Wonders of the World I Can't See: release date, episodes and everything we know

Wonders of the World I Can't See — join blind comedian Chris McCausland as he travels the world with celebrity pals in this Channel 4 travelogue.

Chris McCausland in Wonders of the World I Can't See

Did you hear the one about the blind man who went on a sightseeing holiday? Well you’re about to, because comedian Chris McCausland, who lost his eyesight as an adult thanks to a genetic condition, has done just that, enlisting the help of showbiz pals to accompany him on a trip to visit some of the wonders of the world.

In the aptly named four-part Channel 4 series Wonders of the World I Can’t See , the Scouse stand-up samples the delights of the Acropolis in Athens, Rome’s Colosseum, the ancient city of Petra in Jordan, and Canada’s Niagara Falls, aided and abetted by fellow comedians Harry Hill, Tom Allen and Guz Khan, and actor and broadcaster Liza Tarbuck.

Where can I watch Wonders of the World I Can't See?

Wonders of the World I Can't See will air on Channel 4 from Monday, June 19 at 10 pm.

There are four episodes, which will each air over consecutive weeks in the same slot.

Harry Hill

Wonders of the World I Can't See — Chris McCausland interview

We caught up with Chris, 46, to find out what he did on his travels, and how his celebrity tour guides shaped up …

The Acropolis with Harry Hill

It’s all Greek to Chris and Harry as they throw themselves into sea fishing, pottery, olive oil tasting, drama and even Olympic sports, as well as visiting the famous Parthenon on the Acropolis.

"I’m sure we learned about the Acropolis at school, but I don’t remember much about it," says Chris. "Harry and I connect well, we’re on the same wavelength, and we had a laugh pretty much all of the time. There was one point where he almost choked to death during the olive oil tasting, and I was crying with laughter! And when he’s just being himself, he is so engaging.

"Harry told me in the car that he had a dodgy air conditioner in his hotel room that was making funny noises. And I don’t know how, but we ended up singing ‘broken air conditioner’ versions of Beatles songs! It was one of the strangest conversations I’ve ever been part of, and it was filmed. But afterwards the production team said: 'We can't use that, as we don’t have the rights to the music!'

"It was so hot in Athens when we were doing the Olympic sports, and it was a ridiculous time of year to go. If we get another series I’m going to ask to film it between November and January!"

Tom Allen

The Colosseum with Tom Allen

Chris and Tom tuck into ice cream, make pasta, sing opera, train to be gladiators and zip around the eternal city on a Vespa on their Roman holiday.

"When you come to the Colosseum in Rome, you already know a lot about what went on there, because it’s so embedded in your brain," says Chris. "I’ve done plenty of gigs that felt like I was being thrown to the lions, like the Christians were by the Romans!

"Tom is a brilliant companion. He’s flamboyant, and so good with language when he’s describing things. He’ll say things off the cuff that sound like he’s reading them from a design magazine!

"Of course, he insisted on maintaining his very smart image while we were in Rome. I was there in a linen shirt and shorts, and he’s got a suit and tie and brogues on!

"I took the gladiator training far too seriously. After precisely 27 minutes of training, we were ready to fight! You’ll see it in slow motion with dramatic music, but even at normal speed it felt like we were doing it in slow mo!

"It’s a good job I couldn’t see anything when we were riding around on the Vespa, because I felt like I was in a death trap in that Italian traffic! Ignorance is bliss sometimes…"

Guz Khan

Petra with Guz Khan

Chris and Man Like Mobeen star Guz swim in the Dead Sea, visit a spa, haggle, ride camels and enjoy a traditional Bedouin feast on a trip that’s full of Middle Eastern promise.

"I’ve never been a swimmer," Chris reveals.  "I think 10 metres was the most advanced swimming certificate I got at school, and I can’t tread water, so it was remarkable to be floating in the Dead Sea!

"We also had a spa treatment, but I’ve never been good with massages as I don’t like strangers touching me! And we were in Jordan, which is already pretty hot, and in the spa they want you to sweat when you go in, so they make it considerably hotter than it is outside!

"It was Guz’s job to bring the ancient city of Petra to life for me, but he made things up off the top of his head about what the buildings were used for! I’d say to him: 'You haven’t got a clue buddy, have you?', but he just styled it out!

"When it came to the haggling, I was terrible at it. In the end, I just said to the shopkeeper: ‘If that item costs 50 dinars, why don’t you just tell me it costs 60, and I’ll talk you down?!”’

Liza Tarbuck

Niagara Falls with Liza Tarbuck

Chris and Liza make a splash as they visit the iconic Niagara Falls in Canada, try a spot of axe-throwing and bushcraft, and sample local fast food favourite ‘poutine’.

"The Niagara Falls episode is very different from the other ones in the series," says Chris. "In those, the wonder itself wasn’t necessarily the best thing about the trip, it was more the history and culture of the place. But Niagara Falls was incredible, whereas everything around it was tacky and commercial!

"Also, when I’m with a fellow comedian, we’re constantly trying to be funny and think of the next joke. But the experience I had with Liza was more about trying to make something fun, rather than chasing the punchline, and I think that comes across.

"I enjoyed trying the axe-throwing, which is something that seems to be terribly popular at the moment, doesn’t it?  But I was terrible at it! I mean, I did hit the target a couple of times, but I also literally hit the ceiling!

"We learned some bushcraft as well, but to be honest I don’t rate my chances of surviving in the wild! I think we were shown how to start a fire, but I can’t remember any of it!"

Chris McCausland lands Channel 4 travel show

Friday 8th July 2022, 10:32am by Jay Richardson

  • Chris McCausland is making a travel show entitled The Wonders Of The World That I Can't See for Channel 4
  • The blind stand-up and fearful flyer will be joined by other celebrities on his globe-trotting adventures
  • He says: "I hate flying, don't function in the heat, and can't eat anything weird. If I'm honest, I just wanted to do Gogglebox "

Chris McCausland has landed a television travelogue.

Despite his hatred of flying, McCausland is making a series entitled The Wonders Of The World That I Can't See for Channel 4 , in which the blind comic and celebrity companions visit a series of landmarks across various countries.

Produced and directed by Jim Hickey ( Joel & Nish vs The World , Hate Thy Neighbour ) for Open Mike Productions ( Live At The Apollo , The Last Leg ), filming takes place in the break before McCausland's Speaky Blinder tour resumes in September.

