TOUR Championship

ATLANTA — The PGA Tour season concludes at East Lake Golf Club for the Tour Championship this week, as the top 30 players look to take home the FedEx Cup.

Here is everything you need for the Tour Championship: a preview, full TV schedule, streaming schedule, and complete list of first-round tee times.

Tour Championship Information

Where: East Lake Golf Club (Par 70, 7,346 yards)

When: Aug. 24-27th

Purse: $75 million ($18 million to the winner)

Defending Champ: Rory McIlroy

Tour Championship Preview

The final event of the 2023 season is here as the PGA Tour looks to crown a FedEx Cup champion at the Tour Championship. Players will compete for a $75 million purse, where the winner will take home a whopping $18 million.

This week is different from the BMW Championship and FedEx St. Jude Championship. Players start with strokes depending on where they finished on the points standings. Scottie Scheffler will start at 10-under, Viktor Hovland at 8-under, Rory McIlroy at 7-under, Jon Rahm at 6-under and so on.

East Lake Golf Club is a doozy. Multiple par-4s stretch beyond 450 yards, and there are only two par-5s on the course. Keeping it in the fairways will be imperative. Water comes into play on some pivotal holes, so avoiding the penalty areas will be a crucial component to hoisting the FedEx Cup trophy.

McIlroy sits in a strong spot entering the week. Last year, he came from behind and waltzed past Scheffler to win his third FedEx Cup. With nine straight top-9s and his game in form, can the Northern Irishman close it out in Atlanta again?

Scheffler fell short last year, but did he learn his lesson?

Hovland is coming off a historic 61 at Olympia Fields to win the BMW Championship, and he looks dialed in this week. Can he go back-to-back?

Xander Schauffele plays East Lake better than anyone in the field. Only Tiger Woods plays this course better historically. Schauffele won in 2017 and has finished in the top seven in the past six seasons.

So many intriguing storylines are here in Atlanta as the top players in the world will battle it out at East Lake. Of course, they will need to beat the heat too.

2023 tour championship sunday final-round tee times, tv/streaming info, share this article.

It all comes down to this.

One round and 18 holes separate one golfer from winning the 2023 Tour Championship and FedEx Cup Playoffs. And the golfer with the best shot (by far) of winning?

Viktor Hovland.

The 25-year-old from Norway shot 4-under 66 on Saturday at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, moving to 20 under for the tournament. Hovland, who won the BMW Championship last week and the Memorial Tournament earlier in the season, leads by six shots heading into the final round. Xander Schauffele is second at 14 under, and Collin Morikawa and Keegan Bradley are tied for third at 13 under. Six shots matches the largest 54-hole lead on Tour this year.

Last year, Rory McIlroy trailed by six heading to Sunday before chasing down Scottie Scheffler for the FedEx Cup.

From tee times to TV and streaming info, here’s everything you need to know for the final round of the 2023 Tour Championship. All times Eastern.

2023 PGA Championship tee times: Round 2 groupings for Friday

The 2023 PGA Championship continues on Friday morning, May 19, with the second round at Oak Hill Country Club . You can find full Round 2 PGA tee times at the bottom of this post.

Previewing PGA Round 2

When players were meant to be hitting their first shots of the PGA Championship early Thursday morning, a coating of frost was covering Oak Hill’s fairways and greens. As a result, the start of the opening round was delayed by 1 hour and 50 minutes .

The frost delay pushed back everyone’s tee times considerably as well, and several groups in afternoon wave were unable to finish their first rounds before darkness fell in Rochester Thursday evening.

Those players will resume Round 1 play Friday morning at 7 a.m. ET, after which Round 2 will begin as scheduled. Friday’s second-round tee times will be unaffected.

You can stream Friday’s second round via ESPN+ beginning at 7 a.m. ET or watch the TV coverage on ESPN starting at 1 p.m. ET. Browse the complete second-round tee times for the 2023 PGA Championship below.

Scottie Scheffler secured his second Masters Tournament  victory in three years on Sunday, finishing 11 under and four strokes up on his closest competitors.

The 27-year-old American was tied with Ludvig Aberg, Max Homa and Collin Morikawa coming into the eighth hole before the world no. 1 hit three straight birdies to take the lead for good. Aberg ended up placing second in his debut at the Masters.

Scheffler has been ranked No. 1 in the world for more than two years now and also won the 2022 Masters tournament, which was his first major championship win.

The Masters - Final Round

The tournament was marked by unruly weather and at least one history-making moment. Golf icon and returning Masters champion Tiger Woods opened the tournament's last leg with his 100th round at the major.

