Pride Month at Sea

Each June, Celebrity Cruises ® hosts our annual Pride Party at Sea. Every ship takes part in the celebration that brings our crew and guests together to honor and celebrate Pride.

Same Sex Weddings

Celebrity Cruises ® is proud to offer legal same-sex marriages on board. The motion follows a transformative vote in Malta, where a majority of the Celebrity fleet is registered, which passed the country’s parliament 66-1. The long-awaited referendum opens the door for Celebrity to legally recognize same-sex marriages performed on board, and have the fleet’s captains officiate the ceremonies.

First Legal Same Sex Marriage at Sea

In a historic ceremony hosted on board Celebrity Equinox ℠ in January 2018, Francisco Vargas and Benjamin Gray became the first same-sex couple ever to be legally married at sea on a major cruise line.

LGBTQ+ Events Onboard

Our popular LGBTQ+ Welcome Parties are open to all guests fleetwide and take place on the first night of almost every cruise. This event is a great ice breaker and opportunity for people to meet. In addition to the Welcome Party, Celebrity also hosts various LGBTQ+ events and social hours onboard.

These LGBTQ-focused travel companies can help you plan the perfect cruise

Ashley Kosciolek

Travel is one of the best ways to experience the world and learn about cultures that are different from your own. But when you're traveling as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, it can be comforting to venture out with a group of like-minded people.

Thinking about a cruise? These LGBTQ-focused travel companies can help you plan the perfect voyage. They mainly specialize in partial- or full-ship charters, where a large number of cabins (if not all of them) is reserved for your group. Read on to see which one may be a good fit for you.

Note: Information was accurate at the time of publication. Sailings are subject to availability and may be changed or canceled without notice. New voyages also may be added without notice. Check each agency's website for the most up-to-date information.

Atlantis Events

Established in 1991, Atlantis specializes in LGBTQ travel but mostly caters to the gay male community. Although it does offer chartered experiences at a handful of land-based resorts, most of its events are cruise ship charters.

The agency books trips for more than 25,000 travelers each year, nearly half of whom are solo travelers . In addition to raucous parties and handpicked entertainment, Atlantis provides luxury, camaraderie and adventure in some of the world's most beautiful locations.

These trips are ideal for gay travelers looking to mingle and party, as well as couples who want to get away with others in the gay community.

Currently, there are five sailings scheduled between July 2022 and February 2023: a summer Mediterranean cruise with Virgin Voyages ' new Valiant Lady; an Oceania Marina cruise from Stockholm to Copenhagen; and three Royal Caribbean sailings to the Mediterranean, Mexico and the southern Caribbean on Odyssey of the Seas, Navigator of the Seas and Harmony of the Seas, respectively.

Brand g Vacations

A premier operator of luxury river cruises and land tours, Brand g has been around for more than a decade. It currently has 17 sailings scheduled for 2022 and 2023, some of which are already sold out. Lines include Amadeus River Cruises and Uniworld River Cruises, among others. Available options take passengers along the Rhine, Danube, Mekong, Moselle, Ganges and more.

Because the company specializes in river cruises with a few exceptions, you'll travel with between 40 and 200 passengers in an intimate full-charter setting that caters to the LGBTQIA+ community and its straight allies.

Brand g packages include upscale amenities such as luxury small-group airport transfers and pre-cruise hotel stays and tours. The company also includes alcohol and shore excursions in its fares.

Dreams Unlimited Travel

mediterranean gay cruise 2022

Dreams Unlimited Travel is a gay-owned and -operated travel agency that specializes in Disney vacations -- Disney World, Disneyland, Adventures by Disney and, of course, Disney cruises -- for all travelers, not just those in the LGBT+ community.

In business for more than two decades, it sells a range of Disney Cruise Line voyages, as well as sailings from Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Line and Celebrity Cruises.

Although they don't necessarily offer chartered cruises, the staff are equipped to assist LGBT+ travelers in finding the perfect trips for them. It also means that a wider selection of voyages is available because they aren't limited to just charters or group sailings, with booking dates available well into 2023.

Netherlands -based GaySail organizes small-group, gay charter voyages aboard sailing yachts. Each boat carries between 10 and 16 passengers, with one to three vessels sailing together for a group of anywhere from 10 to 30 men. GaySail's nude cruise arm, GayNudeSail, offers similar sailings with a clothing-optional atmosphere.

Destination options for group sailings, which are currently on the books through April 2023, include Greece , Croatia, Montenegro, the Seychelles, the Caribbean and Tahiti. Passengers can also opt for a private charter in other areas of the world. All cruises, whether group or private, include the services of a skipper and cook, as well as breakfast and lunch, with dinner organized in port and paid for via a group fund called a "kitty."

