Co-op Holidays

Why book with Co-op Holidays?

Co Op Holidays Values More Choice

More Choice

From cities and beaches to cruises, tours and adventure holidays, we do it all, choosing your destination is just the beginning...

Every Co-op Holiday makes a difference

When you book a Co-op Holiday we automatically make a donation of £1 per passenger to our charity partner Go Beyond.

We also support Ecologi’s reforestation projects by planting 1 tree per passenger that travels on a Co-op Holiday as we work towards offsetting our carbon emissions.

The Co-op Holidays Promise

From £59 per person, our deposits are one of the lowest in the market. Some holidays incur a higher deposit, but we will make sure you know about this before you book.

2. Change It

If you decide to change your plans you won’t pay any additional administration fees, the only costs that you will incur are those introduced by the travel suppliers, airlines, hoteliers etc. If prices increase or fall as a result of the change, you will either pay or receive the difference.

3. Cancel It

If you change your mind or need to cancel your holiday, you can do this up to 9 weeks prior to departure and you will only lose the deposit you originally paid (and any other fee for other changes you may have made along the way).

4. Refund It

If we have to cancel the holiday, we will issue you with a cash refund within 10 working days. We will not issue deferred refunds or Refund Credit Notes.

There is an enhanced journey planner available here.

Co-op Live and Transport for Greater Manchester are launching a ground-breaking initiative which will see travel on Metrolink and new city centre shuttle buses included in all arena event tickets from 20 April to 30 June 2024, during our opening season. Read more on our getting here page.

For live travel updates, check out Getting to the Co-op Live Arena and follow @beenetwork on X (formerly Twitter).

For more information, visit the TFGM website .

Co-op Live is a 25-minute walk from the heart of Manchester. From Piccadilly Station, following the blue lampposts for our regenerated, step-free CityLink walking route through Manchester’s Ancoats, New Islington and Holt Town areas.

The route is well lit and includes CCTV and helpers on event days to provide support and directions. Fans are met by interactive experiences, including a host of light and sound installations, busker performances and especially comissioned artwork.

Visit the Bee Active website to take a look at the area around Co-op Live. This includes tram stops for those that would like to combine walking with Metrolink travel. Just type the postcode M11 3DU for the arena and let your phone help guide you on your way.

There are over 500 cycle parking spaces at the Etihad Campus.

Greater Manchester now also offers the option to hire bikes. Through the Beryl app, you can locate and unlock your bike, get from A to B, then safely lock your hired bike up again.

There are two bike hire points near the south-west corner of the Etihad stadium, on Ashton New Road.

To find out more about Manchester's cycle hire scheme that operates in the area, visit the dedicated cycle hire information .

If you do not have a valid event ticket at time of travel, you will need to purchase a Metrolink ticket.

-Why is this only available on Metrolink and not Bee Network buses? The bus services in the vicinity of Co-op Live are not yet part of the Bee Network. The initiative therefore focuses on Metrolink services.

- Can I use the number 216 bus service prior to an event to get there?  Yes, you can alight the 216 at the Etihad Stadium, a 10-minute walk from Co-op Live. Note that standard buses to Co-op Live are not yet part of the Bee Network, and therefore travel is not included with your event ticket.

- Why are there only shuttle buses offered post-event? The time and number of shuttle buses are based on expected additional demand across the existing TfGM network. The shuttle buses will support peak demand across the Metrolink network

- Are we planning to introduce more frequent trams? Transport for Greater Manchester has increased the frequency of trams to every six minutes, from Monday to Saturday, between the city centre and the Etihad Campus. Shuttle buses will support at peak times following events at Co-op Live.

- What lines is this valid on? Transport is included across the full Metrolink network from four hours before and up to four hours after each event, in-line with standard operating hours.

- What if my event is on a Sunday? Transport is included on all days of the week, in-line with Metrolink operating hours. Additional shuttle buses will be provided at peak times.

