Exciting and incredible trip to Rajasthan, south and north of india from a group of 18 Spanish people.

We were a group of 18 people for 25 days north and south of India. This year was my 2nd trip to india with tour by Jennifer and I must say that both our trips is wonderful. The service was excellent, the hotels were very good and bhagat is an excellent professional driver. Bhagat was warm, welcoming, courteous, and professional. The bus itself was new, equipped with WIFI, cold bottled water and soft drinks. Throughout our tour, bhagat was the perfect gentleman, opening the bus door for us at all our stops. He was accommodating when I wanted to make an additional stop at any places to see the famous palaces, forts, stepwell and many more. I also appreciated a personal call I received from mr. Daniel (owner) checking in with us to see if I felt safe during my travels. This was a pleasant surprise and a caring personalized touch, one that certainly sets them apart from other tour companies. Justin answered my emails promptly, and answered my never-ending questions patiently. I had many concerns and questions. Justin answered them all. Last minute, I decided I wanted to change parts of my itinerary. He did so without any hesitation. He created an ideal rajasthan, south and north tour which included our own private driver, hotels, destinations, and tour guides for the whole entire tour. This was all done within my budget and last minute with the utmost of professional care. Our plane arrived late night in south (kochi) but my driver, Ravi, was standing at the kochi airport, patiently, with a smile on his face with a sign with my name. I must say that all the drivers and guides is professional and well understood and fulfill the need of customer and treat as family. I proudly say that tour by Jennifer is amazing, trustworthy, and valuable company in india. And now a friend of mine. I am looking forward to my 3rd trip with them next year. Thanks daniel and Justin for making our journey memorable and fantastic.

Golden Triangle Tour

We went on the "Golden Triangle" tour with Tours by Jennifer. We greatly enjoyed it. The trip was organized, smooth and allowed us to see many monuments in the cities we visited, including of course, the Taj Mahal at sunrise, which was incredible. All of the tour guides that were arranged for us in the respective cities were very friendly and knowledgeable. Our driver, Pratap, was amazing!!! He was the kindest guy and if course a very talented and safe driver, which is important in India. Many thanks to Mr. Daniel and his son Justin for giving us a great experience in India!

Jennifer Lopez rebrands 2024 tour as greatest hits concert after canceling dates

The singer nixed several accompanying show dates due to a logistical error, EW previously learned.

tour by jennifer

Weeks after canceling several tour dates due to a logistical error, Jennifer Lopez has rebranded her upcoming 2024 This Is Me... Now tour as a career-spanning celebration titled This Is Me... Live: The Greatest Hits.

"Come dance the night away at This Is Me…LIVE this Summer," Lopez wrote on Instagram alongside a video montage highlighting her past singles and notable film appearances, from "Love Don't Cost a Thing" to Selena .

“Who knew that this girl right here, singing for my family, performing around my city and following my passion, would take me places I could never have imagined,” Lopez says in the clip, also calling the performances "a celebration for all of us" on the road. “No matter what, I’m just the girl I’ve always been, with the love that drives me to share my story on stage like I always have.”

Some reports initially suggested that the tour's promotion shifted to include more of Lopez's discography due to low ticket sales, but Entertainment Weekly has learned that the singer made no changes to the planned setlist or the content of the show itself, and that the tour was always intended to be a celebration of Lopez's career rather than just highlight her recent This Is Me... Now album and its accompanying movie, This Is Me...Now: A Love Story .

EW has reached out to representatives for Lopez for comment.

Daniele Venturelli/Getty

In March, Lopez canceled tour dates spanning Aug. 22-30, including stops in Nashville, Atlanta, Tampa, New Orleans, and Raleigh, N.C.

Like its predecessor — her 2002 album,  This Is Me... Then — the sequel This Is Me... Now chronicles Lopez's love life, in particular her marriage to actor  Ben Affleck following their previous separation.

Though the accompanying Amazon Original streaming movie made headlines and was one of the platform's most-watched titles the week of its release, This Is Me... Now  the album spent only one week on the  Billboard  200 albums chart, at No. 38, despite reaching No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart.

Apparently, fans don’t want JLo now. So her tour producers are hoping they’ll want JLo then.

The struggling North American “This Is Me…Now” tour – Jennifer Lopez ‘s first in five years — is transforming into “This Is Me…Live/The Greatest Hits.” It’s apparently hoped that the promise of familiar material will goose ticket sales, which already saw seven tour dates canceled.