Channel 4 explains: "In each episode, reluctant traveller Chris will be joined by a different special celebrity guest as his travelling companion. As well as providing a humorous 'audio description' of their surroundings for him, the celebrity companions will do their best to prove to Chris that there's much more to visiting these places than just what they look like, by engaging their other senses. Will they manage to convince him that it was worth getting off his couch after all?"

Guests and destinations for the four hour-long episodes have yet to emerge.

McCausland jokes: "I hate flying, don't function in the heat, and can't eat anything weird. If I'm honest, I just wanted to do Gogglebox . But thanks to Channel 4 and Open Mike for having more faith in me than I do."

"Being on a plane, I've never been comfortable with it" McCausland told actor Cressida Bonas on her Fear Itself podcast in 2020 .

"Firstly, I can't see my surroundings. And so, you get turbulence, in my head, the cabin crew, the stewards are slapping their hands on their faces with open mouths, silent screaming about the impending terror and doom that we're about to encounter. When really they're just serving gin and tonics ... I don't know whether we're about to drop out of the sky."

McCausland also told Bonas that he hates sea swimming, because "I'm not a strong swimmer" and "I can't see which direction the shore's in!"

The Wonders Of The World That I Can't See is the latest high-profile factual commission to feature a comedian exploring a blind person's experience, following blind stand-up Jamie MacDonald 's BBC Two documentary Blind Ambition last year, in which he and director Jamie O'Leary interviewed creatives who had lost their eyesight, and Sara Pascoe 's 2019 BBC Two film Travelling Blind , in which the sighted stand-up went to Turkey with blind travel expert and entrepreneur Amar Latif .

McCausland, who is blind because of retinitis pigmentosa, has seen his career take off in the last two years, with his 100-plus date tour booked on the back of a routine at the Royal Variety Performance and his third Live At The Apollo set airing last year. He has also made multiple appearances on panel shows like Have I Got News For You , Would I Lie To You? and QI .

Phil Harris , Head of Entertainment and Live Events at Channel 4 , says: "I'm excited to build on Chris's scene stealing appearances on The Last Leg and 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown with this new adventure. We're proud to be the home of his first entertainment series and look forward to growing his presence on Channel 4 ."

Executive producer Andrew Beint comments: " Open Mike Productions are delighted to be given the opportunity to work with the brilliant Chris McCausland on this extraordinary and quintessentially Channel 4 travelogue series."

Commissioning editor Steve Handley concludes: "Chris is an outstanding talent and I'm thrilled he's going on a romp across the globe for us. It promises to be both hilarious and heartfelt - proving that there is so much more to experience beyond what a famous place looks like."

Last week, Broadcast magazine revealed that Chris McCausland is piloting a BBC game show called What's In The Box? , in which contestants have to guess the contents of a box without being able to see inside it. He also recently hosted a Radio 4 panel show pilot that he devised himself, You Heard It Here First , in which comedians have to "live in an audio-only world, deciphering brainteaser sound cues for points and pride whilst trying not to muck about too much along the way".

New four-part travelogue series from Open Mike Productions for Channel 4 starring Chris McCausland

Channel 4 have commissioned Open Mike Productions, the award-winning production company behind ‘Live At The Apollo’ and ‘The Last Leg’, to produce a brand new comedy travelogue series starring comedian Chris McCausland.

In each episode, reluctant traveller Chris will be joined by a different special celebrity guest as his travelling companion. As well as providing a humorous ‘audio description’ of their surroundings for him, the celebrity companions will do their best to prove to Chris that there’s much more to visiting these places than just what they look like, by engaging their other senses. Will they manage to convince him that it was worth getting off his couch after all?

It promises to be both hilarious and heartfelt – proving that there is so much more to experience beyond what a famous place looks like.”

The show was commissioned for Channel 4 by Head of Entertainment and Live Events, Phil Harris and Commissioning Editor for Entertainment, Steve Handley. Jim Hickey is the series producer / director and the executive producers for Open Mike are Andrew Beint and Andy Thistlewood.

Locations and comedians taking part in The Wonders of the World I Can't See ( w/t ) will be announced in due course.

Chris McCausland: ‘A miracle to cure my blindness completely? I’d consider that’

The comedian talks about challenging perceptions, being turned down by mi5 and shaking up the celebrity travelogue genre with his new channel 4 show.

author avatar image

To call Chris McCausland a reluctant traveller is a little like suggesting, these days, that Russell Brand is a divisive figure. As the stand-up comedian will tell you himself, there are few people you could encounter less willing to go on holiday than him.

Odd, then, that Channel 4 has given the 45-year-old his own travel show, The Wonders of the World I Can’t See .

“I’m not a big traveller, no,” he concedes. “There’s just so much that I don’t like about it. I’m a terrible flyer , I’m not good in the heat, and I can’t help but think: what’s the point? What’s the point going all that way to stand in front of the thing that everyone is looking at, but that I can’t see?”

McCausland is blind. He lost his sight completely by the age of 22, due to a hereditary condition called retinitis pigmentosa. “My grandmother had it, and my mum,” he says. “Basically, I’d been going blind very slowly since I was born, and so didn’t even really notice it happening – like,” he adds, “the frog in the pan of boiling water.”

There are many blind people who do choose to travel, of course, and who rely upon their other senses to fill in the blanks. Not McCausland.

Jack Whitehall: Settle Down, Brighton Centre, review: Outdated laddy banter about campness and anal

Jack Whitehall’s Settle Down is an outdated stream of laddy banter about campness and anal

“They say that when you lose your sight, your hearing gets better. It doesn’t. But you do pay more attention to it. So when you’re sat at a beach resort, and you’re hot, and you can’t see what’s around you, then you just end up concentrating on how hot you actually are. I suffer more for it.

“What’s the point,” he says, “of going to somewhere like the ancient city of Petra in Jordan, and have someone describe it to you, when you can just stay at home and have them describe it from a postcard?”

It’s perhaps for this reason, then – McCausland’s deep reluctance – that makes The Wonders of the World I Can’t See such oddly compelling viewing. Television has done wanderlust to death, and Channel 4 has already had its own grumpy man travel show, Travel Man with Richard Ayoade. But McCausland takes that up a notch by being the ultimate reluctant holidaymaker. He goes to Rome, to Athens, Niagara Falls and Jordan, and on each trip takes with him a comedy foil – Liza Tarbuck, Guz Kahn, Tom Allen and Harry Hill – not merely for the company, but also to ensure that he doesn’t trip over any Greek pillars or Italian cobblestones. There’s a thorough method to McCausland’s crankiness – he looks tired a lot of the time, and turns bright pink in the sun – and so what comes over loud and clear is how any potential for adventure is consumed within his frustration.