- Do you just show people your event ticket if asked? As a 100% digital ticketed venue, all tickets will be available in advance of events through the Co-op Live app. When asked, please show your event ticket to TfGM staff. If you do not have a valid event ticket at time of travel, you will need to purchase a Metrolink ticket in advance of travel.

- What happens if there are multiple events at Co-op Live and high demand on trams? Where necessary, additional travel measures will be put in place during particularly busy times. The Metrolink initiative is also supported by the CityLink walking route from the city centre to Etihad Campus, and free city centre shuttle buses post event.

- Does this include other events on the Etihad Campus? The initiative is only valid for events at Co-op Live. If you do not have a valid event ticket at time of travel, you will need to purchase a Metrolink ticket in advance of travel.

- I didn’t manage to get the tram because it was too busy.   I am sorry to hear you were unable to travel on your preferred route. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee access to the Metrolink service at any given time. The Metrolink initiative is also supported by the CityLink walking route from the city centre to Etihad Campus, and free city centre shuttle buses post event.

- Can I get my money back because I didn’t manage to travel the way I wanted to (delay/cancelled/missed/full)? Co-op Live are excited to be offering fans Metrolink travel included in their event ticket. As the initiative does not come at additional cost to the fan, we cannot offer any refund for unexpected delays to your journey.

No. We want you to enjoy yourself, and we care about the safety and wellbeing of everyone at the event. Crowd surfing and moshing can lead to serious injury to you and fellow fans. Staff may ask you to leave the venue without a refund if you do crowd surf or mosh.

We’re always here to help. If you have any questions or issues in the venue, please speak to one of our team at the Fan Information Points or around the venue. We’re often able to help in the moment and would strongly recommend you speak to somebody rather than raising the issue after the event. Although we love engaging with fans on social media, we can’t always deal with issues raised there at the right time.

Live shows often include special effects, including pyro, lasers and strobe lighting. Although we do our best to find out in advance, we can’t always let you know before the event if this is the case. Please speak to a member of staff on arrival if you are concerned about possible special effects or contact us in advance for more information where possible.

We’ve made sure that Co-op Live is about more than the show. With a range of bars, restaurants and lounges, there’s plenty of food and drink available, plus official merchandise from the event. Co-op Live supports Challenge 25, so do bring ID with you to make sure you aren’t disappointed if you plan on drinking alcohol. Please be drink aware and look after yourself and those around you. Co-op Live is mostly a cashless venue, and we’ll only accept contactless or card payments, unless you are purchasing merchandise, where cash payments are allowed.

Your safety and security are at the forefront of everything we do. Our designated security team are on hand to ensure your visit to Co-op Live is as it should be. When visiting Co-op Live, please leave plenty of time to pass through our enhanced security checks and cooperate with our staff as they carry out important work to keep us all safe.

We have comprehensive procedures in place for every type of incident, meeting regularly and working extensively with local police and other authorities. We encourage anyone attending our events to report any suspicious activity to our security staff immediately. To understand more about how we are keeping you safe, visit our Safety page .

Yes, please speak to a steward in the venue who will be able to provide access to our multi-faith prayer room.

No, readmission is not permitted at Co-op Live.

Yes, Wi-Fi is available throughout the venue.

Unfortunately, we can’t make this happen, but some events include meet and greet packages as part of the ticket options. Do check this out when purchasing your tickets.

Co-op Live is a no smoking venue, including all e-cigarettes and vapes. If you’re coming to an event, you can’t leave and re-enter once you’ve gone through the ticket check.

Yes – there are defibrillators outside all four main entrances of the arena, outside the three first aid rooms and in the bars on Levels 2,3 and 4.

