Summer

Four Seasons

By the beginning of summer, kazakhstan is changing - the nature finally blossoms and pleases the inhabitants with long sunny days. summer is probably the favorite season of the people of kazakhstan, who honor folk traditions and holidays. it is in summer that the season of kazakh weddings (toy) reaches its climax. since the beginning of june, a huge number of weddings have been taking place in kazakhstan, turning summer into an ongoing holiday..

Autumn

Autumn is a time of picturesque photo shoots in orange-red tones. Even without leaving the city, going to the nearest park, you will be delighted with the bright colors of birches, rowans, oaks and other deciduous trees. And in mountainous areas, for example, Almaty, East Kazakhstan regions, sunset colors will always be diluted with shades of green of different species of coniferous plantations. No less picturesque are the autumn landscapes of the resort areas "Burabai", Imantau-Shalkarskaya, Karkaralinsk, even if the mountains are lower here.

Winter

Winter is a time for lovers of downhill skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating. Almaty and East Kazakhstan regions are famous for ski resorts, steep wild slopes for freeriders. "Shymkent", "Akbulak", "Tabagan", Oi-Qaragai, "Altai Alps" are famous places for family holidays far beyond the borders of the country. But what to do where there are no mountains? Skate! There are dozens of indoor and outdoor ice rinks in almost every city of Northern and Central Kazakhstan.

Spring

Fields of tulips in Turkestan and Zhambyl regions, poppies in Almaty and Zhetysu, lilac candyks in the east of the country – do not allow travelers to stay in one place for a long time! In spring, at the end of March, the whole country celebrates the bright holiday of Nauryz. Spring renewal holiday, when people visit each other, snow-white yurts are installed on the streets of cities and villages and treats are prepared for everyone!

Almaty

This is the largest and most populated city in Kazakhstan, located at the foot of the majestic Ile Alatau Mountains. In Almaty, everyone will find something to their liking: grandiose mountain peaks, azure lakes, winter activities, extreme sports, or the bustling life of a two-million metropolis that has its own unique soul!

Almaty Region

Almaty Region has the most diverse landscape of all regions of Kazakhstan. It boasts snow-covered mountains, hot deserts, dense coniferous forests, picturesque canyons, and endless steppes. Almaty Region is also famous for its unique rock carvings, Saka burial mounds, and ruins of ancient settlements.

Astana

Astana is not only the capital but an important economic and cultural center of Kazakhstan. It regularly hosts various forums, summits, festivals, and conferences. The city attracts tourists with its architectural marvels, beautiful embankments, wide avenues, and a perfect blend of Kazakh traditions and modern technologies.

Akmola Region

Akmola Region encompasses the capital of Kazakhstan – Astana – on its territory. Besides, the area is interesting thanks to its unique historical sites and several national parks. If you ever find yourself in Astana, be sure to escape from the bustle of the city for a few days to see what the region has to offer.

Shymkent

This is the oldest city in Kazakhstan with an ancient citadel in the center. Shymkent is also home to the settlement of Sairam, a real treasure trove of archaeological finds. The city is also famous for its parks and a unique arboretum where rare and exotic tree species grow.

Turkistan Region

The Turkistan Region, famous for its historical sights and natural landscapes, should be an essential stop on your Kazakhstan itinerary. It's home to one of the country's main attractions – the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi. This mausoleum has won the city the title of the spiritual capital of the Turkic world.

Baikonur

Baikonur is the first space harbor on the planet, the place where the whole world history of space exploration began. From here the first satellite was launched, and from here Yuri Gagarin flew into space. Today Baikonur is one of the best historical landmarks of modern Kazakhstan.

The Aral Sea

Once the fourth largest lake in the world, the Aral Sea has almost completely dried up having shrunk by 97%. This tragedy is unparalleled in human history. Nowadays the landscape looks deserted, lifeless, and Mars-like. However, it's still attractive and mysterious.

Zhambyl Region

The Silk Road that passed through the region centuries ago gave rise to prosperous merchant cities. The ruins of these cities are now UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Masterpieces of ancient architecture, Muslim shrines, scenic landscapes, and wellness resorts – that's what attract tourists to the Zhambyl Region.

Mangystau

Vast clay deserts, limestone buttes, salt marshes, and sand beaches make Mangystau one of Kazakhstan’s most spectacular regions. The region, often called The Land of 360 Saints, is also home to unique underground mosques and other religious sites.

Kazakh Altai

Untouched nature, high mountains, dense forests, unique archaeological sites, hundreds of rivers and lakes make this region one of the country's most inviting corners. Many people talk about «a special vibe» when asked about Altai. They are probably right as the region is known to possess some spiritual power.