Talking on the phone from his home in south-west London, he says that he hopes the show is at least funny. It is. “But it’s not all roses, either,” he points out. “There’s episodes where the wonders we visit are actually the most underwhelming part of the trip.”

It’s his frustration, however, that rises mostly to the top. In Greece with Harry Hill, he shrugs at the Acropolis, and then eats a bad fish stew cooked by two Greek fishermen who, he notes, “were very unimpressed by me”. At one point in Niagara, Liza Tarbuck calls him a “grumpy Scouse git”.

He does concede that the overall experience was an interesting one, “and I do love making TV shows”, but it hasn’t left him any better disposed towards the prospects of summer holidays with his wife and nine-year-old daughter. “I get very bored in my own mind when I don’t have much to do, and so they tend to go off on holiday together, or with friends,” he says. “I stay at home, and work. I like to work.”

Chris McCausland has been hard at work, as a stand-up comic, for two decades now. A native of Liverpool, he travelled south to London at the turn of the 21st-century to study software engineering at university, and never went back. “My eyesight was starting to get very bad at uni, and the technology back then wasn’t what it is now, so I had to get off that particular career path.”

For the newly blind, there were not many realistic Plan Bs. “I did apply to become a spy, though.” This is presumably the start of an oft-repeated joke, but no. By all accounts it’s true. “It is! I applied to MI5, and got down to the final 30 out of 3000 applicants. They were really excited at first, and said that this was new territory for them, but in the end they turned me down purely because of my eyesight.” He laughs. “Fair enough, I suppose.”

A fan of Jack Dee, Lee Evans and Eddie Izzard, he decided to give comedy a go, “because I had nothing to lose”. McCausland was funny, and his not being able to see was something he could turn – at least notionally – to his advantage. Google suggests he might be the world’s only professional blind comedian.

“But I did want to challenge perceptions,” he insists. “I was never going to go on stage and do 20 minutes of blind jokes.” Like most comedians of his age who aren’t Frankie Boyle – and prone, as Boyle is, instinctively to shock and forever push at polite boundaries – he’s far more likely to joke about being a middle-aged parent, and being easily tired. “I think that, back when I started, I was quite uncomfortable with who I was, embarrassed even. I wanted to be cool, you know? And I wasn’t.”

Chris visits Athens with Harry Hill The Wonders of the World I Can't See Episode 1 TV still Channel 4

But he was immensely likeable, and quick-witted, and has since become a mainstay on comedy panel shows like Would I Lie to You? and Have I Got News for You? He recently took part in the Channel 4 show Scared of the Dark , in which celebrities were plunged into darkness in order to better appreciate the daily challenges faced by those that can’t see. In this situation, McCausland was at a distinct advantage.

The new travel show, meanwhile, focuses on his secondary strength: curmudgeon. The trip he admits to enjoying most is Niagara Falls, the only Wonder you don’t need to see to experience. But even here there’s a caveat.

“With that one, I was the saddest, I think, because I wasn’t able to see it. Don’t get me wrong,” he adds quickly, “I’m much more accepting of who I am these days – I’ve stopped having tantrums every time I spill drinks or bang my head on the door frame – and if someone said they could insert a chip into my retina that would give me back 10 per cent of my sight I’d just think, what’s the point? But a miracle to cure my blindness completely?”

There’s a pause on the phone line, as he mulls this over. “Yeah, I’d consider that,” he says.

The Wonders of the World I Can’t See is on Channel 4 now. McCausland is touring the UK in early 2024

Blind comedian Chris McCausland thinks the Acropolis of Athens sounds like ‘a gazebo’

Sorry, this video isn't available any more.

Chris McCausland had Channel 4 viewers in stitches on Monday night with his new show Wonders Of The World I Can’t See.

The brand new four-part series kicked off with the comedian being shown around the Parthenon in Athens, Greece by non-other than Harry Hill providing the audio commentary so he could envision it.

But Harry’s descriptions didn’t exactly paint a clear picture for Chris, who is blind due to retinitis pigmentosa, a genetic disorder that causes loss of vision.

‘We’re right on top of a massive rock,’ Harry attempted to explain. ‘It’s a series of columns. If you imagine a shoe box but instead of the sides of the shoe box you’ve got columns [and] you’ve lost the lid.’

‘Ah okay, so it’s almost like an ancient gazebo?’ Chris responded.

Speaking privately to the camera, Chris continued: ‘It 100% sounds like he’s describing a gazebo. When I referenced that, he shot me down like I misunderstood.

‘He did have me climb a massive hill in like 40-degree heat and going through crowds of tourists to basically have some pillars described to me.’

Viewers flocked to social media to heap praise on Chris’s new show, which has already been hailed the ‘comedy programme of the year’ by one fan.

Channel 4 have commissioned Open Mike Productions, the award-winning production company behind ‘Live At The Apollo’ and ‘The Last Leg’, to produce a brand new comedy travelogue series starring comedian Chris McCausland.

‘THE WONDERS OF THE WORLD THAT I CAN’T SEE’ will take Chris across the globe to explore some of the world’s most iconic, unforgettable world landmarks, but in a new and unique way that discovers things the ordinary traveller might miss.

Chris McCausland said: "I hate flying, don't function in the heat, and can't eat anything weird. If I'm honest, I just wanted to do Gogglebox. But thanks to Channel 4 and Open Mike for having more faith in me than I do."

Phil Harris, Head of Entertainment and Live Events at Channel 4: “I’m excited to build on Chris’s scene stealing appearances on The Last Leg and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown with this new adventure. We’re proud to be the home of his first entertainment series and look forward to growing his presence on Channel 4.”

Andrew Beint for Open Mike Productions said: “ Open Mike Productions are delighted to be given the opportunity to work with the brilliant Chris McCausland on this extraordinary and quintessentially Channel 4 travelogue series.”

Steve Handley, Commissioning Editor for Entertainment at Channel 4 said: “ Chris is an outstanding talent and I’m thrilled he’s going on a romp across the globe for us.