We have Fan Services Information Points located on Level 1 (opposite Block 112) and Level 3 (behind Block 323). Our team will be on hand to support you with any queries you may have including:

  • Answering any questions
  • Supplying ear defenders (subject to a fee and availability)
  • Supplying Young Visitor Wristbands
  • Managing Lost and Found Items

Assistance Dogs UK - ADUK registered assistance dogs are welcome at the venue. However, we recognise that not all assistance dogs are registered with Assistance Dogs UK Members and assistance dogs can be trained by their owners. We allow access to assistance dogs who are not formally trained by Assistance Dogs UK as long as they meet the Equalities and Human Rights Commission’s definition of an assistance dog.

This means your dog needs to have been trained:

• Not to wander around the premises or approach other customers.

• To only go to the toilet on command in a designated area of the event.

• To sit or lie quietly next to their owner.

Due to the crowded nature of our events and the low lighting conditions customers can experience, we request that your assistance dog wears a high vis jacket, even if they do not usually do so. This request is to ensure we meet customers’ access requirements while ensuring we also fulfil our legal obligation to provide a safe environment for all customers.

Event staff will be available to look after your assistance dog to allow you to fully enjoy the show. Please let us know in advance by contacting us  if you are bringing your assistance dog to the venue or if you have any questions.

Please note that on rare occasions, we may need to relocate you to a more suitable seat should you wish to remain with your assistance dog.

Co-op Live is proud to recognise the hidden disabilities sunflower scheme – please show your sunflower lanyard to a member of our security team and they will show you your dedicated entry door with extra support should you need it.

The venue has a fully accessible hearing loop that can be accessed from anywhere within the venue bowl.

If you require more information, please contact the venue directly .

Although we don’t normally allow fans to bring supplies into the venue with them, we welcome fans who need to bring medical supplies, equipment or food and drink to manage medical conditions. Please contact us  in advance should this be the case, providing as much detail as possible, including your seat number or ticket type so we can ensure the event teams are aware. A medical team will be available at each event.

Please note that on rare occasions, we may need to relocate you to a more suitable seat depending on the equipment you require to bring into the venue.

If you require British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter, audio description or any other assisted performance, please contact the venue directly at least four weeks in advance of the event.

Events are likely to include special effects including strobe and flashing lights, smoke, haze, and pyrotechnics. Any effects being used in the performance will be displayed at all entry points to Co-op Live and the seating bowl. Please speak to a member of staff on arrival should this be a cause for concern or contact us in advance for more information where possible.

  • Level 00 – The Street
  • Level 01 – Outside Block 101 and 113

Our emergency systems include both visual and audible warnings. Assistance will be provided and where necessary fans will be guided to a safe space or refuge for evacuation, including the use of evacuation lifts. Evacuation routes are signed throughout the venue.

A 26-year-old man died Friday after plunging from a luxury Manhattan co-op in an apparent suicide, police said.

The young man was found in the rear courtyard of the Imperial House on East 69th Street off Lexington Avenue in Lenox Hill around 7:40 p.m.

He was suffering from “injuries indicative of falling from an elevated position,” according to the NYPD.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said no foul play was suspected.

The Imperial House is described as “among the finest, most desirable white glove co-operatives combining elegance and service” by realtors.

A two-bed, two-bathroom co-op sells for $1,900,000, while an additional bed and bath raises the price to a shocking $3,495,000, according to listings.

Late actress Joan Crawford called the Imperial House, then an apartment building, home from 1968 until her death in 1977.

People queue for the welcoming ceremony and test event for Co-op Live in Manchester.

More gigs postponed amid opening week chaos at Manchester Co-op Live arena

General manager resigns after test event problems at 23,500-capacity venue, with shows rescheduled

The beleaguered Co-op Live arena has postponed gigs by the comedian Peter Kay for the second time, on the day its general manager resigned over delays to opening the venue.

A number of gigs have been rescheduled at the 23,500-capacity Manchester venue, which had been due to open three days ago but will now not open until May.

Kay, whose two shows had already been pushed back when the arena was beset by technical problems, once again apologised to fans, adding: “I know, I can’t believe it either.”