Kyzylorda Region

The Baikonur Cosmodrome and the Aral Sea are undoubtedly the region's most famous destinations. However, there are many other interesting places: ancient settlements, mausoleums, museums, and mosques. The region also contains some amazing nature and miles of seemingly endless plains that extend far beyond the horizon.

Karaganda Region

Karaganda Region encompasses boundless steppes of Saryarka or the Kazakh Uplands. The region boasts many historical and natural attractions that are definitely worth visiting. The city of Karaganda is known as the country's mining capital and space harbor.

Pavlodar Region

This is one of the country's most fascinating regions, where you can explore natural attractions, study Kazakh culture, or just have a good time. The region is home to a popular resort area called Bayanaul. This place is perfect for outdoor adventures as it is filled with coniferous forests, rocky mountains, and clear lakes.

North Kazakhstan

North Kazakhstan Region

As the name suggests, the region is located in the north of Kazakhstan, near the border with Russia. It occupies only 3.6% of the country's area. Despite its relatively small size, there are many natural and historical attractions.

Kostanay Region

This is the land of 5000 lakes, which are a safe haven for rare species of migratory birds. The unique lakes and endless steppes of the Kostanay Region are the first natural site in Kazakhstan included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Aktobe Region

Aktobe Region offers some of the country's most unusual sights, as well as spiritual places such as mausoleums and necropolises. Outdoor enthusiasts will find the region's nature captivating too. There one can see steppes, deserts, floodplain swamps, and even snow-white chalk mountains.

West Kazakhstan

West Kazakhstan Region

This region has seen several significant historical events and was visited by many prominent people. Frequent economic and cultural interactions with the Russian Empire influenced the region greatly. This land is also known as the scene of the rebellion led by Emelyan Pugachev during the reign of Catherine the Great.

Atyrau Region

One of the most surprising regions of Kazakhstan, it is home to the world's northernmost lotus flower population, the unique salt Lake Inder with its therapeutic mud, the snow-white chalk Akkegershin Plateau, and even the so-called «asphalt lake». Moreover, the region features board between Europe and Asia.

Jetysu Region

Seven rivers – this is what the name Jetysu means in Kazakh. The region lives up to its name. There are seven large rivers framed by high mountains and dense forests. In the Jetysu region, you can experience several climatic zones in just one day: from hot sandy deserts to alpine meadows and peaks covered with eternal snow.

Ulytau Region

Ulytau is the geographical and historical center of Kazakhstan. This land witnessed the most important events of Kazakh history and has a few stories to tell. Here the great khans mounted the throne and were buried, bloody battles took place, and the fate of the Kazakh people was decided.

Abay Region

The birthplace of Abay Kunanbayev, an outstanding Kazakh poet and philosopher. The place where Fyodor Dostoevsky lived for five years. The center of the Eurasian continent. All this is about the Abay Region of Kazakhstan. It is also the land of endless meadows, low rocky mountains, and hundreds of rivers and lakes.

The tour brochure provides information for visitors to the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site. It guides readers through the grounds and exhibitions in twenty stations, with a further six stations devoted to important locations near the Memorial Site. Based on the latest research and written in a clear and succinct style, the brochure follows the history of the Dachau concentration camp up until 1945 and the subsequent uses of the grounds from 1945 through to the present day. Numerous photographs, some of them historical, as well as drawings and accounts by survivors complement the text. Overview layouts enable visitors to locate different relicts of the concentration camp and places of remembrance. Aerial photographs allow connections to be made between the historical grounds of the concentration camp and today’s Memorial Site. Not only an invaluable aid for a structured exploration of the Memorial Site, the brochure is also ideal for planning and reviewing a visit.

Tiger Woods, PGA Tour Enterprises

PGA Tour Enterprises , the newly formed for-profit entity, is prepared to dole out massive sums of money to reward player loyalty amid the LIV Golf discord.

The PGA Tour struck a deal with Strategic Sports Group worth up to $3 billion three months ago. As part of the fundraising efforts, the Tour will disseminate hundreds of millions of dollars to its membership, per The Telegraph.

Tiger Woods, the 15-time major champion, will receive the largest sum upwards of $100 million. Rory McIlroy will net a cool $50 million. Other top players like Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas will earn $30 million.

The Masters - Final Round, Tiger Woods

The entire payout structure to all players has yet to be made public.

Nearly two thirds of the money infused into the company will be handed out via equity shares. However, a safeguard was put in place to avoid players taking the money and then jumping ship for LIV Golf.

Fifty percent of the money will be vested after four years on Tour. Another 25 percent will be added two years after that and all 100 percent will be vested after eight years.

There are a number of factors that determined a players’ worth.

Chief among them are the ‘career points’ and how players have fared through the Player Impact Program (PIP).