Chris has been performing stand-up since 2003 and is now a regular face on our TV screens. He has appeared on Live at the Apollo three times including an episode in 2021. He has made multiple appearances on   flagship comedy shows   including; ‘The Last Leg’, ‘Have I Got News for You’, ‘Would I Lie to You?’, ‘8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown’, ‘QI’, and ‘Blankety Blank’.

In 2021 Chris made his debut on the highly prestigious ‘The Royal Variety Performance’ to high acclaim.

Chris is currently in the midst of a 130 date national tour with his stand-up show "Speaky Blinder" that will culminate at the Shepherds Bush Empire in May 2023.

Chris is blind and lost his sight gradually due to a genetic condition called Retinitis Pigmentosa.

Locations and comedians taking part in  THE WONDERS OF THE WORLD THAT I CAN’T SEE  will be announced in due course.

Chris McCausland (left) and Harry Hill in Athens, in The Wonders of the World I Cannot See.

TV tonight: Chris McCausland and Harry Hill enjoy a very funny holiday together

They explore the wonders of Athens. Plus: the inconvenient truths about antidepressants. Here’s what to watch his evening

The Wonders of the World I Can’t See

10pm, channel 4.

Another celebrity travelogue but this time with an interesting twist: blind comedian Chris McCausland asks companions to convince him that visiting the wonders of the world is worth it. He starts in Athens with Harry Hill (“I haven’t been on holiday with a stranger since my honeymoon”), who gets Chris to feel the chiselled penis of a Greek god. Although it’s clear Chris isn’t one to get too sentimental, a few touching moments arise. Hollie Richardson

The Antidepressant Story

8pm, bbc one.

This Panorama special investigates inconvenient truths about the prescription medication that one in seven people in the UK take for depression, and the conference that reportedly “covered up the dependence-forming nature of SSRI antidepressants”. HR

Best Interests

9pm, bbc one.

Nicci (Sharon Horgan) prays in a church in Best Interests.

As Jack Thorne’s heartbreaking drama about parents choosing whether to let their ill child die concludes this week (the final episode is at 9pm on Tuesday), the family’s case is making headlines, and the divisions between Andrew (Michael Sheen) and Nicci (Sharon Horgan) become irrevocable. HR

Once Upon a Time in Northern Ireland

9pm, bbc two.

It’s the extraordinary interviewees – candid, compassionate, excoriating – that make this Troubles documentary a triumph. This final episode reaches the 1998 Good Friday agreement, and we must bid them farewell, but their stories aren’t over. As Richard, Alan and Denise demonstrate in different ways, peace-building is an ongoing process. Ellen E Jones

First streamed on ITVX, this drama with David Tennant as the poisoned Russian former spy Alexander Litvinenko – running nightly this week – is a sluggish but oddly intriguing attempt to dramatise a murder investigation that began while the victim was still (barely) alive. Neil Maskell co-stars as the cop chasing after the polonium. Phil Harrison

The Righteous Gemstones

9pm, sky comedy.

This somewhat overlooked dark comedy series about three siblings joining forces to ensure their semi-retired father’s televangelist empire remains intact (sound familiar?) returns for a third season. The double bill opens with the junior Gemstones taking to the stage to prove they’ve got what it takes – but they notice many empty seats. HR

Film choice

A family look up at the sky excitedly in The Killing of Two Lovers.

The Killing of Two Lovers (Robert Machoian, 2020), 10.55pm, Film4 The film’s title and clanking soundtrack give a jagged edge to this wrenching drama about a couple’s trial separation. In a rural Utah town, Clayne Crawford’s David tries to keep things friendly with his wife Niki (Sepideh Moafi) for their four kids but hopelessness threatens to overwhelm him; the awkward exchanges between father and children reveal the impact the split is having on everyone. Director Robert Machoian skilfully establishes an air of knotted suspense over David’s mental state, in a landscape where all joy seems to have washed away. Simon Wardell

Rafiki (Wanuri Kahiu, 2018), 2.20am, Film4 Banned in Kenya, Wanuri Kahiu’s lesbian romantic drama is a defiant riposte to her country’s persecution of LGBTQ+ people. Two Nairobi teenagers – self-contained Kena (Samantha Mugatsia) and outgoing Ziki (Sheila Munyiva) – fall in love but, in a Romeo and Juliet-style twist, their fathers are political rivals in a local election. Surrounded by homophobia on the streets and from the pulpit, the couple struggle to be themselves – but this is far from a Shakespearean tragedy, and the girls’ relationship proves a match for society’s prejudices. SW

Tennis: Queen’s 1pm, BBC Two. Day one of the men’s tournament.

International football: England v North Macedonia 7pm, Channel 4. The Uefa Euro 2024 Group C qualifier at Old Trafford.

Most of us can't be on the road 365 days a year, but that doesn't mean we have to stop exploring. With some of the best travel shows streaming on Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon, we have the world at our fingertips, with episodes that take us from markets in Mexico to hawker stalls in Singapore to the farthest reaches of the Arctic, back home to BBQ joints in Charleston. Whether you'd rather follow the late Anthony Bourdain, Sir David Attenborough, David Chang, Samin Nosrat , Samantha Brown , Ewan McGregor, or the Fab Five along the way is up to you. Here, find some of our favorite travel shows available to stream right now (fictional and not), involving journeys by land, air, and sea—and lots and lots of eating.

Taste the Nation

With international travel largely on hold, there's no better time to explore our own backyard—which is exactly what host Padma Lakshmi did on her new Hulu show Taste the Nation . The show's first season, released in June, follows the Top Chef host and author as she quite literally tastes the nation , stopping at restaurants around the U.S. to sample the foods of a variety of Indigenous and immigrant groups. Expect to see some familiar faces, like comedian Ali Wong and spearfisher Kimi Werner , along the way.

Planet Earth and Planet Earth II

We had to wait 10 years between the debut of Planet Earth , a groundbreaking natural history show narrated by Sir David Attenborough, and its sequel Planet Earth II , but it was worth it. The first season, which focus on a specific biome and the flora and fauna that live there in each episode, spotlights smooth coated otters in Southeast Asia, Tibetan foxes, critically endangered Ethiopian ibex, and blue whales, among so many others. Our two favorite episodes, though, come from part II. In the sixth episode, the high-def cameras turn to cities to show how leopards in Mumbai, monkeys in Jodhpur, and catfish in southern France live alongside humans. And in what may be the most heart-racing episode of nature television, the islands episode of Planet Earth II follows a lone iguana racing against time—and a horde of snakes.