Head shot of Gary Roden

Gary Roden quit as general manager of the new arena after also being criticised for saying some small music venues were “poorly run”.

The venue held its first gig last Saturday, with Rick Astley as a surprise guest, performing to 11,000 arena workers, VIPs and press at a free test event. The show experienced problems including the cancellation of as many as 4,000 tickets, some one hour before the show, which left people “fuming” .

Ticket-holders were told they could attend a gig a week later by the US rock duo the Black Keys instead. However, the Co-op Live arena has also now rescheduled this gig to 15 May, with Peter Kay due to appear on 23 and 24 May.

One of the owners of the new venue said the comic had been “fantastic” and had “a good sense of humour”. The arena will now be opened by US rap artist A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.

Confirming the rescheduling to the Manchester Evening News , Tim Leiweke, the chief executive of the sport and real estate giant Oak View Group, said: “Peter Kay has been fantastic. I can vouch, he has a very good sense of humour. God bless him. He’s agreed to push back to May 23 and 24. And that gives us a few extra days next week as well.

“I never thought A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie is going to open the building, but A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie is going to open the building.”

A Co-op Live statement thanked Roden for his “help bringing the UK’s newest arena to live entertainment fans” and wished him “the best for the future”. It said it was appointing Rebecca Kane Burton, who previously ran London’s O2 Arena, as the interim general manager.

Sited on the Etihad campus next to the Manchester City football ground, the £365m venue is scheduled to host Take That, the Killers, Eric Clapton, Barry Manilow and Olivia Rodrigo in the coming weeks, with plans to hold the MTV Europe music awards there in November.

Performers at the opening event: a brass band including saxophone, trumpet, trombone and french horn play, the musicians wearing red military-style jackets, while mime artists in silver costumes entertain people as they enter the arena

Construction began in 2021 on the venue, which is financed by the City Football Group (owned by the billionaire Emirati Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan) and Oak View Group. While it was welcomed by city leaders, questions have been asked about whether another large-scale music venue was needed, just 2 miles from the 21,000-capacity Manchester AO arena.

Co-op Live, which contains several smaller gig rooms, has been criticised for declining to sign up to a £1-a-ticket levy that funds the Music Venue Trust’s (MVT) “pipeline investment fund” for grassroots venues.

Roden told the BBC the levy was “too simplistic”, adding that some venues were poorly run and there was no robust system to decide who got the funding. The venue later distanced itself from his comments, saying they did not represent the views of the company.

In response, the MVT told NME it was “disrespectful and disingenuous to suggest” small venues were poorly run.

It said: “Obviously, the irony of making ill-judged, unnecessary and misleading comments about grassroots music venues on the day that the launch of their new arena has unfortunately fallen into such difficulties is not lost on anyone in the music industry, on artists, or on audiences.”

Co-op Live arena in Manchester

West London could soon get a massive new live music venue

The creators of Manchester’s glitzy new Co-op Live are planning the ‘greatest arena in the world’ for Hammersmith

Angira Sen

This month the UK’s largest indoor arena will open in Manchester. Called the Co-op Live, it apparently cost a whopping £365 million and has space for 23,500 gig-goers – vastly dwarfing London’s O2 Arena, which has a capacity of 20,000.

If you’re a Londoner looking enviously over at Mannie’s swish new venue (pictured above), well, we may have some exciting news.  American entrepreneur Tim Leiweke – the guy behind the Co-op Live and owner of Oak View Group – has revealed that he wants to build ‘the greatest arena in the world’ in London.

Speaking to the Telegraph , Leiweke said it could be up to a year before the plans become a reality. Or, in his words, before  ‘it gets real’.

When asked about a potential location, Leiweke said:  ‘If you guessed Hammersmith, it would be a good guess.

‘We’re pretty focused on a particular site. We’re excited about the site.’