The former is a model that looks at career achievements through the lens of longevity. The latter, which was established a couple of years ago to combat the money thrown by LIV at players, takes into account how an individual has helped promote and grow the sport through ticket sales, sponsorships, media consumption and fan engagement.

Understandably, Woods would top the list. He continues to move the needle . One just needs to look at The Masters less than two weeks ago.

Television ratings were initially up as Woods performed well and made the cut for the 24th consecutive appearance, setting a new PGA Tour record . However, after he faltered to historic lows Saturday, ratings plummeted during the weekend.

The Tiger Woods effect is a problem that the PGA Tour and professional golf is still yet to solve.

However, if a deal is ever reached between LIV and the PGA Tour, bringing the best players together might at least stem the tide.

Players who stayed loyal to the PGA Tour amid lucrative recruitment by Saudi-funded LIV Golf are starting to find out how much that loyalty could be worth.

The PGA Tour on Wednesday began contacting the 193 players eligible for the $930 million from a “Player Equity Program” under the new PGA Tour Enterprises .

The bulk of that money — $750 million — went to 36 players based on their career performance, the last five years and how they fared in a recent program that measured their star power.

How much they received was not immediately known. Emails were going out Wednesday afternoon and Thursday informing players of what they would get. One person who saw a list of how the equity shares were doled out said the names had been redacted. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because many details of the program were not made public.

The Telegraph reported Tiger Woods was to receive $100 million in equity and Rory McIlroy could get $50 million, without saying how it came up with those numbers.

Commissioner Jay Monahan outlined the first-of-its-kind equity ownership program in a Feb. 7 memo to players, a week after Strategic Sports Group became a minority investor in the new commercial PGA Tour Enterprises.

The private equity group, a consortium of professional sports owners led by the Fenway Sports Group, made an initial investment of $1.5 billion that could be worth $3 billion. The tour is still negotiating with the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia — the financial muscle behind the rival LIV Golf league — as an investor.

Any deal with PIF would most certainly increase the value of the equity shares.

Another person with knowledge of the Player Equity Program, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the private nature of the dealings, said the equity money is not part of the SSG investment. That money was geared toward growth capital.

Golf.com received a series of informational videos on the Player Equity Program that was sent to players and reported only 50% of the equity would vest after four years, 25% more after six years and the rest of it after eight years.

It also reported how the 36 players from the top tier were judged on “career points,” such as how long they were full members, victories, how often they reached the Tour Championship and extra points for significant victories.

Jason Gore, the tour’s chief player officer, said in one of the videos, “It’s really about making sure that our players know the PGA Tour is the best place to compete and showing them how much the Tour appreciates them being loyal.”

Emails also were sent to 64 players who would share $75 million in aggregate equity based on the past three years, and $30 million to 57 players who are PGA Tour members. Also, $75 million in equity shares was set aside for 36 past players instrumental in building the tour.

The program has an additional $600 million in equity grants that are recurring for future PGA Tour players. Those would be awarded in amounts of $100 million annually started in 2025.

Players only get equity shares from one of the four tiers now, although everyone would be eligible for the recurring grants.

Even with equity ownership geared toward making the PGA Tour better, the concern was players questioning who got how much and whether they received their fair share.

LIV Golf lured away seven major champions dating to 2018 since it launched in 2022, all with guaranteed contracts and most of them believed to have topped $100 million.

McIlroy, playing this week in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, was asked how much would make players feel validated for their decision to stay with the PGA Tour.

“I think the one thing we’ve learned in golf over the last two years is there’s never enough,” McIlroy replied.

Best time to visit kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan has a continental climate, which lends itself to extreme temperatures. In summer (June to August) it can climb above 36 degrees C (96°F) and in winter (December to February) you can expect temperatures to be as low as -26 degrees C (-10°F). Snow stays on the ground for almost half the year. The best time to travel is during spring (May to June) and autumn (September to November) when temperatures are mild. While it can rain at any time of year, the amount varies across the country. In the desert you’ll get very little, while in the mountains it’s best not to leave home without a rain jacket.

Top 5 tastes of Kazakhstan

1. beshbarmak.

This is Kazakhstan’s national dish and a meat lover’s delight. Chunks of boiled mutton served on flat squares of pasta.

Get ready for sausage, Kazakh-style. Made with horsemeat, the sausage is cooked for two hours before being served with generous servings of onion.

Wash down your main course with a glass of fermented mare’s milk. It’s mildly alcoholic and has a fizzy sensation. Shubat is another version made with camel’s milk.

4. Baursaki

Try these fried, doughy balls of goodness alongside soup.

Make new friends wherever you go by sitting down and sharing a cup of shay. This black or green tea is a Kazakh staple.
