Elsah's Home for the Holidays House Tour is back this year with its annual showcase of the village's historic houses!
See ten traditional Elsah homes decorated for the holidays, along with five public buildings, village shops, and bed and breakfast inns- don't miss the cozy tour in the picturesque and historic village! Spend a very special holiday afternoon on the first Saturday of December and gift shop from local Elsah businesses! Advance tickets go on sale October 15 and can be purchased online or in person at the Elsah General Store, Green Tree Inn, Maple Leaf Cottage Inn, or the Alton Visitor's Center after that date. Proceeds benefit the Historic Elsah Foundation.

Preserving and Enhancing the Village of Elsah
Home for the Holidays Tour, December 5
Experience a simpler time in the quaint, historic Village of Elsah, Illinois. You’re invited to tour a dozen selected private residences decorated for the holidays. The whole village retains the character and feel of a bygone time. Many of the homes on the tour were constructed in the mid-19th century, often with the stone from the local quarry.
Musical entertainment will take place in both churches in the village.
Horse and carriage rides are available and included in the cost of the ticket.
In addition to the private homes on the tour, other points of interest in Elsah, which are open to all, are the Village Museum, Farley Music Hall, the Village Civic Center and historic school room, Maple Leaf Cottage Inn, Green Tree Inn, Elsah General Store, and Christian Science Reading Room.

One of the homes on the tour, the McNair House at 66 Mill Street, built in 1858, includes an original mural of Village of Elsah by renowned artist Glenn Felch, painted in 1973. Several other paintings of Elsah scenes and buildings by Felch will be offered for sale, with proceeds to Historic Elsah Foundation. House tour tickets may be purchased at Elsah General Store, Elsah Museum, Green Tree Inn, Maple Leaf Cottage Inn, and Alton Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau. Advanced and online ticket purchases may be picked up at the Civic Center at 51 Mill Street. Day-of-event tickets may also be purchased at the Civic Center.

Plan a weekend escape or simply come for a day, and you are sure to be filled by heart-warming home tours and strolls back in time.
Start your holiday trip off right and experience an authentic early Americana Christmas at the annual Home for the Holidays home tour in the historic Village of Elsah.
Join us in Elsah, the village where "time stood still", to experience an early Americana Christmas at the annual Home for the Holidays Saturday, Dec. 1, from Noon to 4 p.m.
Tour select historic homes decorated for the holidays, take a horse drawn carriage ride and enjoy a fixed price lunch at Farley's Music Hall. Lunch will be served on a first-come first-served basis and is provided by My Just Desserts.
Advance ticket sales are available by going to HistoricElsah.org .
Local ticket venues include the Alton Visitor's Center , the Green Tree Inn , Maple Leaf Inn and Elsah General Store in Elsah. Tickets are also available at the Alton Visitor's Center and My Just Desserts , 31 E. Broadway, Alton. Tickets will be available the day of the event. Advance tickets are $15 per person. Event day tickets are $18 per person. Ticket prices do not include lunch which is available for $11 per person. For more information visit HistoricElsah.org ..

The "Home For The Holidays" house tour is coming up on Saturday afternoon, December 2 nd, from one until five. A total of 18 buildings will be included this year, including Farley Music Hall and eight private homes. Tickets for the Holiday House Tour are $20 in advance or $25 on the day of the event.