Long Way Up

Believe it or not, actor Ewan McGregor has been in the travel show business for some 16 years. It all started with Long Way Round , a 2004 series that followed McGregor and his friend Charley Boorman on a motorcycle journey from London through Europe, Asia—and then after a flight to Alaska—Canada, and the U.S. all the way to New York City. The show was followed by 2007's Long Way Down, which took the duo from Scotland to South Africa, on motorcycles once again. Now, they've turned their bikes (electric this time) towards South and Central America, with the latest iteration following the duo some 13,000 miles from Ushuaia, Argentina, on the continent's southernmost tip, to L.A. As usual, hijinks, pitfalls, and stunning scenery are all on view. Neither of the earlier shows are available to stream in the U.S. currently (though you can find them on Apple TV+ in the U.K.), but Long Way Up is an Apple TV+ original and on view for all.

Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat

Be sure to watch this show on a full stomach, or you'll be pausing to bake focaccia or cook tahdig along with affable host and Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat cookbook author Samin Nosrat. In the four-part show, Nosrat travels the world, making stops in Mexico, Japan, Italy, and her home in California, to discover the properties of each of the show's title elements. There's cheese. There's olive oil. There's miso. There are tortillas. There's salsa. And just like that we're hungry again. (FYI, she's as delightful in person as she is on screen—and joined us for a Women Who Travel podcast episode soon after the show premiered.) If you're familiar with Anthony Bourdian's The Layover, then the premise of British comedian Richard Ayoade's Travel Man will seem quite familiar. The goofy show follows the comic and primarily English celebrity friends as they galavant around cities like Helsinki, Miami, and Hong Kong over the course of 48 hours. If you're a Great British Bake Off fan, start with Ayoade's trip to Paris with original GBBO host Mel Giedroyc or the season two episode featuring current host Noel Fielding in Copenhagen . Other familiar faces include Paul Rudd in Helsinki and Bridesmaids' Chris O'Dowd in Vienna.

Somebody Feed Phil

This Netflix original follows host Phil Rosenthal, the creator of Everybody Loves Raymond , as he eats his way through cities like Bangkok , Lisbon, Mexico City , New Orleans ,   Buenos Aires , Cape Town, and Dublin. The hyper-positive show was called "impossibly optimistic," by former Traveler editor Paul Brady, who spoke with Rosenthal before the first season's premiere in 2018. The fourth season, out October 30, takes Rosenthal from Rio de Janeiro to the Mississippi Delta and the islands of Hawaii to eat even more delicious grub.  Watch now: Free with a Netflix subscription ( sign up for Netflix here )

Parts Unknown

Parts Unknown

You simply cannot have a list of the best travel shows and not feature the late Anthony Bourdain. In fact, he's on our list more than once. In Parts Unknown , the chef and travel personality circled the world many times over, in search of music, culture, humor, history, and—of course—really good food. Over 12 seasons (the last aired posthumously), Bourdain visited the indigenous Andes with Eric Ripert, the Sochi Winter Olympics, the Mississippi Delta, and, most famously, Hanoi with then-president Barack Obama. (That's season eight, episode two, if you want to jump right to it.)

Connected Season 1

Technically, Netflix's original show Connected is a science show, but that doesn't mean it isn't filled with travel. Plus, host Latif Nasser told us earlier this year that the show was built in the footsteps of Bourdain's Parts Unknown and No Reservations (with a dash of Bill Nye thrown inn). The show speaks to how the world is interconnected—like how Delaware's birds can offer clues about the Gulf's hurricane season or how sand from the Sahara impacts the Amazon. Throughout, you'll follow Nasser as he hopscotches around the world to speak with scientists to find out more.

Street Food Asia

Street Food

Made by the same folks behind Chef's Table (spoiler: it's also on this list), this show moves away from formal restaurant kitchens and onto the streets, for a guide to some of the world's best curbside meals and snacks . The show's first season is all about Asia, traveling to nine different countries to meet the people behind the food, like Jay Fai from Bangkok's Raan Jay Fai , a Michelin-starred street stall serving up tom yum soup, and Truoc (pictured left), who serves a variety of snail dishes in Ho Chi Minh City . The second season, which hit Netflix in July, zeroes in on Latin America, with stops at Doña Vale's in Oaxaca for memelas and Las Chicas de las Tres food stall in Buenos Aires, run by chef Pato Rodriguez.

Lost Cities With Albert Lin

In this National Geographic –produced show, explorer and scientist Albert Lin tracks down some of the world's most famous lost cities. We're talking buried Knights Templar caves in Israel, El Dorado in the jungles of Colombia, and ancient, forgotten island cities in Micronesia. Along the way, he speaks with archaeologists, historians, and other experts to discover the origins of the legends and, in turn, the reality of those places today.

David Chang drinking pickle juice in Istanbul

Ugly Delicious

The second season of the David Chang –hosted Netflix series debuted in March 2020, taking viewers from Istanbul (pictured), to Tokyo , to Sydney , to… Outback Steakhouse? Along the way, he tackles balancing parenthood with restaurant life, cooks with Top Chef 's Padma Lakshmi , rubs elbows with comedians like Nick Kroll and Aziz Ansari, and gets a lesson in not calling all Indian food curries from Traveler contributor Priya Krishna . (If you want more Chang, try your hand at a recipe from his Momofuku cookbook, or watch Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner , also on Netlfix, where he joins one famous friend on a food tour of a city, like Chrissy Teigen in Marrakech.)

Produced by Vice , this show is about the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. In it, actor Elliot Page and their film director friend Ian Daniel travel to learn about what it's like to be LGBTQ+ around the world. They meet with two-spirit Native Americans, head to ballroom scenes in New York City, and visit the gay bars of Tokyo to dive deep into the vibrant gay and queer culture. But the duo also spends time in Rio de Janeiro, Jamaica, and Ukraine, speaking with LGBTQ+ locals to learn about the discrimination and threats they face just by existing. Expect tears, both happy and sad.

Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted

Gordon Ramsey is involved, so of course this cooking and travel show is extreme. In the National Geographic –produced series, the Hell's Kitchen chef goes out of his element—and out of the kitchen—to learn cooking tips and tricks from locals in unusual locales, culminating in a cook-off of sorts to show off what he's picked up. Here, he heads to Peru's Sacred Valley to learn high altitude cooking, cooks seal with a Tlingit elder in Alaska , and learns about Berber food culture in Morocco.