It has been 10 years since Lopez’s last studio LP, 2014’s A.K.A. , and 22 years since 2002’s This Is Me … Then gave her two of her biggest hits in  “Jenny From the Block”  and “All I Have.”

The two films are This Is Me…Now: A Love Story, and a documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told. ”

The projects were part of a self-financed, $20 million multimedia project that includes the tour and the two films.

Little Big Town and Sugarland Collaboration on CMT Awards Wasn’t a One-Off: LBT Members Talk Covering Phil Collins for Joint Single, Plus Fall Tour

little big town sugarland joint tour take me home single

For the group’s 25th anniversary, Little Big Town is pouring some sugar on it. Some Sugarland , actually, as the two country groups will be spending some quality time together later this year, in the wake of their joint performance Sunday night on the CMT Music Awards , where they hooked up to sing their newly arranged cover of Phil Collins ‘ 1985 smash “Take Me Home.”

Popular on Variety

There’s a throwback element to the new single and tour, as well as Sunday’s CMTs appearance: The two groups toured together in the late 2000s, and they sang a cover of the Dream Academy’s “Life in a Northern Town” (then joined by Jake Owen as well) on the 2008 show that at the time went under the name of the CMT Flameworthy Awards.

Backstage at Austin’s Moody Center during CMT Awards rehearsals, the four members of Little Big Town sat down to discuss with Variety their feelings about reuniting with their old vocal-harmony pals.

The tour plan preceded choosing which song to do together, says Karen Fairchild. “When we were on the road together years ago, we would really learn songs in the afternoon and then sing ’em,” she recalls. “Like, if we were in Memphis, we’d do ‘Walking in Memphis.’ So it was just something fun that we did on the road. So when this tour was gonna be announced and we were gonna get to do a song, then it was like, what do we do? And this song was Kristian Bush’s (of Sugarland) idea. and then we decided that we should get in the studio, because it sounded so good, and make it our own.”

There’s a more personal, if slightly indirect, connection as well. “We should tell you: Akil Thompson that plays in the band — he’s on keys, but he plays everything — his dad is Chester Thompson. Well, Chester, created the drum part on this. There are so many followers of drummers of just his part on that, on YouTube. So that’s why there’s so many drums out there on the CMTs stage — because Hubert (Payne, the group’s drummer) is channeling his inner Chester Thompson… with Akil sitting next to him. Akil showed us a picture of himself standing side-stage at a Phil Collins concert, watching his dad play on this song, so it’s kind of a full-circle moment for him.”

There is plenty of full circling happening now with the Little Big Town/Sugarland reconnection, which couldn’t have happened that many times in other recent years, since the latter duo’s Jennifer Nettles and Bush have been pursuing solo activities more than band work for the most part.

Says Fairchild, “We used to hang out with them because we went to see them open up for Brooks and Dunn, and we played cards one night, and then we just became fast friends.” Although LBT has been in existence as a unit slightly longer, Sugarland broke big in country first, so she tells a story of Nettles and Bush being helpful as they struggled.

“We ran into them again at a festival, back in the day when we were broke and we didn’t have any gear. The guys were locked down on wired packs and we really wanted to invest in some wireless packs — ad this seems really silly now, but back then that was an important thing; we didn’t have any freedom to move around the stage. Sugarland had just had their first big No. 1 or something. And they bought us wireless packs — gave ’em to us and said, ‘Just pay the kindness forward.'”

Says Westbook, “They were so sweet, and I know they felt like they were investing in in our future and helping us out, because they know what that means.”

“And then they bought us wardrobe cases!” adds Fairchild. “And then we gifted those wardrobe cases to Old Dominion, but they kept our names on there, so the guys had Kimberly, Karen, Phillip and Jimi on their wardrobe cases. They just gave those cases away — I don’t know who they gave the old ones to — but we’re trying to just keep the tradition going.”

As for their collaborating now… four-part harmony is hard enough. Isn’t six-part harmony going to be tougher?

They laugh. There isn’t quite so much of that, in actuality, as usually someone is singing a lead vocal that doesn’t have to fit in with the background parts. “The great thing about that is, there’s so many like ad libs in this song,” Schlapman says. “The rest of us keep the harmonies going while the ad libs also go along, so that’s where the six voices come in really handy.” But, as CMT Awards viewers say, all six members of the two groups got in at least a little lead-vocal time as the song went on.

