Gilmore Girls Getaway: Visit the “Real” Stars Hollow, Connecticut

If you’re a fan of the television show, Gilmore Girls , you know that Rory and Lorelai Gilmore made their home in the fictional town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut .  Although the charmingly quaint New England town is not on the Connecticut state map, its inspiration can be found throughout the Litchfield Hills region. Towns like Washington, New Milford, Bantam and Litchfield inspired the creators of the show, and they continue to draw fans looking to capture a little of the Gilmore Girls magic.

But first, coffee! Take Route 47 north for a late breakfast at Luke’s Diner, oops we mean Marty’s Café in Washington, before embarking on a rambling drive along Route 109 west, past a few of the places that inspired Stars Hollow locations, like  The Washington Food Market (Doose’s Market) and The Hickory Stick Bookshop (Stars Hollow Books).

Town of New Milford, New Milford

Follow Route 202 South to pretty New Milford, Connecticut. On New Milford’s town green you’ll see a gazebo that many say inspired the one in Stars Hollow, where so many magical Gilmore Girls moments have taken place. After a farm-to-table lunch at the organic eatery, the Green Granary , head for Route 67 East back toward Washington. Along the way, take a short detour to the Bridgewater Village Store in downtown Bridgewater for some famous Bridgewater Chocolates , local honey and maple syrup, and of course, coffee!

Town of Litchfield, Litchfield

The next day, start with breakfast and coffee from The Smithy Market & Cafe in Washington. Continue north on Route 47 and merge onto Route 202 North. Along the way, shop for antiques at Housatonic Trading Company and the Old Carriage Shop Antique Center. And be sure to stop for ice cream at Arethusa Farm in Bantam, home of delicious ice cream that rivals Taylor’s Soda Shoppe. Then make your way to the quaint town of Litchfield for a little more shopping.

The energetic spirit and small town charm of Stars Hollow are alive and well in Connecticut. In fact, you’ll find  cities and towns  all across the state that give you that traditional New England feel, combined with a smart modern edge — in other words, everything we love about  Gilmore Girls . I visited the Stars Hollow set for a holiday-themed lunch and felt just like a Gilmore girl

  • I visited the Warner Bros. Studio in Burbank, California, on the first day of its special holiday-themed " Gilmore Girls " tour.
  • The tour included a look at some of the most iconic locations from the show, including Lorelai Gilmore's house, Luke's Diner, and the gazebo located in the middle of Stars Hollow.
  • While there, I also enjoyed a festive "Lunch With Lorelai," which consisted of oven-roasted turkey breast and mashed potatoes.
  • I even got the chance to speak with Scott Patterson, who played Luke Danes on the show.
  • The "Gilmore Girls" holiday tour runs until January 5, 2020. You can purchase tickets on the Warner Bros. Studio Tour website, and prices start at $59 for children and $69 for adults.
  • Visit Insider's homepage for more stories.

When I got to the Warner Bros. Studio lot, I felt eager to board the tram that would transport us to Stars Hollow, Connecticut.

visit stars hollow set

When I first arrived at the Warner Bros. Studio lot in Burbank, California, there was a long line of people who had bought tickets for the special "Gilmore Girls" holiday tour .

My tour was set for 2 p.m., and there were about 10 people in my group. As we boarded the tram that would take us to the set of "Gilmore Girls," we all talked about what the experience would be like. Everyone in my group was a huge fan of the show and could not be happier that a holiday-themed tour was taking place almost 20 years after the show premiered.

Along the way, our tour guide mentioned that "Shameless," "The Real," and "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" were just a few of the other shows that currently film on the lot.

The tram dropped us off at the entrance of Stars Hollow, and I made my way to a colorful sign that provided directions.

visit stars hollow set

I noticed the colorful sign from a distance and immediately headed straight for it. Our tour guide explained to us that we were free to roam the lot and that we could take a tram back to the pickup area whenever we liked.

The sign directed guests to iconic spots from the show, including Luke's Diner, the town square, and Lorelai Gilmore's house.

visit stars hollow set

Since we were free to roam on our own, I decided to head to the town square first. It seemed like a lot of people were also choosing to walk in that direction.

The first house I saw as I was walking toward the town square was Sookie St. James' home, which was decked out for the holidays.

visit stars hollow set

Fans of the show will remember Sookie St. James (played by Melissa McCarthy ) as Lorelai Gilmore's (played by Lauren Graham ) best friend and an excellent chef. Her house, which she shared with her husband Jackson and their two kids, was always known for its laughs and good food.

As I walked by, I noticed that the Gilmore house set was directly attached to Sookie's house, which is something you wouldn't guess from the show.

As I continued walking, I noticed the iconic gazebo right in the middle of the town square. Some of the most memorable moments from "Gilmore Girls" were filmed here.

visit stars hollow set

The gazebo was decorated with festive garland and traditional nutcrackers, but the set as a whole needed some snow in order to make it really feel like Stars Hollow during Christmas.

I stopped to capture the perfect "Gilmore Girls" moment on the steps of the gazebo.

visit stars hollow set

The gazebo was one photo opportunity I couldn't miss.

Each building on the lot had a sign in front of it with a description and some fun facts about the location.

visit stars hollow set

I found it helpful to be able to read about each location.

The description in front of the gazebo said it was "one of the most filmed locations on the studio lot."

Next up, I stopped by Mrs. Kim's antique shop.

visit stars hollow set

Mrs. Kim (played by Emily Kuroda) was the strict mother of Rory Gilmore's (played by Alexis Bledel ) best friend, Lane Kim (played by Keiko Agena).

According to the description, Mrs. Kim's shop also appeared in an episode of "Friends" ("The One With the Prom Video"), as well as the NBC series "The West Wing."

I stepped inside Mrs. Kim's home to find Scott Patterson, who played Luke Danes on the show, waiting to speak my group.

visit stars hollow set

My group was guided inside of Mrs. Kim's house for a surprise Q&A with Scott Patterson, who played Luke Danes on the show. Fans planning to visit the set on a future date shouldn't expect to see Patterson, as it was the only day he would be making an appearance.

When asked in what ways Patterson felt like he was similar or different from his character Luke, he replied: "I think we're similar in that we're kind of old-school guys and we're loyal people, we love fiercely."

"We're not anything alike in terms of how much fun I like to have, he's a very uptight guy," Patterson added. "I enjoyed playing him because he was so specific. I love characters that are a little tight because they evoke so much mystery."