The voyages are for gay men only, with a passenger makeup of about 30%-40% couples and 60%-70% singles. Guests come from all across the globe, but the official language spoken on board is English. Ages generally range from about 30 to 50, but the cruises see men from all stages of life, as long as they're fit enough to sail. (Sailing experience is not required. Passengers can choose to learn from the crew or simply relax and enjoy the trip.)

The main difference in atmosphere between a GaySail cruise and a gay cruise on a large cruise ship is that the former has more of a laid-back vibe — which means no raucous parties, all-day entertainment or daily housekeeping services.

mediterranean gay cruise 2022

Olivia Travel

Originally founded as Olivia Records with the aim of helping women launch their own music careers, Olivia Travel has planned trips for more than 350,000 lesbians and other LGBTQ women since it switched its focus four decades ago.

Specializing in women-only travel for members of the LGBTQ community, Olivia offers full-charter vacations, many of them cruises. Because of its musical roots, Olivia has called on big-name talent, such as the Indigo Girls and Cris Williamson, to perform on some of its sailings.

In addition to ocean cruises, the company also offers river sailings (though none are currently available). So far, Olivia has seven cruises scheduled into March 2023, including the Caribbean, Iceland , Tahiti and the Panama Canal. The voyages will see travelers on the likes of Holland America 's Nieuw Statendam, Azamara Quest and Windstar 's luxury Wind Spirit and Star Pride.

Out Adventures

This Canada -based company focuses on gay travel for smaller groups, offering a more upscale and intimate experience. Travelers can either join existing land-based tours of no more than 16 people or they can plan their own tour, with the agency tailoring the experience to client preferences.

Cruises sponsored by Out Adventures max out at 40 people, ensuring cruisers feel like more than just a number. This can also present a chance for singles to meet others in a more tight-knit setting. The company's average vacationer is 40 to 55 years old, making these trips ideal for anyone who's no longer in the "party phase."

Additionally, Out Adventures' trips focus on boutique experiences in port while striving to give back to global LGBTQ communities — $50 from each passenger's booking is donated to Rainbow Railroad — while helping to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable time with regard to local customs and attitudes.

Although the agency's 2022 cruises have already sold out, there's still limited space on 2023 departures to Tahiti (waitlist only), Greece (waitlist only) and France (limited space) on Variety Cruises' Panorama II, Variety Cruises' Galileo and CroisiEurope's Barge Deborah, respectively.

Pied Piper Travel

In business for more than 30 years, Pied Piper Travel offers gay and lesbian group sailings on several cruises each year. At press time, the company had more than two dozen voyages scheduled on Azamara, Cunard Line and Celebrity ships between June 2022 and March 2023. The cruises visit destinations like Alaska , the Holy Land, the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, the Panama Canal and Australia and New Zealand . There are also several repositioning cruises listed.

Passengers tend to be mostly gay men of all ages, but lesbians and non-gay or -lesbian friends and family members are also welcome to join.

Although it isn't possible to know how big your group will be ahead of time, past trips have hosted between 15 and 900 passengers. As long as a group minimum of 10 people is met, Pied Piper will assign an onboard host to lead group gatherings, shore excursions and more.

R Family Vacations

Founded in 2003 by Gregg Kaminksy and Kelli Carpenter (ex-partner of Rosie O'Donnell, who was previously affiliated with the brand), R Family Vacations is unique in the LGBTQ travel space in that its specialty is vacations for families with children.

Since O'Donnell and Carpenter parted ways in 2007, the agency has expanded a bit, venturing into the realm of adults-only LGBTQ travel and personal travel.

However, a large part of its customer base still relies on the R Family name for family-friendly cruise bookings. They are not full charters, but the company's upcoming sailings are limited. Only one — a family cruise to Alaska on Celebrity Solstice — remains for 2022. For next year, two voyages are currently available for booking: a family cruise on Royal Caribbean's Wonder of the Seas (the largest ship in the world) and an adults-only trip to Bordeaux, France, on luxury line Uniworld's S.S. Bon Voyage.

RSVP Vacations

Offering gay and lesbian travel since 1985, RSVP Vacations charters entire ships for its cruises. The charters tend to be on some of the newest and largest vessels afloat, promising lots of ways for travelers to have fun on board.

In terms of entertainment, the RSVP team schedules themed parties, where costumes are highly encouraged; showcases the latest films, both gay and mainstream; and highlights performances by gay-positive singers, dancers and comedians.

Although it was acquired by Atlantis Events in 2007, RSVP — which has helped more than 100,000 members of the LGBTQ community travel together — does not offer land-based trips. Like Atlantis, RSVP caters to travel for gay men, but its clientele is about 10% lesbian on each sailing.

RSVP does not currently have any sailings on offer, but 2023 voyages should be released soon.

Saltyboys Sailing Cruises

Like GaySail, Saltyboys is a Netherlands-based travel company that specializes in small-group, gay-men-only cruises on sailing ships. The main difference is that while GaySail offers cruises for passengers who don't feel comfortable going au naturel, all of Saltyboys' voyages are designated as either clothing optional or nudist .