The concluding night of the tour at Nashville’s big arena will mark the first time Little Big Town has headlined in Music City since a multi-night residency at the Ryman in 2017.

“With COVID, we didn’t plan on staying away that long,” says Fairchild. “But touring in the last few years, we did play there with George Strait, but yeah, we have not headlined anything until this Bridgestone show coming up. And that’s gonna be the last night of the tour. So it’s gonna be a party.” Chimes in Schlapman: “Katy-bar the door.”

After the CMTs, Fairchild was trying to figure out how to stick around Austin long enough to get in some vintage clothes-shopping, as is her habit when visiting the city. “This is one of my favorite places to shop, and I’m trying to figure out how I’m going to do that because they have us pretty busy. The vintage shopping here is phenomenal. I could stay and watch the eclipse, I guess, and shop.”

It’s suggested that she could shop in the dark, during the blackout. “She brought a headlamp,” quips Westbrook.

“Spelunking?” says Fairchild. “No, shopping.”

Where Did It All Go Wrong for J.Lo?

Weak tour sales, a baffling album-movie-documentary, and general online mockery—why does everyone seem to have a problem with Jennifer Lopez?

In February, Jennifer Lopez released a bundle of multimedia projects that were each part of a larger statement—arguably, a misguided one—about the power of love or something. One of those was This Is Me … Now , a very cheesy and otherwise unremarkable late-career pop album. The other was This Is Me … Now: A Love Story , a loosely biographical, somewhat egomaniacal adaptation of the album into a blockbuster musical full of astrological melodrama, flashy choreography, and celebrity cameos. Finally, a couple of weeks later, Lopez released The Greatest Love Story Never Told , a behind-the-scenes documentary that’s chiefly about the making of This Is Me … Now: A Love Story but is more notable for its awkwardly invasive glimpses into J.Lo’s famed romance with a dutifully supportive but quite visibly mortified Ben Affleck.

The Ringer ’s Streaming Guide

A collage of characters from popular TV shows, from Barry to Succession

There’s a lot of TV out there. We want to help: Every week, we’ll tell you the best and most urgent shows to stream so you can stay on top of the ever-expanding heap of Peak TV.

This is all, taken together, as overproduced and exasperating as it sounds. Each project has been met with mixed-to-bad reviews and general mockery on social media. J.Lo herself admitted to Variety that she made and self-financed the musical, to the tune of $20 million, even though everyone in her creative orbit, including coproducer Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and castmate Jane Fonda, warned her about the risk of further overexposure of her relationship with Affleck. But J.Lo persisted, and the result is a roundly uncanny production that’s distressingly reminiscent of Tyler Perry’s I Can Do Bad All by Myself but also James Cameron’s Avatar and also Paul Hunter’s music video for “Wild Wild West.” Fat Joe plays J.Lo’s therapist, and Jane Fonda plays Sagittarius, in the most cringeworthy release involving either Lopez or Affleck since—too fittingly, really— Gigli. Ticket sales for the tour to promote This Is Me … Now have been exceptionally weak; J.Lo has hastily rebranded the concert series as a greatest hits tour.

The overexposure of pop stars, to a fault, is routine. We know perhaps a bit too much about J.Lo’s pop contemporaries, too, and look: It’s not like Mariah Carey and Justin Timberlake haven’t also pushed their own post-peak vanity projects to weak receptions in recent years. But J.Lo has, for much of her career, been a curiously unsympathetic figure, a stone-cold climber whose missteps draw a great deal of schadenfreude and now something of a backlash.

Lopez has long been a more divisive figure than meets the eye. This was the crux of the drama a couple of months ago on Saturday Night Live , concerning host Ayo Edebiri, costar of The Bear , and musical guest Lopez, as the latter was promoting her aforementioned projects a couple of weeks before their release dates. A day before the taping in New York, TMZ resurfaced some old footage of Edebiri, as a guest on Laci Mosley’s podcast, Scam Goddess , saying Lopez “can’t sing” and describing her musical career as “one long scam.” These were jokes , in one sense—a comedic actor skewering a pop star in a harmlessly petty conversation on a podcast brought to you by Team Coco—but then, yes, actually, this has always been the shadow discourse about J.Lo. She can’t sing, and not in the normal way that a lot of pop stars slathered in Auto-Tune can’t sing; J.Lo goes so far as to hide behind uncredited vocals from other singers, from Ashanti (“I’m Real,” “Ain’t It Funny”) to Meghan Trainor (“Ain’t Your Mama”) . These criticisms are common enough that Lopez, commenting on the footage of Edebiri, told Variety that she’s indeed “heard similar things said about me throughout my career.” While Lopez would publicly insist that Edebiri’s comments were water under the bridge, Edebiri led off her SNL appearance with a sketch referencing her criticism of Lopez , in a half-kidding ritual self-humiliation. This was Lorne Michaels making the most of an awkward situation, sure, but also it felt like Lopez putting Edebiri in her place, even if she wasn’t directly responsible for the sketch’s development. Lopez also made a point of telling Variety that Edebiri apologized to her “with tears in her eyes.”