Patterson made his way to the gazebo after our discussion to answer more questions from fans.

visit stars hollow set

Patterson was escorted out of the house and to the gazebo, where many excited fans screamed at the sight of him.

"I love surprising people! Thank you to all the fans attending the 'Gilmore Girls' holiday event yesterday on the Warner Bros. Studio Tour of the Stars Hollow set," Scott wrote in a Facebook post the following day. "Seeing you all is such a joy to me. Much love and Happy Holidays!"

As I continued to explore the town, I couldn't help but feel as though I had actually been transported to the real Stars Hollow.

visit stars hollow set

I felt like I was actually following in the footsteps of Rory and Lorelai Gilmore. On television, all of these iconic locations appear to be more spread out, but in reality, they're just steps away from each other.

The town felt very real and included a number or recognizable locations, like the church ...

visit stars hollow set

The church appeared smaller in person.

... Doose's Market ...

visit stars hollow set

Doose's Market is the only grocery store in Stars Hollow, and it witnessed its fair share of dramatic moments.

... and the infamous Luke's Diner.

visit stars hollow set

Warner Bros. mentioned that the Luke's Diner photo opportunity was a new addition to the tour. While fans were only allowed to take photos of the exterior, it was still an ideal setting for a dose of nostalgia.

Fans channeled Rory and Lorelai Gilmore in themed outfits.

visit stars hollow set

A mother and daughter standing in line to take a picture in front of Luke's Diner donned Rory and Lorelai Gilmore-inspired outfits.

I stopped to take a picture in front of the Stars Hollow sign.

visit stars hollow set

Fans of "Gilmore Girls" will instantly recognize the blue-and-white Stars Hollow sign.

Although the lot did have some holiday props, I would have liked to see more snow in the area since it was a holiday tour.

visit stars hollow set

The "snow woman" that Rory and Lorelai built for the Stars Hollow snowman contest was front and center.

Visitors could see the entrance of Stars Hollow High School up close.

visit stars hollow set

Rory Gilmore attended Stars Hollow High School with Lane before leaving for Chilton.

As an added bonus, the tour also featured the signature couch and fountain from "Friends."

visit stars hollow set

The "Friends" couch was not plush like I expected it to be.

I circled around to the front of the lot and saw people standing in line for "Lunch With Lorelai."

visit stars hollow set

To my surprise, "Lunch with Lorelai" didn't actually take place in Lorelai Gilmore's home.

I made my way to the back of the line, which was really long and extended past the front of the fence.

The "Lunch With Lorelai" menu featured a variety of festive options.

visit stars hollow set

The menu offered seasonal items like oven-roasted turkey breast with mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts, and grilled flank steak with roasted red potatoes and green beans. Other options included chicken tenders, pizza, and french fries — some of Lorelai and Rory's favorites.

I was expecting the interior of the home to mimic Lorelai's living room, but that was not the case.

visit stars hollow set

I waited in line for about 15 minutes before I got to the register to order my food.

Though the food wasn't prepared by Sookie herself, it was still warm and tasty.

visit stars hollow set

I ordered the oven-roasted turkey breast since I was in the mood for a holiday lunch. The plate came with turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, and brussels sprouts.

Overall, the meal was delicious. The brussels sprouts seemed to be steamed instead of roasted as the description said, but they were still tasty. The gravy was by far my favorite part, adding loads of flavor to the mashed potatoes I ordered.

After I finished my meal, I visited Lorelai's house, which was my favorite stop on the tour.

visit stars hollow set

After I finished my meal, I walked back toward the front entrance of the lot and made my way to some of the other locations I didn't get to see yet.

Lorelai's house, which doubled as the gift shop, was next up on the list. It was decked out in colorful Christmas lights.

The Gilmore mailbox was on display outside of the residence.

visit stars hollow set

The mailbox was filled with Rory's acceptance letters from Yale, Harvard, and Princeton University.

Costumes from the show were on display inside the Gilmore home.

visit stars hollow set

When I first stepped into Lorelai's home, I noticed the original costumes that Rory and Lorelai wore were on display. There was a line to view the rest of the house, which takes you through Rory's bedroom and the living room.

As soon as you walk into the house, you're standing in Rory's bedroom.

visit stars hollow set

Rory's bedroom looked exactly like what I remembered from the show, and was decorated with props, including her laptop and pajamas.

Rory's dresser was covered in books, and the mirror featured a Yale flag.

visit stars hollow set

Rory was a big bookworm in the show, so it felt fitting that her dresser was stacked with her favorite books.

The TV inside Rory's room was playing an episode of "Gilmore Girls."

visit stars hollow set

I enjoyed how guests could watch episodes of "Gilmore Girls" while they roamed through the house.

The living room was decked out in holiday decor and included a Christmas tree.

visit stars hollow set

Lorelai's living room matched the exact setup that they had on the show.

I noticed a photo of Luke on one of the tables in the living room.

visit stars hollow set

The photo was a sweet nod to Luke's relationship with Lorelai and Rory on the show.

Other decorations inside the house included snow globes and photos of Rory and Lorelai.

visit stars hollow set

I personally loved all the small touches in the home that made the set feel more realistic.

Luke's clothing was also on display in Lorelai's house.

visit stars hollow set

Luke's signature blue baseball cap made an appearance.

I continued past the living room to the gift shop.

visit stars hollow set

The gift shop located inside Lorelai's home sold exclusive "Gilmore Girls" merchandise like magnets, mugs, clothing, and more.

Lorelai's Jeep was another prop that was on display directly outside her home.

visit stars hollow set

By the time I walked out of Lorelai's house, it was dark outside and the lights were finally on.

I noticed Lorelai's 2000 Jeep Wrangler parked outside of her home.

I saw people carrying Luke's Diner coffee cups, and decided I needed one of my own.

visit stars hollow set

The stand right outside of Lorelai's house sold items like hot cocoa, coffee, Pop-Tarts, and cookies.

I opted for the hot cocoa and dragonfly shortbread cookie.

visit stars hollow set

The hot cocoa felt like a perfect addition to the holiday-themed experience.

I sipped my hot cocoa outside of the Independence Inn, which featured a sign that said: "I smell snow."

visit stars hollow set

"I smell snow" was one of Lorelai's most iconic quotes from the show.

