always our intention to be as helpful as we can, but in this case we are limited. Matt, I hope you accept my sincere apology and I would welcome the opportunity to talk to you further. Conveniently located on the corner of Park Road and Woodlawn, Mann Travel is a great sounding board if you want to book a vacation. The travel agents are helpful and take into consideration what you're looking for (rest, adventure, romance, etc) before making recommendations on places that they've been or heard good things about recently. I've used them for three vacations - two of which I knew where I wanted to stay and they found cheaper prices and one that was a bit of a bummer, truth-be-told. Let's focus on the one where they made the recommendation, as the others were just a straight price look-up (they did get us better prices, so that was a nice perk). My boyfriend and I decided to go on vacation around the holidays three years ago. We wanted an all-inclusive with great food and alcohol, no kids allowed, five star resort somewhere warm. We weren't particular on where that was, as long as we could sit on the beach with a bevvie and enjoy some sun and relaxation. Our agent very highly recommended Dreams Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. It looked gorgeous online so we decided to check it out. The resort was pretty, and our swim-up suite became a standard that we now want everywhere we vacation, but the beach was completely rocky (you couldn't even get into the water without cutting up your feet) and the bar had top shelf liquor, but not any that we really drink. The food and spa services were also very mediocre. All-in-all, I would use Mann Travel if you don't have any particular place in mind or want to ensure you're getting the best price. Do a little research online and with friends first so you have some idea of the type of place and price range, then go to Mann Travel for some peace of mind and final trip planning.

Completely disappointed with my experience with Mann Travels. Working with Susan I booked what i thought was going to be the perfect honeymoon. I booked in January and unfortunately the Zika virus made its way to St. Lucia in April and then was confirmed by the CDC to cause birth defects. After consulting with my fiances doctor we decided it was best to try and change our trip. Little did i know that while booking our trip through Mann Travels meant using another company called Travel Impressions. Now, each company wants a $50/person cancellation fee. All of this is after I made the final payment on April 26th and specifically asked about the Zika Virus. Then next thing i know, I didn't cancel before May 1st so I have to pay cancellation fees. Don't you think that would have been a good thing to bring up when i asked about what would happen if I had to cancel the trip because of the virus? All they did was reference an email sent in January alerting people of traveling to areas with the virus. But it did not mention a drop dead date to cancel and St. Lucia had yet to be affected. I have tried to work with them and change our trip so that I may avoid the $200 in cancellation fees but they now refuse to match a price i received from Costco Travel to Turks and Caicos, which is still Zika free. They originally agreed to price match but now that they are due cancellation fees they decide they can't price match anymore I also had a written statement from American Airlines stating that they would waive our change fees due to the Zika Virus but Mann Travels and Travel impressions insisted that we had to pay the $500 total change fee upfront and then maybe get credited back in 2-4 weeks. It seems a little ridiculous that they have been so hard to work with when it comes to peoples health. I was told multiple times that "the zika virus has been around for years" but they did not seem to grasp the the CDC just confirmed the link between Zika and birth defects ONE MONTH ago. They have not been customer service oriented at all and I would not recommend Mann Travels. They have caused nothing but trouble and extra stress as we try to put the final touches on our wedding.

Dr Hilary Cass says she is more upset and frustrated about the falsehoods being peddled about her research than the abuse directed at her, because it is "putting children at risk".

The paediatrician behind a landmark report into transgender treatment of children has criticised the "disinformation" about her findings as she revealed she avoids travelling on public transport over security fears.

Dr Hilary Cass has said the attacks on her study were "inaccurate" and "unforgivable" as it put young people "at risk".

The recently-published Cass Review found that there was "remarkably weak evidence" to support gender treatments for children.

The "toxicity of the debate" was also not helping, with people afraid of discussing transgender issues openly, she said.

The research was commissioned by NHS England four years ago after a steep rise in the numbers seeking help for gender issues.

Dr Cass told The Times newspaper: "I have been really frustrated by the criticisms, because it is straight disinformation. It is completely inaccurate.

"It started the day before the report came out when an influencer posted a picture of a list of papers that were apparently rejected because they were not randomised control trials.

"That list has absolutely nothing to do with either our report or any of the papers."

She added: "If you deliberately try to undermine a report that has looked at the evidence of children's healthcare, then that's unforgivable. You are putting children at risk by doing that."

She also hit out at Labour MP Dawn Butler, who questioned Health Secretary Victoria Atkins during a House of Commons debate on Monday about why "over 100 studies have not been in this Cass report".

Dr Cass expressed dismay at the Brent Central MP making assertions that were "completely wrong".

She said researchers had examined every research paper, but not all met the threshold standard for inclusion.

The total number of datasets deemed to be of high or medium-quality was 60 out of 103.

The Cass report made more than 32 recommendations, including that gender care operates "to the same standards" as other children's health services.

The review found the entire field of medicine aimed at enabling children to change gender had been "built on shaky foundations", with not enough evidence to support prescribing hormones to under-18s to pause puberty or to transition to the opposite sex.

Last month, NHS England confirmed children would no longer be prescribed puberty blockers outside of research trials.

It also emerged adult gender clinics had refused to take part in the review, which was described as "hugely disappointing" by Dr Cass.

'Vile emails'

Regarding the online abuse she has received, the physician said: "There are some pretty vile emails coming in at the moment.

"Most of which my team is protecting me from, so I'm not getting to see them."

She added: "What dismays me is just how childish the debate can become.

"If I don't agree with somebody then I'm called transphobic or a TERF [trans-exclusionary radical feminist]."

'Misinformation makes me seethe'

But asked if the vitriol had affected her, Dr Cass, the former president of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, said: "No... it's personal, but these people don't know me.

"I'm much, much more upset and frustrated about all this disinformation than I am about the abuse.

"The thing that makes me seethe is the misinformation."

She added: "I'm not going on public transport at the moment, following security advice, which is inconvenient."

NHS England has since announced a second Cass Review-style appraisal of adult gender clinics.

But Dr Cass confirmed to The Times she will not take part in that report.

She said: "You heard it right here - I am not going to do the adult gender clinic review."