Carmen Sandiego

Many of us got our first lesson in geography from this trench coat–wearing master thief, and today's kids can too, thanks to the Netflix reboot of this animated series. This high-flying, Robin Hood–style caper takes kids (and parents) with Sandiego as she jet sets between Rio de Janeiro , Matsumoto in Japan, Amsterdam, Mumbai, and more. There are three seasons available and plenty of educational value here for mapheads—plus pretty stellar animation. This year, an interactive choose-you-own-adventure style show, called Carmen Sandiego: To Steal or Not to Steal, came to Netflix and provides endless entertainment as Sandiego fights off the Villains International League of Evil (V.I.L.E.), with your (kid's) help. If Planet Earth and Planet Earth II weren't enough Attenborough for your liking, get your fix on Netflix, thanks to Our Planet . This docuseries, made by the creators of Planet Earth in collaboration with the World Wildlife Fund and narrated by Attenborough, is almost a mix of the two, taking armchair travelers from the North American grasslands and the Everglades to the Arctic tundra and deepest parts of our oceans. Once you're done with the nine 50-minute episodes, switch over to Our Planet: Behind the Scenes to see how the 600-person crew filmed the series. No Reservations

If you want even more Bourdain, Hulu has you covered with No Reservations and The Layover, two of his travel shows that preceded Parts Unknown . In No Reservations, Bourdain takes us to both familiar—Maine, Prague, the Philippines—and unfamiliar—Kurdistan, Mozambique, and deep into the Amazon—corners and kitchens of our world, introducing us to new foods, cultures, and personalities over nine seasons. The Layover takes that same premise, but shortens the time line drastically, knocking down Bourdain's time to explore to just 24 to 48 hours. Both are must-sees—it's Bourdain after all.

Chef's Table: BBQ

While you can watch some of world’s most extraordinary chefs (like Dominque Crenn ; Peruvian Virgilio Martínez , the owner of Lima's Central restaurant; and Swede Magnus Nilsson ) as they create impossibly complicated dishes in the original Chef's Table, we've become partial to its latest iteration, which is all about barbecue. The Netflix original docuseries follows pitmasters like Tootsie Tomanetz—the 85-year-old spitfire pictured above who minds the brisket and sausage at Snow's, outside of Austin—and Rodney Scott, known for his Low Country–style pulled pork and ribs. But the show doesn't stick to the American South. You'll head to Rosalia Chay Chuc's Yucatán home and visit the grills of Lennox Hastie in Sydney, too.  Watch now: Free with a Netflix subscription ( sign up for Netflix here )

Travels with My Father

The first season of this Netflix original, which came out in 2017, follows British stand-up comedian Jack Whitehall and his father, Michael, across Southeast Asia, tracking the duo as they finish the gap year Jack never got to complete, just a few years late (eight, to be exact). It's everything you'd expect: a Thai full moon party and, of course, a trip to Cambodia's Angkor Wat, but the moments in between are what make the show really worth watching. Now, in the three seasons that have followed, the father-son pair have road tripped through Transylvania , visited Chernobyl , and gotten into drag with Sydney queens. Needless to say, it's a romp.  Watch now: Free with a Netflix subscription ( sign up for Netflix here )

Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories

Set in a tiny Tokyo diner that's only open from midnight to 7 a.m., the fictional show follows the Midnight Diner's owner and clientele as they share their trials and joys, all while eating whatever the owner, called Master, dishes up. In the diner, pork miso soup is the go-to, but Master will cook visitors anything they order, as long as he's got the goods to make it. Episodes are a little over 20 minutes long, so it's the most bingeable of the bunch. Watch with subtitles and don't—seriously, don't—watch while hungry. Watch now: Free with a Netflix subscription ( sign up for Netflix here )

Get your international fix by watching Antoni , Karamo , Jonathan , Tan , and Bobby makeover the wardrobes and lives of everyday “heroes” in Yass, Australia , and Tokyo in their Queer Eye specials. That said, we're partial to the U.S.-based seasons, where the Fab Five hits up Atlanta, Kansas City, and, most recently, Philadelphia to give new life to regular folks. Whether they're making over the sisters behind Jones Bar-B-Q in Kansas City or the small town mayor of Clarkston, Georgia, we're on board. Have tissues on hand, as you're all but guaranteed to shed a tear (who are we kidding, you'll sob). Watch now: Free with a Netflix subscription ( sign up for Netflix here )

Places to Love

For many years, Samantha Brown was the only female host on travel TV , period. And while some, albeit small, growth has been made in this regard (Nosrat and Kellee Edwards are among the new faces), Brown is still one of the few women on the go on our screens. While she made her start on the Travel Channel with Passport to Europe, Passport to Latin America, and Passport to China , you should really be checking out her latest show, Places to Love. Now in its third season, the show sees Brown discovering off-the-beaten-path spots in some of the world's most loved destinations as far-flung as Seoul and Auckland, and right in our backyard, like Phoenix and Dallas .

The World According to Jeff Goldblum

Ok, so this isn't as much of a travel show as it is a “what is Jeff Goldblum curious about” show—but it doesn't mean they don't travel all over the U.S. With each episode focusing on the actor's ceaseless interest in the minutiae of one specific thing (like tattoos, or pools, or RVs, or ice cream—it really runs the gamut). Over the course of the show, Goldblum visits Hawaii , Las Vegas , NASA’s neutral buoyancy lab in Houston , and so much more. If you love Goldblum, you'll probably love this show.

50 Best Travel Shows Of All Time (& How To Watch Them)

Anthony Bourdain clip from "Roadrunner"

We may receive a commission on purchases made from links.

Most of us can't reasonably travel all of the time. Thankfully, we can live vicariously through our screens when we cannot be globetrotting ourselves. Travel shows are a dime a dozen, mainly because many of us would rather explore than deal with our responsibilities. But how do you know which shows are worth your time? That depends mainly on your tastes and interests, but we can provide some solid starting points.

From celebrities heading their own adventurous docuseries to food-loving vagabonds visiting remote destinations, travel shows can show us scenes and cultures we would otherwise have no concept of. In fact, television often inspires travel, and watching world wanderers eat their way through exotic destinations is a great way to help plan your next trip. These 50 series are some of the best TV has to offer, and even if you don't make it through all of them, you may find a gem that piques your particular interest.