The building was supposed to represent the potting shed that Lorelai and Rory lived in behind the Inn while Lorelai was working as a maid.

I took advantage of the photo ops and snapped a few holiday pictures.

visit stars hollow set

A sleigh in front of the shed was lit up and decorated with holiday decor. I stood in a decent line to get this photo.

Once I saw everything there was to see in Stars Hollow, I stood in line for the tram to pick me back up from the entrance of the lot.

visit stars hollow set

A tram came to pick people up every 10 minutes. TV screens playing on the ride back shared a little history about the Warner Bros. Studio lot.

In the end, the holiday tour was a magical experience that will make any "Gilmore Girls" fan feel nostalgic.

visit stars hollow set

Visiting iconic locations like Luke's Diner and Lorelai's home made me feel nostalgic, and I want to rewatch the series right away.

The "Gilmore Girls" holiday tour runs from December 21, 2019, to January 5, 2020. You can purchase tickets for the tour on the Warner Bros. website, and prices start at $59 for children and $69 for adults.

The Warner Bros. Studio Will Transform Into Stars Hollow From ‘Gilmore Girls’ This Holiday Season

T o Gilmore Girls fans, the town of Stars Hollow might feel like an out-of-reach utopia, but now they can actually visit it in real life. No, this doesn’t just mean you can visit a town that looks like Stars Hollow or is renovated to mimic it. The Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Hollywood will transform into Stars Hollow for the holiday season, with all the original sets and props. That means Luke’s Diner, Stars Hollow High School, Lorelai’s house, and the town gazebo will all be there. Props like Lorelai’s jeep, and Lorelai and Rory’s wardrobes, are also still intact.

The main town square, including the gazebo, has always been viewable by taking the studio tour, but the sets have been repurposed dozens of times, so it never fully felt like the real Stars Hollow. For this event, though, the sets will be decorated specifically to replicate Stars Hollow at Christmas — twinkle lights and all. Now, considering the studio tour is in Los Angeles instead of Connecticut, it probably won’t be covered in snow — but you never know what movie magic the studio will pull out.

Fans of the show know that the only way to tour Stars Hollow right is while munching on junk food, so the tour will provide plenty of snacks (and, of course, coffee coffee coffee) along the way.

Garo Soloff, Director of Marketing at Warner Bros. Studio Tour, said in a press release , “Gilmore Girls touched the hearts of so many fans and spans generations. This holiday season, our guests will enjoy a one-of-a-kind fan experience as they tour the iconic Warner Bros. backlot that will be transformed into the majestic town of Stars Hollow.”

Gilmore Girls Fans Can Have Lunch at Lorelai’s House in Stars Hollow This Winter

By ellen gutoskey | oct 27, 2019.

Alexis Bledel and Lauren Graham in Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life (2016).

For fans of Gilmore Girls , it’s impossible to see fall foliage without thinking of the show’s opening credits scene, which features multicolored New England landscapes and the comforting words of Carole King. The small, sleepy town of Stars Hollow has always seemed like the perfect place to spend all of autumn and winter, celebrating the holidays with multiple mugs of coffee and smelling the snow in the air.

This December, you’ll have the chance to eat all of Lorelai and Rory Gilmore’s favorite junk food at their Stars Hollow house. Insider reports that Warner Brothers Studios in Burbank, California, is selling tickets for tours of the Gilmore Girls set, which includes a stroll through the iconic town square, up-close exterior views of Luke’s Diner and Stars Hollow High, a visit to the gazebo, and lunch at the Gilmore home.

visit stars hollow set

It’s not the first year Warner Brothers has offered this particular tour, but the photo opportunity at Luke’s Diner is new. And since the crotchety, lovable diner owner himself won’t be around to grumble about the omnipresence of cell phones, feel free to pose for as many pictures as you like before moseying on over to Lorelai’s home for a bite to eat.

In addition to Pop-Tarts , pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, and coffee, Warner Bros. is promising other “holiday-themed” treats (though exactly what that means hasn't been announced yet). If last year’s menu is any indication, however, you can count on some Sookie-approved comfort foods. Delish reported oven-roasted turkey breast with cranberry-shallot sauce, lemon garlic roasted chicken, veggie burgers, fries, homestyle macaroni salad, garlic-buttered corn, and salads. The tour website also promises vegetarian and gluten-free options.

The actual lunch will take place in Lorelai’s yard, but you can go inside the house to explore a pop-up shop with mugs, T-shirts, and more Stars Hollow-themed souvenirs.

The tours will run from December 21, 2019, to January 5, 2020, and you can buy tickets for $69 each (or $57 for Southern California residents) here .

Gilmore Girls Holiday Tour at Warner Bros. Studios

Books & Entertainment , Travel

If you were hoping to visit Stars Hollow for the Gilmore Girls holiday tour, we’re sad to report that Warner Bros. Studio will not be producing the Gilmore Girls holiday tour this winter season. This post has been updated for 2021-22 .

Hi Wendy! Unfortunately, Gilmore Girls Holiday will not be produced this year. We hope to bring it back in the future! However, the Gilmore Girls backlot sets are still part of the tour on our Midwest Backlot subject to availability due to possible production. — WB Tour Hollywood (@wbtourhollywood) November 4, 2021

WB Midwest Street Backlot Sets

As the tweet reads, the Gilmore Girls sets are located on the Midwest Street backlot and available to view as part of the Studio Tour which is open again. You’ll definitely be able to get your photo on the famous Stars Hallow gazebo. I’m not sure if you’ll have access to Lorelai’s house even though it was steps away from the “Anytown USA” lot.

Gilmore Girls Holiday Tour – 2018

In 2018 Wendy and I headed up to Burbank a few days after Christmas for lunch at Lorelai Gilmore’s house as part of the Warner Bros. Studio tour. Our love for Gilmore Girls has been well-documented here on the blog, and we knew we couldn’t miss this limited event opportunity.

The Gilmore Girls Holiday Tour was a limited engagement event and usually operated from late December to early January. *WB Studios will not product Holiday Lunch at Lorelai’s for 2021*

Warner Bros. Studio Tour includes visiting the Gilmore Girls set. This is considered a special event and only runs a few weeks from December to January. Read about our experience visiting Stars Hollow!

Can You Visit Stars Hallow?

Stars Hollow, Connecticut is a fictional town that only exists on the Warner Bros. backlot. When rewatching the series, I can’t believe that we stood in the Stars Hollow town square or that we sat on Lorelei’s front steps.