So, sounds like west London could be getting an arena to rival the Co-op Live! But it might be best not to get too carried away just yet.  Mr Leiweke went on to tell the Telegraph : ‘But I understand there’s a process, and we need to talk to neighbours, we need to talk to the community, we need to talk to the business leaders and to political leaders. We’re going to play by their rules, I'm not going to get ahead of them.’

While Manchester’s Co-op Live sure is glam, it hasn’t been without its issues . Due to power supply problems, the venue’s opening two gigs with comedian Peter Kay this week were postponed for an entire month. The venue will open next month.

On the hunt for great gig venues? Look no further than the best music venues in the UK, according to musicians  and our list of London’s finest clubs .

County Road 26 to open Monday for local, critical trips

Limited travel for commuters using the lake city cutoff opens after state and county collaboration as bridge closure continues.

Montrose and Gunnison Counties — This weekend, CDOT and Gunnison County are working together to accelerate improvements to County Road 26 (Lake City Cutoff) so it can open Monday for local commuter travel between Montrose and Gunnison.  At the same time, engineers continue to conduct safety inspections of the US Highway 50 bridge crossing the Blue Mesa Reservoir at Dillon Pinnacles. This bridge, located west of Gunnison at Mile Point 136.3, closed Thursday in the interest of public safety after an inspection revealed a crack in one of the girders. The technical structure name for the bridge is K-07-B.

Recognizing the US 50 closure creates a significant detour for commuters traveling between Montrose and Gunnison, CDOT and Gunnison County officials this weekend prioritized getting a shorter access route in place for local travel between the two communities. That collaboration will continue as officials work to further fortify the road with gravel and manage traffic to a level that the road can safely carry.

“We are starting slow in order to increase the chances we can go faster later. The impact on western Colorado cannot be understated and we are exhausting all opportunities and partnerships to mitigate the impacts of the bridge closure,” said Martin Schmidt, Assistant Gunnison County Manager for Public Works.

On Monday, April 22, pilot cars will lead  passenger vehicles through the access route two times a day in each direction. Because CR 26 is a high-mountain, unpaved road that is not intended to accommodate the traffic volumes of US 50, travel times will be limited and commercial vehicles exceeding a 16,001 gross vehicle weight rating are prohibited. The schedule for piloted travel is:

  • 6 to 6:30 a.m. and 6 to 6:30 p.m. for westbound travel
  • 7 to 7:30 a.m. and 7 to 7:30 p.m. for eastbound travel

The queue for westbound pilot car operations will start near the intersection of CO 149 and CR 26 and the queue for eastbound travel will start near the intersection of US 50 and CR 26. The travel time on the access route is expected to be 30 minutes or more.

County Road 26 will only be open for local, essential travel during these timeframes. The road will remain closed at all other times for the ongoing restoration work needed to ensure the road remains safe for travel.

A hotline and email continue to be in place to assist customers with questions about the closure. Anyone with questions can reach out via 970-648-4423 or [email protected] . Calls will be closely monitored and will receive a prompt reply. Information is also available on the project website at bit.ly/us50bridge . Travelers should refer to COtrip.org or the smartphone COtrip Planner app to plan an alternate route.

“CDOT appreciates Gunnison county’s dedication and hard work as we cooperate to offer more options to help the western slope manage this safety closure.  CDOT will continue to support the county as we focus on the opening of County Road 26 to serve the critical needs of residents,” said CDOT Executive Director Shoshana Lew. “County Road 26 is an important local route that is up to five hours more efficient than detouring via state highways. However, this road currently has a natural roadbed and can only accommodate limited traffic - so it is important that we help Gunnison County focus this capacity on the needs of local communities most impacted by the closure.”

There are two recommended detours for through travel via Interstate 70 to the north or US 160 to the south and these detours add six to eight hours of travel time. CDOT is coordinating with emergency service providers to ensure emergency response is unaffected.

Travel Impacts

  • US 50 is closed between Montrose and Gunnison
  • Recommended alternate routes are I-70 to the north or US 160 to the south
  • A limited, local detour is in place for travel at specific times
