Now, let’s talk about the dry performance of the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour tires .

You know how it feels to drive on a dry, dusty road in the middle of summer, right? The heat, the glare, and the dust can all make for a challenging driving experience . Well, when it comes to dry performance, (and here’s the fun part of our Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour review 😎) these tires really know how to show off!

They offer fantastic traction on dry surfaces, making sure you feel confident behind the wheel. These tires just stick to the road , you know? They offer a really firm grip, ensuring your vehicle doesn’t skid or slide unexpectedly. So whether you’re making a quick stop at a traffic light or taking that sharp turn around the corner, the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour tires have got your back!

Plus, their construction helps them to maintain their shape in the heat, keeping your ride smooth and comfortable, even on those long summer road trips. And if you’re worried about wear and tear on dry surfaces, these tires aim to last, making them a solid choice for those hot, dry conditions.

So, there you have it! In terms of dry surface performance, our Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour review gives a big thumbs up! 🙌

Think about those rainy days when the roads are slick and shiny with water. Navigating can be tricky, right? Well, this is where the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour tires step in and say, “Don’t worry, we’ve got this!

One of the standout features (and probably my favorite thing to talk about in this Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour review) is how superbly these tires perform on wet and slippery roads.

They are built with wide circumferential grooves and full-depth sipes. Imagine these features working like a super-effective water management system , siphoning off water from under the tire. This reduces the risk of hydroplaning and keeps the tire firmly glued to the road , even when it’s wet.

So, you’re thinking, “That’s great, but what does it mean for me, the driver?” Well, here’s the kicker. With the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour tires, you can expect a confident and safe ride during those torrential thunderstorms or unexpected showers.

And the best part? These tires not only offer great wet traction, but they do so without compromising comfort. You’ll still enjoy a smooth, comfortable ride, regardless of the weather.

So, in case you had any doubts about how these tires perform on wet and slippery roads, this part of our Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour review just sorted it out, didn’t it? These tires handle the wet just as effortlessly as they do the dry! ☔🌧️

Let’s chat about the performance of the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour tires in snow and winter conditions.

Now, winter driving can be positively challenging, right? Those frosty roads, unexpected snow showers, ice patches – they all demand a tire that can keep up! So, how does our star – the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour – fare in these conditions?

While these tires aren’t specifically classified as winter tires, they do offer decent traction in light to moderate snow conditions. The tread design and the flexible rubber compound used in these tires help maintain traction, facilitating a safer, more manageable driving experience. So for those flurries or light snowfalls, these tires should hold their own pretty capably.

But, and here comes the crucial point, in heavy snow and more severe winter conditions, you might find the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour tires not performing as effectively. Their traction in deep snow and grip on icy surfaces may not be as striking as some dedicated winter tires . This is something you’ll want to keep in mind if you live in an area where winters can get particularly severe.

All in all, if we’re talking occasional light to moderate snow conditions, the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour tires can be a reliable choice . But for those hardcore winter scenarios, you may want to consider winter-specific tires .

And that covers our chat on the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour and its winter performance. Snowy roads can be a tough battleground, but these tires bring a fair game to the table! ❄️👍🏼

Sure thing! Let’s dive into the off-road capabilities of the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour.

When you think about off-road driving, it’s all about rough terrains, mud, rocks, right? These tires are considered all-season , touring tires which means they’re primarily built for highway and city driving, offering smooth, comfortable rides on paved roads.

However, this doesn’t mean they can’t handle a bit of off-road action now and then. For light off-roading like gravel, dirt roads, or a bit of grass, the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour tires should fare well. Their tread design can hold up to such conditions without significant issues.

But here’s the catch – for more challenging off-road conditions like deep mud , rocky paths, and steep inclines, these might not be the best choice. They simply are not designed for heavy-duty off-road driving. If that’s something you do frequently or plan to do, you might want to consider buying dedicated off-road or all-terrain tires instead.

In conclusion, the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour can handle a bit of off-road adventure – but within limits. It’s more like a city dweller who likes a comfortable weekend getaway to the countryside, not a hardcore mountain explorer. 🏞️🚗

Now let’s discuss something every driver is concerned about – road noise and ride comfort. So, how does the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour tire perform on these counts?