Is the WB Studio Tour Worth It?

There are several tour options, including the Studio Tour, the Classics Tour, the Deluxe Tour. The Gilmore Girls tour is considered an “event and special feature” and is included as part of the three tours. Unfortunately, you cannot purchase tickets just for the Gilmore Girls portion.

We chose the Studio Tour ($69/adult and $59/child) which is a 2-hour guided tour plus a one-hour self-guided tour. Stops include various backlots and sound stages, the DC Universe exhibit, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the Batman Batmobile Collection, Stage 48, the Friends Central Perk set, The Big Bang Theory sets and the studio store.

The Stars Hollow set is the very last stop on the tram tour. We first visited Desperate Housewives’ Wisteria Lane, tried on the sorting hat from Harry Potter, accepted an Oscar, grabbed a coffee at Central Perk and twiddled our thumbs during several DC Universe exhibits we weren’t particularly interested in.

There is a lot to see on the WB Studio tour. Sure, not everything is for everybody but it’s certainly worth the price of admission if you take advantage of all the offerings and any special events.

Purchase tickets here .

Warner Bros. Studio Tour includes a stop to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts. Make sure to sit under the "Sorting Hat" to see what Hogwarts House you will be sorted into.

What to Expect on the Gilmore Girls Tour

Most of the WB tour is guided and on an open-air tram. The Gilmore Girls backlot set is the very last stop on the tour and you’ll be allowed to roam around for however long you like and when finished you jump back on the tram for a ride back to the entrance.

When we visited in 2018, the tour lacked signage and without a guide in this portion of the tour, you weren’t really sure what was what. We thought maybe one of the houses looked like Dean’s house but who knew without a map or a sign that said so.

The gazebo in Stars Hollow is iconic. Think of all the scenes that had been filmed there! I’m rewatching the series right now and Luke’s sister, Liz, just had her Renaissance-themed wedding in the gazebo. And during the “Fall” episode in Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life , Rory tells Lorelei that she is pregnant while sitting on the steps of the gazebo.

Apparently the gazebo is one of the most filmed locations on the WB studio lot.

Unfortunately, you won’t see any of the Gilmore Girls actors. You will see a lot of dudes dressed in flannel shirts and backwards ball caps though. Seriously. You will also see lots of moms and daughters, some even dressing like Lorelei and Rory.

Stars Hollow Set

When we visited, we saw a stripped down Luke’s Diner on our 2018 tour. For 2019, they have added the Williams Hardware sign and the iconic yellow Luke’s coffee cup sign to the building. Also added is the “Food” decal on the window we’ve all become so accustomed to seeing. You can only take photos in front of Luke’s Diner, there is no interior to the building.

In 2019, the Gilmore Girls tour added a dressed up Doose’s Market, Stars Hollow High School, Mrs. Kim’s Antiques, and Sookie’s House as part of the experience. Plus, they added signage with descriptions of the exterior sets with some WB fun facts.

Lorelai’s house is sadly just an exterior set. Wouldn’t it be awesome to sit at the kitchen table or run down the stairs in cut off denim shorts and cowboy boots? The actual interior was filmed on a set that has long been turned over to another television show. You can enter the front door of the house but it leads to no where.

On the porch, you can purchase Gilmore Girls merchandise and Dragonfly Inn cookies.

While we were there we posed in front of Lorelai’s house, the iconic Stars Hollow sign, and of course, perched on the steps of the town gazebo. Lorelai’s Jeep was out front too, but I guess we didn’t snap a photo.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour includes a special Gilmore Girls tour of the exterior sets in Stars Hollow.

Lunch at Lorelei’s House in Stars Hollow

The Gilmore Girls Holiday Tour is touted as “Lunch at Lorelai’s House” and is the last stop on the self-guided part of the tour. Lunch isn’t included, but of course, we had to fuel up for the drive home.

While there were holiday offerings on the menu, we opted for burgers (sadly, no Santa burgers) and sodas.

Since our trip, it looks like this year they’re also serving Pop Tarts, so that’s something to look forward to!

You can buy a bunch of Gilmore Girls merchandise on the Warner Bros. Gilmore Girls Tour, including Dragonfly Inn cookies, t-shirts, coffee mugs from Luke's and more.

Screen Rant

Where is the real stars hollow every filming location for gilmore girls.

Stars Hollow provides a perfect background for Rory and Lorelai's busy, dramatic lives, and Gilmore Girls had several filming locations to depict it.

Stars Hollow is a lovely place with a cozy diner and quirky people, and Gilmore Girls was filmed in a few different locations to depict the fictional town. Despite not being an actual place, the show's small town is steeped in charm and feels real, thanks to the details present in every episode. Many series are set in tiny towns where everyone knows each other's daily business and dark secrets, but Stars Hollow feels unique, with memorable spots like Al's Pancake World, which features different dishes from around the world but not the sweet breakfast food of its name.

The inspiration behind Stars Hollow on Gilmore Girls comes from real Connecticut towns like Washington Depot. When wondering where was Gilmore Girls filmed, it's possible to learn the real-life locations behind the romantic moments between Luke Danes (Scott Patterson) and Lorelai (Lauren Graham), along with Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Lorelai's mother/daughter activities. While Rory dreams of going to an Ivy League college and leaving her town, it makes sense that she comes back in the Netflix revival Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life and always sees this place as her home.

Where Was The Gilmore Girls Pilot Filmed?

The pilot episode of Gilmore Girls was filmed in Unionville, Ontario, particularly on Main Street. Unionville is part of Markham and provides the perfect backdrop for the beginning of Lorelai and Rory's story. Lorelai's age at the start of Gilmore Girls is crucial to this episode, as she's 32 years old, and her daughter is 16. Lorelai walks to get coffee at Luke's diner and walks past Tucci Armadio in Unionville, which sells clothes. A customer then hits on Rory before realizing that she's still in high school and that Lorelai is her young mother.

Several other Unionville spots show up in the pilot episode. The scenes at Luke's diner were shot at 156 Main Street, which is now Gratie Medical Spa. The big windows still look similar. There is also the Stars Hollow church, which is located at 150 Main Street. The gazebo and the location of Taylor's Old-Fashioned Shoppe are also real spots in Unionville (via Visit Markham ). The latter is at 170 Main Street, which is now a place to grab pastry and coffee called Old Firehall Confectionery.