Each vessel carries about 10 passengers in addition to the crew, and boats might sail in a flotilla of more than one vessel, meaning your group could join up with others while in port. All voyages include the services of a skipper and crew. Although no sailing experience is required, if you don't wish to learn how to help with anchoring or do your own grocery shopping or cooking, Saltyboys also offers luxury sailings where your fare includes a cook, so everything will be handled for you.

Destinations for voyages through November 2022 include Greece, Turkey, Croatia, Belize, Thailand , Italy and Australia's Whitsunday Islands.

Generally, the Saltyboys clientele ranges in age from 20 to 50 years old, but there are always exceptions.

Source Journeys

For two decades, Source Events has offered all-gay luxury travel that balances adventure with class, catering equally to singles and couples in groups ranging from 15 to 300 people. The company also donates a portion of all proceeds to LGBTQ charities.

Besides land vacations and individually customized trips, Source promotes full charters of small, intimate cruise ships from lines like Windstar and Atlas Ocean Voyages . You won't find wild parties or scandalous shenanigans, but you will enjoy an upscale experience that's perfect for meeting other gay travelers with discerning tastes.

Source also runs partial gay charters aboard larger ships (think: vessels from Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Line), but those are generally specific Pride sailings that are shorter in duration and less exotic in destination. Most of what the company touts are voyages to places like the Black Sea, the Dalmatian Coast, Tahiti, the Greek Isles and Antarctica .

Currently, Source has just three sailings scheduled, all with limited availability. Travelers interested in a summer trip in 2022 can choose from a Greek Isles and Turkey sailing on Ponant 's Le Jacques Cartier in August or a visit to Italy and the Amalfi Coast in September aboard masted sailing ship Star Clipper. In 2023, the only sailing scheduled so far is a Rhine river cruise from Basel, Switzerland, to Amsterdam on Avalon Panorama.

Toto Tours is the oldest LGBTQ-focused travel company that has had the same management throughout its tenure. Opened in 1990, the agency helps gays, lesbians, and their friends and family members travel in comfort and safety.

Most of Toto's business comes from land-based trips and tours, including customized ones, but it does occasionally add cruises to its repertoire.

The agency's land-based trips have resumed for the second half of 2022. However, no cruises are listed for 2022 or 2023 so far.

Vacaya prides itself on serving the entire LGBTQIA+ community and its allies rather than focusing heavily on just gay men. The company provides fully chartered access to all-inclusive, land-based resorts, but where it really shines is with its cruises.

Often offering both river and ocean cruise options, this travel agency mixes fun with adventure and learning on ships both large and small, allowing you to find a sailing that meets your preferences. It can also help to match you with a roommate to offset costs if you're traveling alone.

Although Vacaya is a fledgling company, having launched in 2019 with its first season of travel offerings, it has weathered the pandemic. All of its remaining 2022 sailings are sold out, as is a 2023 voyage from Jordan to Greece, but there are five cruises in 2023 that still have availability. They range from the Caribbean with Celebrity to Central America , the Norwegian fjords, Italy and Tahiti with Ponant.

  • Price : Cruise prices depend on where you fly from (like if you live on the east coast and fly from an east coast USA cruise port , or live in the United States and need to fly to Europe for a European cruise), where you are sailing to, and the type of room you'll have. • Size of the vessel: Ships like Atlantis fit at least 5,000 people or Pride of America, while a ship like Celebrity Apex accommodates under 3,000 people.
  • Vibe and atmosphere : When choosing amongst friendly gay cruises options, it is essential to consider the type of atmosphere that you want. Each ship has its unique personality, so select one that best suits your needs. For instance, Atlantis would be the best option if you enjoy circuit parties. If you're looking for a much calmer experience, you can choose a ship like Pride of America with Norwegian Cruise Line.

By choosing a gay and lesbian cruise ship, you can be sure that you will have an enjoyable and hassle-free vacation. These ships offer everything you need to relax and have fun, so book your trip today!

Some of the top gay-friendly cruises travel coordination companies include Atlantis Events, Olivia Cruises, and RSVP Vacations. All three companies offer cruises to destinations worldwide, including the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia. They each have their unique style and atmosphere, so it is essential to research before deciding.

No matter which cruise line you choose, you can be sure that you will experience a relaxing and fun-filled holiday. The ships are packed with activities, and the destinations are some of the most beautiful in the world. So, if you're looking for a vacation that caters to your specific needs, be sure to check out the many gay-friendly cruise options available today.

Popular Cruise Ships and Cruise Companies that Cater to a Gay Audience

C elebrity cruises.

This cruise line caters to the LGBT community and offers a wide range of facilities and activities that cater to their needs.

There are several restaurants, bars, and nightclubs onboard and a spa and fitness center. The Equality Ship hosts several special events and occasions throughout the year.