Road noise can be a real deal breaker, right? We’ve all experienced those tires that hum, buzz, or even roar as you speed up. It’s hardly ideal, especially on long trips when all you want is a peaceful journey.

Well, from what I’ve seen in the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour reviews, these bad boys seem to nail it when it comes to keeping noise levels down. The tire has been designed to reduce noise, meaning you can expect a quieter ride compared to many tires in the market. So whether you’re heading down the freeway or zipping along country lanes, these tires should keep the ruckus to a minimum!

And what about comfort? This is where things get even better… 💺🛣️

When you’re out on the road, comfort is king. Bumps, vibrations, and little jolts can make any journey tiring, and the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour understands that. With a comfortable ride being one of its top features, these tires handle most road imperfections nicely. They absorb a good deal of shocks and vibrations you might come across, which results in a smoother ride . So you can sit back, relax and enjoy your journey.

In short, if you value a smooth, quiet ride, the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour delivers. They’re all about keeping you cozy on the road, without that annoying roadside symphony! 😌👌

Fuel efficiency is surely a critical factor in our tire choices, considering the growing emphasis on eco-friendliness and saving money at the pump. So let’s explore how the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour tires perform when it comes to fuel efficiency.

These tires are designed with an optimized tread compound that aids in reducing rolling resistance. What does that mean for you and me? Well, when rolling resistance is kept in check, your vehicle uses less energy to move, which in turn translates to better fuel efficiency. Good news for our wallets and the environment! 💵🌎

However, it’s important to remember that your driving style, vehicle maintenance, and road conditions can all also affect fuel efficiency. So while these tires may contribute to better gas mileage, make sure you’re doing your part too by maintaining correct tire pressure and driving responsibly.

In summary, the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour tires do offer a respectable level of fuel efficiency, making them a solid contender in the fuel-saving tire game . Gas stations might just miss seeing you quite so often! 😉⛽️

Maintenance indicators on tires are helpful tools that let you know when it’s time to take action. So, how does the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour equip you on this front?

These tires feature what’s known as DuraShield® construction . This offers several visual cues to help you monitor tire wear, so you can ensure they are always in optimal condition.

The tread wear indicators (those small raised sections spaced out in the bottom of tread grooves) are your key allies here. When the tire wears down to a point where these indicators are flush with the surrounding tread, it’s a clear sign that your tire tread depth has reached 2/32 of an inch – the point at which you should replace your tires.

These tires are also designed to wear evenly when properly inflated , which helps prolong their life and maintain performance. But remember, to take full benefit from this, you’ll need to rotate your tires regularly. This is the case with most tires, but double-checking your owner’s manual or consulting with a tire professional is always a fantastic idea.

In summary, the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour offers clear maintenance indicators to take the guesswork out of tire maintenance. No more worrying about when to replace or service them. They will tell you when it’s time! 🚘🔧

Great question! A run-flat tire can continue to perform even after losing all air pressure, which can be a massive plus during unexpected punctures. But, is the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour a run-flat tire ?

The answer here is no , the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country is not classified as a run-flat tire .

What this means for you as a driver is that in the event of a puncture, the tire wouldn’t be able maintain structural integrity and you would likely need to immediately slow down and come to a safe stop as soon as possible. Continuing to drive on a punctured tire that isn’t a run-flat could lead to further damage to the tire and potentially to the vehicle as well.

While not having run-flat capabilities might seem like a disadvantage in some cases, remember that run-flat tires tend to be pricier and may not offer as comfortable a ride as standard tires. There’s always a trade-off!

In conclusion, the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour might not help you keep going after a sudden puncture, but they make up for it with other great features like excellent wet traction, comfortable ride, and decent off-roading capacity.🚙🔧

The tread life of a tire refers to how long the tire’s tread is expected to last. The Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour tires generally score reasonably well when it comes to treadwear. The warranty is a clear demonstration of the confidence Uniroyal has in the performance of their Laredo Cross Country Tour tires . With proper maintenance and use, they’re designed to provide you with reliable service for many, many miles.

Please bear in mind, though, every manufacturer’s warranty may differ slightly and is subject to change, so it’s always best to confirm specifics at the time of purchasing. After all, warranty coverage is as essential as the tire itself!

Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour Review: Test Drive

The Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour is one of those tires which intend to capture the budget segment of the market. Despite offering all-season utility, this model’s meager asking price attracts the vehicle owner on a budget. However, as is the case with anything that you can avail at a competitive price, corners have been cut to keep this model’s price low.

When Michelin were announcing the release of this tire in 2011, their spokesperson claimed that it is capable of giving a nice, quiet highway ride, the stability of a passenger car and responsive handling on difficult terrains.

Since we have heard these sort of claims hundreds, if not thousands, of times before from manufacturers eager to sell their produce, we did what we always do to gauge the truthfulness behind them: we took the Uniroyal Laredo for a test-drive.

Treadwear and Durability

At the cost of sounding technical, it’s the computer-optimized tread design of this tire which allows it to keep premature wear at bay. This design consists of independent treads that evenly distribute the tire’s weight, thereby dissipating any wear-causing pressure.

Next comes the Tru-Form technology which has supplemented this tire’s tread with a stress-tested contact patch, whose only job is to promote even tread wear throughout the shelf-life of this model. Hence the reason why this tire maintains its optimal shape throughout its life.

Dry Performance

Even before we took this tire out for a test ride, we knew its performance on paved roads and the dry tarmac was going to be above par. We were aware of it because of this tire’s T-speed rating – one which allows it to sustain a constant speed of 119mph over a long period of time.

Provided you haven’t been living under a cave before coming to this article, you’d know that a vehicle can only achieve, let alone sustain, this kind of breakneck speed on a fully paved road without any potholes or any other disturbances which might force it to slow down.

However, that doesn’t mean that this model’s braking power is suspect. It has a solid center rib that uses its center of gravity to give the driver improved control (braking) and stability on high-speeds. So you aren’t going to encounter any problem during cornering, either.

Wet Performance

As is the case with most all-season tires, the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour reserves its best performance for wet roads. Perhaps that’s because Michelin knows that when a driver invests in a tire which they expect to perform 365-days a year, they won’t be taking it on dry tarmac too often.

The Uniroyal Laredo, though, won’t mind if you drive it into deep puddles. It comes with wide circumferential grooves which not only absorb off-road shocks but also offer effective water evacuation – thereby keeping the threat of hydroplaning at bay.

Provided you don’t know about it, hydroplaning is when your car starts sliding uncontrollably. It happens when motor water is accumulating in the tires that the treads can displace. Luckily for you, the wide circumferential grooves of this unit won’t push you face-to-face with this dangerous phenomenon.

Snow & Ice

Two features of this tire, in particular, give you the confidence to ride it in inclement weather conditions, the first of which is its wide circumferential grooves whose utility we have already discussed in detail while examining the performance of the Uniroyal Laredo in wet conditions.

Its all-season tread pattern, however, has been escaping our attention thus far. What this pattern does is offer the tire with more traction points and open tread grooves. Both these are parts responsible for maintaining the tire’s grip on the road, thereby providing a strong grip on snow-laded roads.

Noise and Comfort

As long as you’re driving on a paved road, the computer-optimized tread pattern of this model will provide you with a comfortable and quiet highway ride. That’s because it has a narrow continuous center rib which not only keeps premature wear at bay but also reduces the tire’s noise.

However, the moment you go off-the-highway, you should brace yourself for a noisy experience. Perhaps that was because of the road we were traveling on – as it was full of potholes. Still, this all-season tire is one of the noisiest on bad roads.

Available in 15 to 20-inch sizes and with a warranty that extends all the way up to 60,000 miles, the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour is an all-season budget tire. It provides solid all-season traction, brilliant handling of wet and snow-covered surfaces and has an impressive tread life. Provided you have no problem with its noise on difficult terrains, it might turn out to be a shrewd buy.

  • Excellent all-season traction
  • High-end wet grip
  • Impressive speed rating
  • Solid tread life
  • Noisy on difficult terrains

Review summary.

Considering our research of the test results, we would recommend the Uniroyal Laredo tires only as a budget-friendly option for cross-country touring tires. While performing decently in all categories, except for braking on wet roads and overall handling, it didn't outperform the competing tires in any category.