Lorelai's relationship with Chris leads her to Luke , and it all starts in this episode as she asks the latter to pour her a cup of coffee, and they playfully fight. The pilot is a key part of Luke and Lorelai's romance. As Lorelai walks through her beloved town, the main street of Unionville suggests a warm-hearted place to live.

Where Was The Rest Of Gilmore Girls Filmed?

When it comes to where was Gilmore Girls filmed, the rest of the series was shot on the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, California. When comparing the pilot episode to the other episodes, it's clear that the heart, soul, and charm of Unionville were recreated on the set. Many of the characters' houses are part of the set, including those of Lorelai and Sookie St. James (Melissa McCarthy). Sookie and Lorelai's homes are actually connected (via Insider ). Other sets include Luke's Diner, Doose's Market, Stars Hollow High School, the church, Mrs. Kim's antique store, and the gazebo.

Rory's decision to go to Yale, not Harvard makes her happy, although she does experience several lows during this time. Rory's Yale scenes were filmed at the University of Southern California (via It's Filmed There ). In the memorable Gilmore Girls season 7 episode "Unto The Breach," Rory graduates and turns down Logan Huntzberger's (Matt) proposal as she seeks a more independent future. The characters walk and stand near the Norris Theater, the Bovard Administration Building, and Taper Hall. The beautiful campus of USC is a great backdrop for Rory's coming-of-age storylines and the big decisions that she has to make.

Gilmore Girls was also filmed at two locations in Los Angeles, and these were the background for some key moments involving Rory and her Gilmore Girls love interests . The show's Chilton scenes were shot at the Greystone Mansion located at 905 Loma Vista Dr. in Beverly Hills. The show was also filmed at The Ebell Club for several important plot lines, from the vow renewal of Emily and Richard Gilmore (Kelly Bishop and Edward Herrmann) to Rory's meaningful and chaotic school dance. Scenes of Rory eating at Chilton's cafeteria were also shot at this club (via Travel Pulse ).

Where Was The Netflix Revival A Year In The Life Filmed?

When wondering where was Gilmore Girls filmed, there's also the question of the Netflix revival, A Year in the Life. These four episodes were filmed on the same lot, in Burbank, California, as the original series. Stars Hollow looks as magical and nostalgia-inducing as ever in the Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life revival . Rory visits home, and she and Lorelai buy coffee from Luke's and wander around the snowy streets, passing the mom-and-pop stores and that famous gazebo. It's the perfect introduction to these new episodes and a reminder of the banter that the mother-and-daughter duo is praised for.

Gilmore Girls showrunner and creator Amy Sherman-Palladino explained during the summer 2016 Television Critics Association press tour, " They changed our Stars Hollow... So we had to go back in and zhoosh up Stars Hollow. We had to rebuild all the sets .” It's also worth noting that in the years since Gilmore Girls ended in 2007 and the revival began filming, the show's set was used for Pretty Little Liars .

RELATED: Every Cameo In Gilmore Girls' Revival, A Year In The Life

Rory is 32 years old at the end of the Gilmore Girls revival and finding her way in the world, with Stars Hollow as a safe place to land. Although Stars Hollow isn't an actual, real place, the question of where Gilmore Girls was filmed would have to be the same for A Year in the Life as in the original series, thanks to nostalgia for Luke's diner, the gazebo, and the characters' homes. Whether Rory visits Lane Kim (Keiko Agena) at the International Food Festival or tap dances in the middle of the night, the Gilmore Girls Warner Bros. set looks as cozy as ever.

Will there be a Season 2 of the Gilmore Girls revival?

After nearly a decade off the air, fans got to return to Stars Hollow in a four-episode Netflix special which wrapped up the beloved series on showrunner Amy's terms. Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life ultimately saw now-writer Rory's return to the small town, telling her mom that she is pregnant. While fans have constantly been yearning for a reboot or a second revival special, nothing has been greenlit at the moment.

In a 2017 interview, Lauren spoke with TVLine about the possibility of a reboot. While she had no word on if she'd ever revive her role as Lorelai again, she did share her idea about which direction the show could go. "To me, what would be a great next step — whenever it is, five years, 10 years — would be a Christmas movie," she said.

For now, we'll just have to continue to binge-watch past seasons with a big cup of coffee in hand.

Warner Bros.’ “Holidays Made Here” returns for the 2022 holiday season, bringing the world of “Gilmore Girls” to life in Burbank, California. After the event was canceled for two years for COVID-19 safety, fans of the show will be able to participate in the guided tour around Warner Bros. studio from Dec. 22 to Jan. 1.

According to an official release from Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood, the Christmastime tour will whisk guests to the Midwest Street Backlot, where “Gilmore Girls” was filmed for seven seasons. Featuring a fully-decorated set, costumes and props, guests can ring in the holidays while exploring Stars Hollow, the fictional town where “Gilmore Girls” takes place.

Visitors will be able to visit major locations from the show, including Luke’s Diner, Lorelai’s house, the Stars Hollow town sign and much more. Guests may also find pop-up shops in the town, with festive “Gilmore Girls” merchandise exclusive to the “Holidays Made Here” event. Hot coffee and Poptarts will be available for Stars Hollow visitors, as well as photo opportunities around the town.

Stars Hollow, Connecticut, isn’t the only place guests will visit, Warner Bros. wrote. Fans of the hit TV sitcom “Friends” can travel to Stage 48, where the Friends Boutique and Central Perk Café will be decked out for the holiday season. The Holiday Armadillo costume — a gag from the show — will be on display for Central Perk patrons, the area features authentic costumes and props from the series.

“Holidays Made Here” will guide guests through the sets of other favorite Christmas films, such as “Elf” and “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.” KTLA reported that the Warner Bros. crew is excited to have guests back at the studio this holiday season.

“After two years of missing out on celebrating the holidays with our Warner Bros. fans, we are thrilled to have guests back on the lot for “Holidays Made Here,” said Danny Kahn, vice president and general manager of Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood. “This event will be a must-see for fans, and we can’t wait to share the magic of exploring Stars Hollow with everyone during the holiday season.”

Tours will run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 22 to Jan. 1., with the exception of Christmas Day. Tickets are available on the Warner Bros. website , with access to the “Holidays Made Here” event included in every ticket package.

