“Ringworm is a metal band from Cleveland, Ohio, USA, formed in 1991. Specifically they play styles such as metalcore, thrash metal, crossover, hardcore. The band started under the moniker Force of Habit and had one song on the ‘Voice of Thousands’ compilation album, released by Conversion Records in 1990/91. Soon there after the band changed the name to Ringworm. Human Furnace also plays for his side project, Holy Ghost, Chris Dora is a member of Death/Thrash Metal band Soulless and John Comprix plays for Power/Heavy Metal band Beyond Fear. Ringworm has two demos and four full-length albums. There is a CD called ‘Flatline’ which was released by the German hardcore label, Lost & Found, who was notorious for bootlegging artists material without consent. All the songs found on both demos were later re-recorded and used on albums.”

As part of the promotion for the release of his upcoming EP Crooked Boy , Starr stopped by Amoeba Records in Hollywood on April 18 with Linda Perry . The four-song collection – "February Sky," "Adeline," "Gonna Need Someone," and "Crooked Boy" – was written and produced by the Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee and in turn, she sent them to Starr for drumming and vocal contribution.
"Linda put the whole thing together," Starr explained when asked how the collaboration came together. "During the pandemic, I just decided to make EPs. I was determined to work with people I hadn't worked with before and Linda was one of them, a great songwriter." Perry in turn acknowledged Starr's influence early in her life. "I was brought up with this incredible music of the Beatles, watching Ringo and him always being my favorite, 'cause I thought he was the most charming and funniest one."
Perry also came up with the image for the album, a photo taken in February 1964 in Miami Beach by photographer Harry Benson. Benson had been traveling with the Beatles on that fateful trip to America and snapped Starr in his swim trunks during the band's trip there for the Ed Sullivan broadcast from the Deauville Hotel.
Starr did let slip during the Amoeba Records appearance that he's in the middle of making another record, "a 10-tracker," but quickly got back to the record at hand. In honor of Record Store Day the Crooked Boy EP will be available in a 2,000-only pressing on black and white marble vinyl.
Crooked Boy will be released digitally on April 26. Black vinyl and CD formats will be available May 31.

Finnish guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari joined MEGADETH last September after the band's longtime axeman Kiko Loureiro , announced earlier that month that he would sit out the next leg of MEGADETH 's "Crush The World" tour in order to stay home with his children back in Finland. It was later revealed that Mäntysaari would continue to play guitar for MEGADETH for the foreseeable future, with Loureiro seemingly having no plans to return.
The 37-year-old Mäntysaari was born in Tampere, Finland and began playing guitar at the age of 12. In 2004, he joined the band WINTERSUN . He has also been a member of SMACKBOUND since 2015.
MEGADETH played its first concert with Mäntysaari on September 6, 2023 at Revel in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Loureiro officially joined MEGADETH in April 2015, about five months after Chris Broderick 's exit from the group.
Since its inception in 1983, MEGADETH has ascended from its raw thrash metal roots to become an unstoppable force in the heavy metal world. With founder Dave Mustaine at the helm, MEGADETH 's journey has been marked by a penchant for pushing the boundaries of speed, technicality, and complexity in their music. Their groundbreaking album "Rust In Peace" , released in 1990, is frequently cited as a seminal work in the thrash metal genre. Along with the critically acclaimed "Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?" , it cemented MEGADETH 's place in the annals of metal history.
Over four decades, the band's discography has earned numerous certifications, including platinum and multi-platinum awards, with albums like "Countdown To Extinction" and "Youthanasia" achieving widespread critical acclaim. 2016's "Dystopia" not only marked a high point with their first Grammy Award for "Best Metal Performance" after twelve nominations but also set the stage for their latest triumph, "The Sick, The Dying... And The Dead!" in 2022. MEGADETH 's status as part of the "Big Four" of thrash metal underscores their trailblazing role in the genre, laying the groundwork for countless bands and musicians who have followed in their wake.

New Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Foreigner will bid farewell to Missouri this summer
In the sports world, fans rarely have a chance to see a star play after being named to their game's hall of fame.
In music, the opportunity remains rare but comes around a bit more often. Classic-rock fans will get that chance — at least three of them — starting this summer when newly-minted Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Foreigner swing through the Show Me State.
The hall's 2024 class was named Sunday; Foreigner joins the likes of A Tribe Called Quest, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Mary J. Blige and more to be inducted in a future ceremony.
Foreigner's three scheduled Missouri dates are part of a farewell tour running through the end of 2024, and possibly beyond. Closest to home here in Columbia, the band will play the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia Aug. 8 with Maggie Rose. Tickets are $50-$60.
First though, the band will play Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in the St. Louis area June 18; Foreigner will also play Ozarks Amphitheater in Camdenton Oct. 4.
Before the band hits its final stride, here's a quick look at Foreigner, by the numbers.
Foreigner, by the numbers
1976: The year British guitarist Mick Jones formed the band in New York City.
1: The highest American chart position achieved by one of Foreigner's singles; "I Want to Know What Love Is," the band's only No. 1 stateside hit, topped the charts in 1984.
9: The amount of Top 10 hits the band scored in the U.S., starting with 1977's "Feels Like the First Time" and ending with "I Don't Want to Live Without You" in 1988.
2009: The date of the band's most recent album release, "Can't Slow Down"; AllMusic scribe Stephen Thomas Erlewine said the record "sounds like it could have been a hit in the late '80s."
2003: The end of star singer Lou Gramm's official run in Foreigner, though he has popped up and on stage with the band on a few occasions.
1: Number of original Foreigner members left: Jones is the only remaining founder, though several of the current members have been around for some time, including singer Kelly Hansen since 2005.
Jones' touring role has been limited for some time by Parkinson's disease.
"As to whether I get up on stage and perform hasn’t really been decided as yet," Jones told Billboard about the forthcoming Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony . "In some ways it might be nice just to be there to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy being inducted."

Ringo Starr has announced new tour dates for his Ringo & His All Starr Band Fall Tour, which will see them return to a few of Ringo’s favorite venues.
These spots include Fallsview Casino in Ontario, where he has launched several tours (2010, 2012) and to Radio City Music Hall where he has performed eight times with the All Starrs between 1992-2018. That celebrated venue was also where, on July 7, 2010, Ringo and the All Starrs were joined by two surprise guests, his fellow Beatles bandmate Paul McCartney and Joe Walsh , in celebration of Ringo’s 70th birthday.
Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band featuring Steve Lukather, Edgar Winter, Colin Hay, Warren Ham, Hamish Stuart and Gregg Bissonette will play 12 shows overall.
The tour will be in part to support Ringo’s fifth EP, Crooked Boy , which will be released in limited edition marble vinyl on Record Store Day , which is set for April 20. To celebrate the release, Ringo appeared at Amoeba Records on Hollywood Boulevard for a special listening party on April 18.
The new EP consists of four original tracks. All songs were written and produced by Linda Perry for Starr to make his own, adding vocals and playing drums. Next Friday, April 26, the project will be released digitally.
After previously collaborating on two songs that appeared on earlier Ringo EPs (“Coming Undone” on Change the World and “Everyone and Everything” on EP3 ), Linda approached Ringo and asked if she could produce an entire EP – and Crooked Boy is the result.
“Linda made me a great EP – she produced it in her studio and then sent me the tracks and I added the drumming and my vocals,” Ringo said. “‘February Sky’ is great – very moody – but since Linda wrote these specifically for me – it of course has to have a positive peace & love element.”
Visit your local record store on April 20th to grab a copy of the Record Store Day vinyl release of Crooked Boy .

A new wave one-stop shop will tour North America this summer when Howard Jones and ABC will be hitting stages across North America with special guest Haircut 100. The full itinerary appears below.
“I’m very excited to be hitting the road with my friends ABC and Haircut 100,” Jones enthused. “Our audiences can look forward to some seriously top tunes night after night! Bring your celebratory selves to the party.”
Popular on Variety
Of course, the evening will play out like an evening filled with hits from the early days of MTV, when the so-called “Second British Invasion” dominated the channel. Jones’ hits “New Song” and “What Is Love,” and “Things Can Only Get Better” probably segued into or out of ABC’s “Look of Love,” “Poison Arrow” and “Be Near Me” and Haircut 100’s “Love Plus One” and “Fantastic Day.”
All three acts have gone on to other successes, but this tour brings together the songs and sounds that first brought them to fame.