It does well with grip on dry pavement, cornering traction, and steering capabilities. However, it needs a significant boost in grip on wet roads and slalom timing. The noise is tolerable but compared to the other tires in the tests, the Laredo tires were considerably noisier at high speeds on the highway.

The overall ride quality is balanced, but it's not as smooth as the other tires. Nonetheless, it is comparable to the other tires and is a suitable selection for SUVs and other light trucks for the price.

  • Excellent grip on dry roads
  • Can handle off-road terrain
  • Good handling capabilities
  • Long tread lifespan
  • It can be noisy at high speeds
  • Needs better traction on wet roads

Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour Overview

If you have an SUV or a light truck, you might consider the Laredo Cross Country Tour tires by Uniroyal to give you a little bit of everything on the road. These all-season tires have long tread life and good road manners. They’re versatile, and you get light snow traction as well.

For a comfortable ride, the manufacturers have molded a five-rib pattern that minimizes noise when driving and makes for a smoother ride. The center rib is continuous, which means that the steering response is stable, and you always feel in control when braking.

The block design in these tires is solid, and it encourages even tread wear and better cornering traction in wet or dry conditions.

There are four circumferential grooves on the tires that are wide enough to evacuate water and resist hydroplaning. Additionally, the lateral notches make slush removal a breeze in the winter.

Consumers have mentioned that the tires are very durable, and they appreciate the internal construction design with a polyester casing with nylon reinforcement. Overall, this is a budget-friendly option if you want basic handling capabilities on and off the road.

Performance Breakdown

The Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour tires were compared to the Cooper Endeavor Plus tires and the Kumho Crugen HP71 tires as two other top contenders in the Cross Country Tour All-Season category. We’ll give you the results specifically for Uniroyal tires and then a breakdown comparison between the three models.

Performance

According to tire tests performed by tirerack.com, the overall performance of the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour tires is reasonably high in several performance categories. Compared to the competition, it ranks last in every category.

Nonetheless, if you’re not looking for exquisite on and off-road handling capabilities, you may be interested in the Uniroyal tires because though not exceptional, they are acceptable in all categories. Overall, these tires have well-balanced on-road characteristics.

The wide grooves in the tires can absorb some of the shocks when driving off-road or through puddles, which helps to evacuate the water and avoid hydroplaning. However, according to the test results and the consumer reviews, these tires are severely lacking in wet traction and grip.

Customers that live in areas where it rains a lot say that they wouldn’t purchase the tires again because of the sliding when braking and the noise on wet pavement.

The Uniroyal tires have good steering and braking on dry roads, with an excellent grip that makes you feel confident even when driving off-road. It can handle mud and rocky terrain to an extent and doesn’t present shaking or an unsteady ride.

When driving around corners, the tires handle acceleration and deceleration with ease, but some consumer reviews noted that they’d like a bit more stability when coming to a rapid stop on dry roads.

The steering featured by the Laredo Cross Country Tour was responsive initially; however, it would overwhelm the available traction in the front axle, and it would cause it to understeer. The Laredo Cross Country Tour doesn’t have the requisite performance to deal with thicker ice and heavier snow.

Braking Distance

The braking distance of the Laredo Cross Country Tour was a total of 48.9 feet to come to a complete stop.

However, the Laredo Cross Country Tour was a balanced and acceptable performer without any major faults, but the tire didn’t reach the level of the other two tires, which were more refined.

When using the Uniroyal, bumps were a bit more apparent. This happened not because the tires hit considerably harder than the other tires but because the bumps would unsettle the car more noticeably. That will ultimately make the ride feel more coarse.

Noise and Comfort

As it pertains to noise characteristics, the tire performed well. Notably, the tire had an audible interaction between the road and the tread when making turns or when taking an off-ramp or on-ramp, but it is overall stable.

Additionally, the tire made slightly more noise over all surfaces. It’s safe to say that if you drive on paved roads mostly, the computer-optimized tread pattern of this tire will facilitate a quiet, comfortable ride.

Furthermore, the narrow continuous center rib is a design that not only insulates the tire against premature wear but also reduces tire noise significantly. On the other hand, if you venture off-road, you will endure one of the noisiest drives for all-season tires.