The Masters Tournament is an invitational event held yearly at the Augusta National Golf Club, a private golf course in Augusta, Georgia. Since its establishment in 1934, the tournament has grown to become one of the four most important championships in men's professional golf. The tournament typically takes place during the first week of April, so they are the first major event of every season, followed by the PGA Championships, the U.S. Open and the Open Championship, which are usually held in May, June and July, respectively.

Scheffler and Morikawa held first and second on the 2024 Masters leaderboard , in that order, heading into the fourth round, on Sunday. They teed off in the afternoon as the last pairing of the day. Xander Schauffele and Bryson DeChambeau also began their play in a featured afternoon slot, with DeChambeau in fifth place on the leaderboard and Schauffele in sixth at the start of the round.

Spanish golfer Jon Rahm , the 29-year-old who won the Masters tournament last year, returned to the course Sunday to defend his title, although his performances during the preceding rounds this weekend meant he was no longer competing to win. Woods had fallen out of contention, too, by the tournament's last day. After making his 24th consecutive cut on Friday, which was a new record at the championship, the star golfer went on to shoot a personal worst during the next and third round. At 48, Woods is a decorated golfing champion with five previous wins at the Masters. He teed off Sunday morning with the 23-year-old amateur Neal Shipley, commencing his 100th Masters round.

Masters Golf

Scheffler will receive a huge cash prize in addition to the traditional green jacket, which is given to the Masters winner each year. The overall purse for the 2024 Masters is $20 million, setting a new record-high and jumping $2 million from last year's prize fund.

The champion this year will receive $3.6 million from the purse, which is also a new record and up from the $3.2 million payout that Rahm received for his Masters win in 2023. What remained of the total $18 million purse in that case was divided among 50 golfers who participated in the tournament, with their individual scores determining how much prize money they were eventually awarded.

2024 Masters tee times, pairings: Complete field, schedule, groups for Round 4 on Sunday at Augusta National

There are some interesting pairings ahead, so don't miss a single tee time as the 88th masters reaches its conclusion.

tee-shot-masters-r3-2024-scheffler-g.jpg

It all comes down to this. The final round of the 2024 Masters features a number of star-studded pairings, including the many names that occupy the first page of the leaderboard. Scottie Scheffler holds the 54-hole lead for the second time in the last three Masters and has eyes on capturing his second green jacket -- and the largest portion of the Masters' prize money allotment from a record $20 million purse -- in that same span.

In order to do so, the world No. 1 will need to fend off another 27-year-old in Collin Morikawa. The two major champions will bring up the rear at Augusta National on Sunday at 2:35 p.m. ET in the final pairing. Up ahead in the penultimate pairing are two players without major championships but with plenty of game. Follow  Masters live leaderboard coverage  throughout the final round on Sunday for scores, analysis and highlights.

Fan-favorite Max Homa and Swedish superstar Ludvig Åberg are still firmly in contention to slip on the green jacket. They will play alongside one another at 2:25 p.m. Both are looking for their first green jacket, but Åberg is seeking to become the first golfer in history to win the Masters in his major championship debut.

Rounding out the list of contenders are a couple of Americans in Bryson DeChambeau and Xander Schauffele, who will begin the final round at 2:15 p.m. And while the Masters will ultimately come down to the final few pairings, there are still a number of players still worth watching. Defending champion Jon Rahm draws good friend Tony Finau. Rory McIlroy goes off with Joaquin Niemann, who needs a solid finish to secure an invitation back next year. And low amateur Neal Shipley joins and Tiger Woods as the 15-time major champion hopes to bounce back in his 100th round at the Masters.

Watch the 2024 Masters live on CBS from 2-7 p.m. ET and streaming all day Sunday with  Masters Live  as we follow the best golfers in the world through Augusta National with  Featured Groups , check in at the famed  Amen Corner  and see leaders round the turn on  holes 15 & 16 . Watch live on  CBSSports.com , the  CBS Sports app  and  Paramount+ .

Masters 2024 tee times: Sunday's Round 4 pairings at Augusta National

/content/dam/images/golfdigest/fullset/2024/4/masters-2024-eighth-tee.jpg

AUGUSTA, Ga. — So who wants to win a green jacket? That’s what’s on the line Sunday at Augusta National as the final round of the Masters plays out.

Awaiting the winner is not only the most sought after sportscoat in golf, but the chance to forever call yourself a major champion. It’s what certainly almost every player in the field has dreamt about—literally. And there are several interesting contenders hoping it’s their day. One in particular who already has a green jacket, another who has two major victories, but neither was the Masters. Then there are a host of others looking for their first major clip.

They'll be in the final pairing of the day, going off at 2:35 p.m. ET. Max Homa, Ludvig Aberg, Xander Schauffele, Cam Davis and Nicolai Hojgaard are in contention, all looking for a major. Bryson DeChambeau is the only other major winner near the top. He's four shots behind Scheffler.