50. Nomad with Carlton McCoy

Classically trained chef and expert sommelier Carlton McCoy seeks out the best in international cuisine, music, and art in the CNN series "Nomad with Carlton McCoy." Premiering in May 2022, McCoy travels everywhere in the travel series, from the overlooked pleasures of Mississippi to the corners of Ghana. For McCoy, the show's focus lies in adventures and delights found away from the well-worn paths frequented by tourists. Instead, he enjoys savoring hometown favorites from local populations. What McCoy may lack in experience and poise, he and "Nomad" make up for with its premise to go behind the scenes of some of the world's most recognizable locales.

The first "Nomad with Carlton McCoy" season is available to stream on  Prime Video with Discovery+.

49. Down to Earth with Zac Efron

The world is a beautiful place, and it's easy to showcase such on film. This is why a travel show has to be about more than just pretty scenery, and "Down to Earth with Zac Efron" delivers in a big way. The series puts a highly informative spin on the genre by taking viewers on whirlwind journeys worldwide in search of health secrets. We're not talking about avocado toast or juice cleanses, either.

Efron and wellness expert Darin Olien visit destinations to learn about topics like renewable energy, superfoods, and water quality. Have you ever heard of a water sommelier? The experts know a thing or two about what kind of water makes our bodies happy, and a "Down to Earth" episode in France consults one of the few professionals in existence. The series also has episodes on a seed bank stocked for the end of the world, Iceland's Blue Lagoon, and the Amazon rainforest.

Although "Down to Earth" earned Zac Efron a Daytime Emmy, lack of viewership caused the series to be canceled quickly. It had one season at Netflix and was picked up for another at The CW, only to be on the chopping block two episodes later. Lack of quantity does not mean lack of quality, though, and the "High School Musical" star's travel show is a solid viewing.

You can watch "Down to Earth with Zach Efron" on Netflix and The CW .

48. The World's Most Amazing Vacation Rentals

Sometimes, a typical hotel on vacation doesn't cut it, with intrepid travelers opting for more unique and luxurious digs during their stay abroad. The Netflix original series "The World's Most Amazing Vacation Rentals" explores everything from treehouses to alpaca farms to rent worldwide. Hosted by Megan Batoon, Jo Franco, and Luis D. Ortiz, the show reminds viewers that far more than cheap motels and chain hotels are available to make a vacation even more authentic and unique. While some of the rentals visited on the show run on the pricier side, these are balanced out with more cost-effective rentals for travelers not looking to shell out top dollar on accommodations.

"The World's Most Amazing Vacation Rentals" is available to stream on  Netflix .

47. Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy

Academy Award-nominated actor Stanley Tucci reconnects with his ancestral roots in the CNN travel series "Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy." Premiering in 2021, the show has Tucci visit different regions in Italy to learn more about the local cuisine, culture, and history in a sun-soaked tour of the Mediterranean country. Though the major tourist centers of Italy are among the destinations in Tucci's tour, the host takes the time to explore restaurants and locations off the beaten track to reveal a more authentic Italian experience. Buoyed by Tucci's understated yet quietly charismatic presence, "Searching for Italy" has been nominated for multiple Emmy Awards, winning two for its achievement in nonfiction television.

Available to purchase and rent through most digital retailers, "Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy" is also available to stream on Discovery+ .

46. Mysterious Islands

Accomplished pilot and explorer Kellee Edwards invites viewers to join her on his globe-trotting adventures with the Travel Channel series "Mysterious Islands." Edwards particularly takes an interest in some of the most remote islands on Earth, visiting them with her private seaplane to examine them from above and by foot. A refreshing contrast to the hustle-and-bustle of travel shows revolving around heavily populated locales, "Mysterious Islands" offers a more serene, nature-focused look at isolated getaways. Before hosting "Mysterious Islands," Edwards hosted and published a travel vlog through her website that catapulted her into the public eye.

"Mysterious Islands" is currently available to stream on  fuboTV and Philo .

45. Ride with Norman Reedus

"Cool" is the only way to describe "Ride with Norman Reedus." Cruising on a slew of bikes, "The Boondock Saints" and "The Walking Dead" actor meets up with a different travel partner in each episode to explore the open road of America and international destinations. With six seasons as of 2023, the series has become a lasting one on AMC.

Norman Reedus isn't the first to make a travel show centered on biker culture, so what makes it so unique? His vibe, for one. However, it's also the particular variety that his program offers viewers. Reedus does not stick to just one style or motorcycle manufacturer; he also has many celebrity guests. He has the bikers' seal of approval.

From Dave Chapelle to Keanu Reeves, you'll be surprised that some of your favorite celebrities ride and are just as captivating in an environment you don't usually see them in. Fans of Reedus' work will also be happy to see quite a few familiar faces as his "The Walking Dead" co-stars, including Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Steven Yeun, join in on the fun.

You can watch "Ride with Norman Reedus" on AMC+ .

44. Epic Drives

Car expert Arthur St. Antoine entered the pole position with the automobile travel series "Epic Drives," premiering in 2010. Backed with a whole fleet of cars, often with some of the world's coolest and fastest sports and luxury automobiles, St. Antoine opens the engine up and cuts loose on roads around the globe. Our ranking methodology

Everyone has that one show they're connected to, whether popular or not. "Best" is always subjective, and your all-time favorite series may not even be something someone else knows exists. That doesn't mean it's any less valid, though. We've tried to keep our personal opinions from this list and instead relied on more tangible elements when compiling our rankings. You'll find some of the most beloved, compelling, and critically acclaimed travel shows — and some you may have never heard of.

A travel show's host can be as important as the places traveled. There's a reason why Anthony Bourdain will always appear on lists like this one. His captivating storytelling capabilities and genuinely raw nature make for compelling TV that viewers resonate with. This kind of grab power shows up throughout our list of picks, with the face and voice of a program helping to boost some of the programs in our rankings.

We've considered the likability of the shows chosen here by scouring reviews from multiple sources, like Reddit, Rotten Tomatoes, and IMDb. We've also factored in the number of seasons and any accolades a show may have been given. A lack of awards certainly doesn't dull a hidden gem's luster, though, so don't be surprised that many shows featured here have gone under the award committees' radar.

With the reveal that he was seeing another woman at the same time he was dating Johnie, millions of eyes are on Chris’ girlfriend from Love Is Blind Season 5 and who he cheated on Johnie with before their breakup.