The durability of this tire is owed to its computer-optimized tread design, which insulates against premature wear. The design is engineered to evenly distribute the weight of the tire by using two independent treads and effectively dissipating pressure that could cause additional wear.

There’s a 60,000 mile or 6-year tread warranty on the Laredo Cross Country Tour. The tire uniformity is guaranteed for the first 2/32 inches of wear or one year.

Moreover, workmanship and materials are guaranteed for 6-years; this includes a free replacement for the first 2/32 inch of wear or the first year. During the remaining time period, a prorated amount is given or down to turn the last 2/32 inch of tread depth.

Depending on the particular size and model of the Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour, prices can range from $97 to $156. It’s possible to find discount prices, special offers, coupons, and rebates on this tire.

That makes it an affordable option that many users report is fair given the quality of the tires. Based on the durability of the tires and the low treadwear, the tires are a solid option in this category.

Recommendations & comparisons

Through our testing, we’ve observed that the Cooper Endeavor Plus is both dependable and balanced. The tire offers a very nice ride on the road—it’s composed and well-damped, facilitating a smooth ride, and it has good noise quality to boot. The feel of the steering is noteworthy and stands out from the rest of the competition, and its test for wet traction leads the competition as well.

Moreover, when it comes to the snow, it tested as best in this category as well. This tire offers the best all-around performance at a price of $111-$245—the most expensive but the performing tire.

On another note, the Kumho Crugen HP71 performed excellently on the road. The ride is smooth, and the sound quality is good, especially when you consider the category. The wet traction was satisfactory and finished in the middle of the pack in regards to this category.

The steering is quick; however, an improvement in its light snow traction will go a long way to further balance the tire. The price for this tire begins at $104 and can be as much as $213; these prices are fair, and the tire will surely provide you with quality road performance.

The Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour is slightly behind the other tires in terms of performance. The ride is less controlled and a little softer, and there is slightly more tread noise that could be noticeable for some drivers.

Moreover, the light snow traction and the wet traction can benefit from sizable improvements if the goal is to compete with the stronger performers in the Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tires section, which go for $100-$150.

Conclusions

The Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour tire is a tire that performed well enough to be recommended to drivers who want a solid tire that’s more on the inexpensive side. This tire wasn’t leaps and bounds behind the competition; it performed slightly worse in most categories while providing serviceable performance at a fair price.

However, the Cooper Endeavor Plus is both dependable and balanced. This tire was the best in every way, and if money isn’t much of an obstacle, then this tire comes highly recommended.

Uniroyal Tires: Are They Any Good? (+15 Brands Compared)

Founded in 1892, Uniroyal (formerly United States Rubber Company) is a wholly owned brand of Michelin (in Peru, Columbia, and North America) and Continental (in Europe).

How good are Uniroyal tires? Are they worth the money?

uniroyal tires

Why Buy Uniroyal Tires?

Uniroyal is a name with extensive brand loyalty, but people buy the tires because:

  • High quality and dependable.
  • Innovative early adopters of new technology.
  • Excellent traction.
  • All season performance.
  • Affordable.

Most drivers value a consistent driving experience in all conditions, and Uniroyal delivers that dependable handling performance.

Who Makes Uniroyal Tires?

Although a global brand, Uniroyal tires has a split personality.

In the Americas, Michelin is the ultimate owner, and it manufactures Uniroyal tires all over the USA. In other parts of the world, Continental owns and manufactures Uniroyal tires.

The tire is budget-friendly, known as an “American” brand, and tends to fit older cars. As a nod to the history of the tire, most tires feature “tiger” in the title.

The tires perform well; the prices are low, and you can buy the tires online and in dealerships.

Uniroyal Warranty

You get a manufacturer’s six-year warranty for defects related to useable tread remaining on the tire.

For most tires, you also get a mileage warranty in line with industry standards at between 50,000 and 75,000 miles.

Individuals don’t seem motivated to comment on Uniroyal tire performance, but tire reviewers tend to award 3.5 out of five stars. The overall feeling is that the performance is good but not startlingly excellent.

Uniroyal tire’s selling point is affordability with durability and a safe ride.