Celebrity Cruises was the first ship to host same-sex marriage. The vessel is also known for its annual Pride party, which will bring together LGBTQ persons of all generations, including old and young.

Based on reviews, Celebrity Cruises is a memorable experience that has fantastic exclusive amenities and ship areas as part of The Retreat , their ship-within-a-ship cruise concept. It has received different awards, including Best Onboard LGBTQ Gatherings and Best Cruise Line for LGBTQ+ Passengers.

Brand g Vacation with Atlas Ocean Voyages

Brand g Vacations has partnered with Atlas Ocean Voyages for the second year in a row. In August 2023, they teamed up to organize a gay cruise on World Navigator. From August 14 to 23, 2024, the cruise line's new ship, World Traveller, will host a gay cruise from Venice to Malta.

The luxury ship fit for upscale adventure is a fantastic way to cruise the Mediterranean with your peers and new friends.

Atlantis ship is the world's largest gay and lesbian cruise ship; the ship fits around 5,000 people.

There are multiple pools, bars, a casino, a spa, and various dining options. The ship also hosts several special events and circuit parties, including the White Party and Disco Tea Dance, explicitly geared towards the gay and lesbian community. Some of the most popular events are the White Party, in which partygoers dress up with angel wings and white jocks, and Dog Tag T-Dance, in which men dress in camouflage.

One thing to keep in mind is that Atlantis is not kid-friendly. There is a lot of sexual activity that happens on Atlantis. You would find guys “getting it on” out in public by the pool and on the dock. There are even videos of Twitter showing these activities. If you're conservative and want a calm vacation experience, Atlantis may not be the right cruise for you. But if you enjoy the circuit party scene and don't mind seeing men hooking up in public, Atlantis could be a good vacation option.

The price of Atlantis starts at about $900. Atlantis may not be your choice if you don't like big crowds. As mentioned earlier, the ship gets full. Parties happen all day long, so if you enjoy partying non-stop, you will enjoy Atlantis. Tickets sell out early, so make your purchase way in advance if you decide to go.

Vacay is a cruise ship built exclusively for the LGBTQ community. There is plenty of LGBTQ programming and entertainment on the boat, like drag performances and circuit parties. Once they get off the ship passengers, they can visit gay-friendly locations like Puerto Vallarta (considered the “San Francisco of Mexico”) and Costa Rica.

Vacay is an adult-only ship so that you can have fun without any inhibitions. The ship encourages an amicable atmosphere, as noted on its website. There are plenty of single men who go on Vacay so you can mix and mingle with them. There is even an online Vacaya Facebook community where singles can look for roommates.

If you're a gay traveler, consider going on Vacaya. Based on trip reviews by LGBTQ travelers, Vacay is one of the most welcoming environments for the LGBTQ community. The price can go anywhere from $900 up to $14,000.

RSVP Vacations' Liberty of the Seas

His ship is also quite large, and it offers a similar range of amenities as the Allure of the Seas. It is popular among gay and lesbian cruisers for its lively atmosphere and a plethora of activities. RSVP has been around since 1986 and travels to many different destinations, including the Caribbean and Alaska.

The Cruise is a large ship that is based in Europe. It fits about 3,600 passengers.

There are impressive parts of the ship, like a glass floor walkway that lets you see the ocean, a pool with colored lights, and gyms that give you a sea view. If you're based in the US and want to travel overseas, consider going on The Cruise.

For the past two years, it has sailed the Ionean Sea during July. As a European traveler, you only need a photo ID, but if you're traveling from the US, you need to travel with a passport .

Norwegian Cruise Line's Pride of America

This American-themed ship is one of the most popular choices for gay and lesbian cruises. It offers multiple pools, a spa, restaurants, and many other activities.

What Should You Budget for Gay Cruise?

Cruises can be fun vacation options but can be pricey. Here are a few things to consider:

  • Airfare: The cost of a roundtrip flight depends on where you are flying from and when you book your trip. For example, if you're flying from NYC to Port Miami , in Florida, you can pay anywhere from $120-$320 roundtrip. But if you're flying cross country, you will be spending a lot more on your flight. A suggestion is to use a site like Orbitz or Priceline rather than airline websites so you can get better discounts.
  • Island excursions : There are many activities and things to do on a ship. Once a cruise ship lands on an island or at its destination, you have other things to do like scuba diving, snorkeling , or jet skiing. Excursions can cost as much as $40 to $300 per person per day. Travelers should sign up for an excursion because they'll have the opportunity to explore different cultures and groups of people. Years ago, I sailed on Carnival and one of the stops was in the Bahamas. I was initially scared to scuba dive, but I overcame my fear and did it. I enjoyed myself and met some very friendly locales.
  • Drinks : Drink spending can quickly add up. If you want to be sure of the price of your drinks consumption (alcohol or alcohol-free) sign up for a drinks package before or at the start of your cruise. The price for a non-alcoholic beverage can range from $2 to $8 or more, depending on the drink. Beer can be about $8, wine $10 and up, and cocktails $11 or more. If you haven't paid for a drinks package and you want to be mindful of your spending on beverages, simply go into your cruise app to see your current charges if you're on an ocean cruise, or ask the front desk or guest services to see your current bill if you're on a river cruise. In some instances, like with an Emerald Cruises trip, you can view your current bill on your stateroom television at any time.
  • Gratuities: It's classy leave to leave a tip for housekeeping or your stateroom attendant. You can either leave a 15%-18% tip for room staff every day or in one lump sum at the end of your trip. Often, gratuities are included in your cruise bookings (but not always).