Yes, You Can Visit Stars Hollow—A Gilmore Girls Guide to Connecticut

Cue Carole King— Gilmore Girls is back. And with their much-anticipated reboot comes a rush of nostalgia for the small-town American reverie that is Stars Hollow. Built on a soundstage in Burbank, California, the Stars Hollow we know is a New England pastiche so full of wholesome, quirky charm we feel like we’ve been there. Which has led many the GG superfan to the question: Can I go there? While the show’s setting is a fiction, it was inspired by a real Connecticut town, one that creator Amy Sherman-Palladino stayed in on a trip to visit Mark Twain’s house. That town is rumored to be Washington, but despite its stately Mayflower Grace , a proto–Independence Inn if you will, the resemblance is not exact. For one, there’s no gazebo. And everyone knows the best antiques, like Mrs. Kim’s, are found in Woodbury. Turns out, if you want a taste of the Gilmore Girls life, you’ll have to hop in your Jeep and unfold your road map because glimpses of Stars Hollow are there to be seen all around the Nutmeg State.

For endless coffee and small-town feels, like at Luke’s Diner . . . Turn off your cell phone and pull up a chair at The Coffee Trade in Avon, where they sell seriously caffeinated goods in the front and gifts, like handmade jewelry, in the back. The Mystic shopping village, where you can find Vault Coffee , is brimming with Stars Hollow charm with its duck pond, white church, and gazebo. And at the Coffee Barn , in Wilton, you can sit and sip for hours. The space—a former barn—is known for its cozy, community atmosphere.

For bed-and-breakfasts as charming as the Independence Inn and the Dragonfly . . . Head to Washington to see the inn that inspired Sherman-Palladino, the picturesque Mayflower Grace, where you can try your hand at fly fishing, archery, snowshoeing, or a more Emily-esque game of tennis. Just across town, the Hidden Valley Bed & Breakfast , offers sweeping views of the Connecticut countryside and Dutch Colonial accents. And it doesn’t get more New England than at one of the oldest operating inns in America, the Griswold in Essex, which opened pre–Stars Hollow in 1776. Don’t miss the gazebo down the street.

For the real Miss Patty’s Dance School . . . Is this the figment of a candy-induced Gilmore dream? No. In Enfield there is an honest-to-goodness dance hall in a barn: Powder Mill Barn . Pure magic.

For antiques as quirky and cool as Mrs. Kim’s . . . Like Rory and Lane at Mrs. Kim’s, you can get lost in Woodbury’s most fabulous antiques shops. Wayne Mattox is the perfect spot for scoring 18th-century American finds, while Martell & Suffin offer refined pieces sure to delight the ladies at the DAR. And Monique Shay ’s red barn store is quaint enough to visit even when it’s closed.

For fall festivities . . . In the seemingly perpetual autumn of Stars Hollow, there’s always an opportunity for seasonal merriment. Bunnell Farm in Litchfield offers corn mazes, Bishop’s Orchards in Guilford has apple picking, and Warrup’s Farm in Redding will take you away on a hay ride.

And for the dreamiest gazebo in Connecticut . . . The beating heart of Stars Hollow is its gazebo, around which knit-a-thons are thrown, ex-boyfriends are wed, and tearful goodbyes are said. There’s only one place in the state that rivals the awe-inspiring sweetness of the Gilmore girls’ and that’s in the town square of New Milford . Make a pilgrimage during the holidays to see it dusted in snow and decked in twinkling lights. Lorelai would say, “Everything is magical when it snows.”

This Is The Town That Inspired Stars Hollow, And It's Just As Charming And Quirky As Gilmore Girls

The town that inspired Stars Hollow's charm and magic is actually in Connecticut, and yes... It does have a local diner and a town hall.

As  Gilmore Girls  celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, it's time to take a look back and see what inspired one of the most beloved mother-daughter shows of the last two decades. When the pilot episode hit the air, it was undeniable that fans immediately fell in love with Rory's innocence and wit, while her mother, Lorelai, brought an extra helping of caffeinated sarcasm and emotion to the table. Now, so many years later, it still remains a well-loved favorite and for fans, the town of Stars Hollow is eternal.

Much to the continued joy of fans, the creator of the show, Amy Sherman-Palladino, has revealed that a real-life town did serve as the inspiration for  Gilmore Girls . It happened one day when she and her husband were driving through western Connecticut and happened upon a town called Washington. The couple booked a stay at the Mayflower Inn & Spa and had breakfast at the town's local diner and thus, the idea for  Gilmore Girls  was born. What motivated Sherman-Palladino was the sense of warmth and community they felt from the small town of Washington, and she describes the experience as being "beautiful" and "magical" - not unlike the feeling fans get when they watch the since-inspired show.

A Little About Washington

According to the town's locals, it's not uncommon for them to see fans of  Gilmore Girls  soaking up all the magic that comes from this small-town life . Not unlike Stars Hollow, Washington is a town where everyone walks everywhere, making it not uncommon that locals will run into their neighbors and be on a first-name basis with the local stores. Many locals will even agree that the town does echo the lifestyle that made Stars Hollow so desirable, and that the sense of knowing your neighbor rings true on these small-town streets.

Not unlike Stars Hollow, the town sports only the essentials: a prep school, Historic Inn (sound familiar?), a market, a bookstore, a town green, a town hall, the town's hardware store, and possibly the most well-loved location, the local diner, named Marty's. These major destinations in Washington are easy to see integrated into  Gilmore Girl's plot settings, as the bookstore was where Christopher had a credit card issue, where Rory and Lane had many a long conversation, and a place of comfort and employment for Rory during her college years.

The diner is easily relatable as Luke's, although not similar in appearance or hardware-store-origin, as more of a town meeting hall than the actual town hall. While the town meetings in Stars Hollow were hosted at Miss Patty's, it's easy to see where the small-town life of Washington could imply that town meetings felt more like neighborly get-togethers than official minutes.

Related:  Visit A Small-Town General Store Owned By Steve Carrell

In stark contrast to many TV show locations that were inspired by real-life destinations, Washington remains a friendly and sociable town. For the most part, its locals have fallen just as much in love with the setting of  Gilmore Girls  as fans have. The residents of this beautiful town are friendly and outgoing, but, more importantly, welcoming to those wishing to see the magic for themselves.

Some more real-life familiarities are the addition of the town's movie nights and even festivals and picnics, many of which are similar to Stars Hollow's classic annual celebrations. The town was founded in 1779, incorporating all of the American histories that Stars Hollow also boasts, especially that of their early colonial life. Washington even conjures up special events and activities for the town, some even so unique and unusual that they could potentially have been a plotline for  A Year in the Life.