Uniroyal Tire Recommendations

For typical vehicles, the Uniroyal tire recommendations are:

Uniroyal tire specifications:

Uniroyal Comparisons with Other Brands

For comparison with other brands using the recommended tire for a Toyota RAV4 (Tiger Paw Touring A/S) and a Ford 150 (Laredo Cross Country Tour), although the Tiger Paw A/S fits all vehicles.

#1 Uniroyal vs. Michelin

Comparing the Tiger Paw Touring AS with the Cross Climate 2 for crossover SUVs:

The Uniroyal tire is considerably cheaper than the Michelin. The durability (as shown by the warranty) is not too dissimilar. The Michelin tire offers above average handling and is a quieter tire than Uniroyal.

Comparing the Laredo Cross Country Tour with the Defender LTX for pickup trucks:

The Uniroyal is significantly cheaper and offers similar durability. You expect better handling from the Michelin, but neither tire is suitable for off-road or severe winter.

#2 Uniroyal vs. Firestone

Comparing the Tiger Paw Touring AS with the Firestone All Season for SUVs:

The Uniroyal is significantly cheaper ($60 or more), while the Firestone tire offers better than average wet braking.

Comparing the Laredo Cross Country Tour with the Destination LE3 for pickup trucks:

You save money with the Uniroyal, and the performance is not excessively different from the Firestone equivalent.

#3 Uniroyal vs. Goodyear

Comparing the Tiger Paw Touring AS with the Assurance All Season for SUVs: Comparable price and performance, so the Goodyear is a better buy than the Uniroyal.

Comparing the Laredo Cross Country Tour with the Wrangler TrailRunner AT for pickup trucks:

The Uniroyal tire is at least $50 cheaper, but the Goodyear tire can cost twice as much. Goodyear offers an all-terrain tire and better performance than the Uniroyal.

#4 Uniroyal vs. Continental

Comparing the Tiger Paw Touring AS with the Continental All Season Contact for SUVs: Comparable price, the Continental offers better wet grip braking, but the Uniroyal is more durable.

Comparing the Laredo Cross Country Tour with the Viking Contact 7 for pickup trucks:

Similar prices, but the Continental tire is a winter tire and the Uniroyal isn’t. In this case, you probably want to assess your seasonal needs and adopt a tire swap when necessary.

#5 Uniroyal vs. Cooper

Comparing the Tiger Paw Touring AS with the Cooper Endeavor Plus for SUVs: Comparable performance to the Cooper tire, but you pay less for Uniroyal.

Comparing the Laredo Cross Country Tour with the Discover AT3 for pickup trucks:

You pay more than the Uniroyal tire and get a similar performance, but the Cooper tire is better on dirt and gravel tracks.

#6 Uniroyal vs. Yokohama

Comparing the Tiger Paw Touring AS with the Advan Fleva V701 for SUVs:

In some cases, the Yokohama may cost less than the Uniroyal and has better performance. The Uniroyal is an all-season tire, whereas the Yokohama tire is only for summer months and a warm climate.

Comparing the Laredo Cross Country Tour with the Geolandar A/T G015 for pickup trucks:

You may pay the same, more, or less money for the Yokohama tire. The advantages of the Yokohama tire are winter handling (3PMSF rating) and off-road performance. On the highway, there is little or no difference to the Uniroyal.

#7 Uniroyal vs. Hankook

Comparing the Tiger Paw Touring AS with the Ventus S1 EVO3 for SUVs:

The Uniroyal tire offers significant savings, while the Hankook tire provides additional safety with run-on-flat technology, a quieter tire, and excellent fuel efficiency.

Comparing the Laredo Cross Country Tour with the Dynapro AT2 for pickup trucks:

You will pay twice as much for the Hankook tire, but you can enjoy better performance, less noise, and off-road adventures.

#8 Uniroyal vs. Falken

Comparing the Tiger Paw Touring AS with the Ziex ZE950 for crossover SUVs: You spend at least $70 less on a Uniroyal tire, but the Falken is a better performer.

Comparing the Laredo Cross Country Tour with the WildPeak A/T for pickup trucks: You pay more for Falken tires and gain off-road capability and enhanced winter handling.