Such is the role Lopez never sought but has played on and off for decades now: J.Lo as pop villain—or, if not quite villain, a sort of hapless foil. Her famous feud with Mariah Carey in the early 2000s gave us the iconic quote from Carey after she was asked about J.Lo: “I don’t know her.” This was a rivalry born out of Carey’s divorce from her label boss, Tommy Mottola at Sony, who reportedly led the label to aggressively promote Lopez and scornfully sabotage the career of his ex-wife. Mottola and the tabloids pitted these two women against each other, and while the rivalry never escalated into any direct confrontation or explicit denunciation, J.Lo has always come across as the loser—a woman out of her depth.

J.Lo got her start as a Fly Girl on In Living Color and as the breakout star of Gregory Nava’s charming biopic Selena. This was the 1990s. These were, in retrospect, the only years when Lopez was so uncontroversially beloved, before her disastrous involvement with Puff Daddy, before her cold war with Mariah, and before her multimedia reach, far exceeding her grasp, could culminate in something as unwieldy and off-putting as This Is Me … Now: A Love Story. Much of the cynicism about J.Lo over the years, up to its latest climax, concerns her particular proportion of fame and talent. There’s the sense that even the heights of her own career don’t quite compare to those of her contemporaries or earn her the same sort of everlasting goodwill. Mariah Carey was arguably the most formidable female pop singer of her generation, with a fearsome command of five octaves, while Jennifer Lopez was a great dancer with a relatively weak singing voice, evident to anyone who has ever intently listened to the chorus of “Waiting for Tonight.” This contrast was always a bit damning, even if the underlying rivalry was false and, in any case, wasn’t J.Lo’s fault or problem. But J.Lo is a talented entertainer, undeniably, even as she struggles to narrow her ambitions in response to that pesky, inevitable question: talented at what, exactly?

This Is Me … Now: A Love Story possibly would’ve worked better as a back-to-basics dance showcase for Lopez, a savvy capitalization on the goodwill from her impressive performance alongside Shakira at Super Bowl LIV. But, of course, it had to be an overwrought showcase for J.Lo as an actor, singer, writer, producer, and lover, too. “Bennifer” is a tabloid romance for the ages, sure, but also the most consistently overexposed aspect of J.Lo’s legacy and one that’s dramatically at odds with her posturing as “Jenny from the block,” when she is, at this point, so clearly and thoroughly a creature of Hollywood, subject of so much resentment, exactly as Fonda warned her.

Jennifer Lopez's Viral "the Bronx" Controversy Proves Younger Latines Don't Find Her Authentic

Published on 4/3/2024 at 2:30 PM

tour by jennifer

Jennifer Lopez has been busy. In case you missed it, the Puerto Rican singer, dancer, and actor released not one but three complementary projects to kick off the year. There's her "This Is Me . . . Now" album; a video companion/musical to said album, "This Is Me . . . Now: A Love Story"; and a documentary that dives into said love story, " The Greatest Love Story Never Told ." It was an ambitious undertaking, no doubt. And one that has her being dragged across TikTok, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter).

Part of the controversy lies in how Lopez represents herself and her native borough of the Bronx. In one scene from the documentary, Lopez tussles her curly hair while looking in the mirror and says, "It reminds me, like, when I was 16 in the Bronx, running up and down the block. Crazy little girl who used to fucking be wild and no limits, all dreams." TikTok quickly jumped on this small clip, with many users commenting on how contrived the scene felt. One user noted it allegedly took numerous takes to get the finished shot. From there, it wasn't long before social media started to mine Lopez's old interviews for any hint of inauthenticity.