How to Pack for Your Cruise

There are all sorts of activities and events on a gay cruise. You can go to the pool, gym, spa, bar, and many other parts of a cruise ship. And so, you have the opportunity to dress up or dress down.

You can pack blazers, collared shirts, and shoes for formal dinners on the ship. For dress-down occasions, it's recommended to bring jeans, t-shirts, and accessories. Also, bring swimsuits if you want to go in the pools or hot tubs onboard or during excursions, depending on the itinerary.

What Not to Do on Gay Cruises

There are strict rules and guidelines on a cruise ship that people must follow. If you disobey them, you can get kicked off the boat. To avoid problems, here are things to consider:

  • Don't bring any drugs. This may sound like common sense, but it happens more than you think. Drug use I commonly used for recreational purposes at circuit parties which occurs on many gat cruises. If you use marijuana for medicinal purposes, contact your cruise line beforehand and see their guidelines on drug possession.
  • Watch your alcohol intake. Studies show that people drink alcohol to lower their inhibitions. The problem is that alcohol impairs your judgment and can make you do things that will you or another person. For this reason, it's advised to drink in moderation.
  • Keep your hands to yourself. Be mindful of how you approach and interact with others. Don't let alcohol or anything else incite you to pursue someone that doesn't show any interest in you. I've seen so many incidents in social gatherings where a person tough another permission without permission. Don't be that person.

Why Choose Gay Cruises?

There are still places where homosexuality is not acceptable in these changing times. In countries like Jamaica, Egypt, and Iraq, it's illegal to be gay. People are still being harassed and even killed for being gay. Gay cruises allow you to be in a safe space where you can laugh, dance and connect with other LGBTQ+ persons.

You'll be able to experience gay-friendly locations overseas that you may not have the opportunity to do on a regular cruise.

So get your best costumes and outfits and plan to have an unforgettable sea travel experience.

Ready to Book Your Cruise or INquire?

Use our preferred travel advisors, bolds travel, because….

  • They take away the hassle of travel planning : time spent on the phone with the cruise line could be time you spend doing other things.
  • You don't pay them a dime : their service is free (this is because they get paid by the cruise line or destination).
  • Their experience: They have decades of experience and attention to detail.

Spartacus gay cruise returns in 2023 with seven day mediterranean trip

In partnership with spartacus cruises..

By Alastair James

mediterranean gay cruise 2022

Pictures: Supplied

Despite having some of the warmest UK temperatures on record recently, we know it’s not going to last forever. Soon enough we’ll be back to our winter sweaters longing for a glimpse of summer sun and that boost of Vitamin D.

Returning for the third year, Spartacus Cruise will be setting sail around the western Mediterranean in May 2023 (13-20) visiting Marseille, Elba, Rome, Livorno, Nice, and Corsica.

mediterranean gay cruise 2022

At each stop, there will be so much to see and do. Starting in France’s second-largest city, Marseille, a veritable melting pot of people and cultures includes walking tours, local delicacies, and ancient landmarks such as the Romanesque-Byzantine basilica, the Notre Dame de la Garde, which come with breathtaking views.

The next stop is the capital of Elba island, Portoferraio. The city’s fortifications are iconic and the nearby beaches are simply paradise.

mediterranean gay cruise 2022

It goes without saying that Rome has some incredible offerings. Whether that’s a walking tour of truly iconic sites such as the Trevi Fountain or the Pantheon and the Colosseum, or Vatican City you’ll never be short of things to do. After all, when in Rome!

The port city of Livorno in the north of Italy isn’t far from historic Pisa and its world-famous leaning tower. Florence is also not too far to visit with its medieval-like metropolis and sites such as Brunelleschi’s unique cathedral with its neighboring bell tower by Giotto.

mediterranean gay cruise 2022

A cabin with a balcony

Villefranche-sur-Mer in the enchanting Côte d’Azur is part of a glittering chain of French towns also including Cannes, Nice, St. Tropez, and Monaco. These can be explored on a panoramic tour of the French Riviera.

