This is a very large truck stop--not a bad thing since it's the only stop for miles along the freeway. The parking lot can accommodate several cars and trucks, and there are enough gas pumps to handle a midday rush. There's even a pet area outside the picnic area for people traveling with animals. The interior is massive with plenty of walking room between aisles and the main walkway. There are several rows of gift shop merch, knives/swords, post cards, literature, clothes, etc. It's difficult to say if the Native American themed items are mass produced or if it's crafted by local indigenous people. If there was a sign advertising this, I didn't see it. Surprisingly though, the gifts were well priced, especially for a truck stop. There is a small historical display beside an arcade and giant stuffed displays. It's cool seeing the pieces of Oregon history mixed with the decor. There is a good selection of snacks and chilled food. On the other end of the truck stop is a rather large McDonald's with kiosks for easy ordering. Biggest complaint is the lack of cleanliness. The restrooms weren't well stocked or maintained. Also, for as many customers that were at this location, there didn't seem to be much staff in terms of service. There were two people behind the counter but only one open register while the line stretched a little long. Overall though, not a bad experience.

This is one of my favorite truck stops, I Stop here whenever I can. Plenty of parking, nice store and the people who work here are always nice and helpful.

I was here on 1-08-24 for my 32 hour reset. Was very good. Parking was large clean and safe . Inside the store they have clean shower /restroom/laundry and a drivers Den. Great coffee and more. Fuel prices were also good!

This is a quite nice travel mart / gas fill up stop. They have a large convenience store that is very roomy, large bathrooms that are kept clean, and an attached McDonalds as well. It is always busy, but built large enough to handle the crowd.

Photo of Emily Z.

This place is amazing. It has almost everything you need. From car necessities to snacks, to hot ready food, cold drinks and gifts! They even have some arcade games and insanely clean bathrooms! Prices were ideal. It's definitely a must stop.

Photo of Joel W.

The gas is the cheapest you can find for a long drive. They have a lot of different merchandise there. It's definitely worth a stop!

Photo of Audra D.

Friendly employees. Excellent coffee. Large clean parking lot with ample parking. Clean restrooms. Large selection of snacks and trinkets and personal protection items. I bookmarked if for future trips. I'd prefer here over Love/Pilot and flying J. The diesel price was also much better here.

Photo of Joe S.

I bought way too much here! There's plenty to look at , from ninja stars to jewelry to clothing. I got here at the perfect time to watch the warriors vs Celtics in the drivers lounge. The reclining chairs were great... although it would had been better if the Celtics won the championship! Everyone was very friendly and the place was very clean! The laundry facility looked good and the loads were about $1.50 each. Plenty of truck parking at around 1530 on a Thursday. I will most definitely come here every time I'm in the area. Park your truck and take a little walk to the movie theater inside the casino!

travel center pendleton oregon

Stopped to get fuel and the sign said $4.99 for diesel on the freeway, but the pumps were $5.39.

Visit Pendleton

Surrounded by the best of Oregon’s natural beauty, Pendleton combines a long lineage of traditional Western heritage with the modern food and culture trends that the state has garnered a name for. This mountain town, in the north of Oregon, is a popular destination for those wanting to discover the stories of the “Wild West.” Hike in the dense old growth forests and enjoy an evening tasting craft beer and homely food. With a rich history of agricultural industries, including cattle farming, wool production, leather craft and fishing, Pendleton is a true rural town and a great place to get back to nature.

Rent a bike or set off on foot to see the key historic sites in the compact heart of town. Attractions include the Pendleton Woolen Mills and the site of the Pendleton Round-Up, one of the largest rodeos in the world. The event is held annually in September. Visit a traditional leather and saddle shop to see handmade items that are characteristic of the Oregon area. Attend a performance by the local symphony or spend an afternoon at the Tamástslikt Cultural Institute, the only Native American museum in the region.

By night join the locals at a pub or sit down for a steak from one of the local ranches. Breweries in Oregon have spearheaded America’s craft beer culture and Pendleton is a great place to try some local brews.

Explore the region surrounding the town for great hiking, fishing and climbing. Rent a car from within the town to head to the Wallowa Mountains, the Painted Hills and Hells Canyon for stunning views and a diverse range of flora and fauna. See the John Day Fossil Beds, a national monument, to see the vibrant colored rock faces.

Located 4 hours from Portland’s International Airport, Pendleton can be reached by car, bus or train. Once you’re in the town you’ll find a wide range of accommodation, ranging from camping right through to family-friendly hotels. Pendleton can be visited year-round but experiences cold winters so come prepared for all the fun activities to enjoy in the snow.