In a resurfaced clip from Vogue's "73 Questions" series , Lopez shares her childhood bodega order of "ham and cheese on a roll with an orange drink . . . and a small bag of chips." This clip, too, has been flamed on social media as New Yorkers demand to know exactly what orange drink Lopez is referring to. Others have remarked it's such a generic order that Lopez can't be as bodega-bred as she claims.

And then, of course, there's the nail in the coffin: an old clip from 2014 making the rounds on social media that shows Lopez pulling up to her old house in Castle Hill, and the current resident having absolutely no idea who she is.

It's not that Lopez isn't from the Bronx — of course, she is. No one can take that away from her. It's that the image she portrays, one of a tried-and-true Bronx girl who made it to Hollywood while staying true to her roots, comes off as disingenuous. Many think she's using the borough for relevance in an age that values authenticity more than anything. But how did she become so seemingly disconnected from the people she supposedly represents?

Growing up in a Puerto Rican household meant Lopez could do no wrong. She was the Fly Girl who made it big. She was Selena. And when her debut album, "On the 6," dropped, my mom had it on repeat, singing along to every word. For my mom, Lopez symbolized success. For many heads from that generation, that's what success was — not so much repping your hood, but representing the fact that you made it out of your hood.

Today, however, that's not enough. That's why Lopez's actions are often perceived as self-serving. In part, it's a generational difference. This is evidenced by the fact that so few of her recent critics knew what she meant by "orange drink." For the record, I'm pretty sure she was referencing the 25-cent "quarter waters" that were a staple of bodegas back in the '90s (you'd be hard-pressed to find them now). They didn't have a proper name; you just asked for the color. But, bodega order aside, the fact that Lopez had to rebrand her tour amid slowing ticket sales shows how much public opinion has waned for a star who once sold out Vegas residencies with frequency.

In this light, it's unsurprising that people from the community and even her fans are skeptical of how she reps the Bronx — an attempt to delay the sun setting on an incredible 30-year career and energize the masses. But it's not enough to claim NYC as your birthright and expect New Yorkers to show up. Here, trust and loyalty are won the hard way. You have to put the city on your back, elevate it, and actively participate in the culture.

Cardi B made headlines when she donated $100,000 to her old middle school in the Bronx. Fat Joe helped organize a fundraiser for families affected by the 2022 Twin Parks fire, and he's well-known for routinely giving back to the community. And J Lo? Well, that's the thing. She has. In 2014, she announced a partnership with Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx to establish The Center for a Healthy Childhood , which aimed to improve children's health and overall nutrition in the surrounding communities.

But for many of us, the occasional philanthropic stint isn't enough. And the fact that it's been 10 years since her last major contribution to the borough doesn't help Lopez's case. Neither does the fact that she danced her way to an acting career, singing career, and millions of dollars along the way, but she hasn't opened a single dance academy to help others do the same. I think a Jennifer Lopez-branded dance academy in the heart of Castle Hill would be a no-brainer and would help her improve her current standing in the community.

That being said, Lopez isn't obligated to satisfy anyone's expectations but her own. And there are plenty of A-list New Yorkers who do less for their respective boroughs and are subject to far less criticism. At the end of the day, however, Lopez is unique in that she understands and cashes in on the social clout that comes with being from the Bronx. She understands that it distinguishes her from the majority of the Hollywood elite — she's someone who isn't supposed to have a seat at the table, yet now enjoys the same privileges as her silver-spoon counterparts.

I once had a friend tell me that the hood is something no one can take from you. It's hardwired into you, regardless of what you achieve. The lessons the streets teach are lessons for life. I truly believe that. And I'm sure Lopez does, too. In her eyes, she'll always be Jenny from the block, regardless of what any of us have to say.

But I also believe there's no such thing as playing both sides. As someone who has slowly watched their neighborhood disappear because of gentrification and has had the landscape of his memories shift with each passing day, I wish I had the money to do something about it. And if I ever found myself in that position, in a position to give back, I would.

Jennifer Lopez Visits the Kit Kat Club for Broadway Revival of Cabaret (Exclusive)

The singer and actress is starring in the big screen adaptation of another John Kander and Fred Ebb musical, 'Kiss of the Spider Woman'

Luis Suarez for CABARET

Cabaret said “willkommen” to Jennifer Lopez over the weekend!

