So when you land in jamaica how do you know where your private transfer is I was going to pay for that and the mobay pass?

Are you booked as a Westjet vacation package or have you hired your own private driver?

Either way when you exit your private driver will most likely have a sign with your name on it and if it’s the transportation WestJet vacations offers there will be a bus with signage.

Yes you need to get a negative Covid test done 3 days prior to your travel date.

Thanks for the help. Also having a hard time deciding if I should get the deluxe insurance with westjet or going with manulife. Anyone have any suggestions on this one? Manuluife is 160$ cheaper just having a hard time deciding which one will cover me for covid and other cancellations.

Did you book a private transfer through a westjet vacation package? If not, westjet typically just has shared transportation included with their vacation packages (large coach bus that stops at other resorts). We often opt out of the shared transportation and book a private transportation to the resort on our own.

We had the best time. Staff were so lovely and interactive. The facilities and entertainment schedule were fantastic. I would definitely be returning.

Overall another fantastic holiday in a beautiful location

This is the 3rd time we have visited this hotel First the positives of which there are many: The staff are wonderful! They literally can’t do enough for you. They’re friendly, engaging, good humoured and so respectful! The rooms are immaculate. We had a junior suite. It was lovely. The grounds are equally impressive. They are clean, the gardens are beautiful and the attention to detail to make the customer experience so amazing is second to none. The gym is well stocked. The staff again are so friendly. They open the door when they see you arrive at 6am, bring you towels and are there for any help you need. Sunset cove is my favourite place to be. It’s a private beach in a beautiful cove which means it’s calm and untouched. The sea life is wonderful. It really is like swimming in a tropical fish tank. We were also lucky enough to see a spotted eagle ray twice. The water sports facilities included are great. We went kayaking and paddle boarding a few times and it’s all included. The food in the buffet restaurant “Mo’Bay” is pretty good with a fairly decent selection. Samoya was such a lovely waitress as were many of the others we were lucky enough to meet. Miss Lou’s cafe is worth a visit Ornella was so lovely. I visited daily and she had my coffee waiting for me. Such impeccable service! The were live musicians playing outside the buffet restaurant each weekday and boy were they talented! As were the singers in the Infinity bar each evening. The cocktails were very sugar heavy and most pre-made but certainly drinkable. Now to the downsides: The a la carte restaurants really I would avoid. Portion sizes are small. The food choices are limited and not very good. The starters are all served as buffet style and on visiting the Mexican restaurant one evening, it had been annihilated, it was awful! The tapenyaki was good but the others weren’t good at all. All in all another great experience and we would definitely love to come back another time

SO BAD MY FAMILY AND I LEFT TWO DAYS EARLY.

This resort is the worst resort my family and I have ever been to in the 20 plus years of marriage we have had together. My family and I travel about 4 times a year and our normal resort in Jamaica was booked for spring break so I did the research and booked here. We booked from March 27 through April 4th, we left on April 2nd because I couldn't take it any longer and I would have left sooner if I could have found a flight. When we arrived we checked in fine, but the next morning we went out to get coffee, there is one coffee place and the line was out the door. So we went to breakfast which was the first time I ever experienced "VACATION SURVIOR" to get a cup of coffee took 30 mins, there was no eggs, no bacon, no pancakes, one egg station which was 15 deep. So you had to stand and wait for anything, once anything was dropped it was a mad dash and it was gone. This continued on through lunch and dinner. The buffets were awful, the restaurants weren't any better. We tried each restaurant and they we all awful, from the service, to the wait time, to the difficulty getting a reservation. The only decent food is the jerk chicken hut by the beach which is open 12-3 so fill up. Room service is that of the Frye Festival so don't get excited for that Also the "water sports" was open one of the days we were there so we took paddle boards out which was fun, the next day it was closed because of "wind" the next no reason, the next the boat didnt work even though they brought it in to start work and left in it, the fourth back to the wind. I talked to managers, and staff and no one did a thing, we left on April 2nd two days early. I lost 6 pounds on vacation, my wife lost 4. This place is awful.

Wonderful family vacation!!!!

I will start by saying the resort is absolutely beautiful. Me and my family enjoyed the delicious food at the restaurants, nightly entertainment, not to mention the classical musicians playing music outside one of the restaurants during breakfast. The staff was very nice and helpful. We met one young man, Jannoy Smith, that always had a smile on his face and ready to give us a ride in the cart as needed and answer questions for us. Amazing family vacation and yes, we will return!
