Our guide was great and interacted well with the group. He had lots of animal knowledge and found us some great animals. Our transport was a van but it made it there and back and wasn't too bad for game viewing. Plenty of space for the 6 of us. Accommodation is a basic tent with bed and mossie net but was all we really needed. Meals were good and there was always plenty. While the trip is advertised as 4 days, it's only 3. I would have enjoyed having an extra day to spend in the Mara.

We loved the variety of this tour - safari by vehicle, hot air balloon, bike, boat, and foot. The accommodations ranged from basic to good, so this tour is best for those who don’t need luxury accommodations, which we did not. The food was always very good and plentiful. We had 2 guides - Nathan and Tony, and both were excellent. They were friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and good drivers. The optional tours need to be updated on the description of the tour, as inflation has caused an increase in prices. The hot air balloon safari was $450/pp (a wonderful experience with a nice champagne picnic breakfast afterwards). The Massai village visit was $25/pp. We recommend both. Bring lots of cash for drinks, souvenirs, and tipping. We underestimated and ran out, but our guide made a stop at a bank for us to get more. Good communication and customer service from the tour company as well. Overall an incredible vacation. We will be back in Kenya in the future and would definitely use this company again.

We hired a vehicle and driver through John, CKC, both organized by John. We booked the service before leaving Australia. John maintained contact with us throughout. He was able to secure our driver/guide, George, who was fantastic. The vehicle was very comfortable. We visited Tsavo East, on a private tour, quite a drive away from Nairobi. We considered a self-drive, but very pleased we didn't. George was amazing in the madness of Kenyan highway driving. We'd have no hesitation in recommending CKC and John if you are considering a private tour of Kenya. Excellent value for money.

5 Days Kenya medium range safari for Amboseli and Tsavo Parks from Nairobi to Mombasa

I would highly recommend CKC Tours. John responded to all our queries promptly and went back and forth until we had an itinerary we were happy with. We were then met by John at the airport and given all the documentation for our trip which included lodges at Masai Mara and Amboseli and internal flights. It was all very easy and well organised. I also found it to be very competitively priced considering the service we received and the standard of accommodation.

Travel north to Aberdare National Park (3hrs), where Black rhinos, white colobus monkeys, olive baboons, spotted hyenas and 250 species of birds join bushbucks and buffalo in the ‘majestic moorland’. Enjoy lunch and time at leisure in the iconic Ark Lodge, overlooking a salt lick and waterhole, right at the heart of the park; before a game drive enroute to Aberdare Country Club, for a two-night stay. A half-day game drive takes you through the 18,000 acres of Solio Ranch, a privately owned wildlife conservancy, dedicated to rhino conservation. A river runs through the conservancy, and acacia forests provide hides for wildlife. An afternoon at leisure is followed by a ‘bush dinner’ this evening. (B, L, D)

Travel through the Great Rift Valley into Lake Nakuru National Park (3½ hrs), stopping enroute at the splendid Thomson Falls, Kenya’s 2nd-tallest, its River Ng’iro cascade dropping 74metres into the spray-misted rift below. Afternoon game drive in the park, where frothy-pink flocks of flamingos feed in the shallows of the soda lake, and the many resident mammal species include waterbuck and endearing warthogs. Drive south to the Masai Mara Game Reserve (7hrs). It’s all in the name at this National Reserve, ‘Maasai’ for the ancestral inhabitants of the area, ‘Mara’ translating from their language as ‘spotted’ – a description of the savannah landscape, dotted with bushes, scrub and clusters of trees. Perhaps begin the day with an optional, unforgettable, early morning balloon ride over the Mara (£445, pre-bookable), before a full day game drive, The Masai Mara homes the elusive leopards, elephant families, hook-lipped Black Rhinos, buffalo herds, and hundreds of the Mara’s iconic black-mane lions. Separated from the Serengeti by the Mara River, the Masai Mara is at its most awesome during the Great Migration between the two reserves (usually July-September), when a miles-long line of wildebeest stretches from horizon to horizon on their journey seeking sweeter pastures. The comeback that Vera Sidika promised to her Kenyan followers in 2023 is actually materialising.

Since having her second kid, she has made a big deal out of returning to the socialite lifestyle.

Following her breakup with Brown Mauzo last week, Vera posted a photo of herself in a plane and declared she was not catching feelings, but rather flights.

When the socialite said she was once again travelling internationally for a tour, she confused many Kenyans.

She said that her 2023 summer had only just begun while she was in America. Kenyans online questioned her definition of a tour, with many mentioning how singers and other performers go on tour as examples.

Vera explained what she was doing, perhaps having heard the concerns raised by her presence in America.

She is organising All-White Party rallies in at least five American cities, she claimed. She will be In Houston, Sacramento, Seattle, Raleigh, and Dallas, she is hosting meet-and-greet events.The activities will last through September 30.

2023 is truly proving to be the comeback that Vera Sidika promised to her Kenyan fans. She has been touting her massive return to socialite life ever since giving birth to her second child.

Last week following her separation from Brown Mauzo, Vera shared a picture in a plane, announcing she was not catching feelings but flights.

The socialite got many Kenyans confused when she announced she was yet again on another international flight for a tour.

She is currently in America where she explained that her 2023 summer is just getting started. Kenyans online wondered aloud what she meant by a tour, with many citing how musicians and other entertainers go on tour.

The first all-white party she hosted was Saturday, Sep 2 at the famous Safari Lounge frequented by Kenyans abroad.

There was a 20$ cover charge to attend the event. She also indicated she had a tour manager to kick things off.

You will begin the Vera Full-Day Tour of Northumberland Locations as you arrive in the Centre of Newcastle, where you’ll embark by coach to visit a wealth of memorable filming locations for Vera across the North East of England. DCI Vera Stanhope’s Police Station was set and filmed in Newcastle, vastly changing the City’s reputation being known for its industrial environment. A raft of gruesome murders took place across some of Northumberland’s beachside areas, and parts of the tour include great views of these crime-scenes.

The Vera full-day tour boasts a total of fifteen filming locations. During the full-day tour, we venture further into the crime setting by visiting the backcountry, which includes locations featured through series one to eight such as Dark Road, The Deer Hunters, Blood and Bone, and Darkwater.

Visit the filming location of the Shadows in the Sky episode where the victim plunges from the peak of a multi-storey car-park. Explore the area from Death of a Family Man where the body was recovered after it was discovered in the Tyne. You might also like to view where The Sea Glass scene was filmed showcasing the fishing trawler with a corpse waiting to be found.

There will rest breaks during the tour at Alnmouth in the morning,  lunch at either Bamburgh, Seahouses or Lindisfarne with shorter breaks in the afternoon.

The tour will start and end back in the centre of Newcastle.