The superstar singer and actress visited the smash new Broadway revival of John Kander and Fred Ebb’s iconic musical on Saturday, April 13, alongside her longtime manager, Benny Medina .

PEOPLE has an exclusive photo of Lopez, 54, as she posed during intermission with Cabaret’ s creative team — choreographer Julia Cheng, designer Tom Scutt, director Rebecca Frecknall and associate director Jordan Fein.

Her visit comes amid news that the actress is working a Kander and Ebb musical of her own: the film adaptation of Kiss of the Spider Woman . Lopez will star in the movie alongside Andor’ s Diego Luna and Promised Land actor Tonatiuh.

Cabaret follows fictional American writer Clifford Bradshaw and his interactions with the eclectic characters at the seedy Kit Kat Club in Berlin, including the mysterious Emcee and English singer Sally Bowles, whom Clifford strikes up a romance. All the while, the Nazi party is rising to power in Germany, bringing an impending doom on all, especially Bradshaw's German boarding house owner Fräulein Schneider and her suitor, Jewish fruit vendor Herr Schultz.

The revival, now in previews at the August Wilson Theatre in New York City, stars Tony Award winner Eddie Redmayne as the Emcee and Gayle Rankin as Sally Bowles. Ato Blankson-Wood (Clifford), Steven Skybell (Herr) and Tony winner Bebe Neuwirth (Fräulein) round out the principal cast.

Penned by Joe Masteroff, Cabaret is adapted from John Van Druten’s 1951 play I Am a Camera , which in turn was based on the 1939 novel Goodbye to Berlin by Christopher Isherwood. The show first opened on Broadway in 1966 and the West End in 1968. It has enjoyed several revivals since — most recently in 2021 for London and 2014 in New York City — as well as a 1972 movie led by Liza Minnelli and Joel Grey (Broadways original Emcee).

This production comes from London's West End, where it opened in 2021. The show won seven Olivier Awards (the U.K. equivalent of the Tonys) including a trophy for best musical revival and statues for Frecknall, Redmayne and Jessie Buckley, who starred as Sally.

Jenny Anderson

Redmayne, who also produces the Broadway revival, has long said that Cabaret “ properly ignited” his love for theater, while playing the Emcee in a student production of the musical over 25 years ago. “It now feels completely thrilling and a little surreal to be a part of Rebecca's truly unique vision of Masteroff, Kander, and Ebb's brilliance as it arrives on Broadway, where the piece has such a history,” he proclaimed in a statement in October.

Meanwhile, Kander and Ebb are two of the most acclaimed and prolific songwriting duos in Broadway history, with a string of hits including Chicago , Woman of the Year , Steel Pier , The Scottsboro Boys and The Visit. They famously penned the title song for Martin Scorsese’s “New York, New York,” which became the signature song for Frank Sinatra.

Cabaret spawned a string of songs that have become musical theatre mainstays, like “Willkommen,” “Don't Tell Mamma,” “Mein Herr,” “Two Ladies,” “Tomorrow Belongs to Me,” “Money,” “Maybe This Time” and, of course, “Cabaret.”

As for Kiss of the Spider Woman , Kander and Ebb's musical version of Manuel Puig’s landmark 1976 novel — with a book by Terrence McNally — it debuted in the West End in 1993 before opening on Broadway the following year. It went on to win seven Tonys including best musical, trophies for Kander, Ebb and McNally, as well as acting awards for all three principals in the cast: Brent Carver, Anthony Crivello and Chita Rivera.

Oscar winner Bill Condon ( Chicago, Dreamgirls ) will direct Kiss of the Spider Woman . Lopez, Medina and Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas are executive producing through their Nuyorican Productions Banner, alongside others including Ben Affleck and Matt Damon (for Artists Equity).

Puig’s novel was previously adapted for the screen in 1985 by Héctor Babenco. That version was nominated for four Oscars, with William Hurt winning Best Actor.

The musical is set in an Argentinian prison in 1981, and follows two cellmates — department store window dresser Luis Molina (Tonatiuh) and Marxist revolutionary Valentin Arregui (Luna) — as they form an unlikely bond amid the horrors of war. Silver screen diva Ingrid Luna (Lopez) appears to Molina in a film he imagines to pass the time — the actress playing both fashion editor Aurora and the Spider Woman, who kills her prey with a kiss.

A release date for Kiss of the Spider Woman has yet to be announced.

Tickets for Cabaret are now on sale.