Finally, Corsica offers a mixture of elegant coastal towns, dense forests, and rugged peaks. The port city of Calvi is a tranquil town and the harbor promenade, with its cafés and restaurants invites you to observe, stroll and relax.

mediterranean gay cruise 2022

And you’ll be traveling in style onboard the Vasco da Gama. Boasting 630 cabins and suites ranging in size, this ship can accommodate nearly 1,300 passengers across nine decks. Of the cabins, the vast majority are out-ward facing and 150 come with balconies to really enjoy the experience of being at sea.

On board, you’ll find the fully equipped 24-hour gym and the spa with its dry and steam saunas are included in the trip price. You can even find the jogging trail on deck.

mediterranean gay cruise 2022

The Oasis pool

Two pools will keep you cool. One is prominently located at the stern of the ship with ample lounging areas. The other is mid-ship and features a movable roof.

The Vasco da Gama plays in the upper league with three à la carte restaurants to choose from. The Asian-oriented ‘Eurasia’, the ‘Pantry’ buffet restaurant reminiscent of a food court combining different cuisines, a garden bar with salads, as well as a candy store for desserts, and a meat grill.

This conceptual approach also extends to the numerous bars and culminates in ‘The Dome,”‘ an all-around glass viewing lounge.

mediterranean gay cruise 2022

The Grill restaurant

And a cruise like this doesn’t skip on the entertainment. Numerous LGBTQ artists will quite literally be on board with numerous poolside-themed parties such as ‘White’, ‘Wig’, or ‘Kinky’, where there are no limits when it comes to outfits.

Expect to find acrobatics, vocal performances, drag shows, and much, much more! And the ever-popular ‘Mr. Cruise’ contest will be running and all guests are welcome.

Prices currently start from 989 Euros. Here’s what’s included in your booking:

Welcome to Tahiti, which sits within a cruising ground of five groups of islands bursting with exciting marine life, emerald volcanic peaks and vivid exotic flowers. Tahiti is in the Society Islands, made up of the Windward and the Leeward Islands. This area boasts some of the most famous, spectacular landscapes in the world, including the idyllic Bora Bora for romantics, as well as Raiatea, Tupai, Maupiti and Moorea. We offer a great one week luxury GaySail Exclusive Catamaran cruise and a one week GayNudeSail Exclusive cruise.

GaySail Exclusive: November 16-23 2024

GayNudeSail Exclusive: November 23-30 2024 .

See our Tahiti trailer , which gives a good impression of this cruise.

We offer a great one week luxury GaySail Exclusive or GayNudeSail Exclusive Catamaran cruise. We sail along the beautiful Tahiti Islands on a luxury 52 feet catamaran which gives room to 14 people. This GaySail Exclusive cruise is including the service of a gay skipper, gay cook/co-skipper, breakfast, lunch, soft drinks, harbor fees, gasoline, cleaning and taxes. Not included: alcoholic drinks, dinners, optional excursions and national park fees. The catamaran has two 30% cheaper  small single crew cabins in the front, see layout at the bottom of this page , right picture, only reachable from the deck. The catamaran have only one cabin with bunk bed, so if the catamaran is fully booked you might have to share a cabin with double bed as a single (unless you book a private cabin and pay for two), but you can always inform first if there are single bunk beds or crew cabins left. For pictures and layout see link . The layout picture is the one on the left.

Sail around the ancient volcanic remains and atolls while spotting turtles, dolphins, unspoiled coral and shoals of colorful fish. There is so much to experience, such as swimming with sharks and manta rays, diving, hiking and even jeep safaris of volcanic rock faces. Fans of fine dining will enjoy the very best French cuisine with a Polynesian influence, supported by a palette from paradise. You’ll be hosted by wonderful local people warmly sharing their culture with you.

A Tahiti (nude or clothes optional) gay sailing vacation offers balmy easterly trade winds averaging between 15 and 20 knots throughout the year, virtually guaranteeing a relaxing gay sail every day in the calm waters behind the reefs and spirited sailing on open-water passages. The beauty and unique character of these exotic waters lures less experienced and veteran sailors alike to return time after time for more adventures. Year-round temperatures range from 78°F to 80°F .

Although Bora-Bora, Raiatea, Tahaa, and Huahine are neighbors, each island has a slightly different ambience. Of course, the South Pacific beauty is a common trait. The exquisite reefs, motus, and beaches are too. But on one island the emphasis may be more on catering to the chic, while on another Nature is supreme. On still another the handiwork of local artists or the quiet reverence at a stone temple dating back to the earliest times of Polynesian travelers is in evidence. Together, the four treasures of the Tahitian Leewards are an enchanting cruising ground for a memorable Tahiti gay sailing vacation.

Best of Moscow by high speed train

Sure would appreciate someone who has taken "Best of Moscow by high speed train" from St. Petersburg could please share their impressions of this shore excursion. From the description this sounds like a very long day.

Wondering how the 4 hour train trip was in terms of accommodations, etc. Also what time did you leave the ship and what time at night did you return? Were both legs of the trip on the high speed rail (I read that slower trains also travel the same tracks)?