#9 Uniroyal vs. Nexen

Comparing the Tiger Paw Touring AS with the Roadian GTX for SUVs: The Nexen tire costs more (around $70) but offers similar durability and better performance compared to the Uniroyal.

Comparing the Laredo Cross Country Tour with the Roadian MTX for pickup trucks: You pay double for the Nexen tire, and in exchange, you get excellent off-road driving but comparable performance to the Uniroyal on the road.

#10 Uniroyal vs. Kumho

Comparing the Tiger Paw Touring AS with the Crugen HP71 for crossover SUVs: You pay more for Kumho, but the tire performs better than average compared to Uniroyal.

Comparing the Laredo Cross Country Tour with the Road Venture AT52 for pickup trucks:

You pay considerably more for the Kumho tire but get a better performing tire that takes you off-road and through all four seasons if you have snowy winters; the Uniroyal has a better warranty, however.

#11 Uniroyal vs. Kelly

Comparing the Tiger Paw Touring AS with the Kelly Ege AS for SUVs: The prices are around the same, but the Uniroyal tire offers the same or better performance and greater durability than the Kelly rubber.

Comparing the Laredo Cross Country Tour with the Kelly Edge HT for pickup trucks: For less money than the Kelly tire, you get a comparable performance from Uniroyal.

#12 Uniroyal vs. Pirelli

Comparing the Tiger Paw Touring AS with the Scorpion Verde for SUVs:

Depending on the tire, you may get the better performing Pirelli tire for the same or less money than the Uniroyal. Pirelli gives you run-on-flat technology and sustainable materials.

Comparing the Laredo Cross Country Tour with the Scorpion ATR for pickup trucks:

You pay more for the Pirelli tire and can go off-road with slightly better overall performance, while the Uniroyal tire offers better durability with a longer treadwear warranty.

#13 Uniroyal vs. Toyo

Comparing the Tiger Paw Touring AS with the Celcisu CUV for crossover SUVs:

You save with Uniroyal, and the performance isn’t too dissimilar. However, the Toyo tire offers better winter handling with a 3PMSF rating.

Comparing the Laredo Cross Country Tour with the Open Country AT III for pickup trucks:

You pay more for the Toyo tire than the Uniroyal, but in exchange, you can go off-road and have a robust tire with self-cleaning tread blocks for enhanced durability.

#14 Uniroyal vs. BF Goodrich

Comparing the Tiger Paw Touring AS with the Avantage T/A for SUVs:

You save at least $60 with Uniroyal. For the higher price, the BF Goodrich tire offers a 3PMSF rating and less rolling noise.

Comparing the Laredo Cross Country Tour with the Trail Terrain T/A for pickup trucks:

You will pay more for the BF Goodrich tire for all terrain driving and better handling in snowy conditions. Otherwise, BF Goodrich’s performance and durability are comparable to the Uniroyal.

If you mainly drive your pickup truck on the highway, the Uniroyal tire will give you an excellent performance with more money in your pocket.

#15 Uniroyal vs. Hercules Tire

Comparing the Uniroyal Tiger Paw Touring AS with the Hercules Roadtour Connect PVC for SUVs:

Hercules is a budget brand, but you will save money by opting for Uniroyal. You get comparable performance, but the Hercules tire may offer enhanced fuel efficiency with its optimized tread pattern.

Comparing the Uniuroyal Laredo Cross Country Tour with the Hercules Terra Trac HPT for pickup trucks:

The Uniroyal tire is cheaper and performs as well, if not better than the Hercules Tire.

Alternatives to Uniroyal

Uniroyal is a budget tire, but there are cheaper alternatives, most notably the budget tire brand Douglas tires.

Other tires that may cost less include Nexen , Kelly , and Ironman Tires.

Uniroyal offers an excellent treadwear warranty; tires with enhanced treadwear warranties include Nokian and Bridgestone .

Can You Buy Uniroyal Tires Cheaper?

Uniroyal is a budget brand, and the only way to buy them more cheaply is to shop around and look for bargains online or in the sale.

Typically, the Uniroyal price is consistent throughout the year.

Uniroyal are no-frills, consistent tires with excellent durability for a budget price.

If you don’t need tires to trek across the country but want safe tires with excellent durability, you could do a lot worse than Uniroyal.