Related:  Beautiful And Understated: The Best Small Towns In Europe Worth A Visit

Aside from the town's festivities, the locals will say that tourists fall in love with the town for reasons completely unrelated to that of the award-winning series. While it wouldn't seem unusual to spot Kirk or Tailor walking around town, or seeing Patty teaching dance classes in the town square, Washington has its own unique charm that functions completely separate from the storyline that has brought it so much attention. Visitors to the town who have no affiliation with  Gilmore Girls  have fallen in love with this town's easy way of life and the uncomplicated, effortless manner in which its townspeople interact with one another.

The people who live there are just as diverse and interesting as though which Sherman-Palladino has dreamt up, except for the best part - the fact that they're real. In an effort to further embrace the town's fame, a shop called Stars Hollow Yarns was opened in both a nod and tribute to the show, adding a bit of realistic shimmer to this already vibrant and bright town.

New York Undercover Cast Set to Reunite for National Tour in Honor of Show’s 30th Anniversary (Exclusive)

The beloved police procedural, starring Malik Yoba, Luna Lauren Velez and Michael DeLorenzo, aired on Fox from 1994 to 1999

The cast of New York Undercover is hitting the road!

In PEOPLE's exclusive look at the Monday, April 29 episode of Tamron Hall , Malik Yoba, Luna Lauren Velez and Michael DeLorenzo reveal that the cast of the police drama will be embarking on a tour across the United States in celebration of the show's 30th anniversary.

"We're here not just to talk about the 30-year anniversary, but how we can bring this moment forward," Yoba, 56, explains. "Audiences has never had a chance to have this experience with us so we intend to go on the road as [a] cast."

Jeff Neira/DISNEY

After host Tamron Hall and the audience react with shock, Yoba shares "another iconic" reveal.

"We're going to hit markets across America. We're working with artists that have performed on the show," he continues as the crowd cheers.

New York Undercover aired from Fox from 1994 to 1999. The iconic police procedural followed the story of two undercover detectives, J.C. Williams (Yoba) and Eddie Torres (DeLorenzo). The series included a diverse cast and was one of the first procedurals to cast BIPOC actors in leading roles. It also told realistic storylines that tackles issues from parenting to racism, sexism and drug abuse.

In 2018, Deadline reported that ABC had ordered a pilot for a New York Undercover reboot series.

At the time, the outlet reported that the new series would pick up 20 years after the original show's end. The reboot was to follow detectives Nat Gilmore and Melissa Ortiz and their investigations into the Big Apple's most dangerous criminals from Harlem to Battery Park. Some original cast members were expected to reprise their roles.

The reboot was to be written and executive produced by Dick Wolf, co-creator of the original series, and Ben Watkins.

However, the network scrapped its plans for the revival. Though New York Undercover 's return to television looks unlikely, Deadline reported that the reboot was getting pitched to other networks in 2020.

Fall is around the corner, and that's usually the time of year when I dive deep into the world of Gilmore Girls and re-watch all the seasons . It's a tradition I started for myself — and now it's been made easier, thanks to Netflix — because there's just something about the fall that makes me want to revisit Stars Hollow. It's a small town with so much charm, and I wish I could visit it for real. Unfortunately, the real Stars Hollow doesn't exist, but there are some places to visit if you love Gilmore Girls that are located all over the United States.

According to The A.V. Club , it was actually Amy Sherman-Palladino's vacation in Connecticut that gave her the inspiration to put the characters we all know and love in a quaint, small town environment. A last-minute end of summer vacay to any of these seven destinations might provide you with some creative inspiration for your next project, or it'll just give you tons of cute pics for the 'Gram. Take the trip with your favorite Gilmore Girls bestie, and don't forget to snag a pic in the local diner, shopping for vintage items, and taking part in the town's festivities. Sounds like so much fun that I may tag along, because after all, "Where you lead, I will follow."

For the diehard Gilmore Girls fan, you need to add Kent, Connecticut to your travel bucket list for the Gilmore Girls Fan Fest in October. This celebration of all-things Gilmore includes fun activities, guest stars from the show, and gives you a chance to escape to a Connecticut small town just like Stars Hollow for the weekend. While you're there, plan to stop by the Fife 'n Drum Restaurant and Inn for lunch or dinner, and it'll be like you're having a meal at the Dragonfly Inn made by Sookie.

If you're looking for a small town with an adorable gazebo, head to New Milford, Connecticut . The iconic gazebo in the show is where Jess and Dean fought over Rory's basket, and where Luke and Lorelai finally got married. (I'm not crying, you're crying.)

Anyway, if you're looking for a charming destination with a gazebo right in the heart and soul of the town, New Milford is the place to go. You can even recreate some of these memorable scenes for a few Insta snaps of your own.

Most of these Connecticut small towns are close enough that you could plan out a Gilmore Girls road trip with your besties this fall, making pits stops at each one of these places. After Kent and New Milford, you need to add Litchfield, Connecticut to your list as well.

The green in the center of town will give you major Stars Hollow vibes, and you can walk along a little strip of shops next to it looking for some antique items worthy of Mrs. Kim's shop.

Looking outside of Connecticut, there are some cute AF places to visit that will still give you the same exact Stars Hollow charm you're looking for. If you happen to be in Texas, take a day trip to visit Fredericksburg . You can walk along the strip of shops to visit The Fredericksburg General Store or even The Fredericksburg Christmas Store if you love winter just as much as Lorelai.

If you're looking to go shopping on your Stars Hollow-themed trip, Traverse City in Michigan has a strip of streets with cute boutiques and cafes for you and your bestie to walk around like you're Rory and Lorelai. Also, if you happen to be in Traverse in August, each Friday evening, a “Friday Night Live" block party takes place, much like a festival Taylor Doose would have planned for the people of Stars Hollow.

Cocoa Village in Florida was my equivalent of Stars Hollow's small town charm growing up. The historic city has lots of boutiques and cafes to stop in as you walk along the streets lined with trees. Stop in Ossorio Bakery and Cafe for some coffee if you love it just as much as Lorelai and Rory. It'll be like your very own Luke's Diner.