Christopher “Chris” Fox was one of 28 cast members on Love Is Blind Season 5. Love Is Blind , which first premiered on Netflix in February 2020, follows around 30 men and women over the course of a couple weeks as they speed-date in “Pods,” where they can talk to each other but not see each other. During the 10 days, the couples can decide if they want to get engaged—still sight unseen. After the proposal, the couples meet face-to-face for the first time and go on vacation at a resort in Mexico, where they learn more about each other and meet the other couples. After the trip, the couples, who all live in the same city, return to the real world and move into an apartment together as they meet each other’s families and friends and prepare for their weddings. At the altar on their wedding days, the couples must decide whether to marry or break up as they answer the age-old question of if love can be truly blind.

Since the premiere of Love Is Blind , the show has become one of Netflix’s highest-rated series, with more than 30 million views in its first two months. “Across the world, everybody feels the same way: Everyone wants to be loved for who they are on the inside. It doesn’t matter where you live, what you look like, how old you are, what your background is, which class you know, or social structure you feel like you’re a part of, everyone wants to be loved for who they are,” creator Chris Coelen told Variety in 2020. “In today’s society we’ve got all these ways to find love through dating apps and technology. Those things sort of counterintuitively have made people feel disposable. They’ve made people feel like it’s all surface level. It does the opposite thing it was supposed to do. So we thought, what if we took everybody’s devices away, how could we get them to focus on connecting with other people?”

Coelen also told Variety about how the connections on Love Is Blind were based on choice, which is why the relationships were that much stronger. “It was incredibly scary because nobody had to do anything, versus a show like we do Married at First Sight, you sign up and you know, you’re getting married to a stranger. Here, nobody had to do anything. It was if you find someone, if you choose. Which is so scary. They don’t have to go through with the wedding ceremony,” he said. “But assuming they found someone, could that love overcome any judgment in the real world? That’s an incredibly fascinating question. And that’s what we set out to try to examine.”

Johnie, Chris - Love Is Blind

Did Chris cheat on Johnie from Love Is Blind Season 5? When host Vanessa Lachey asked Chris during the Love Is Blind Season 5 if he thought what he did was cheating, he confirmed that he did. “It’s terrible. I know I was wrong. I felt guilty and heartbroken and as many emotions I could. I did fall in love with you and I still care about you,” Chris told Johnie. “It’s a terrible thing to do, and probably one of my biggest regrets is not being forthcoming with you. I’ve apologized and I continuously apologize.”

Johnie revealed that she found out Chris cheated on her when her friend saw him with the other woman. “My friend saw him with the other girl and told me. I think I blamed myself still a little,” she said. Chris added, “It’s my fault. You don’t need to.. it’s not you. One of my biggest faults that I continuously try to work through is to tell people news they don’t want to hear, and it sounds good, like I don’t want to say bad things to somebody, but it doesn’t work. It’s not a good trait to have. I continuously, to this day, try to work through that.”

Johnie added, “I think he thought he didn’t want to hurt me, so he thought maybe he was going to ease his way out.” Chris continued, “There was no plan. It was just I love this girl.”

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight after the Love Is Blind Season 5 reunion, Johnie confirmed that she and Chris are still in touch after their breakup. “It was weird seeing Chris again. We really haven’t talked at all since I found out about everything that happened,” she said. “But it was nice. I feel like we can be cordial and wish each other the best going forward, and it felt like good closure.”

Chris added, “My relationship with Johnie today is good friendship with a crazy experience that we shared together. We did try to work things out. It didn’t work. I’m happy now with the relationship I’m in. I’m in love with my girlfriend who I live with. We’ve dated for over a year now.”

Chrissy Teigen claps back at troll who accused her of having kids ‘to stay relevant’

Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.

The queen of clapbacks has done it again.

Chrissy Teigen hilariously trolled a hater who accused her and her husband, John Legend, of “always trying to stay relevant by talking and keep on having kids.”

Responding to the Instagram comment on Monday, she quipped , “yes very bored and need attention and there is no other way in the world to get it than having kids.”

The rude comment came after Teigen, 38, and Legend, 45, celebrated their daughter Luna’s 8th birthday. To honor their eldest child, the EGOT winner shared a sentimental tribute on Instagram Sunday that showed several recent snaps of her.

“Luna made us parents 8 years ago today and she’s truly the best daughter we could ask for,” he gushed in the caption. “We love you to the moon and back, my brilliant girl!”

Showing her signature humor, the model commented under her husband’s post to let him know she read his sweet comments to their other — and apparently least favorite — daughter Esti.

In addition to Luna and 1-year-old Esti, the couple shares sons Miles, 5, and Wren, 10 months, whom they secretly welcomed last year via surrogate.

They previously lost a son named Jack at about five months into their pregnancy in October 2020.

Last week, while they were attending City Harvest’s 2024 Gala: Magic of Motown, Teigen admitted she felt the urge to have another child when Wren began walking, but Legend protested.

 Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez

Teigen doesn’t just use her wit to defend her family online. On Tuesday, she fired back against an internet troll making fun of Jeff Bezos’ fiancée, Lauren Sánchez.

Restaurateur Keith McNally described Sanchez as “revolting” while sharing several photos of her and the Amazon founder on his Instagram page, and the mother of four did not hesitate to stick up for her.

“She’s actually incredibly dynamic, accomplished and kind, and everyone who knows her would say the same,” she noted.

Megan Fox and 'Love Is Blind's Chelsea Blackwell

Megan Fox is giving her take on the Love Is Blind debate after contestant Chelsea Blackwell said on the dating show she was often compared to the Jennifer’s Body actress.

Blackwell appeared in Season 6 of the Netflix reality competition. During one of her pod dates, she said many people said she looked like Fox, which went viral on social media. Blackwell would soon find herself in the middle of a debate, being mocked and ridiculed by viewers.

She continued, “I didn’t watch it, but I think in general, no one deserves to get bullied. I don’t think she deserved that. I think people went way too hard.”

On the Netflix series, Blackwell noted that other people told her she looked like Fox, but she didn’t see it herself. However, Fox has since seen photos of the Love Is Blind contestant and can see a resemblance.

“I did see a picture of her,” she said. “A hundred thousand percent, people have told her, ‘You kind of look like Megan Fox.’ So I believe she’s telling the truth and I hope like she still has that sparkle in her eye. I hope the world didn’t steal it from her. Mine died long ago from being bullied for 20 years. So I hope that didn’t happen to her. Best wishes and blessings.”