My wife and I are considering this excursion. We thought that if we are making all the effort to go to Russia then how could we pass up going to Moscow, walking in Red Square, seeing St. Basil, etc.

If you are considering this on the 2015 June Baltic cruise on Voyager; my suggestion is don't. There is so much to do in St. Petersburg and although a train is one of my favorite ways to travel the time would be far better spent in St. P.

Thanks for the advice. Yes, this would be on the Voyager during the 2015 season but not yet sure exactly which cruise.

We did the Moscow excursion "on a different luxury line", but from your brief description it sounds very much like the same trip, so I will operate on that assumption. It is a VERY long day! We left the ship at 5:30 AM and returned at 12:30 AM. The highspeed train trip is comfortable, and while they call it "Business Class" it does not compare well to the equivalent class on say Rail Europe. When we did it in 2011, we did have highspeed both ways, and the trip back seemed much longer as the adrenaline and excitement had worn off!:D

Moscow itself is not that terribly different from any other big city in the world, but this Cold War kid never thought he would ever stand in Red Square, never mind walk the grounds of The Kremlin, or tour The Kremlin Palace, or see (but not visit) Lenin's Tomb, or visit The Armoury. But he did, and he loved every minute of it! Yes, it is a long day, and you barely scratch a scratch on the surface, but it is worth it. There is a tremendous amount to see in St. Petersburg, but every Baltic cruise goes to St. Petersburg, so you can go back if you choose to. Not every cruiseline offers you the chance to see Moscow.

I have not personally done this tour, but our last time in St Petersburg, the private guide that we hired for a day was leading the regent tour to Moscow on the high speed train the next day. He said it was way better than the previous alternative, which was flying to Moscow and back. He said that you actually got to Moscow faster because you didn't have to deal with airline checkin etc. it did seem like a very long day to me, and there is so much to see and do in st. Petersburg that I didn't consider doing it.

We toured to Moscow from St. Petersburg via the hi-speed SAPSAN train last September, from a Baltic cruise on the Oceania Marina. You need to have a two-night, three day port call in St. Petersburg to take this tour because the tour typically leaves the ship around 5:00 - 5:30 AM and doesn't return until after midnight the next day. We didn't take the ship's tour; we made private arrangements with TravelAllRussia for three days of touring, the first and third days in St. Petersburg and the second day the tour to Moscow by train. Our cost for the private tour for three days was about the same as what the ship charged for the excursion to Moscow alone. There are a number of private tour agencies that operate in St. Petersburg and offer the Moscow train tours; we would strongly recommend them over the ship's tours.

All three days had private guides with car and driver. The second day, the driver picked us up at the ship and took us to the train, but we were alone on the train, and met in Moscow by the guide on the station platform. After our tour and dinner, we were brought back to the train and after the return train trip met by the driver and taken back to the ship. Because you are alone on the train you must have your own Russian visas.

If this is your first visit to St. Petersburg, I would agree there is much more to see there. We found Moscow somewhat a disappointment, particularly Red Square. The Kremlin and the cathedral in Red Square were also worth seeing. But the best thing we saw was the Moscow subway! I worked for the Washington Metro system back in the 1980s as it grew from 40 to 80 miles and although I was in the computer area, I learned a lot about the challenges of running a subway system. We used the Moscow system to get across the city from where we had dinner to the train station, and I was amazed at the cleanliness', speed of operation, the short headways maintained, and the courtesy of everyone involved. A very impressive experience!

We had been to St. Petersburg before, and so had the time to take a day and go to Moscow. Also, I really like trains, and the SAPSAN is a German train set running on Russian rails. Seats are like first class domestic air, spacious but not too plush or comfortable, but with enough room. Not too much recline, and almost 8 hours on the train in two shots is a lot for an old man. They come through and sell drinks, candy, etc. but the sellers don't speak English and no one around us helped, so we had just poor coffee once coming, and brought stuff with us for the trip back. Not too much to see from the train either, particularly on the return when it is night the whole way.

If you decide to go, take a private tour and avoid the overly expensive ship's tour. I'm glad we did it, but wouldn't bother to repeat the tour; we've seen Moscow.

Thanks so much to all of you for the thorough and thought insight. Yhe information you have provided is most helpful.

countflorida: Your detailed post is very helpful. We are not quite ready for a Baltic cruise but should do so within a year. Time enough to do our pre travel research, bookings and visa gathering.:) Thank you!

I did this on Seabourn. IMO DONT. Take Aeroflop (er Aeroflot). The train has non folding seats where you are literally knee to knee with your fellow passenger (facing each other). Further they don't believe in air conditioning. It's also the worlds slowed bullet train. I think I would have found more enjoyment wandering around the St. Petersburg and Moscow airports.