For those of us on the West Coast, we can still find a little bit of Stars Hollow in Carmel-by-the-Sea in California . This beach destination has that charming vibe with its cute shops and bed and breakfasts. Stop in the Pine Inn for dinner that tastes like Sookie herself made it just for you. As you walk along the downtown, get a pic of you and your BFF window shopping, just like Lorlelai and Rory.

Congress approved a TikTok ban. Why it could still be years before it takes effect.

A person holds a sign supporting TikTok at the U.S. Capitol.

TikTok’s fate in the U.S. has never been more in doubt after Congress approved a bill that gives its parent company two options: sell it to an approved buyer or see it banned.

President Joe Biden signed the legislation into law on Wednesday.

But it could take years for the TikTok ban to actually go into effect, since its Chinese-owned parent company, ByteDance, is likely to challenge the statute in court.

And even if it survives a legal challenge, no one is quite sure what would happen next.

How soon could a potential ban take effect?

It would probably be several years from now.

According to the statute’s language, ByteDance would have nine months to divest and find an American buyer for TikTok once the bill is signed into law.

On top of that, the president can push back the deadline by an additional 90 days.

That means, without a sale, the soonest TikTok could shut down in the U.S. would be more than one year from now.

But it’s more complicated than that.

If ByteDance sues to block the implementation of the statute — which it has said it would do — the bill will be taken up by the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, according to Isaac Boltansky, director of policy for the financial services firm BTIG.

Boltansky said ByteDance would file a suit no later than this fall. And while the case is under judicial review, the “clock” on any ban is effectively paused, he said.

Once the D.C. court issues its ruling, whichever side loses is likely to request a review by the U.S. Supreme Court.

That would forestall the ban by another year — meaning nothing would go into effect until 2026, Boltansky said.

TikTok will argue that the ban is unconstitutional and that it’s also taken steps to protect American users’ data. The app has already launched an aggressive lobbying campaign, featuring a number of small-business owners and influencers who say it's their lifeblood.

“We have got to make enough noise so that they don’t take away our voice,” TikTok user @dadlifejason, who has 13.8 million followers, says in a TikTok ad shared on social media.

What about finding a buyer?

The bill stipulates that TikTok can continue to operate in the U.S. if ByteDance sells the app to a U.S.-approved firm.

While large U.S. tech companies would love to get their hands on the platform, Boltansky said that Biden administration regulators — not to mention GOP critics of Big Tech firms — have no interest in expanding the power, reach or influence of such companies.

Some other outside groups might emerge. At least one led by Steve Mnuchin, who was Treasury secretary in the Trump administration, has already sought to make a bid, telling CNBC in March that he was putting together an investor group . The Wall Street Journal has also reported that former Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick was looking for potential buyer partners. While ByteDance, which owns other companies, is worth hundreds of billions of dollars, TikTok would fetch less than that, experts say — especially if it is sold without its powerful recommendation algorithm.

But Boltansky believes ByteDance is unlikely to agree to any kind of sale. The Chinese government has said as much, arguing that it regards the algorithm as a national security asset. And without that, TikTok becomes much less appealing to potential buyers.

So is TikTok in the U.S. going away?

It might — but the ultimate impact may be limited. The fact is, most TikTok users already have a presence on other platforms, so the impact on their livelihoods to the extent that they operate businesses on TikTok could be limited.

According to a survey from the financial services group Wedbush, approximately 60% of TikTok user respondents said they’d simply migrate to Instagram (or Facebook) in the event of a sale, while 19% said they’d go to YouTube.

Analysts with financial services company Bernstein arrived at similar estimates. In a note to clients, they forecast that Meta, which owns Instagram and Facebook, would take over as much as 60% of TikTok’s U.S. ad revenue, with YouTube gaining 25%. Snapchat would also benefit, they said.

Why did lawmakers feel they needed to take this drastic step?

Boltansky said many political pundits remain surprised that the bill got over the finish line. But a wave of anxiety about both Chinese influence and the impact of social media on youth converged to get it passed.

“This has been noteworthy,” Boltansky said. “Everyone is so conditioned to D.C. doing nothing or the bare minimum to keep the lights on.”

As tensions with Beijing have grown, congressional lawmakers, along with top law enforcement officials, have warned that TikTok is controlled by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and is a national security threat to the United States.

“It screams out with national security concerns,” FBI Director Christopher Wray testified on Capitol Hill last year

U.S. officials fear that the Chinese government is using TikTok to access data from, and spy on, its American users, spreading disinformation and conspiracy theories.

It felt like a TikTok ban was moving slowly, then quickly. What happened?

The House passed its standalone TikTok bill on a big bipartisan vote in March. But the Senate appeared in no hurry to take up the measure as Commerce Chair Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., drafted her own legislation.

That all changed when Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., working with the White House, rolled out his $95 billion foreign aid supplemental plan last week that included billions of dollars for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.

Included in that sweeping aid package: the House’s TikTok bill, with some minor changes. Johnson pushed the package through his chamber, then sent the House on a recess, forcing the Senate to take it or leave it.

Rather than further delay the critical, long-stalled military and humanitarian aid, the Democratic-controlled Senate is moving to quickly pass the package — including the TikTok bill and other Johnson priorities.

Kenny Chesney is busy promoting his new album Born , which was released last month. While the project underperformed somewhat, the country artist still manages to not only make history this week with one tune from the set, but tie with one of the genre’s most beloved superstars.

On this week’s edition of the Country Airplay chart– Billboard’s ranking of the tunes that reach the largest audience at country radio stations across the U.S.—Chesney scores a new top 10 hit. He’s used to appearing inside the highest tier on one of the most competitive radio lists in the U.S., but this latest smash is special.

Chesney’s tune “Take Her Home” lifts from No. 11 to No. 9. The single cracks the top 10 on the Country Airplay chart for the first time, adding to his career total in a notable way.

“Take Her Home” marks Chesney’s sixty-first career top 10 hit on the Country Airplay chart. According to Billboard , he’s now tied with George Strait for the most placements inside the highest tier on the radio list among all artists.

Before this week, Chesney was already matched with another beloved musician from the country field. He and Tim McGraw had both collected 60 top 10 smashes on the Country Airplay chart. Now, he’s pulled ahead of McGraw, though the ranking could change again, as both artists are still working steadily.

Chesney is fast approaching 30 years of scoring top 10s on the Country Airplay chart. He earned his first appearance inside the region in 1995. That year, “Fall In Love” rose as high as No. 6, starting what would go on to become a historic career.