Countflorida,

This is a little off topic,, however we had planned a river cruise in Russia but decided we would rather stay on land and have booked about two weeks with Travel-All-Russia using the private guide and driver. I'm curious as to how you found them as a tour company.

The guides they provided were fine. We had a different guide each of the days in St. Petersburg, but both were flexible, pleasant, knowledgeable and spoke English very well, as did the guide in Moscow, incidentally. She was a bit aloof, distant, not too friendly, but otherwise fine. In fact, she was the one who suggested taking the Metro, which unexpectedly became one of the highlights of the Moscow excursion. If I have a complaint with AllTravelRussia, it is with their plan and its execution (more later).

I had requested emphasis on World War II (in Russia, the Great Patriotic War) sites and info. In scheduling us, they weren't careful about dates and a couple of the sites we wanted to see were scheduled on the third day, after we'd been to Moscow. But both sites were closed that day of the week, and that info was readily available, right on web sites describing them. Also, the included meals (lunches in St. Pete, dinner in Moscow) were not what we asked for: light meals with some choices, so we could avoid things we didn't like and choose things we did like. My request was ignored; we were given full Russian meals with a fixed menu, no choice. On the first day, a fish dish was the entre, but I am allergic to fish. Fortunately, I had the e-mail I'd sent with me and showed it to the guide, and she was able to change my entre to chicken, which was very good actually. But we didn't want a 3-4 course lunches or dinner (in Moscow). We had the guide drop the lunch the third day, although we never got any credit or refund. But, particularly in contrast to the ship's tours, the prices were so reasonable we didn't worry too much about it.

The people who were on the ship's tour to Moscow saw us boarding the same train for which they were forced to queue up and wait on the way back, and asked us what we had done. I was candid and open so they were not happy when I explained what we had arranged and particularly what it had cost. Also, when we returned to the ship, we found they had laid on a late supper for those who had gone to Moscow, so up we went and had something. Well, it turns out the late supper was supposed to be just for those on the ship's tour, but we and others on 'independent' tours, there were a dozen or more of us, crashed the party, actually got there first, and they didn't realize it until the larger group arrived and there weren't enough tables/places set. By that time, the 'independents' had all gotten served and were eating; what could they do?

A couple from the larger group sat down with us and asked us about our tour, and they were the ones I told about our arrangement and its cost. They turned to others who’d been with them and announced the details, loudly enough so the whole room heard, which started a lot of bitching and complaining. I gathered they weren't very happy with the ship's tour to begin with, and this was the straw that broke the camel's back. We finished up and beat it out of there, but overheard later that one of the excursion staff came to check on something and ran into a real mess. I caught a cold on the trip, which forced me to bed the second day following in Tallinn, so by the time we reappeared we heard about the contretemps' but apparently no one recalled who started it, thankfully.

Because of what happened to us, I would probably not use AllTravelRussia if I were to go again, or if I did, I would be sure to get confirmation of every detail of the tour. They do have good reviews generally, and we were certainly helped by their visa department and liked the guides and drivers. Their weakness, I say now with full 20:20 hindsight, is that once the sales person who plans the tour, sells it to you and collects your money, he (or she) transfers the plan to their Russia office for implementation; there is no follow-up to make sure it gets done right. And that is where our problems arose; we paid for a custom tour but got a standard package with a few destinations switched, and no one checked them out, even to see when they were open the day we were scheduled to go. If you check every detail that’s important to you, it should be OK, but that’s a hell of a way to have to do business, in my opinion.

Thank you for the 20/20 hindsight observation on your Russian tour operator, and better priced than the ship's excursion cost.

Thanks very much for the feedback.

We had the same experience as you so far as price. We originally booked a Viking Cruise but, hearing some things about the river cruises that made us unhappy, looked into other options. T-A-R cost the same or less than a cruise and had us in hotels for 11 days. We opted for the private tour. They have three tour levels, based on hotels. We originally opted for the four star as it did not cost much more than the three star hotels. Finally we decided to throw it all in and upgraded to five star. In Moscow we will be at the newly opened Kempinsky which is two blocks from Red Square. In St. Petersburg it is the Grand Hotel Europe, one of the most vaunted luxury hotels in Russia. Location is important for us as the tours use up only part of the day so being in the center of everything for our independent touring is important. As with many other cities, the less you pay, the farther out of the center of town you are.

We have been working with our salesman in D.C. and he seems to get back to us with the changes we want. He recently returned from Russia so is up on everything. When I asked they said they paid the full TA commission if I wanted so I got my usual TA on board so he is watching our back and giving us that extra level of comfort. He also set up our air, which I know pays him little or nothing, and got us business class for much less than T-A-R wanted for economy, though it took working for a while with a consolidator. He's happy to get his 10 percent on this trip without having booked it. He also took care of the trip insurance. We've been doing a lot of research on the CC sister site Trip Advisor and will write a report there. We will, I guess, become a source of info for CC members after having spent 5 days in Moscow and 6 in SP.
